    The author analyses the role of the radio news bulletin, based on the example of “Fakty” on the RMF FM radio station. In this, he uses the theory of persuasive techniques researched by M. Gajlewicz; however, he also takes into account linguistic aspects of the communication and modern rhetoric understood as effective persuading. The purpose of the article is to prove that radio news on a commercial radio station is not actually just “pure” information; a neutral informative style is consequently displaced by the rhetorical style, full of intentionally used linguistic mechanisms, to make the information more persuasive.

    W artykule są analizowane tytuły audycji radiowych zawierających nazwy rozgłośni. Celem analiz było ustalenie, jakich technik formalnych używa się, by umieścić nazwę stacji w tytule audycji; w jakim celu się to robi i które cechy współczesnego radia są w ten sposób eksponowane. Zbadano zawartość ramówek ok. 120 stacji różnego typu z całej Polski.
    This article presents the analysis of radio broadcast containing the names of radio stations. The goal is to indicate what formal techniques are used to place the name of the radio station in the title of the radio broadcast. Moreover, attempt is being made to evidence what are the techniques to emphasise the name of the radio station in this way. Conclusions are being drawn on the basis of 120 radio stations and their broadcast services.

    Artykuł przedstawia, w jaki sposób lokalne stacje radiowe mówią o sobie w serwisie informacyjnym: jakie miejsce zajmują elementy autoprezentacyjne w strukturze globalnej serwisu oraz pojedynczej wiadomości; jakiego typu środki językowe są wykorzystywane; jakie role, funkcje i cechy rozgłośnie usiłują sobie w ten sposób przypisać. Zbadano ponad 100 serwisów informacyjnych nadanych przez piętnaście rozgłośni w Warszawie, Krakowie i Poznaniu.
    The article describes how the radio station presents itself in the news service and elaborates on the position of self-presentation in the global structure of the news service and in single news programme. The purpose of the article is to discuss the roles, function and qualities of the radio stations as well as the language that is being used. The paper is based on fi ndings from more than 100 news services broadcast by 15 radio stations located in Warsaw, Cracow and Poznan.

    Opis:
    A simple and efficient method for evaluation of near field of the GSM base station antennas in urban environment is presented in this paper. The method is based on the replacement of panel antenna with a discrete linear array. Moreover, the geometrical optics approach is used to consider the influence of environment. The approximate results are found to be in excellent agreement with the results obtained by using the method of moments (MoM). Presented method can be successfully used for fast evaluation of exposure to electromagnetic fields emitted by the GSM base station antennas in urban environment.

    The era of digitization has led to a shift in radio from a strictly audial character toward audio-visual experiences. This article aims to characterize the transmedia actions performed by the Radio Four Polish Station and Radio Eska. In the cases described, a convergence has been carried out on the technological level which allows for information to be transmitted more succinctly. Yet, it is still characterized by its ephemeral and linear nature, which remains a unique feature of traditional media. The article presupposes that the television medium is not flexible and autonomic enough towards time and space to dominate radio broadcasting.

    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie głównych problemów nurtujących badaczy i środowisko menedżerskie w obszarze zarządzania radiem (rozgłośnią radiową) oraz wskazanie kierunków rozwoju badań nad zarządzaniem radiem. Zwrócono uwagę, że zarządzanie radiem stanowi subdyscyplinę nowej dziedziny badawczej, jaką jest zarządzanie mediami. Artykuł podejmuje próbę określenia obszarów badawczych w dziedzinie zarządzania radiem oraz przedstawia najważniejsze stanowiska teoretyczne związane z rozwojem studiów nad zarządzaniem radiem. W artykule przeprowadzono także krytyczną analizę i ocenę literatury w zakresie omawianej problematyki. Na zakończenie wskazano propozycje kierunków dalszych badań oraz przedstawiono główne przesłanki, które mogą być pomocne przy wyznaczaniu możliwych kierunków badawczych w tym obszarze.
    This article presents the main problems that researchers and managers face in the area of the radio (radio broadcasting station) management and indicates the directions for the development of radio management studies. The paper argues that the radio management is the subdiscipline of the new research area in media management. It also attempts to identify areas of research in radio management and indicates the most important theoretical position associated with the development of the radio management studies. Critical analysis and the evaluation of the literature in the fi eld is being concerned. The paper deals with suggestions for further study in this area and the main considerations that may be helpful in determining possible research directions in the radio management.

    One of the main problems in modern navigation of both manned and unmanned transport systems is that of transport safety. Differential GNSS technology has been used to improve the accuracy of transport positioning, in which position is calculated relative to a fixed reference station with a known position XYZ. Unfortunately, GNSS is vulnerable to malicious intrusion. GNSS signals and/or correction signals from the reference station can be spoofed by false signals, and special receivers have been used to provide defenses against such attacks. But how can the roving receiver (i.e. the user) be sure that the information they receive is authentic? Spoofing is the transmission of a matched-GNSS-signal-structure and/or signals to a reference station in order to cause interference and attempt to commandeer the tracking loops of a victim receiver, thereby allowing manipulation of the receiver’s timing or navigation solution. A spoofer can transmit its counterfeit signals from a stand-off distance of several hundred meters, or it can be co-located with its victim. In this article we consider the principles of spoofing detection using Differential GNSS, in which a correction signal from the reference station is used for the detection of spoofing.

    After the attack of Germany on the Soviet Union there was a need to conduct an intensive propaganda action. The Communist International, supervised by the Soviet authority, established 16 secret national stations. One of them was the Polish language T. Kościuszko broadcasting station. It functioned in the Soviet Union from August 1941 to August 22, 1944. It broadcast for Poland, which was occupied by the Third Reich. It was to encourage Poles to fight against Germans, helping at the same time Soviet authorities during the difficult time of Soviet military defeats. When the Communist International was dissolved, the T. Kościuszko broadcasting station fulfilled this goal under the supervision of the International Information Department of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Among numerous matters discussed by the Polish language editorial board, there was an issue of the German People’s List – functioning in Poland under the German occupation. The Polish language station encouraged people living in the territories annexed by the Third Reich (Wielkopolska, Pomorze, Górny Śląsk) to boycott the process of Germanization of Polish nationals. The process, consisting in granting citizenship of the Third Reich, obliged to military service in Wehrmacht. The radio deterred its listeners from joining German military forces, which was to have its consequences for the events in the Eastern Front: the authors of the broadcasts intended to indirectly support the Red Army fighting against the Nazi aggressor.

    This article describes the device which may be used to generate false GPS signals and emit them into radio communication channel. Such attack is called GPS spoofing. Each GPS receiver which remains in the range of a spoofing device (called spoofer) indicates time and position coordinates which are predetermined by the spoofer’s operator. Spoofing may be used e.g. in order to disable the terrorist group from obtaining correct navigation information. The article presents the structure of realized jamming station, which is capable of generating false GPS signals. Specific elements of this station are characterized. Moreover, the article shows the results of spoofing performance tests, which were conducted in field conditions.
    Artykuł poświęcono opisowi układu umożliwiającego wytwarzanie i wprowadzanie do kanału radiokomunikacyjnego fałszywych sygnałów systemu GPS. Atak tego typu jest nazywany spoofingiem GPS. Odbiornik GPS znajdujący się w zasięgu urządzenia emitującego takie sygnały (tzw. spoofera) wskazuje czas i współrzędne położenia odbiornika zadane przez operatora spoofera. Spoofing może zostać użyty na przykład w celu uniemożliwienia grupie terrorystycznej uzyskania poprawnej informacji nawigacyjnej. W artykule przedstawiono budowę zrealizowanej stacji zakłócającej umożliwiającej wytwarzanie fałszywych sygnałów nawigacyjnych GPS. Scharakteryzowane zostały poszczególne elementy tej stacji. Ponadto zaprezentowano wyniki wykonanych w warunkach terenowych testów efektywności spoofingu z użyciem opracowanego urządzenia.

    A Yagi plasma antenna model was established by HFSS according to the relationship between plasma dielectric constant and electron density. The patterns were simulated by changing plasma parameters and the number of director dipoles. Results show that when the passive vibrators were switched off, the antenna is omnidirectional antenna. The directionality increases with the increase of the number of passive dipole and the main lobe of which narrows down. Then the plasma Yagi antenna model is established by plasma tube, the gain changed by changing the number of passive dipoles, so the plasma Yagi antenna has a very good reconfigurability. Results prove that the feasibility of the plasma Yagi antenna can be used on AIS base station of Ships’ Routeing waters. It can promote the communication and capability of maritime supervision in Ships’ Routeing waters.
