The article deals with two fairy-tale motives – “youth” and “old age” in Mikhail Osor-gin’s novel A Quiet Street (Sivtzev Vrazhek, 1928). Owing to the author’s outlook and artistic strategy they do not stand in the opposition to one another, but rather depict parallel vectors of human life, its presentation the context of space (micro and macro space) as well as in the context of a philosophically meaningful historical time correlated with eternity. The author’s aim is supported by the novel’s structure – a freely arranged series of short stories. The article exposes the problem of the writer’s comprehension of human life within different time and spatial plans. The time layer covers daily, annual and eternal / universal time. The spatial dimension of the artistic world takes into account the Infinite Universe, the solar system, the Earth, Russia, Moscow and the corner house in Sivtzev Vrazhek, which is the main center of the novel structure.

The article reviewed the themes and leading images of the Russian (O. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, I. Bunin, A. Akhmatova, V. Khlebnikov, V. Berestov), of the Lithuanian (M. Vainilaitis, Y. Nyakroshius), of the Jewish (R. Balyasna, J. Gruber, P. Kyrychansky, M. Mohylevych), of the Gypsy (L. Manusha, O. Germano) poets, of the Czech (J. Neruda), of the Avar (R. Gamzatov), of the Armenian (G. Davtyan), of the Balkar (K. Kuliev) poets, as well as features of Slovak folklore translated by V. Pidpaly and D. Cherednychenko. The article reviewed the dominant motives of foreign writers, in the works of which were depicted love and devotion to the native people, admiration for the world of art and national identity, the beauty of natural landscapes and children’s world of fairy tales. The scientific article represented the appeal to the inner world of the lyrical hero of poets of both nations, his national self-identification, historiosophical understanding of existence in society. The focus is on the translation literary concept that evoke not only negative emotions, but also balance the inner state of the lyrical narrator, promotes his spiritual harmony. In “silent poetry”, in contrast to the literary work of the foreign writers, the literary concept of loneliness also describes the balanced inner state of the lyrical hero, his spiritual harmony. “Silent poets” were appealed to an aesthetically valuable poetic word, which reflected the ideological neutrality in the intertextual plane of the poem and focused on the inner intentions of the foreign poets, which were based primarily on his moral qualities. Given the translations of the foreign poets, the lyrics focused on primarily on the moral qualities of man, his inner development.
У статті розглянуто теми та провідні образи російських (О. Пушкін, М. Лермонтов, І. Бунін, А. Ахматова, В. Хлєбніков, В. Берестов), литовських (М. Вайнілайтіс, Ю. Някрошюс), єврейських (Р. Балясн, Я. Грубер, П. Киричанський, М. Могилевич), циганських (Л. Мануша, О. Германо) поетів, чеського (Я. Неруда), аварського (Р. Гамзатов), вірменського (Г. Давтян), балкарського (К. Кулієв) ліриків, а також особливості словацького фольклору в перекладах В. Підпалого та Д. Чередниченка. У творчості вказаних митців осмислено домінантні мотиви, в яких переважають любов і відданість рідному народу, захоплення світом мистецтва, актуалізація національної самосвідомості, краса природних ландшафтів та дитячий світ казки. У науковій роботі продемонстровано звернення до внутрішнього світу ліричного героя поетів різних народів, його національну самоідентифікацію, історіософське осмислення буття в суспільстві. У центрі уваги – переклад літературних концептів, які репрезентують не лише негативні емоції, а й урівноважений внутрішній стан ліричного оповідача, що сприяє його духовній гармонії. У «тихій поезії», на відміну від літературної творчості закордонних митців, образ самотності, який зазвичай описує гармонійний внутрішній стан ліричного героя та його духовну рівновагу, є провідним. «Тихі лірики» зображали естетично вартісне поетичне слово – маркер ідейної нейтральності в інтертекстуальній площині вірша. Іноземні поети фокусувалися на внутрішніх інтенціях ліричного героя, що ґрунтувалися на його моральних якостях. Їхня лірика орієнтована насамперед на естетику людини, її внутрішній розвиток.

W drugiej połowie 2021 roku w USA powstało nowe zjawisko zwane Quiet Quitting (QQ) dotyczące nastawienia do pracy. Zjawisko jest swego rodzaju trendem, który za sprawą mediów społecznościowych zyskał dużą popularność, zwłaszcza wśród osób z pokolenia Z ze względu na ich stosunkowo dużą aktywność w świecie wirtualnym. QQ dotyczy wyrzeczenia się tzw. kultu pracy oraz wykonywania swoich obowiązków służbowych na poziomie absolutnego minimum w celu zachowania work-life balance, a także uniknięcia wypalenia zawodowego. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie nastawienia do pracy osób z pokolenia Z pod kątem występowania w nim tendencji charakterystycznych dla zjawiska QQ, a także określenie kluczowych dla tej grupy aspektów pracy, które motywują ich do wykonywania obowiązków zawodowych. Można założyć, że wśród pracowników pokolenia Z zachowania charakterystyczne dla zjawiska QQ występują w większym stopniu niż wśród ogółu polskich pracowników, ponieważ to oni, za pomocą mediów społecznościowych, w największej ilości wpłynęli na rozprzestrzenienie się tego trendu, zatem można zadać pytanie: czy pracownicy pokolenia Z podchodzą do pracy zgodnie z założeniami QQ? Wyniki pokazały, że podejście do pracy osób z pokolenia Z nie pokrywa się z założeniami zjawiska QQ. Pracownicy pokolenia Z dążą do zachowania balansu pomiędzy pracą a życiem prywatnym, jednak w dalszym ciągu angażują się w obowiązki zawodowe, a praca jest dla nich istotnym elementem życia. W życiu zawodowym cenią sobie przede wszystkim dobrą atmosferę i integrację z zespołem, co też stanowi najważniejszą składową ich motywacji do pracy.
In the second half of 2021, a new phenomenon called Quiet Quitting has emerged in the US regarding attitudes toward work. The phenomenon is a kind of trend that has gained a lot of popularity thanks to social media, especially among people from Generation Z, due to their relatively high activity in the virtual world. Quiet Quitting refers to renouncing the 'cult of work' and performing one's work duties to the bare minimum, in order to maintain work-life balance and also to avoid professional burnout. The purpose of this article is to present the attitudes toward work of Generation Z people, in terms of their tendency's characteristic of the Quiet Quitting phenomenon, as well as to identify the key aspects of work for this group that motivate them to perform their professional duties. It was deemed important to survey this age group, as the people who mainly contributed to the prevalence of the phenomenon. The survey found that 57% of respondents had not heard of the phenomenon of Quiet Quitting, and 80% of respondents said they were engaged in their work tasks. The analysis of the results of the survey made it possible to determine that the approach to work of people from generation Z, does not coincide with the assumptions of the phenomenon of Quiet Quitting employees from this generation strive to maintain a balance between work and private life, but they continue to engage in professional duties, and work is an important part of life for them. In their work life, they value, above all, a good atmosphere and integration with the team, which is also what motivates them the most to work.

Pursuant to the amendment to the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Act of 7 April 2017 amending the Act – The Code of Administrative Procedure and certain other acts, the settling of a matter quietly has been incorporated into the framework of this Code. The legislator reserved a peculiar procedural regime for cases settled quietly, based on the formula of simplified, de-formalised proceedings, with simul-taneous setting of limits for the rights of the party in the trial. Pursuant to Article 122d § 1 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, the provisions of Articles 10 and 79a of the Code of Administrative Procedure shall not apply to matters settled qui-etly. There is no doubt that the addition to Section II of the Code of Administrative Procedure of Chapter 8a on quiet settlement of matters results in the application of the Code of Administrative Procedure to matters within this scope, including, inter alia, Article 28 of the Code – on the side of proceedings. This means that in matters settled quietly, similarly as in the case of matters settled by an administrative deci-sion, the subjective scope of proceedings is determined by Article 28 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, stating that each party is a party whose legal interest or duty the proceedings relate to, or who demands the authority to act due to its legal interest or duty. At the same time, the reservation made in Art. 122a § 2 of the Code of Administrative Procedure that a case is deemed to have been settled quietly when the party’s claim has been fully accepted does not mean in practice that only homogeneous interests of the party or parties expressed in the claim are involved in the case, and that the legal interests of subjects not filing a claim will not be involved in the case. As a consequence of the above, the fundamental question arises as to what extent the provision of Article 122d(1) of the Code of Administra-tive Procedure interferes with the conventional system of guaranteeing the rights of a party or parties adopted for cases settled in the jurisdiction process. The starting point of the analysis is the identification of the basic standard for determining the procedural position of a party in administrative proceedings, and then confronting with the solutions of the institution of quiet settlement of the matter in the scope different from the standard.

In spite of the implications of its name, the Quiet Revolution in Quebec seems to be rather tempestuous at the family level. The conflict between generations, set in a historic context, puts into question the functioning of the entire society, especially the dominant role of the father. The objective of this article, therefore, is to analyze the position of the father in the social context. Thus, I discuss various types of fathers: a farmer father, the patriarch who leaves the household chores to the wife; a worker father, subservient to both his wife at home and to his boss at the factory; a bourgeois father who works for himself; and finally, an immigrant father who seeks his place within the new society.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the parameters of the autocorrelation function when assessing time series ground reaction force (GRF) signals during quiet standing. GRF in the three directions were recorded on two Kistler force plates during three 15-s trials in a sample of 82 (31 females and 51 males) participants. Autocorrelation was performed on the GRF data and four parameters characterizing the function were computed. Comparisons of the right- and left-foot parameter means showed significant differences in mediolateral GRF for the time of the function's decay to 0, magnitude of the derivative output, and mean decay velocity to the extremum. Significant correlations were observed among all parameters – weak correlations between the time of the function's decay to 0 and the time to the first extremum and strong correlations between the derivative output and mean decay velocity to the extremum. The analyzed autocorrelation function parameters can serve as a precise measure of the motor control process during quiet standing. The strong correlations observed between the four parameters indicate that they evaluate similar properties of the central nervous system as a regulator of balance maintenance.

The paper deals with the relationship between soundscapes and tourism. Its goal is to analyse the impact of tourism on soundscapes and to indicate the opportunities offered by soundscapes for the development of sustainable tour-ism. A new form of tourism – sound tourism – is based on travelling to places with unique acoustic characteristics or unique soundscapes. The paper demonstrates that sound tourism conforms to the idea of sustainable develop-ment. It also highlights the fact that tranquil areas should be protected, given the opportunities they offer for tour-ism, recreation and sustainable development.
Artykuł dotyczy relacji krajobrazów dźwiękowych i turystyki. Celem artykułu jest analiza wpływu turystyki na krajobrazy dźwiękowe oraz wskazanie potencjału krajobrazów dźwiękowych dla rozwoju turystyki zrównoważonej. Zwrócono uwagę na nową formę turystyki, zwaną turystyką dźwiękową, polegającą na podróżowaniu do miejsc charakteryzujących się wyjątkowością akustyczną lub występowaniem unikalnych krajobrazów dźwięko-wych. Turystyka dźwiękowa została ukazana jako zgodna z koncepcją zrównoważonego rozwoju. Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę ochrony obszarów cichych z uwagi na ich ogromny potencjał dla turystyki, rekreacji i rozwoju zrównoważonego.

Both conversational analysis and examination of interactive rituals concentrate on distinguishing the structure of everyday conversations and language definition of social situations of the social interaction participants. It seems though that the researchers devote too little attention to the development of methods and techniques of research, detailed analysis of the transcription of keeping quiet by the participants of the social interaction. The aim of the article is to focus attention on the problems of treating meaningful silence by researchers as a speech, the tool and means of social actor expression, as important as other parts of speech. Some social contexts and conditions of silence were shown within different situations and worlds. The causes, results and myths of employees silence were presented. Silence was analysed in the context of existing in social worlds orders as a sign of crystallization and formation of statuses and micro social processes with special attention on the role of silence of social actors. The text uses some experience of language researchers, sociologists of language and emotion.

This article describes a new design solution for a hybrid bearing intended for use in prosumer wind turbines with a vertical axis of rotation of the turbine rotor. The automatic rotational speed-dependent load-switching, lubrication and cooling systems applied in the hybrid bearing ensure a particularly long service life and highly quiet running while maintaining high energy efficiency over the full rotational speed range of shafts with turbine rotors. The hybrid bearing design has been adapted to the use of lubricating fluids with the lowest possible viscosity, including oil-water emulsions and even water itself. The use of water as a lubricant makes the bearing system highly environmentally friendly and completely fire-safe.
W artykule opisano nowe rozwiązanie konstrukcyjne łożyska hybrydowego przeznaczonego do zastosowania w prosumenckich siłowniach wiatrowych o pionowej osi obrotu wirnika turbinowego. Zastosowane w łożysku hybrydowym układy automatycznego przełączania obciążenia w zależności od prędkości obrotowej, smarowania i chłodzenia zapewniają uzyskanie szczególnie długiej trwałości i dużej cichobieżności przy zachowaniu wysokiej sprawności energetycznej w pełnym zakresie prędkości wirowania wałów z wirnikami turbinowymi. Konstrukcja łożyska hybrydowego przystosowana została do wykorzystania cieczy smarnych o możliwie niskiej lepkości, w tym emulsji olejowo-wodnych, a nawet samej wody. Wykorzystanie wody jako środka smarnego powoduje, że łożyskowanie ma wysokie walory ekologiczne i całkowite bezpieczeństwo pożarów

Increase of installed capacity from renewable sources in Poland in recent years mainly due to the wind turbines. Variability and unpredictability of the weather conditions at certain times of the year makes it difficult of balancing of wind energy. The paper was presented to the problem of security of electricity production from wind and the wind farm example of joint operation of the CHP units. The results of the calculations were based on real data.

Duchowość chrześcijańska przedstawia się tutaj jako cechująca się zrównoważonym i realistycznym podejściem do człowieka jako bytu potrzebującego zarówno ciszy i milczenia, jak też wymiany informacji. Następnie, opierając się w dużej mierze na nauczaniu papieża Benedykta XVI, zwrócono uwagę na potencjał oraz na potrzeby współczesnego społeczeństwa medialnego. W takim kontekście zostało z kolei zaprezentowane znaczenie milczenia i ciszy w przypadku mediów jako pozytywnie ważnego, nawet koniecznego elementu owocnego tworzenia ich oferty oraz korzystania z niej.
The article concerns the Christian experience of the meaning of quiet and silence. Christian spirituality is presented here as characterized by a balanced and realistic approach to man as a being in need of both quiet and silence, as well as the exchange of information. Then, based largely on the teaching of Pope Benedict XVI, the article focuses on the potential and needs of contemporary media society. Lastly, within such a context, the importance of silence and quiet in the case of the media - is presented as a positively important, even essential element of the fruitful creation of the media’s offerings, and subsequently, how it is used.

Ogromne koszty finansowania niemieckiej transformacji energetycznej “Energiewende” w 2020 r. przekroczyły nawet oczekiwania zwolenników energetyki wiatrowej i słonecznej, osiągając ponad 30 mld euro rocznie. Ale energetyka wiatrowa nie może zapewnić ciągłości zasilania elektrycznego. Wykresy w artykule pokazują okresy ciszy wiatrowej na lądzie i na morzu, sięgające 120 godzin w morskich farmach wiatrowych i 170 godzin w wiatrakach na lądzie. Dlatego Niemcy muszą uzupełniać produkcję energii elektrycznej, spalając węgiel brunatny i importowany gaz. Nie jest to droga do ochrony środowiska. Wiatraki mają negatywny wpływ na zdrowie ludzi i na środowisko, powodując setki tysięcy zgonów ptaków, nietoperzy i owadów. Strategię Energiewende ostro krytykują niemieccy eksperci energetyczni, zarówno z uczelni technicznych, jak i z przemysłu.
The extreme costs of German energy transition “Energiewende” in 2020 exceeded even the expectations of advocates of renewable energy sources and reached above 30 billion euro per year. However, the wind cannot assure continuity of electric power supply. The graphs in the paper show the periods of wind lulls on the land and on the sea reaching into 120 hours at offshore wind mills or 170 hours on land. Thus Germany has to provide electric energy by burning lignite and imported gas. This is no way for environment protection. The wind mills have a negative impact on human health and environment, causing hundreds of thousands kills of birds, bats and insects. The strategy of Energiewende is sharply criticised by German energy experts, both from technical universities and from the industry.

In this article the author presents the gentleness as one of the methods of evangelization which the Church carries out in the modern world. Gentleness, which today has been somewhat forgotten, can serve to the effectiveness of Christian witness. It is a virtue that stands out and exceeds the servant of Christ from people who do not know the truth of the Gospel. Its importance is emphasized by the authors of both old and new-testament. In the New Testament it is often linked to the ministry of preaching. Gentleness is a characteristic of God the Father and Jesus Christ and it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Its value in human relationships is inestimable. Evangelization taken by the Church should be gentle in its method. On the other hand, a gentle man evangelizes just by their way of life. Gentleness evangelizes and is a method of evangelization, which is accomplished not by words only, but by certain attitude, which becomes a much stronger testimony.

Krajobrazy dźwiękowe powinny być traktowane jako dziedzictwo niematerialne godne ochrony i przywracania. Szczególną wartość zyskuje cisza, dostarczając przeżyć estetycznych i uwrażliwiając na subtelne dźwięki. W artykule przedstawiono instrumenty ochrony ciszy oraz sposoby wykorzystania ciszy jako produktu turystycznego. Odwołano się także do wyników badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w 2010 roku wśród studentów UMCS. Wybór miejsc przyjaznych oraz nieprzyjaznych dźwiękowo a także dźwięków najbardziej charakterystycznych dla Lublina przeanalizowano pod kątem przekazu treści. Na koniec zaproponowano działania na rzecz ochrony krajobrazów dźwiękowych.
Soundscapes should be treated as intangible heritage deserving protection and renewal. Silence has a special value because it provides aesthetic experiences and makes sensitive to subtle sounds of nature. In the paper, the Author presents some instruments of protection of silence as well as methods of using the silence as a touristic product. Conclusions are based on results of the survey, carried out among students of UMCS in 2010. Firstly, amicable and unfriendly sounds places in Lublin were chosen. Then, sounds, that are the most characteristic for the town, were analysed in terms of their meaning. Finally, the Author proposes some activities for the benefit of protection of soundscapes.
