Protection of such defined landscape values may and should be subject to a complex conservation and protection of the natural and cultural environment.

This paper presents an attempt to applying neural networks for assessment of parameters of standard manoeuvrability tests, i.e. circulation test and zig-zag test. Methodological approach to application of neural networks as well as applied network structures and neuron activation functions are generally presented. Also, results of simulations performed by means of the elaborated networks are given in comparison with test cases selected at random. In order to analyze and reveal general trends, correlation relationships between results from network simulations and test cases were calculated and are presented as well.

Celem pracy jest charakterystyka termiczna zim z dodatnią temperaturą powietrza na obszarze Polski w najnowszej normie wskazywanej przez WMO do opracowań klimatycznych 1981-2010, na którą przypada okres wyraźnego wzrostu temperatury powietrza w skali globalnej i na obszarze Polski, ze wskazaniem konsekwencji jej zmian na walory rekreacyjno-turystyczne obszarów wiejskich. W opracowaniu wykorzystano średnie miesięczne wartości temperatury powietrza z 53 stacji meteorologicznych położonych na terenach nizinnych. Za okres zimowy przyjęto miesiące - XII, I, II. Wyróżniono 6 zim we wszystkich trzech miesiącach o temperaturze średniej obszarowej dodatniej. Były to zimy: 1987/1988, 1988/1989, 1989/1990, 1997/1998, 2006/2007 i 2007/2008. Przeciętna ciepła zima z dodatnią temperaturą we wszystkich miesiącach cechuje się południkowym przebiegiem izoterm stycznia o wartościach od 1 do 3ºC ze wschodu na zachód. W najcieplejszym styczniu 2007 roku przebiegały cztery takie izotermy w podobnym układzie o wartościach od 2 do 5ºC. Najważniejszym ujemnym skutkiem ocieplenia w okresie zimowym jest zmniejszenie się czasu trwania i grubości pokrywy śnieżnej.
In this article the authors present a thermal analysis of winter seasons with temperatures above 0ºC. This analysis was carried out in the period 1981-2010, which was marked by a clear temperature increase in Poland as well as worldwide. The analysis emphasizes the impact of temperature changes on recreational and tourist qualities of rural areas. The material used, featured mean monthly temperature values obtained from 53 weather stations situated in lowland areas. The winter season was defined as lasting from December to February. In all three months 6 different winters were distinguished which had temperatures above 0ºC in terms of mean area values (1987/1988, 1988/1989, 1989/1990, 1997/1998, 2006/2007 and 2007/2008). A typical warm winter with temperatures above 0°C in all three months, is characterized by a longitudinal course of January isotherms from east to west (1 to 3°C). During the warmest month, (Jan 2007) the isotherms had a similar pattern (2 to 5°C). The most important negative impact of global warming during winter is the decrease in the number of days with snow cover and the depth of snow cover. Adaptation approaches present a number of various suggestions and solutions in terms of the existing and forecasted climate changes during winter.

The purpose of this paper is to identify potential links between information about teachers and the academic achievement of schools. Data regarding teachers, collected by TALIS (Teaching and Learning International Survey), is analysed simultaneously with school examination scores. There are some general considerations and conclusions based mostly on the analysis of linear regression coefficients. As the presented relations apply to averaged school characteristics rather than individual characteristics of teachers or students, they should be interpreted with caution, mainly as statistical ones. ‘Teacher’ data from schools do not differ much and do not provide firm grounds for the identification of relations between them and the lower secondary school examination scores- which vary considerably. We should investigate the teacher and student level rather than use averaged school characteristics.

The article considers international trends and directions of inclusive growth which is considered as an inclusive economic growth and is measured by heterogeneous growth indicators, as an index of inclusive development. Considering the above, was analysed the existing state of the country's growth considering the environmental, economic, social and technological components as prerequisites for inclusive environmental management. Thus, the main focus of this article is on the formation of prerequisites for inclusive nature management in socio-economic and environmental practices and their subsequent methodological support. So segments of population prosperity means not just material consumption, but social vision formation and the institutional support creation for enables everyone to participate in the socio-economic achievements. The main gaps in the institutional support of the inclusive environmental management process are disclosed: in the social sphere: limited access to economically viable means that meet the real needs of the population in terms of health care, social assistance, basic education and awareness; in the ecological and economic sphere there is no effective and efficient management of providing the population with products that comply with the requirements of eco-certification and eco-labelling, which negatively affects the replenishment of the state budget and the promotion of the rational use of natural resources. Therefore, in order to create a favourable climate and institutional support of inclusive environmental management, in this article, will conduct a thorough analysis of the status of its components and assess the compliance of the existing conditions with current international requirements for inclusiveness. Inclusive growth requires environmental inclusion, which can be achieved through the introduction of new metrics and resource value indicators in regional development projects and programs. In doing so, measures should be developed and recommendations made to improve further planning and control.

The article presents the essence and importance of leadership, with particular reference to the specificity of military leadership. The purpose of the article is to indicate the validity of certain leadership qualities in the civil and military context, as well as the interaction between them. The research was carried out on civilian organization employees who were to assess the validity of selected leadership traits. The most important features and social competencies necessary for effective leadership and attitudes, described in the literature as worthy of imitation, are presented. The applied research methods (the analysis of literature and surveys in civilian organizations) allowed for indicating the distinguished leadership traits and some similarities between the characteristics of a military and civilian leader.

For the purpose of specifying the concept of the quality of preschool education, this publication presents part of the results of a wider study aimed at researching the notion of the “good/quality kindergarten teacher”. 72 students preparing to become preschool teachers in the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Bulgaria took part in this research. The main method used for research is analysis of the students’ individual written essays on the subject “My idea of a good/quality kindergarten teacher”. The collected essays were subjected to qualitative analysis aimed at the distribution of the contained opinions regarding the essence of the notion of “good/quality kindergarten teacher” into an unlimited number of semantic categories, provisionally divided into two main groups: 1) general personal qualities, skills, attitudes, etc.; and 2) specialized professional qualities, skills, attitudes, etc. This paper presents the distributions of 136 categories, defined following the analysis of the data. Since half of the participating students (36) were approached at the beginning of their university education and the other half (36) participated during the middle of their last year, the publication specifically marks some of the most important differences in the relevant viewpoints of first-year students in comparison to the opinion of graduating students.

This article aims to study experimentally the dynamic properties and traffic safety actions for gondola cars with bogies with diagonal links, operated on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main results obtained during tests of gondola cars on bogie with diagonal links when they move along straight and curved sections as well as on switches are presented. The estimation of: dynamics coefficients, stability margin coefficients against derailment, lateral forces transmitted from the wheel to the rail, ratio of frame forces to a static load from the wheelset on the rails, and accelerations are made. The paper analyses the simulation of a polymer layer of rubber vibration absorber, to be installed between the rubbing surfaces, such as the link side of frame axle unit, and host unit is open-bearing, with lateral support of the three-piece freight car bogies, operating on the territory of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The model developed in this article consists of a rheological model of a Maxwell cell, a Fancher spring and an element which has the function of non-linearity. The simulation model can be used to study the characteristics of vibration dampers, gaskets and other power elements that have polymer properties and are installed at other types of transport and not only.

W przedstawionej pracy autorzy podejmują się próby wskazania na cechy nauczyciela wychowania fizycznego, które są najbardziej pożądane z punktu widzenia uczniów i ich rodziców. W tym celu pracownicy Zakładu Psychologii Akademii Wychowania Fizycznego we Wrocławiu skonstruowali kwestionariusz ankiety zawierającą 15 takich cech. W badaniach wzięli udział uczniowie szkoły ponadgimnazjalnej z 4 klas pierwszych (84 uczniów wraz z równoliczną grupą swych rodziców). Dzięki jej analizie można wskazać na te z nich, które pojawiają się najczęściej. Autorzy poszukują też odpowiedzi na pytanie, które z zaproponowanych cech uznane zostaną za najważniejsze z punktu widzenia ucznia oraz rodzica. Poddano również analizie dokonywanie wyboru ze względu na płeć badanych osób. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wskazują na różnice pomiędzy wyborem uczniów, rodziców oraz ze względu na płeć dziecka oraz rodzica. Dla uczniów najważniejszą cechą nauczyciela jest sprawiedliwość – szczególnie dla chłopców, natomiast dla dziewcząt – tolerancyjność. Rodzice największą wagę przywiązują do odpowiedzialności, tolerancyjności oraz sprawiedliwości. W wyborach ojców przeważa dyscyplina a matek tolerancyjność.
In the said research work the authors attempt to indicate the most desirable qualities of a physical education teacher in terms of students’ and parents’ expectations. In order to do so, the lecturers of the Institute of Psychology at the University of Physical Education in Wrocław designed a questionnaire containing 15 such qualities. 84 students from the first grade of high school (along with one of their parents) participated in this research. Due to its analysis it is possible to indicate the most commonly selected ones. The authors are also trying to answer the question which of these qualities are considered to be the most important by students and parents. The choices were also analysed in relation to the respondents’ sex. The results indicate that there are differences between students’ and parents’ choices. For students, the most important trait of teacher’s character is being fair- this applies specifically to the boys, and when it comes to girls-tolerance. The parents pay the most attention to responsibility, tolerance and justice. Most times, fathers chose discipline, while mothers chose tolerance. The choices also vary depending on the student’s and parent’s sex.

In-flight tests and measurements are usually performed for newly built or modernised aircraft utilised by the Polish Armed Forces. In the course of the in-flight tests the airborne equipment is investigated also. The main goal of the performed tests is to verify the tactical performance and to identify the technical parameters of the investigated aircraft or equipment. New aeronautical designs are subjected to flight test prior to being introduced into production and service. It is why ITWL was involved in both functional tests of equipment /systems installed on-board of helicopters as well as tests intended to determine flying qualities and performance thereof. Numerous test flights have been carried out in conformance to the newly developed methodology that takes account of the Joint Airworthiness Requirements - JAR 29 - Large Rotorcraft. Helicopter flight data and control parameters have been recorded in the course of experimental test flights by means of the measuring and recording equipment. The post-flight analyses of the recorded data made it possible to assess longitudinal static stability and directional stability, manoeuvrability and agility as well as performances of the upgraded helicopter Mi-17-IV.

Contemporary cultural phenomenon and the type of their receipt uncover that applied up to now ideas are faulty. More and more we have to do witch texts that their receivers do not pay attention to signs and values but to sensual qualities. “Return to things” and “neomaterialism” are popular slogans in contemporary humanities but without conviction that it means necessity of resignation prevailing foundations (for ex. understanding or interpretation) and forces us to acceptation rather naturalistic ideas. Describe of enterprises which are popular on rural and in small towns in Poland shows us that this change is important and unavoidable.
