    The aim of the article is to present a base of Polish Publishers Open Access Policies as a tool supporting the scientific community in the implementation of openness policies. It is the first national platform to gather and analyze a publishing policy in the field of Open Access to Polish scientific journals. For scientists, it is a tool for searching for a Polish journal meeting certain criteria. It enables grant recipients to verify whether the journal meets the principles of Plan S. The database also provides information on the principles of using intellectual property.The functionalities of the database were analyzed based on NCN’s policy comparing them with the principles of publishing research results in Open Access. The specific criteria used in the Polish Publishers Open Access Policies database were compared with other databases: Arianta, SHERPA/RoMEO. The analysis shows that the Polish Publishers Open Access Policy is the only national database for Polish scientific journals, bringing together in one place information necessary for the scientific community on publication in Open Access. The database facilitates project preparation and implementation. Academic librarians, promoting the idea of Open Science, support the scientific community at each stage of the activity described, providing tools, knowledge base and competences.

    The aim of this article is to present the possible relationship between the level of financing of R+D, the R+D personnel rate (particularly in the higher education sector) and the presence of Polish academic research in the world demonstrated by prestigious publications indexed in the Web of Science (WoS). The research findings concern the analysis of changes in time and show a clear, strong and positive correlation between the level of financing of research and development activity and the number of publications listed in the WoS. The received result indicates with a wellfitting regression model that there is a direct relationship between the expenditure on research and the presence of Polish scholars in the international science.

    Основной темой статьи является влияние издательских произведений на рецепцию русской прозы «новых» лет в Польше. В какой степени и почему за это время изменилось отношение к этой литературе? Выбор первой декады века не случаен. По мнению различных специалистов (культурных, экономических, политических и др.), это была небольшая эпоха некоего мирного сосуществования России с внешним миром, своеобразная перезагрузка, обнуление, перерыв между политическими напряжениями, период выхода из изоляции и стремления в западный контекст. Однако интерес был взаимным. Многие страны, в том числе Польша, хотели познакомиться со сложной, многоукладной страной через литературу.
    In my article I will mainly focus on the influence of publishing policy on the reception of Russian prose of the 2000’s (проза “нулевых”) in Poland. How much, how and why did the reception of the literature change during that period? The choice of the first decade of the century is not accidental. According to various experts (cultural, economic, political, etc.), this was a small era of a kind of peaceful coexistence between Russia and the outside world, a kind of restart, zeroing, an interval of detente between political tensions, a period of emerging from Russia’s isolation and a desire to fit into the Western context. However, the interest was mutual. Many countries, including Poland, wanted through literature, which at that time was perceived as a “documentary”, to get acquainted with a complex multi-structured country again.
    Głównym tematem artykułu jest wpływ polityki wydawniczej na recepcję prozy rosyjskiej lat zerowych (проза „нулевых”) w Polsce. W jakim stopniu i dlaczego zmienił się odbiór tej literatury w tym okresie? Wybór pierwszej dekady stulecia nie jest przypadkowy. Według różnych ekspertów (kulturowych, ekonomicznych, politycznych itp.) była to mała epoka pewnego rodzaju pokojowego współistnienia Rosji ze światem zewnętrznym, rodzaj restartu, zerowania, przerwy między napięciami politycznymi, okres wychodzenia z rosyjskiej izolacji i chęci wpasowania się w kontekst zachodni. Jednak zainteresowanie było obustronne. Wiele krajów, m.in. Polska, chciało poprzez literaturę ponownie zapoznać się ze złożonym, wielostrukturowym krajem.

    Slovenská prekladová literatúra disponuje reprezentatívnym výberom z tvorby chorvátskych autorov literatúry pre deti a mládež počnúc od konca 19. storočia až po súčasnosť (I. Brlićová Mažuranićová, V. Nazor, M. Lovrak, I. Kušan, Lj. Bauer, J. Horvat, H. Hitrec, Đ. Zrakić, J. Cvenić, S. Tomaš, A. Gardaš, Z. Balog). Slovenské preklady diel uvedených autorov sa uverejňovali na Slovensku, ale aj vo Vojvodine, v Srbsku. K najvýznamnejším slovenským prekladateľom, ktorí sa venovali a venujú popri literatúre pre dospelého recipienta aj dielam určeným pre detského čitateľa, patria Zlatko Klátik, Juraj Tušiak, Andrej Vrbacký, Rudo Brtáň, Peter Čačko, Michal Nadubinský, Ján Jankovič a iní. Prekladatelia sa nechávali ovplyvňovať pri výbere chorvátskych autorov pre svoj preklad jednak domácou recepciou autora, ale aj vlastným záujmom o túto literatúru.
    Croatian literature translated into Slovak consists of a relevant selection of Croat authors for kids and youth dating from the 19th century to the present, such as I. Brlićová ‑Mažuranićová, V. Nazor, M. Lovrak, I. Kušan, Lj. Bauer, J. Horvat, H. Hitrec, Đ. Zrakić, J. Cvenić, S. Tomaš, A. Gardaš, Z. Balog. Slovak translations are published in Slovakia, but also in the Serbian Vojvo‑ dina. The most significant translators focusing on the translation of juvenile literature are Zlatko Klátik, Juraj Tušiak, Andrej Vrbacký, Rudo Brtáň, Peter Čačko, Michal Nadubinský, Ján Jankovič and others. Translators were influenced in their selection of Croatian authors by their reputation but also by the translators‘ personal interest in the literature.

    The aim of the article is to indicate the influence of human resource policy on the presence of Polish science in global science. Research findings include an analysis of changes over time in the number of research personnel and papers indexed in the Web of Science database. The research method used in the study is statistical analysis with the use of correlation analysis and regression analysis. Application of these tools allowed for establishing basic relationships between the analysed variables. Obtained results point to the fact that the human resource policy in Polish science, aimed at increasing the number of papers published at international level or in international circulation, turns out to be effective. This growth was especially visible in the years 1999–2011.
