    Opis:
    The article presents selected examples of the spatial deformation of iconic vistas in European cities, deformations which were caused by poorly planned development of tall buildings. Comments included summarise field studies of 2013-2016 under the research project of 2TaLL: Application of 3D Virtual City Models in Urban Analyses of Tall Buildings. Case studies are described and subject to a critical analysis. The article also presents digital techniques facilitating the process of tall building planning and examining their visual impact on their surroundings.
    Artykuł prezentuje wybrane przykłady deformacji przestrzennych kilku ikonicznych widoków z obszaru Europy, które powstały na skutek przypadkowych lokalizacji budynków wysokich. Obserwacje te są podsumowaniem badań terenowych prowadzonych w latach 2013-2016 w ramach projektu badawczego 2TaLL: Application of 3D Virtual City Models in Urban Analyses of Tall Buildings. Zarejestrowane przypadki deformacji zostały opisane i poddane krytycznej analizie. Przedstawione zostały również techniki cyfrowe pomocne w planowaniu zabudowy wysokiej i przewidywaniu jej wpływu wizualnego na otoczenie.

    Opis:
    The article summarizes the pilot research project and implementation works performed by the University of Agriculture in Krakow. This was as part of the project "Valorisation and sustainable development of cultural landscapes using innovative participation and visualization techniques - VITAL LANDSCAPES", implemented as a part of the CENTRAL EUROPE project. The work was conducted in Mściwojów, Lower Silesia, with a particular focus on the von Nostitz family property. The work covered creating a 3D visualization of the revitalization concept for the property, while adhering to the rule of developing local community participation and decision-makers participation. The developed concept was also subjected to an advanced evaluation of the effects of its implementation, which covered the area of the property with its new functions. It also covered the water reservoir and the agricultural lands of the village.

    Opis:
    The concept of order, including the spatial order, should be the basis for any actions concerning the development of the space surrounding us that this particular symmetry between nature and the human activity could be preserved and could mark the harmonious compatibility and the correct interdependence of components. While the cultural heritage as an important element of national heritage, is fairly well protected (durability of the legal solutions, the stabilized structures of public administration, social awareness) is the landscape, especially the rural landscape, it is not properly protected and treated with care, and one of the reasons for this is a crisis situation in terms of spatial planning. Institute of Landscape Architecture at the University of Environmental and Life Sciences (IAK) participates in activities in support of rural leaders since 2001, when it was initiated cooperation with the Office of the Marshal of the Opole Province. Since 2004, there were works began in the Lower Silesia region in cooperation first with municipalities and the local action groups, and afterwards in cooperation with the Marshal Office of Lower Silesia. The employees of IAK has begun since that time training for the rural leaders, moderators, and local authorities, realizing topics related to the cultural heritage and landscape conservation of the village. They were conducted in both provinces, as well as in Silesia, Lublin and Great Poland voivodeship.
