This paper describes the Phase II results of qualitative research involving design teams of primary school second-graders divided as follows: designers (D) – the creators of a solution; clients (C) and executors (E) – helping to improve the project. The study aimed to observe and describe what questions and feedback stimulated new idea generation to improve the initial solution, addressing the following research question: What does a constructive dialogue between peers look like when developing a group project? The adopted research approach was based on educational team design (the case study method). Based on observations and peer conversations, the authors determined the conditions that facilitated constructive dialogue, and those that hindered the accomplishment of the group work in question.

New technological solutions require an organization to adapt constantly to changes in a dynamic environment. More and more enterprises implement Business Process Management, both at the strategic and operational levels, taking into account the project perspective based on knowledge resources. The aim of the article is to show the usefulness of building links between processes and projects based on knowledge resources in dynamic changeable technological circumstances based on research conducted in Poland. The approach guides Business Process Management activities by supporting organizations in identifying opportunities from business and technology trends and integrating them into business processes with novel value propositions.

This study aims to describe the conceptual model of digital-based living values activities project learning, students’ perceptions of implementing this model, and the reinforcement of students’ Pancasila character. The research utilised a mixed methods approach on students and teachers at junior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The findings reveal that the digital-based living values activities project learning model integrates project-based learning, living values education and digital learning. Students perceived the implementation of this model quite positively, and the reinforcement of students’ Pancasila character was categorised as good. This model can be used to strengthen students’ character.

Opis:
Improving the educational process through evaluation requires adopting new concepts and approaches. In addition to the traditional methodologies applied in this field, such as observation or surveys, business methods are increasingly being implemented, including the Deming cycle or selected elements of project management methodologies. Their application allows for a holistic and unbiased view of the quality of teaching and learning. This article aims to illustrate and evaluate the usefulness of project management methodologies in identifying Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and risks in creating and evaluating academic courses. The subject of the research was the course “Creativity and Decision-making”, and the main method of the research, which was conducted in four cycles from 2020 to 2023, was the Deming cycle (PDCA). Data collection was based on data triangulation, including unstructured interviews with students and experts, as well as participant observation. Content analysis with a categorisation key was used to analyse the data, with the results presenting lists of extracted critical success and risk factors determining the quality of the course. The implemented procedure represents an innovative approach to the evaluation of academic courses, at the core of which is the creation and updating of two substantively opposing lists: the determinants of learning successes and failures constituting of a map of strategic control points, and a basis for the improvement of the educational process.

Jak brzmi lato? to podsumowanie projektu wzmacniającego kompetencje międzykulturowe dzięki samodzielnej pracy z tekstami kultury popularnej. Przebieg projektu można określić następująco: faza wstępna – próba analizy i interpretacji tekstów literackich i fragmentów polskich piosenek, faza właściwa (autonomiczna) – od poszukiwania polskich utworów o wskazanych kryteriach i dobierania na podstawie własnych skojarzeń podobnych tekstów chińskiej kultury popularnej, po realizację zadań translatorskich – przekład chińskich tekstów na język polski. Ważną częścią projektu była współpraca z rówieśnikami, tzw. student buddies na etapie selekcji utworów. Dzięki realizacji niniejszego projektu studenci mogli rozwijać kompetencje w zakresie pisania, interpretowania tekstów kultury popularnej oraz porównywania kultur. Prześledzenie działań krok po kroku ma służyć krytycznej autorefleksji co do efektywności tego typu działania i wyciągnięciu wniosków na przyszłość, umożliwiających wprowadzenie usprawnień.
What does summer sound like? is a summary of the project strengthening intercultural competence through independent work with texts of popular culture. The course of the project can be described as follows: the initial phase – an attempt to analyze and interpret literary texts and fragments of Polish songs, the proper (autonomous) phase – from searching for Polish songs with the indicated criteria and selecting, based on their own associations, similar texts of Chinese popular culture, to the implementation of translation tasks – translating Chinese texts into Polish. An important part of the project was cooperation with peers, the so-called student buddies at the stage of song selection. Through the implementation of this project, students were expected to develop competence in writing, interpreting texts of popular culture and in comparing cultures. Tracing the activities comprising the project step by step is intended to be a critical self-reflection on the effectiveness of this type of operation and to draw conclusions for the future, enabling improvements to be made.

Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań jakościowych i wskazanych implikacji do dalszych prac w zakresie opracowania założeń innowacji odpowiadającej na zidentyfikowane luki autorzy opracowali model zawierający metody planowania i zarządzania przedsięwzięciami studenckimi, bazujący na powszechnie uznanych standardach zarządzania projektami.
The article is a continuation of considerations on the issue of the project approach in the educational process and student activities at universities in Poland. An attempt was made to identify and analyze solutions that support initiating, organizing, and presenting the results of discussions on undertaken projects in the academic environment. Based on the qualitative research conducted and the indicated implications for further work in the development of assumptions for innovation responding to the identified gaps, the authors developed a model containing methods for planning and managing student projects, based on generally recognized project management standards.

Artykuł prezentuje projekt dydaktyczny, realizowany zgodnie z ideą podejścia ukierunkowanego na działanie, jakim było wystawienie przez studentów ukraińskich zaadaptowanej sztuki Łesi Ukrainki pt. Pieśń lasu. Opisano zarówno przyczyny, cele i poszczególne fazy projektu, jak i proces jego ewaluacji. Za pomocą ankiety przebadano opinie uczestników działania (studentów kierunku studia polskie z językiem angielskim, polskich studentów i wykładowców) na temat korzyści, jakie im przyniósł. Na podstawie zgromadzonych danych wykazano pozytywne wpływy tego wydarzenia na rozwój natury poznawczej, międzykulturowej, intelektualnej, społecznej i emocjonalnej zaangażowanych uczestników, a także jego promocyjny charakter.
The article presents a didactic project implemented in accordance with the idea of an action-oriented approach, which was the staging by Ukrainian students of an adapted play by Lesia Ukrainka entitled The Forest Song. The reasons, goals and individual phases of the project, as well as the process of its evaluation, were described. A survey was used to examine the opinions of the participants of the activity (Ukrainian students, Polish students and lecturers) about the benefits it brought to them. Based on the collected data, the positive impact of this event on the development of the cognitive, intercultural, intellectual, social and emotional nature of the participants involved, as well as its promotional nature, was demonstrated.

Dieser Beitrag schildert das Konzept eines von der Arbeitsgruppe „Młodzi Frazeolodzy“ (Junge Phraseologen) durchgeführten Forschungsprojekts. Im Rahmen des Projekts sollte ein handliches Lexikon erstellt werden, das die von der akademischen Gemeinschaft der Adam-Mickiewicz-Universität in Poznań am häufigsten verwendeten polnischen Idiome in der informellen Sprache enthält. Bei den in der Sammlung erfassten Einträgen handelt es sich um Einheiten, die den meisten MitgliederInnen der Studentengemeinschaft bekannt sind. Die Stichwörter wurden mit Definition des Phraseologismus, möglichen Varianten, Stilmarker, Etymologie bzw. Motivation, Anwendungsbeispielen, phonetischer Transkription, Abbildungen und Äquivalenten in Englisch, Deutsch, Ukrainisch und Russisch versehen. Der Zugang zum solchen Lexikon kann verschiedene Gruppen von Menschen unterstützen, die aus bestimmten Gründen nach Polen gekommen sind, um sich z. B. weiterzubilden. Das Lexikon kann auch den Menschen dienen, die ihre Sprachkenntnisse verbessern oder sich in den Bereich der metaphorischen Sprache vertiefen wollen. Der Beitrag beschreibt die vorgenommenen Forschungsschritte und die bevorzugte Methodologie. Die Merkmale der von uns beschriebenen Einheiten – Phraseologismen – werden ebenfalls erwähnt. Darüber hinaus werden konkrete Beispiele für Wörterbucheinträge aufgeführt, die von Grafiken ergänzt werden. Zur Veranschaulichung der in der Untersuchung gesammelten Daten werden in dem Artikel auch statistische Angaben vorgelegt.
This article describes the concept of a research project carried out by the “Młodzi Frazeolodzy” (Young Phraseologists) working group. The project aimed to create a handy lexicon containing the idioms most frequently used in informal speech by the academic community at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The entries included in the collection represent units that are familiar to most members of the academic community. The keywords were provided with a definition of the idiom, possible variants, a style marker, an etymology or motivation, examples of use, a phonetic transcription, illustrations and equivalents in English, German, Ukrainian and Russian. Access to such a lexicon can support different groups of people who have come to Poland for specific reasons, e.g., to educate themselves. The lexicon can also serve people who want to improve their language skills or delve into the field of metaphorical language. The paper describes the research steps undertaken and the preferred methodology. The characteristics of the units we describe – idioms – are also mentioned. In addition, specific examples of dictionary entries are given, which are complemented by graphics. To illustrate the information collected during the research, statistical data are also provided.

Projekty realizowane przez publiczne instytucje kultury to najczęściej wydarzenia, których celem jest edukacja kulturowa odbiorców. Charakteryzują się one określonym terminem i budżetem oraz udziałem artystów i partnerów. Dlatego wymagają zastosowania adekwatnych metod zarządzania, w tym zarządzania ryzykiem, jako jednego z czynników ich pomyślnej realizacji. Analiza literatury pokazuje, że istnieje niewiele badań na ten temat. Dopasowana do projektów kulturalnych metoda zarządzania ryzykiem z wykorzystaniem podejścia scrum była przedmiotem badań jednej z autorek tekstu. Polegały one na wdrożeniu autorskiego modelu zarządzania w pięciu instytucjach kultury, a następnie zastosowaniu go w wybranych projektach. Podczas realizacji projektów członkowie zespołów identyfikowali ryzyka związane z zadaniami w tych projektach. Na podstawie wyników badań, najnowszej literatury dotyczącej zarządzania ryzykiem oraz dokumentów wewnętrznych autorki opracowały zarówno adekwatną dla instytucji kultury strukturę rejestru ryzyka, opartą na metodzie ATOM, jak i uniwersalną listę ryzyk towarzyszących projektom kulturalnym.
Projects conducted by public cultural institutions are mostly events whose aim is cultural education of their recipients. The characteristic features of such projects include defined date and budget, participation of artists and partners. Thus, they require adequate management methods, among others, risk management as one of the factors contributing to project success. The subject literature shows that there is little research in this area. One of the authors of this article conducted a study whose subject was the risk management method using Scrum, tailor-made to cultural projects. The original method was implemented in five cultural institutions and later applied in selected projects. While executing the projects, project team members identified risk connected with the project tasks. Analysing the study results, the latest literature on risk management as well as internal documents, the authors proposed, on the one hand, a risk register adequate to cultural institutions and based on the ATOM methodology, and on the other hand, a universal risk list for cultural projects.

Cel artykułu. Nastąpił wzrost liczby transakcji finansowych za pośrednictwem dokumentów finansowych z międzynarodowymi elementami. W szczególności artykuł odnosi się do umów kredytowych sporządzonych zgodnie ze standardami LMA, podlegających angielskiemu prawu, oraz do potencjalnych dostawców zabezpieczeń kredytowych działających w wielu jurysdykcjach, np. "spółek zależnych" pełniących rolę poręczycieli lub dodatkowych dłużników, a czasem także kredytobiorców. Wielość jurysdykcji stawia przed doradcami kredytowymi oraz głównym dłużnikiem wyzwanie dotyczące wyboru instrumentów zabezpieczenia w każdej jurysdykcji, w zależności od lokalizacji przedmiotu zabezpieczenia. Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie przeglądu najczęściej stosowanych rodzajów zabezpieczeń w polskim prawie, służących zabezpieczeniu umów kredytowych w jurysdykcjach innych niż polska. Autor dokonał również oceny, która może być pomocna dla praktyków spoza Polski w doborze odpowiedniego zabezpieczenia dla długu. Głównym celem jest zapoznanie osób nieobeznanych z polskim prawem ze standardami prawa polskiego dotyczącego zabezpieczeń kredytowych, a główna hipoteza zakłada, że polskie zabezpieczenia zapewniają pewność instytucjom zagranicznym udzielającym kredytów, w których uczestniczy polski podmiot jako dostawca zabezpieczenia. Metoda badawcza. Artykuł stanowi kompleksową recenzję literatury dotyczącej polskiego zabezpieczenia prawnego dla należności z umów kredytowych udzielonych na mocy prawa obcego (włączając w to akty prawne). Zastosowane metody obejmują metodę hermeneutyczną, metodę porównawczą oraz metodę analizy i syntezy. Wyniki badań. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że polskie dokumenty zabezpieczenia są wystarczające do zabezpieczenia należności wynikających z umów kredytowych regulowanych przez prawo obce. Główna hipoteza wydaje się, że została udowodniona. Ponadto na podstawie badań udowodniono, że polskie dokumenty zabezpieczenia, ze względu na ich znaczenie prawne, powinny stanowić zachętę dla zagranicznych instytucji finansowych do działania na terenie Polski. Wnioskiem jest, że polskie prawo zabezpieczeń jest bogate w narzędzia pozwalające na pewność obrotu międzynarodowego instytucji.
The purpose of the article. As noted recently, an increased number of financing transactions through financing documents with international elements has been reported. We are referring in particular to facility agreements prepared under the LMA standard governed by the English law and the objects of potential providers of facility security located in multiple jurisdictions, e.g., 'subsidiaries' acting as guarantors or additional debtors, but sometimes also as borrowers. The multiplicity of jurisdictions poses a challenge to the lender's advisers, but also to the principal borrower, as to which security instruments to use in each jurisdiction depending on where the security interest is located. This article aims to provide an overview of the most commonly used types of security under the Polish law to secure loan agreements in jurisdictions other than the Polish one. In addition, the author has made an assessment that may be helpful to non-Polish practitioners in selecting the appropriate security for a debt. The main objective was to acquaint those unfamiliar ones with the Polish law with the standards of the Polish debt security law. The main hypothesis is that the Polish security provides certainty to foreign institutions granting facilities where a Polish entity is involved as a security provider. Methodology. The article provides a comprehensive review of the literature on Polish legal security for facility receivables granted under a foreign law (including legal acts). The applied methods include the hermeneutic method, the comparative method and the method of analysis and synthesis. Results of the research. On the basis of the conducted research it was found that Polish collateral documents are sufficient to secure receivables arising from facilities governed by a foreign law. The main hypothesis appears to have been proven. In addition, on the basis of the research it was proved that Polish security documents, due to their legal significance, should constitute an incentive for foreign financial institutions to take up in Poland. The conclusion is that the Polish security law is wealthy in terms of instruments allowing for certainty of trading between international institutions.

The topic literature of the success in research and R&D projects, their success factors, or success criteria is not very extensive. Although a few items on this topic can be found, they often do not distinguish between types of projects in the research area between research projects and R&D projects. The aim of the paper is to present the success factors and success criteria of research and R&D projects and their importance for these types of projects. In order to achieve the aim of the study, the following research methods were used: a literature review and a survey analysis using correlations. The research was conducted on a sample of 200 organizations in Poland that run research and R&D projects. Based on the conducted quantitative research, the importance of individual success factors and success criteria of research projects and R&D projects was determined. The research results show that the importance of success factors and criteria for research and R&D projects varies.

The problem of the study is to substantiate the content of the implementation of the case method of teaching. The article outlines the content of the case method of future bachelor training based on qualitative research. In the example of the academic subject “Cross-cultural studies and projects”, the main steps of developing cross-cultural student projects are traced. The main requirements for creating cross-cultural projects within the distance form of education are defined. The significant result of the study is that the use of teaching methods opens opportunities for students to master the content of professional training.

The objective of this study is to explore how stakeholder communication was carried out during realization of one of the most important cultural heritage projects in Europe: “Comprehensive research and conservation work on the altar of Wit Stwosz, 1489,” carried out in St Mary’s Basilica in Kraków. The church, located in the Historic Centre of Kraków, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the funding of the parish in the years 2022–2026, was introduced on the first List of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1978. The project reported in this paper started in October 2015 and was completed in February 2021, but it was launched in 2011–2012 with the establishment of the committee to evaluate the state of the altar, and the complete inventory in 2013 using 3D laser scanning. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in conservation activities from March till June 2020, the project was completed on time and with the scope scheduled. The research demonstrated that one of the key success factors was a properly designed and implemented communication strategy, addressing information needs of all the relevant stakeholders. Besides, the success resulted from the proper engagement and shared responsibility of internal stakeholders in communication processes with key external actors.
Celem artykułu jest analiza przebiegu komunikacji z interesariuszami podczas trwania jednego z najważniejszych projektów dziedzictwa kulturowego w Europie: „Kompleksowe prace badawcze i konserwatorskie ołtarza Wita Stwosza, 1489” realizowanego w bazylice Mariackiej w Krakowie. Znajdujący się w historycznym centrum Krakowa kościół, obchodzący w latach 2022– 2026 jubileusz 800-lecia powstania parafii, został wpisany na pierwszą listę światowego dziedzictwa kulturowego i przyrodniczego UNESCO w 1978 r. Opisywany projekt był realizowany od października 2015 do lutego 2021, choć rozpoczęto go w latach 2011–2012 wraz z powołaniem komisji do oceny stanu ołtarza oraz jego pełną inwentaryzacją w 2013 r. za pomocą skaningu laserowego 3D. Pomimo przerwy spowodowanej pandemią COVID-19 w działaniach konserwatorskich od marca do czerwca 2020 r. projekt został zrealizowany terminowo i zgodnie z założonym zakresem. Badania wykazały, że jednym z głównych czynników sukcesu była odpowiednio zaprojektowana i wdrożona komunikacja, odpowiadająca potrzebom informacyjnym wszystkich najważniejszych interesariuszy przedmiotowego projektu. Ponadto, sukces wynikał także z właściwego zaangażowania i podziału odpowiedzialności interesariuszy wewnętrznych w procesy komunikacji z kluczowymi interesariuszami zewnętrznymi.

The purpose of this article is to present the workflow of the group translation of the Spanish play “Siglo mío, bestia mía” performed by a Student Organisation of Literary Translation based in the Institute of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw, as well as the educational outcomes of the endeavour. Moreover, the paper aims at highlighting the need of including group projects, which would simulate the environment of a translation office, in the curriculums of translation training university courses. The paper discusses the definitions of a project and the most common approaches to teaching translation. Later, it combines those two aspects and determines the importance of project-based learning in the field of translation, which is shown by the example of the translation of “Siglo mío, bestia mía”. The article introduces the author of the play and presents a brief summary of the text. Afterwards, the workflow of the group is presented in detail, explaining the roles of particular participants, the challenges they faced, and the outcomes of such a form of translation. In the conclusion, the article emphasises the necessity of including project-based translation activities in the curriculums of translation training university courses.
In diesem Artikel werden der Verlauf der Gruppenübersetzung des spanischen Theaterstücks „Siglo mío, bestia mía“, die von einer studentischen Organisation für literarische Übersetzung am Institut für Angewandte Linguistik der Universität Warschau durchgeführt wurde, sowie die pädagogischen Ergebnisse des Projekts dargestellt. Darüber hinaus soll der Artikel die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Notwendigkeit lenken, Gruppenprojekte, die das Umfeld eines Übersetzungsbüros simulieren, in universitäre Übersetzungsstudiengänge aufzunehmen. In dem Artikel werden die Definitionen eines Projekts und die gängigsten Ansätze für den Übersetzungsunterricht erörtert. Anschließend werden diese beiden Aspekte miteinander verknüpft und die Bedeutung des projektbasierten Lernens im Bereich der Übersetzung am Beispiel der Übersetzung von „Siglo mío, bestia mía“ aufgezeigt. Hier wird der Autor des Stücks vorgestellt und eine kurze Zusammenfassung des Textes gegeben. Anschließend wird der Arbeitsablauf der Gruppe detailliert dargestellt, wobei die Rollen der einzelnen Teilnehmer, die Herausforderungen, mit denen sie konfrontiert waren, und die Auswirkungen einer solchen Form der Übersetzung erläutert werden. In der Schlussfolgerung betont der Artikel die Notwendigkeit, projektbasierte Übersetzungsaktivitäten in die Lehrpläne von Übersetzungsstudiengängen aufzunehmen.

The article presents a concept of research and its social application concerning the creation and modelling of theologically inspired and supported patriotic attitudes in the Polish historical and security-related context. It concerns patriotism which, primarily, refers to Poland’s national heritage, theology, Catholic social science and national responsibility; secondly, it is directed at a sovereign economic development locally and on the international arena; thirdly, it shapes pro-societal and pro-defence attitudes; fourthly, it takes into account contemporary challenges linked with the environment, demography, migrations and “temporal challenges”. The text is classified among the papers on conceptualization of research projects in the area of security studies, social policies and political science, account being taken of the contexts and problem references to theology, history and cultural anthropology.
