Opis:
Fundamentem pracy zawodowej pielęgniarek powinny być ich postawy etyczne. Osoby wybierające ten wyjątkowy zawód powinny kierować się przemyślaną, głęboką, wewnętrzną motywacją. Postawy pielęgniarek, ich stosunek do ludzi chorych, cierpiących, umierających są odzwierciedleniem poziomu kultury nie tylko tej grupy zawodowej, ale całego społeczeństwa. Zawód pielęgniarki to, obok kompetencji medycznej, również praca polegająca na okazywaniu miłości i empatii drugiemu człowiekowi. Wartości moralne zawodu pielęgniarskiego są przedmiotem zainteresowania etyki i teorii pielęgniarstwa. Zasady moralne w pracy z chorymi odgrywają bardzo ważną rolę zarówno przy podejmowaniu decyzji, jak i w ocenie poprawności etycznej działań.
The foundation of professional work of nurses should be their ethical attitudes. People choosing this unique profession should be guided by thoughtful, deep, internal motivation.The attitudes of nurses, their attitude towards sick, suffering and dying people reflect the culture level not only of this professional group but of the whole society. In addition to medical competence, the profession of a nurse is also a job of showing love and empathy to other people. The moral values of the nursing profession are of interest to the ethics and theory of nursing. Moral principles in working with patients play a very important role both in making decisions and in assessing the ethical correctness of actions.

Głównym celem niniejszego opracowania jest ukazanie zmian, które zaszły pod koniec XX w. w myśleniu o odpowiedzialności zawodowej. Obecnie przede wszystkim pod wpływem nauk społecznych, podkreśla się znaczenie podejść systemowych, np. budowanie tzw. infrastruktury etycznej. Wzrosło również zapotrzebowanie, jak się wydaje, na podkreślanie roli odpowiedzialności społecznej, jawności i przejrzystości w życiu publicznym. Autor argumentuje, iż współczesne myślenie o odpowiedzialności cechuje swoiste przejście od odpowiedzialności indywidualnej, wewnętrznej i negatywnej do odpowiedzialności społecznej i pozytywnej. Całość rozważań została przeprowadzona na trzech głównych płaszczyznach: 1) filozoficznej, 2) socjologicznej i 3) nauk prawnych.
The main aim of this paper is to emphasize the changes that took place in late 20th century in the thinking about professional responsibility. Today, mainly under the influence of social sciences, the importance of systemic approaches, such as building the so-called ethical infrastructure, is emphasized. This phenomenon should be seen in the perspective of the growing importance of social responsibility, openness, and transparency in public life. The author argues that in the thinking about professional responsibility there has been a shift from individual, internal, and negative responsibility towards social responsibility, usually expressed in the form of ethical infrastructure. The whole discussion is conducted on three planes: 1) the philosophical one, 2) the sociological one, and 3) that of legal sciences.

Psycho-social educator profession belongs to the specific professions with special needs from the staffs in this job. This article presents specific of the psycho-social educator profession in the context of specifics professional needs and professional responsibility. Analysis presented in this article is addressed to the staffs of psycho-social rehabilitation units for juveniles in Poland, as well as to students of psycho-social rehabilitation pedagogy. Knowledge about professional responsibility it seems to be necessary for full professional skills of psycho-social rehabilitation educator in contest with responsibility in their daily work.

Opis:
The Act on chambers of physicians provides for the possibility of referring parties to mediation proceedings, the purpose of which is, among others, to alleviate the conflict between the aggrieved patient and the accused doctor. Depending on the stage of a given case, mediation is directed by the spokesperson for professional liability – in the course of an investigation, or medical court – during the proceedings before a medical court. A mediator may only be a doctor appointed from a given chamber as a trustworthy person, which may raise doubts as to his impartiality and neutrality towards the case and parties to the proceedings.
Ustawa o izbach lekarskich przewiduje możliwość skierowania stron do postępowania mediacyjnego, czego celem jest m.in. załagodzenie konfliktu pomiędzy pokrzywdzonym pacjentem a obwinionym lekarzem. W zależności od etapu danej sprawy do mediacji kieruje rzecznik odpowiedzialności zawodowej – w toku postępowania wyjaśniającego, albo sąd lekarski – w toku postępowania przed sądem lekarskim. Mediatorem może być tylko lekarz wyznaczony z danej izby jako osoba godna zaufania, co może rodzić wątpliwości w zakresie jego bezstronności oraz neutralności wobec sprawy i stron postępowania.

Działać odpowiedzialnie w pracy wychowawczej to mieć świadomość własnych obowiązków i sposobów ich realizacji oraz liczyć się ze skutkami własnego postępowania pedagogicznego. Celem prowadzonych badań uczyniono diagnozę poczucia odpowiedzialności pedagogów szkolnych, które będzie się wyrażać stanem w ich świadomości (rozumieniem odpowiedzialności, identyfikacją jej źródeł, znaczeniem, jakie ma ona w ich życiu, stopniem zinternalizowania cech odpowiedzialnego pedagoga), a także gotowością ponoszenia odpowiedzialności za różne aspekty pracy opiekuńczo-wychowawczej z młodzieżą szkolną. Badaniami prowadzonymi metodą sondażu diagnostycznego objęto 294 pedagogów szkolnych. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na właściwie ukształtowane poczucie ich odpowiedzialności zawodowej.
Responsible acting in the educational work means being aware of your own duties and methods of their implementation and taking into account consequences of your own pedagogical behaviour. The purpose of the research was to diagnose the sense of responsibility of school teachers, which will be expressed by the state of their consciousness (understanding of responsibility, identification of its sources, the importance it has in their lives, the degree of internalization of characteristics of a responsible teacher), as well as readiness to assume responsibility for various aspects of care and educational work with school youth. The research carried out with a diagnostic survey method covered 294 school teachers. The results obtained indicate a properly formed sense of professional responsibility.

W pracy odniesiono się do zapisów Ustawy z dnia 12 września 2002 r. o normalizacji ustawy z dnia 7 lipca 1994 r. – Prawo budowlane oraz Rozporządzenia Ministra Infrastruktury z dnia 12 kwietnia 2002 r. w sprawie warunków technicznych, jakim powinny odpowiadać budynki i ich usytuowanie w kontekście braku obligatoryjności stosowania norm przy projektowaniu obiektów budowlanych. Środowisko projektantów od lat boryka się z rozterkami, które normy stosować, eurokody czy PN oraz czy można wybierać grupy norm w zależności od tego, co jest korzystniejsze z punktu widzenia projektanta lub inwestora.
The paper refers to the provisions of the Act of 12 September 2002 on Standardization, the Act of 7 July 1994 on Construction Law and the Ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure of 12 April 2002 on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location in the context of the absence of mandatory standards for the design of buildings. The designers’ environment has for years struggled with dilemmas which standards to apply: European or Polish, or whether there is an option to select a group of norms depending on their greater favourability to designers or investors.

The main goal of this article is to present the contemporary designer’s profession in the scope of its personal definition of ethic and social responsibility. When conflicts of interests arise for the professional, s/he should be aided in their resolution by a long-standing body of knowledge called ethics. Ethics provides an array of concepts, vocabulary, and strategies to aid in both the understanding and the resolution of such challenges. Central here are two concepts, viz. responsibility and conflict of interest. Responsibility emerges incrementally from a person’s knowledge, freedom, and deliberation. Conflicts of interest are either simple or complex: simple, when a principle conflicts with human wants; complex, when two or more principles are mutually inconsistent. An analysis of these two concepts leads us to the claim that a professional, to remain such, even while embracing an ever-expanding burden of responsibility, needs a conceptual framework for resolving conflicts of interest.

Poland's regaining independence was connected, among other things, with the organizational arrangement of many services, including the current Police force. On the basis of their hierarchical subordination, the structure, rules of operation, consequently the duties and rights of their members - officers, but also employees who were not officers, called "civil servants", were created. These rights also included the right to promotion, which in the hierarchical system of subordination determines the position of a given officer. The promotion in terms of the position or rank is an expression not only of the culture of a given organisation, but first of all it poses new challenges and duties to the officer - the honour and privilege of managing the force, an organisational unit, an organisational department or finally, and by many put on the first place (the author fully supports this issue) - the possibility of managing people belonging to a given organisational structure. It is an honour and privilege that only a few can have. By the time this happens, however, they have to meet certain formal requirements, which have evolved dramatically over the last century. The aim of this study (which in the future will be the beginning of a comprehensive approach) is to indicate the outline of the requirements in principle, on the basis of the original legal acts concerning the pragmatics of police officers, legally binding in the last century. The author is fully aware of the fact that the quoted legal acts were subject to amendments and he points out the most important ones in his opinion.

The Police officer stay in employment relationship of special character, defined as service relationship. Typical for this profession is high risk level. In this case appears the problem of Police officer's liability during performing the service duties. According to current law regulations exist three types of Police officer's liability related to performing the service duties such as criminal liability, disciplinary liability and civil liability. Beyond this liabilities the Police officer could be suspension in performing the service duties. All this types of responsibility brings a lot of economic consequences not only for Police unit or state budget, but mainly for Police officer. It justify the necessity of perform an deeper analysis of this problem.

Opis:
This paper reports on the benefits and challenges of integrating service-learning pedagogy into a professional course taught at a US Midwestern university. Data were collected via observations, interviews and analyses of students’ online discussions, written reflections, and project work. Findings revealed that the service-learning approach improves academic learning, increases motivation to learn and serve, escalates civic values and develops a sense of concern over broader social issues. Most importantly, it prepares students to be civic-minded professionals who are concerned with the betterment of society. Additionally, the authentic and open nature of service-learning was found to contribute to intense group conflicts. Suggestions to eliminate such challenges are also discussed.

Przedmiotem opracowania jest przedstawienie genezy i rozwoju uregulowań prawnych, kreujących odrębną od odpowiedzialności dyscyplinarnej za naruszenie obowiązków służbowych tzw. odpowiedzialność honorową. Obejmowała ona niewłaściwe zachowania żołnierzy i funkcjonariuszy służb mundurowych zarówno w trakcie wykonywania obowiązków służbowych, jak i poza nimi, zaś u podstaw takiego unormowania legło dążenie ustawodawcy do ochrony dóbr osobistych zarówno sił zbrojnych, jak i poszczególnych służb mundurowych. Analiza stosownych uregulowań pragmatycznych dowiodła, że ten szczególny rodzaj odpowiedzialności ponosili początkowo tylko oficerowie sił zbrojnych i służb mundurowych i dopiero pod koniec lat 50. ustawodawca rozciągnął ją na wszystkich żołnierzy i funkcjonariuszy, aby z kolei po upływie około półwiecza całkowicie odwrócić tę tendencję przez objęcie tych zachowań klasyczną odpowiedzialnością dyscyplinarną.
The subject of the study is to present the genesis and development of legal regulations, which create the so-called honorary responsibility. It included improper behavior of soldiers and officers of uniformed services both during and outside the performance of official duties, and the basis for such regulation was the legislator’s desire to protect the personal goods of the armed forces, both the armed forces and individual uniformed services. The analysis of the relevant pragmatic regulations proved that this particular type of responsibility was initially borne only by the officers of the armed forces and uniformed services, and only at the end of the 1950 -s the legislator extended it to all soldiers and officers, in order to completely reverse this tendency after about half a century by taking over of these behaviors with classic disciplinary responsibility

The popularisation of drawing up codes that are addressed to various social groups is one of the features of the modern world. However, researchers of the phenomenon have not yet reached a consensus about the moral validity and utility of this activity. The article thoroughly reviews the Polish literature on the subject with regard to the reasons for taking a moderate stance on the codification of ethical standards. The essay describes the main concepts of ethical codes as well as arguments for their approval and rejection. Attention is drawn to the ways of improving the effectiveness of codes and to the ethical decision-making procedure that reconciles the positions of the supporters and opponents of codification.
