Opis:
A common assumption in product value literature is that authenticity is what contemporary consumers value the most. However, as this paper illustrates, the meaning of authenticity is unclear and the term appears foreign to product development practitioners. The purpose of this paper is to explore in what ways product development professionals talk about product value in general and how this relates to authenticity. The analysis of the interviews reveals that product developers must embrace authenticity as a holistic framework if the phenomenon is to be constructive for companies within the product development industry. In line with the concept of authenticity as a multi-dimensional framework, this paper suggests that authenticity does not solely result from certain intrinsic tangible or intangible product characteristics, and that commercially strong products and brands do not automatically become ‘authentic’. The contribution of this paper to the product development field is a framework for a multi-dimensional construct of authenticity, and an account for what representatives within selected companies talk about when asked about how they create consumer value, and how they contribute to valuable consumer experiences. The findings are analysed and discussed in the context of literature from product development, brand management and marketing management.

A basic need of every responsible man is to provide for own housing with the continual increase of world population energy consumption is growing continually as well and in parallel there is an increase in CO2 emissions. Buildings during their lifetime use approximately 40% of energy, while its operation concerning heating and cooling counts for 60-70% of this consumed energy. The most suitable solution means building houses with low energy demands which do not harm the environment Therefore the preferred solution has become to build houses with low-energy houses not burdening the environment. The aim of this chapter is to present the basic aspects and advantages of wood buildings as well as their requirements for the internal layout from the point of ergonomics changes. We can state that based on findings and research, that the current generation of people has significantly higher height and weight proportions. Based on linear regression equations we define the magnitude of secular changes for men and women. The change represents a 1.55 mm body height increase for men and 0.5 mm for women per year.

Local companies from different areas that are successful on social networks were chosen for the survey. The aim of the article is to identify the company's corporate values and their impact on the results of marketing communication as well as to find the attributes that are used in such successful companies and to make generalization of them. Several local companies do not invest a lot of money in marketing, but their results on social networks are comparable or even better than the ones of corporations managed by social networking agencies. What is the essence of their success and how it impacts the value of the company? The paper describes perceived value of entrepreneurs from small local companies through quality methods of research – personal interview and theoretical basis in this field. This data allowed to prepare a research, which shows four interest areas of the perceived value in small companies. The companies were selected from Slovakia, from among small and medium companies in local area in May 2019. In the research seventeen companies were involved and the main objective of the research was to gain as much information as possible about companies value and the value perceived by entrepreneurs. For this reason personal interview was used. The research result can bring parameters of perceived value in first step and later can provide a helpful model of managing value and the steps for understanding and creating the value of local company.

In Poland, whey from the production of traditional mountain cheeses is used to make żentyca, one of several traditional products made from milk from Polish mountain sheep raised in the Polish Carpathian Mountains. Żentyca is produced by heating whey to 90°C, that is the temperature at which the whey proteins coagulate and, by being lighter, they form a tender skin on the surface of liquid heated in the cheese vat. This skin is removed from the surface and with a little of remaining whey it is poured as żentyca into a wooden barrel, where it undergoes fermentation by own natural microflora. Research on this unique product is very rare, so the purpose of our study was to evaluate the nutritional and dietary value of żentyca depending on the production date. The samples were taken in shepherd’s huts located along the “Oscypek Trail”, during the sheep grazing period in the Carpathian Mountains, at the beginning (May) and the end (September) of the period. The tested traditional product was characterized by high mean dry matter content and low pH. The study proved that the month in which żentyca was made had an impact on the product quality. Żentyca made from milk produced at the onset of the grazing period contained more protein, lactose and phosphorus but less fat than the product made in the late grazing period. The production month also had influence on percentages of individual protein fractions, and over 60% of the analysed amino acids had varied shares in the protein depending on the żentyca production date. It was found that żentyca is a product of high nutritional and dietary value which depends on the period of production.

Commercialization processes are modeled and analyzed from the point of view of the implementation of activities under particular stages. These issues are the subject of many studies and analyzes, which is why the extensive literature is available on this subject. Technology valuation at various stages of the commercialization process is a separate issue. Such valuation is prepared in most cases by consulting companies for determining the price in the buying and selling processes. These valuations use known methods also used in other cases, e.g., real estate valuation. The work carried out presents the author’s concept of the commercialization process model, taking into account the costs and value of the technology at various stages of the product life cycle. The model uses a stochastic approach to determine future revenues and costs, which allows estimating the value of the technology by or in determining the probability of assessment validity. The proposed stochastic approach greatly increases the chances of using the presented solutions in practical activities related to technology valuation for the purposes of purchase and sale transactions.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to answer the following question: what concepts should be used to explain how marketing contributes to value creation in business-to-business (B2B) relations? Design/methodology: The method consists of: (1) using net present value (NPV) as a goal of B2B purchasing decisions and (2) analysing the supplier’s controlling system to differentiate between value drivers and value causes. Findings: A conceptual framework of B2B value creation has been proposed. NPV-related product description is the main concept in the framework. Originality/value: The study contributes to the B2B marketing theory by increasing the clarity of conceptual foundations by (1) proposing the NPV-relevant product description and (2) making a distinction between value drivers and causes of value.

The value of use is a specific notion but of a great generality that makes the product be regarded as a complex system that transforms itself in time, thus undergoing evolution. Therefore, the product is important not in itself, but for the sake of the requirements it satisfies and for the functions it provides. In the analysis of value there are connections of a technical nature that implicitly lead to connections of an economic nature. Thus, the method of the ”analysis of value” will actually examine the cost of product functions, the aim of the method being the balance of functions costs on the basis of their importance for the product. Identifying the functions represents one of the important stages of the analysis of value. The difficulty in fixing the functions derives from the fact that there are not any rules clear enough for this activity, but only principles.

This study contributes to the value co-creation theory in the context of the new product development process. The aim of this study is a comparison of interactions that lead to creation of value on public social media. The considered interactions are at diff erent stages of the new product development process: an idea generation and product development (crowdsourcing) and post-launch (product off erings). The place where interactions take place is Facebook fan page of a Polish clothes manufacturer. The DART model of value co-creation is the framework of the comparison. The results show that interactions at the stage of ideation and product development phase attracted more attention from the social media users than post-launch ones. Interactions at the stage of idea generation phase encouraged social media users to communicate with other social media users. It was rare with post-launch activities in the form of product off ering. The study is qualitative, based on a case study of a Polish clothes manufacturer with the use of an indepth interview and netnography.

Opakowania jednostkowe kosmetyków stanowią inherentny element wyposażenia produktu, bez którego niemożliwe byłoby wprowadzanie kosmetyku do obrotu towarowego. Opakowania kosmetyków powinny spełniać rozliczne, zazębiające się funkcje, do których należą: ochronna, transportowa, informacyjna (funkcje pierwotne) oraz użytkowa, ekologiczna i marketingowa (funkcje wtórne). Jedną z priorytetowych funkcji opakowań produktów (nie tylko kosmetyków) jest funkcja informacyjna. Zakłada się, iż odpowiedni dobór informacji zakodowanych na opakowaniach powinien wyczerpująco, rzetelnie i zrozumiale informować konsumenta o opakowanym kosmetyku, jego składzie, właściwościach, sposobie użycia czy szczególnych warunkach ostrożności. Analizując informacje zawarte na opakowaniach kosmetyków można stwierdzić, iż podmioty wprowadzające kosmetyk do obrotu towarowego wykazują tendencje do „nadmiernego” znakowania opakowań (w ramach znakowania fakultatywnego). Zasadne jest więc określenie, czy i które informacje są analizowane przez konsumentów w procesie nabywczym oraz jakie informacje stanowią o wartości komunikacyjnej opakowań jednostkowych z punktu widzenia konsumentów indywidualnych. Powyższe pozwoli na zidentyfikowanie kluczowych wyznaczników wartości informacyjnej opakowań i może stanowić cenną informację dla projektantów w zakresie właściwego doboru znaków i kodów opakowań jednostkowych.
Individual packaging of cosmetics is an inherent element of the product’s equipment without which it would be impossible to put the cosmetic on the market. Cosmetics packaging should meet numerous, interlocking functions, which include: protective, transport, information (primary functions) and usable, ecological, and marketing (secondary functions). One of the priority functions of product packaging (not only cosmetics) is the information function. It is assumed that an appropriate selection of information encoded on the packaging should provide the consumer with comprehensive, reliable, and comprehensible information about the packaged cosmetic, its composition, properties, method of use, and special precautions. Analysingthe information contained on the packaging of cosmetics, it can be concluded that the entities introducing the cosmetic to commodity trading tend to “over-mark” the packaging (as part of optional labelling). It is therefore reasonable to determine whether and which information is analysed by consumers in the purchasing process and what information constitutes the communication value of the unit packaging from the point of view of individual consumers. The above-mentioned will allow identifying the key determinants of the information value of packaging and can provide valuable information for designers in the area of the correct selection of signs and individual packaging codes.
Единичная упаковка косметики представляет собой неотъемлемый эле- мент оснащения продукта, без которого невозможно было бы ввести косме- тику в товарооборот. Упаковка косметики должна выполнять разные, сопри- касающиеся функции, к числу которых относятся: защитная, транспортная, информационная (первичные функции), а также утилитарная, экологическая и маркетинговая (вторичные функции). Одной из приоритетных функций упа- ковки (не только косметики) является информационная функция. Предполага- ют, что соответствующий подбор информации, закодированной на упаковке, должен исчерпывающе, добросовестно и понятно информировать потребите- ля об упакованной косметике, ее составе, свойствах, способе применения или особых мерах предосторожности. Анализируя информацию, содержащуюся на упаковке косметики, можно сказать, что субъекты, вводящие косметику в товарооборот, проявляют тенденцию к «чрезмерной» маркировке упаковки (в рамках факультативной маркировки). Следовательно, целесообразно опре- делить, анализаруется ли, а если да, то которая, информация потребителями в закупочном процессе, а также какая информация решает вопрос о комму- никационной ценности единичной упаковки с точки зрения индивидуальных потребителей. Вышесказанное позволит выявить основные детерминанты информационной ценности упаковки и может представлять собой ценную информацию для проектировщиков по вопросу о правильном выборе знаков и кодов единичной упаковки.
