Opis:
Various aspects of binary, ternary, quaternary, quinary, and senary structures for alloys, polymers and, in particular, proteins are studied. We refer to quinary and senary structures in some polymers indicating the role of total energy maxima in the infrared and Raman activity energy spectra. Decomposition of quinary structures to ternary structures is discussed. A complex analytical method of binary and ternary Galois extension is proposed as well as its realization in terms of Riemann surfaces. Slightly wavy behaviour of the system of hexagons in a polymer leaf is investigated
Rozważamy rozmaite aspekty struktur binarnych, ternarnych, kwaternarnych i senarnych dla stopów, polimerów i protein. W szczególności odnosimy się do struktur kwinarnych i senarnych w niektórych polimerach wskazując na rolę maksimów energii w spektrach podczerwieni i aktywności Ramana. Dyskutujemy rozkład struktur kwinarnych do ternarnych. Proponujemy zespoloną metodę analityczną dla binarnych i ternarnych rozszerzeń Galois, jak również ich realizację na powierzchniach Riemanna. Omawiamy lekko falujące zachowanie układu sześciokątów w liściu polimeru

https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.2/11 Obserwujemy, że struktury kwinarne i senarne, zarówno w przypadku pentacenu, jak i innych polimerów, można utworzyć ze struktur binarnych i senarnych w sensie równań różniczkowych i opisu geometrycznego. Liście pentacenu umieszczone na silikonowym podłożu mają postać pięciu połączonych węglowo-wodorowych sześciokątów; w całości nie tworzą dokładnie struktury planarnej lecz lekko falującą, która minimalizuje energię całkowitą. W przypadku struktury kwinarnej liście tworzą odosobnione, niemal periodyczne zygzaki i meandry.
https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.2/11 It is observed that quinary and senary structures like in pentacene and several other polymers may be composed from binary and ternary structures in the sense of differentialequational and geometrical description. In the case of pentacene its leaves are attached to the silicon background and have the form of five connected carbon-hydrogen hexagons; in total they do not form the precisely planar structure but a slightly wavy structure which minimizes total energy. In the case of a quinary structure the leaves form solitary, nearly periodical zigzags and meanders.

Opis:
First we give a definition of evolution. Introducing the concepts of binary and ternary extensions we describe the hierarchy structure (BTBB-structure) and the complexity systems of the evolution of the universe in a unified manner. Our main results are given and the evolutional tree is constructed in Paragraph 3. Finally we discuss basic problems concerning the evolutions.
Formułujemy definicję ewolucji. Wprowadzając pojęcia rozszerzeń binarnych i ternarnych opisujemy strukturę hierarchiczną (BTBB) i systemy złożoności ewolucji wszechświata w jednolity sposób. Główny rezultat tej pracy to drzewo ewolucyjne, które konstruujemy w Paragrafie 3. Na koniec odnosimy się do zasadniczych problemów teorii ewolucji.

Acoustic measurements were conducted at different seasons in the last five years at a fixed point of the Baltic Sea at a frequency 30 kHzcon currently with temperature and salinity sampling. Echosounding records were used to determine the seasonal and diurnal migration patterns of scattering layers in accordance with thermohaline conditions. Different seasonal patterns of nocturnal aggregations of organisms dependent on the temperature gradient in the thermocline were found. This paper illustrates the diurnal distributions of sound scattering layers and analyses the way they are linked to the physical structure of the water.

Przedmiotem rozważań w eseju z dziedziny socjologii i filozofii kultury fizycznej jest ascetyzm cielesności. Ascetyzm oznacza relację, czyli odniesienie czynności do jej podmiotu; ponieważ jest to odniesienie podmiotu do niego samego, wektor czynności ascezy jest samozwrotny. Rola społeczna ascety obejmuje wszystkie czynności i stosunki zawiązywane w grupie kulturowej gimnazjonu – centrum organizacyjnym systemu społecznego kultury fizycznej. Ascetyzm cielesności poprzedza logicznie każdą relację społeczną. W skali makro tworzy strukturę kultury fizycznej, także strukturę zdrowia publicznego, która tkwi potencjalnie w strukturze danego społeczeństwa jako całości. W zależności od modelu przyczynowo--ideowego społeczeństwa struktura kultury cielesnej może być aktualizowana lub likwidowana, przenoszona w stan potencjalności. Zastosowana do analizy rzeczywistości społecznej zasada przyczynowości odgórnej pozwala zrozumieć, dlaczego w strukturze państwa liberalno-demokratycznego nie występuje struktura ascetyzmu cielesności. Weryfikowana hipoteza wyjaśnia, że ascetyzm cielesności zostaje wyłączony za przyczyną ideologa z sieci zdrowia publicznego w strukturze liberalnej kratokracji, w której racją jest dobro władzy dla niej samej. W strukturze społeczeństwa narodowego sieć ascetyzmu cielesności zostaje podniesiona do rangi dobra wspólnotowego. Mimo zablokowania łączności sieci ascetyzmu cielesności ze struktura społeczną, gimnazjony akademickie przetrwały stan zapaści. Każdy z nich usprawiedliwiał się niezależnie bezideową racją rynku cielesnych usług, racją ważną dla prywatnej sieci fitness, ale rozczarowującą oczekiwania tej frakcji społeczności uczonych, która aspiruje do spełniania się w zadaniach publicznych, istotnych dla wspólności kulturowej narodu. Aktualizacja sieci ascetyzmu cielesności, ulokowanej za przyczyną władzy w strukturze zdrowia publicznego, może dokonać się przy udziale filozofa i pedagoga kultury fizycznej.
The topic of this essay combining elements of sociology and philosophy of physical culture is bodily asceticism. Asceticism means a relation, i.e. reference of an action to its subject; as the subject’s reference is to the subject itself, the vector of an ascetic action is self-reflexive. The social role of an ascetic includes all the activities and relations within the cultural group of gymnasium – the organizational centre of the social system of physical culture. Bodily asceticism logically proceeds any social relation. On the macroscale, it creates the structure of physical culture, also that of public health, which potentially is included in the structure of a given society as a whole. Depending on the causative and ideological model of society, the structure of bodily culture can be updated or eliminated, transferred to the state of potentiality. The principle of a priori causality applied to analyze the social reality allows us to understand why in the structure of a liberal democratic state there is no structure of bodily asceticism. The hypothesis that is being verified explains that bodily asceticism is excluded due to an ideologist from the public health chain in the structure of liberal kratokracja, where the reason to remain in power is a good in itself. In the structure of a nation the chain of bodily asceticism is raised to the status of the community’s good. Despite the interruption of communication between the bodily asceticism chain and the social structure, academic gymnasia survived the state of collapse. Each of them justified its behavior independently pointing out to the devoid of ideals reason of the bodily service market, so important to the chain of private fitness clubs, which, however, do not meet the expectations of this part of research community that aspires to find fulfilment in the field of public tasks, relevant to the cultural community of the nation. The chain of bodily asceticism placed in the public health structure by the government can be updated with the participation of a philosopher and educator of physical culture.

Przedstawiono alternatywne spojrzenie na kompozycję przestrzeni architektonicznej. Przeciwstawiono strukturę fizyczną (konstrukcję budynku, obrazowaną rysunkami dokumentacji budowlanej) strukturze funkcjonalnej (użytkowaniu, obrazowanemu grafami). Grafy dualne rzutów kondygnacji są wyabstrahowanym zapisem struktury funkcji, a także informacją o strukturze przestrzeni architektonicznej (March & Steadman 1974). Badaniu poddano rzuty obiektów typu: wolnostojący dom mieszkalny, który zajmuje znaczącą pozycję w twórczości Józefa Gałęzowskiego (1877–1963), prominentnego przedstawiciela krakowskiej architektury. Gałęzowski zaprojektował 40 takich obiektów, z czego ponad 20 zostało zrealizowanych. W artykule wybrane z nich poddano analizie.
The article presents an alternative approach to the composition of architectural space. Physical structure (building’s construction depicted by conventional drawings) has been contrasted with its functional structure (usage depicted by graphs). Dual graphs of the floor plans serve to abstract the functional structure of a house (March & Steadman 1974). Manors and other detached houses are an important position in the work of Józef Gałęzowski (1866–1963), a prominent representative of the Cracow school of architecture. Gałęzowski designed 40 such buildings, 20 of which were built. Floor plans of chosen houses designed by him are analysed in this paper.

Opis:
A system for extracting scores and the average from Algerian high school degree transcripts is proposed. The system extracts the scores and average based on the localization of tables gathering this information; it consists of several stages. After preprocessing, the system locates the tables using ruling-line information as well as other text information. Therefore, the adopted localization approach can work even in the absence of certain ruling lines or the erasure and discontinuity of the lines. After this, the localized tables are segmented into columns and the columns into information cells. Finally, cell labeling is done based on prior knowledge of the table structure, allowing us to identify the scores and the average. Experiments have been conducted on a local dataset in order to evaluate the performances of our system and compare it to three public systems at three levels; the obtained results show the effectiveness of our system.

The study aims to assess the relationship between the body structure, physical fitness, and functional parameters of the respiratory system of the cadets from the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces (AWL) and their results in passing selected obstacle courses. The research material was collected from testing cadets of the third year of management studies. The research included anthropometric measurements, physical fitness tests, spirometry, and tests determining the level of passing selected obstacle courses. Body height and weight were measured. The body mass index was also calculated. Besides, the following functional characteristics were measured: cardiopulmonary endurance, functional strength, running speed and agility, balance, forced expiratory volume in 1 second, forced vital capacity, and peak expiratory flow. The study also included tests determining the level of passing the land and water obstacle courses. Statistically significant relationships were found between height and weight, balance, and forced expiratory volume in 1 second. Moreover, there were correlations between body weight and body mass index and the results in passing the land obstacle course. In addition, there were connections between cardiopulmonary endurance and performance in passing the land obstacle course, body balance, and performance in passing the land and water obstacle course. All the relationships mentioned above were low and statistically significant.
Celem pracy jest ocena związków między budową somatyczną, sprawnością fizyczną i parametrami funkcjonalnymi układu oddechowego podchorążych Akademii Wojsk Lądowych imienia generała Tadeusza Kościuszki a wynikami w pokonywaniu przez nich wybranych torów przeszkód. Materiał badawczy został zebrany w wyniku badań podchorążych trzeciego roku studiów na kierunku zarządzanie. Badania obejmowały pomiary antropometryczne, testy sprawności fizycznej, spirometrię oraz testy określające poziom pokonywania wybranych torów przeszkód. Mierzono wysokość i masę ciała. Obliczono również wskaźnik masy ciała. Ponadto zmierzono następujące cechy funkcjonalne: wytrzymałość krążeniowo-oddechową, siłę funkcjonalną, szybkość biegową i zwinność, równowagę, natężoną objętość wydechowa w 1 sekundzie, natężoną pojemność płuc, szczytowy przepływ wydechowy. Badanie obejmowało również testy określające poziom pokonywania lądowego i wodnego toru przeszkód. Istotne statystycznie związki wystąpiły między wysokością a masą ciała i równowagą oraz natężoną objętością wydechową w 1 sekundzie. Ponadto zachodziły korelacje między masą ciała i wskaźnikiem masy ciała a wynikami w pokonywaniu lądowego toru przeszkód lądowych. Oprócz tego wystąpiły powiązania między wytrzymałością krążeniowo-oddechową a wynikami w pokonywaniu lądowego toru przeszkód, równowagą ciała a wynikami w pokonywaniu lądowego i wodnego toru przeszkód. Wszystkie przedstawione powyżej związki były niskie i istotne statystycznie.

Opis:
Positive correlations between physical activity and fitness with psychological benefits have been reported for many decades. Currently available novel neuroimaging techniques enable comparison and assessment of collected data, creating an opportunity to draw conclusions on the effectiveness of different types of exercise on improving brain functioning and health. There is a strong correlation between frequency of physical activity across the lifespan and benefits for brain functioning and volume. Aerobic physical activity, as the most thoroughly investigated type of exercise, comes out as the most beneficial for increasi ng brain volume and enhancing cognitive functions. It is also effective for raising the levels of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF). However, sedentary lifestyle may diminish positive influence of physical activity and seems to be a crucial negative factor f or maintaining brain health.

The study is aimed to analyze the interplay among the physical balance level, physical activities realization, anthropometric determinants and psychosocial indices in relation to gender and age of seniors 65+. Methods: The participants comprised 500 seniors in age 65+ (234 males and 266 females) participated voluntarily in the research. For data collection we used methods of the “Medical anamnesis”, “Tinetti Balance Assessment Tool”, “Health Survey SF-36”. For statistics analyses the multivariate regression with reduction of dimensionality and orthogonal projection to latent structure was used. Results: Analyzed disabilities “Depression”, “Type 2 diabetes mellitus”, “Hypertension” and “Vertigo” significantly negatively interplay with the Tinneti summary balance score in both genders. Results of the anthropometric parameters of female seniors, in a contrast to the male seniors parameters, proved that body high and muscle mass correlate significantly positively with the performance of the Tinneti summary balance test (p<0.01) in female seniors. Conclusion: Performing of physical activities positively correlates with the performance in the Tinneti summary balance test in both genders of seniors. There are differences between male and female seniors according the psychosocial factors interplay with performance in the Tinneti summary balance test, when more interplaying psychosocial factors were analyzed in females.
