    We introduce the concept of very true operator on a commutative basic algebra in a way analogous to that for fuzzy logics. We are motivated by the fact that commutative basic algebras form an algebraic axiomatization of certain non-associative fuzzy logics. We prove that every such operator is fully determined by a certain relatively complete sublattice provided its idempotency is assumed.

    Opis:
    For a rank-1 matrix $A = a ⊗ b^{t}$ over max algebra, we define the perimeter of A as the number of nonzero entries in both a and b. We characterize the linear operators which preserve the rank and perimeter of rank-1 matrices over max algebra. That is, a linear operator T preserves the rank and perimeter of rank-1 matrices if and only if it has the form T(A) = U ⊗ A ⊗ V, or $T(A) = U ⊗ A^{t} ⊗ V$ with some monomial matrices U and V.

    Let ℬ be a Banach algebra of bounded linear operators on a Banach space X. Let S be a closed linear operator in X, and let R be a linear operator in X. In this paper the spectral and Fredholm theory relative to ℬ of the perturbed operator S + R is developed. In particular, the situation where R is S-inessential relative to ℬ is studied. Several examples are given to illustrate the usefulness of these concepts.

    This paper deals with some operator representations φ of a weak*-Dirichlet algebra A, which can be extended to the Hardy spaces Hp(m), associated to A and to a representing measure m of A, for 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. A characterization for the existence of an extension φp of φ to Lp(m) is given in the terms of a semispectral measure Fφ of φ. For the case when the closure in Lp(m) of the kernel in A of m is a simply invariant subspace, it is proved that the map φp/Hp(m) can be reduced to a functional calculus, which is induced by an operator of class Cρ in the Nagy-Foias sense. A description of the Radon-Nikodym derivative of Fφ is obtained, and the log-integrability of this derivative is proved. An application to the scalar case, shows that the homomorphisms of A which are bounded in Lp(m) norm, form the range of an embedding of the open unit disc into a Gleason part of A.

    We show that the Kac−Paljutkin Hopf algebra appears as a quotient of \(C(\mathit{SU}_{-1}(2))\), which means that the corresponding quantum group \(G_{\kp}\) can be regarded as a quantum subgroup of \(\mathit{SU}_{-1}(2)\). We combine the fact that corepresentation category of the Kac−Paljutkin Hopf algebra is a Tambara−Yamagami tensor category associated with the Krein 4-group and the method of graded twisting of Hopf algebras, to construct the Hopf \(*\)-homomorphism.

    The inverse scattering problem for half-line Schrodinger operators with potentials from the Marchenko class is shown to be closely related to some Banach algebra of functions on the line. In particular, it is proved that the topological conditions in the Marchenko theorem can be replaced by the condition that the scattering function should belong to this Banach algebra.

    Opis:
    Topological Boolean algebras are generalizations of topological spaces defined by means of topological closure and interior operators, respectively. The authors in [14] generalized topological Boolean algebras to closure and interior operators of MV-algebras which are an algebraic counterpart of the Łukasiewicz infinite valued logic. In the paper, these kinds of operators are extended (and investigated) to the wide class of bounded commutative Rl-monoids that contains e.g. the classes of BL-algebras (i.e., algebras of the Hájek's basic fuzzy logic) and Heyting algebras as proper subclasses.

    A hierarchy of Lax-type flows on a dual space to the centrally extended Lie algebra of integral-differential operators with matrix-valued coefficients is considered. By means of a specially constructed Backlund transforniation the Hamiltonian representations for these flows coupled with suitable eigenfunctions and adjoint eigenfunctions evolutions of associated spectral problems are obtained. The Hamiltonian description of the corresponding set of additional symmetry hierarchies is represented. The relation of these hierarchies with Lax integrable (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear dynamical systems and their triple Lax-type linearizations is analysed.

    Recursive relationships are used for modelling problems coming from the real life, such as, for example, a relationship describing formal dependencies between employees of an enterprise, where creation of work groups and teams requires analysis of many elements. In conventional database systems, the precision of data is assumed. If our knowledge of the fragment of reality to be modelled is imperfect one should apply tools for describing uncertain or imprecise information. One of them is the fuzzy set theory. The paper deals with recursive relationships in fuzzy databases. The analysis is performed with the use of the theory of interval-valued fuzzy sets. A definition of a fuzzy interval recursive relationship has been presented. The paper defines different connections of entities which participate in such relationships. Operations of the extended relational algebra are also discussed.

    It is well known that a power of a right invertible operator is again right invertible, as well as a polynomial in a right invertible operator under appropriate assumptions. However, a linear combination of right invertible operators (in particular, their sum and/or difference) in general is not right invertible. It will be shown how to solve equations with linear combinations of right invertible operators in commutative algebras using properties of logarithmic and antilogarithmic mappings. The used method is, in a sense, a kind of the variables separation method. We shall obtain also an analogue of the classical Fourier method for partial differential equations. Note that the results concerning the Fourier method are proved under weaker assumptions than these obtained in [6] (cf. also [7, 8, 11]).

    We describe the set of the scattering data for self-adjoint Sturm-Liouville operators on the half-line with potentials belonging to $L_1(\mathbb{R}_+, \rho(x) dx)$, where $ \rho : \mathbb{R}_+ \rightarrow \mathbb{R}_+$ is a monotonically nondecreasing function from some family $\mathcal{R}$. In particular, $\mathcal{R}$ includes the functions $\rho(x) = (1 +x)^\alpha$ with $ \alpha \geq 1$.

The object of this paper is to study the spectral theory and Fredholm theory relative to ℬ of an operator which is affiliated with ℬ. Also, applications are given to semigroups of operators which are contained in ℬ.
