    Goal – this article’s main goal is to show the need for the integration of universities on the basis of the processes of network interaction between business and education as one of the conditions for improving the quality of education in the country, and accordingly the index of education and the human development index of the country. Research methodology – the authors used analytical, economic, statistical methods of data analysis, conceptual and empirical research. Score/results – the article reveals the essence and substantiates the need to implement of the practice‑oriented education system by using the dual training system and creating of network interaction between universities in different countries. The advantages of such a model are revealed in comparison with the traditional form of training for the employer, educational institution, future specialist and the state. The instruments and forms of development of trilateral integration are described. Originality/value – the article presents the results of a comparative study of the human development of Belarus and its four neighbouring countries (Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine), has theoretical and practical significance, contains the author’s generalizations and conclusions.

    This paper reviews user-click models and the typed query profile model in order to investigate principles of faster access to documents which are in a university campus network. There wassynthesized university campus user model that is based on the task-centric click model and determines document pertinence conditions, which relies on a user class. A solution of documents search automation was suggested that assumes that users will enable to avoid wasting of time in scientific materials search.

    The telecommunications industry in last decade went through the dramatic changes motivated by mobility, wireless technologies and miniaturization. The continuous increase in the complexity and the heterogeneity of healthcare telecommunications infrastructures requires reliable methodology to assess the quality of service provision. This article presents a cost effective methodology to assess the user's perception of quality of service provision utilizing the existing Staffordshire University network by adding a component of measurement to the existing model presented by Walker. This paper offers a cost effective approach to assess the QoS provision within the University campus network, which could be easily adapted to any campus network or healthcare organization in the world.

    The university market in Poland is very diversified. Marketing strategies based only on advertising and promotional activities are insufficient. Building a competitive advantage requires establishing deeper relationships, especially with the main stakeholders – students. Establishing of the relationships is possible through to the use of the social media popular in the young generation. The author interviewed people responsible for the university profiles in the social media. The research concerned the use of these media in the communication of the university with the environment.
    Rynek uczelni w Polsce jest bardzo zdywersyfikowany. Strategie marketingowe oparte tylko na działaniach reklamowych i promocyjnych są niewystarczające. Budowania przewagi konkurencyjnej wymaga nawiązywania głębszych relacji szczególnie z głównymi interesariuszami – studentami. Nawiązanie relacji jest możliwe dzięki wykorzystaniu mediów społecznościo-wych popularnych w młodym pokoleniu. Autorka przeprowadziła wywiady z osobami odpowiedzialnymi za uczelniane profile w mediach społecznościo-wych. Badania dotyczyły zastosowania tych mediów w komunikacji uczelni z otoczeniem.

    Opis:
    The purpose of the article is to investigate how the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz creates business relationships with companies and artists. The article enumerates various aspects of the positive impact of those business relationships on the Academy. The study is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the reasons for dealing with the issue and the essence of the network of business relationships as well as the reasons for the development of the network, including motivations for networking, determinants of cooperation between the university and other entities. The practical part of the article aims to present the results of research studies conducted at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz between 2007 and 2017 at the two faculties: the Faculty of Industrial and Interior Design, and the Faculty of Sculpture and Interactive Actions.
    Celem artykułu jest pokazanie relacji Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Wł. Strzemińskiego w Łodzi z rynkiem. W artykule postawiono hipotezę, że jedną z głównych przyczyn efektywnego funkcjonowania uczelni jest tworzenie więzi sieci relacji biznesowych z przedsiębiorstwami i artystami. Opracowanie podzielono na części: teoretyczną i praktyczną. W części teoretycznej opisano przyczynę zajęcia się problematyką i istotę sieci relacji biznesowych, w tym nurty motywacji tworzenia sieci, a ponadto uwarunkowania współpracy uczelni z innymi podmiotami. Część praktyczna artykułu ma na celu przedstawienie wyników badań obserwacji uczestniczących prowadzonych w Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Wł. Strzemińskiego w Łodzi w latach 2007-2017 na dwóch wydziałach: Wzornictwa i Architektury Wnętrz oraz Rzeźby i Działań Interaktywnych.
    Цель статьи – показать, как выглядят отношения Академии изящных искусств им. Владислава Стржеминьского в Лодзи с рынком. В статье выд- винули гипотезу, что одна из основных причин эффективного функциониро- вания вуза – формирование узов сети бизнес-отношений с предприятиями и артистами. Разработку разделили на части: теоретическую и практическую. В теоретической части описали причину обсуждения проблематики и суть сети бизнес-отношений, в том числе русла мотиваций формирования сети, кроме того – обусловленности сотрудничества вуза с другими субъектами. Практическая часть статьи преследует собой цель представить результаты обследований по методу включенного наблюдения, проведенных в Академии изящных искусств им. Вл. Стржеминьского в Лодзи в 2007-2017 гг. на двух факультетах: Дизайна и архитектуры интерьера, а также Скульптуры и инте- рактивных действий.

    Plusieurs études se penchent ces dernières années sur la vie numérique des étudiants, aussi bien au lycée que dans l’enseignement supérieur. Nous passons d’abord en revue quelques travaux scientifiques, réalisés dans différents pays et qui essaient d’analyser quelle influence ont les technologies d’apprentissage sur sa qualité. Nous présentons ensuite l’enquête réalisée à l’Université Grenoble 2 auprès de tous les étudiants primoentrants en été 2012, enquête qui s’intéressait à leurs pratiques numériques, à leurs expériences numériques pour l’apprentissage, acquises au lycée et aux outils numériques utilisés éventuellement par les enseignants du secondaire, à leurs habitudes dans l’apprentissage des technologies et, enfin, à leurs attentes concernant les services numériques de l’université. Nous posons ensuite la question des modifications à prévoir en termes de missions de l’université par rapport aux services numériques, la place de ces outils dans les études et les changements qui interviendront probablement dans la relation entre les enseignants et les étudiants

    Opis:
    Ład akademicki (academic governance) to termin mato znany i rzadko używany  w polskiej literaturze przedmiotu. Bez jego wprowadzenia trudno jednak czerpać  z dorobku bogatej literatury światowej na temat reform i modeli szkolnictwa wyższego.  W polskiej literaturze przy omawianiu rozwiązań dotyczących ładu akademickiego  w zewnętrznym otoczeniu uczelni używa się zwykle terminu „system”, jeśli natomiast  omawia się rozwiązania wewnątrz uczelni, stosuje się zazwyczaj termin „ustrój”.  W pierwszej części artykułu autor definiuje pojęcia „ład akademicki” oraz „zewnętrzny  ład akademicki” i „wewnętrzny ład akademicki”, w następnych omawia rozwiązania  w dziedzinie ładu akademickiego w Unii Europejskiej, w krajach anglosaskich  (na przykładzie Stanów Zjednoczonych) oraz w Polsce.  Podczas gdy w latach sześćdziesiątych )0( w. europejskie reformy ładu akademickiego  czerpały inspirację z ładu publicznego, to obecnie wzorcem są struktury  zarządzania w sektorze prywatnym. Wyniki badań potwierdzają, że zmiany sterowania  systemu idą, choć niepewnym krokiem, w kierunku większego urynkowienia  europejskiego obszaru szkolnictwa wyższego. W Polsce urynkowienie systemu  szkolnictwa jak dotąd polegało głównie na stworzeniu sektora szkół niepublicznych,  z jednoczesnym zachowaniem systemu nierynkowego w publicznym sektorze  szkolnictwa wyższego.
     “Academic governance” is a term which is little known and rarely used in Polish literaturę. However, this term is essential to understand the extensive literaturę on higher education reforms and models published in various countries. When discussing academic governance Solutions, Polish literaturę usually uses the term system (system) to refer to the external environment of universities and the term ustrój (internal organisation) to talk about Solutions within universities. In the first part of his paper, the author defines the notions of academic governance, external academic governance and internal academic governance and then discusses academic governance Solutions in the European Union, English-speaking countries (example of the USA) and in Poland. While in 1960s the European reforms of academic governance were inspired by public governance, the governance structures in the private sector have become the model in recent years. Research confirms that the changes in governance are heading, albeit falteringly, towards an increased marketisation of the European higher education. In Poland, the marketisation of the education system has meant, above all, the emergence of the non-public sector alongside a non-market system, the latter persisting in the public higher education sector.
