The article aims to present the results of research conducted by the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw on behalf of the Municipality of Wroclaw, concerning the demand for transportation among entrepreneurs in Wroclaw Agglomeration in the medium term (3 - 5 years). The essence of the study was to determine the volume of traffic generated by enterprises excluding intra-urban traffic and to provide additional information describing this movement in terms of dynamics and modes of transport used. The obtained results are compared to research conducted by J. Burnewicz (2007) regarding the projected demand for transport services in Poland until 2020.

Opis:
Ensuring that gifted individuals receive differentiated and enhanced education, which is suitable for their areas of skills and developmental characteristics, will contribute to revealing their skills and developing their multiple developmental areas to bring them to upper levels. The purpose of this study is to determine the needs of gifted individuals by  developing a curriculum which considers their educational needs. In the scope of this study, interviews were made with ten parents using the Snowball Sapling Method. The questionnaires used in the interviews were prepared in a semi-structured manner in light of variables determined from the literature on the subject . Interviews were made by  two researchers. The two researchers assessed data obtained separately; and thus, codes of study were obtained. Themes were formed according to common components of the codes. Three main themes were formed on needs analysed in light of data obtained from the  literature on the topic. These themes were  “Characteristics of Gifted Individuals”; “School and Expectations from It”; and “Being Parents of Gifted Individuals”. These themes were separated into sub-themes.The parents explained “different behaviour patterns of their gifted children”, “characteristic of their children” and “situations their gifted children like/do not like” in the “Characteristics of Gifted Individuals” theme.The  “School and Expectations from It” theme consisted of two sub-themes, which were  “satisfaction of parents with  school”, and “expectations of parents from school”. In the “Being Parents of Gifted Individuals” theme, the parents explained, “their concerns ”, “their regrets”, “the difficulties they have with their children”, and “their complaints”. Results of this study led to initialising a curriculum development study for gifted children which is based on their characteristics and needs.

The paper reported two correlational studies. The aim of the Study 1 was to examine the hypothesis that age moderates the relationship between need for closure (NFC) and cognitive structuring. Results of the study revealed that aging with increased need for closure was associated with better recognition of irrelevant information than schema-relevant items, in testing hypotheses about the target person. These findings are interpreted as demonstrating the age-associated failure of cognitive abilities (i.e., low efficacy at fulfilling the need for closure), reducing tendency to behave according to the level of epistemic motivation. The results of Study 2 demonstrated that older participants are characterized by higher NFC but by lower EFNC than young participants. These results are consistent with the conclusion that the negative relationships between NFC and cognitive structuring demonstrated by the older participants in Study 1 can be attributed to their lower level of EFNC.

Artykuł przedstawia ideę odpowiedzialnego projektowania. Podstawową kwestią jest pytanie o element, który decyduje o tym, że pewne wymagania stawiane przez określone grupy odbiorców są potrzebami, inne zaś nie? Czy może być nim kategoria potrzeby? By odpowiedzieć na te pytania autorka wymienia pięć pojęć kryjących się pod terminem dizajn, szkicuje krótką historię pojęcia odpowiedzialnego dizajnu, wskazuje jego istotny element, jakim jest opozycja wobec projektowania komercyjnego, by dojść do paradoksu wpisanego w odpowiedzialne projektowanie. Paradoks, polega na tym, że wraz z negacją projektowania komercyjnego (który wyraźnie oddziela funkcję rzeczy od wyglądu), odpowiedzialny dizajn pozbawia się miary, pozwalającej odróżnić zaspokajanie potrzeb, przez określone funkcje przedmiotów od pozostałych wymagań odbiorców.
The article presents the idea of responsible design. The main issue is the question about an element, which decides if certain requirements made by a specific group of recipients are necessary or not. May it be a category of a need? In order to answer these questions, the author names five concepts hidden behind the term design, outlines a brief history of the notion of the responsible design, points out its essential element, that is its opposition towards the commercial design and finally reaches the paradox inscribed in the responsible designing. The paradox consists in that together with the negation of the commercial designing (which explicitly separates the function of an object from its external appearance), the responsible designing is deprived of a measure which would allow to distinguish the satisfaction of needs by specific functions of objects from the remaining needs of the receivers

The objective of this research is to develop firms’ project manufacturing coordination. The development will be made by centralizing the manufacturing information flows in one system. To be able to centralize information, a deep user need assessment is required. After user needs have been identified, the existing system will be developed to match these needs. The theoretical background is achieved through exploring the literature of project manufacturing, development project success factors and different frameworks and tools for development project execution. The focus of this research is rather in customer need assessment than in system’s technical expertise. To ensure the deep understanding of customer needs this study is executed by action research method. As a result of this research the information system for project manufacturing coordination was developed to respond revealed needs of the stakeholders. The new system improves the quality of the manufacturing information, eliminates waste in manufacturing coordination processes and offers a better visibility to the project manufacturing. Hence it provides a solid base for the further development of project manufacturing.

Potrzeba poznawczego domknięcia jest tendencją jednostki do posiadania jasnej i niekwestionowanej wiedzy na dany temat, dzięki której może ona zredukować niepewność, sformułować osąd i podjąć działanie. Potrzeba prostej struktury to skłonność jednostki do strukturyzowania i organizowania otoczenia. Celem przeprowadzonego badania była identyfikacja różnic międzypłciowych w obu tych konstruktach motywacyjnych. Przeciwnie do sformułowanych hipotez, w odniesieniu do łącznego wyniku podskal, zarówno skali badającej potrzebę poznawczego domknięcia, jak i skali potrzeby prostej struktury, uzyskano wyniki wskazujące, że kobiety cechują się wyższym poziomem tych przejawów motywacji epistemicznej w porównaniu do mężczyzn.
The need for cognitive closure is a tendency to having a clear and unquestionable knowledgeof a particular subject, through which individual can reduce uncertainty, formulate judgement andtake action. The need for structure is a tendency to structure and organize the environment. Theaim of the study was to identify gender differences in both of these motivational constructs. Contrary to the hypotheses, with respect to the total score of both the scale examining the need forcognitive closure and the scale of the need for structure, results were obtained indicating thatwomen were characterized by a higher level of these types of epistemic motivations in comparisonto men.

The article substantiates that the formation and development of the modern labor market are significant for the further development of Ukraine as a legal, democratic, and socially oriented state. Particular attention is paid to studying a specific segment of this market - the market of persons with limited labor opportunities. As practice shows, due to limited health opportunities, workers with limited labor opportunities do not have the chance to compete on an equal footing with other citizens in the labor market. As a result, their rights to work are violated, they are being forced out of the labor market, unemployment is growing and depth of poverty. The article proposes forms, mechanisms and systems of access to this market. The conducted research allowed to identify the main reasons for the low level of employment of representatives of this segment of the labor market.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between need for stimulation and cognitive-behavioral style of personal activity. The preferences for the specified form of cognitive and behavioral styles is considered as a regulatory process of stimulation. The results showed that on the cognitive level the need for cognitive closure can be examined as a form of stimulation input control. However, on the behavioral level these relations are more complex. The expected positive relation between the point strategy and low need for stimulation have not been confirmed. These outcomes was explained by the transactional approach.
