The rapid development of information technology and telecommunications has radically changed the two most important social processes: access to information and communication, allowing the globalization of the economy, culture, education and other areas of society. Priority, undoubtedly, is education, which determines the pace of development in particular countries and the quality of life of individuals. Hypertext and episodic flow of information dramatically changes the way we think and learn. Today, the human cognitive process can no longer be based on the linear structure because shaping knowledge is based on the conscious use of information fragments and episodes that reach the contemporary man in a continuous and often unintentional way. In such conditions, methods and forms of education used for centuries are no longer effective, especially for digital natives who build their intellectual capital.

Modern education opens up broad prospects for the use of the Internet and its applications. Global computer network helps us to cross all limits allowed for the development and transfer of knowledge and to stimulate and create personal skills. Time and distance are no longer an obstacle. Recently, it has also been popularized in the use of online tools for professional work and intellectual and to the education at all levels of education. In this way, teachers are able to adapt teaching tools to the students’ individual needs. Moreover, the aspects of graphical visualization can be more efficient and interesting for students from previously used resources. This paper presents various methods of the Internet in education, and in particular the use of software to solve advanced problems in the art, for example, to calculate transient states. These tools are not only used for training skills or to solve specific tasks but also to shape attitudes and social behavior.

Znajdują one również zastosowanie w procesie kształcenia, który w dobie powszechnej cyfryzacji przechodzi swoistą transformację. Celem podjętych rozważań jest pokaza-nie zasadności wdrażania TIK do procesu uczenia się i nauczania. Szczególna uwaga zostanie zwrócona na omówienie modelu SAMR, który prezentuje poziomy wykorzystywania nowych technologii w edukacji.
New technologies are an essential element of the functioning of the unit in the twenty-first century. Their rapid growth and pervasiveness led to irreversible alterations in many areas of modern life. They are also widely used in the educational process, which in the era of universal digitization, undergoing a kind of transformation. The aim of this discussion is to demonstrate the validity of the implementation of ICT for learning and teaching. Particular attention will be paid to the discussion SAMR model which represents the levels of use of new technologies in education.

Thesis. The present study aims to explore the impact of Covid-19 on higher education and identify the different problems faced by pedagogues around the globe. It compares the outcomes and comments from both established and developing countries to understand the change in pedagogical procedures. Concept. The desire for social isolation that was unheard of until the 20th and 21st centuries became a catchall word during the pandemic. For educational institutions, the governments’ emergency measures to switch from traditional classroom settings to virtual alternatives generated important opportunities and problematic obstacles. Results and conclusion. The study was conducted thorough research of Covid-19's broad effects on pedagogical practices in higher education, from the viewpoints of both instructors and learners. An analysis of diverse secondary materials was carried out and conclusions were derived accordingly. The findings show that the pandemic caused distinct problems for different populations depending on selected criteria that were explored and emphasised in the proposed study. Originality. The study has thoroughly analysed the ideas, challenges, of online educational pedagogy to identify the effectiveness and challenges. The main research contribution is the finding that asserts the promise of technology and the challenges that students encounter when learning through digital processes.

Aim. The development of learners' CT is considered to be one of the most important skills in today’s fast pacing world.   It has also been regarded as the mainstay of and an important component of literature teaching. However, this is one of those areas that was overlooked mainly in eastern culture in general and in the EFL classrooms in particular.   Methods. To this end, to foster learners' critical thinking skills, a poetry program was specifically designed to draw learners’ attention towards the significance of CT. Through a case study approach,  a poetry program with a focus on culture-specific information was incorporated into the course. Four female students were engaged in a number of tasks in which they gradually learned to think critically through reflecting on and evaluating the assigned poems. A checklist was generated and used to observe and rate students’ CT before and after the intervention through teacher diaries.   Results and conclusion. Analysis of the case study data indicated that students’ CT had improved and they developed good critical habits as a result of their involvement in the intervention. Thus, it was concluded that poetry could be regarded as a useful and effective source for developing critical thinking skills among students.

John Amos Comenius' views on education do not only have a historical dimension. They belong to the valuable aspects relating to the area of education in the context of the organ-ization of schoolwork, universality of education, arranging the teacher's work with the use of methodologically important teaching principles and working methods, taking into account the intellectual and physical abilities of students. The meaning of the postulated views is humanistic, leaning towards a man and his development possibilities. At the same time, they indicate his a right for a dignified life, which results from the concept of human nature. From the sense and essence of J. A. Comenius' humanistic thinking derives the nature of his timeless ideas, whose message is still valid in the multidimensional education of the 21st century. The aim of the text is to present selected ideas of J. A. Comenius - a scholar from the 17th century, which are still relevant and can be found in contemporary education. In the text, I refer to the selected ideas. I characterize and interpret them, referring to the great works by J. A. Comenius and priority modern educational challenges.

Rozważania podjęte w niniejszym artykule zostały skoncentrowane wokół różnego rodzaju odwołań (cytatów, parafraz, aluzji i in.) do autorów piszących w językach klasycznych, wprowadzonych przez Paula Friedeborna do kroniki – Historische Beschreibung der Stadt Alten Stettin in Pommern, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem greckich i łacińskich autorów antycznych. Pierwszym celem badawczym było zidentyfikowanie na podstawie ww. odwołań punktów wspólnych w programie dydaktycznym Pedagogium Stetinense i w Historycznym opisie miasta Szczecina. Zestawiono nazwiska twórców i tytuły tekstów wymienianych w dokumentacji dydaktycznej uczelni i w kronice, dzięki czemu wyłoniono listę 16 autorów „szkolnych”, których Friedeborn wprowadził do swojej kroniki. Z tekstu kroniki wyodrębniono 84 odwołania do twórczości tych autorów. W drugiej części rozważań poddano te nawiązania analizie, traktując je jako próbę badawczą, która pozwala na bliższe przyjrzenie się warsztatowi historyka oraz przyjmowanym przez niego strategiom związanym z wprowadzaniem odniesień do twórczości innych autorów. Szczegółowej analizie poddano wszystkie cytaty z twórczości Cycerona, na wyższym poziomie ogólności potraktowano odwołania do pozostałych autorów „szkolnych”. Skupiono się na trzech aspektach. Pierwszym z nich jest wykorzystanie różnych wariantów językowych oraz próba wskazania możliwych powodów tej różnorodności. Drugim jest stosowanie zróżnicowanych form opisu poszczególnych wzmianek, co pozwala bliżej przyjrzeć się metodyce pracy Paula Friedeborna. Wreszcie trzeci aspekt, podjęty tylko w ograniczonym zakresie, to próba odpowiedzi na pytanie o źródła, z których Friedeborn zapożyczał fragmenty twórczości autorów antycznych do swojej kroniki. W zakończeniu podkreślono, że przeprowadzone rozważania mają charakter rekonesansu badawczego. Wnioski sformułowane na podstawie nawiązań do autorów „szkolnych” powinny w przyszłości ulec weryfikacji na podstawie analizy wszystkich odniesień do autorów piszących w językach klasycznych wprowadzonych przez Friedeborna do tekstu kroniki.
The considerations in this article are focused on various types of references (quotations, paraphrases, allusions, etc.) to authors who wrote in classical languages, introduced by Paul Friedeborn in his chronicle titled Historische Beschreibung der Stadt Alten Stettin in Pommern, with a particular emphasis on Greek and Latin ancient authors. The first research objective was to identify common points in the educational program of Pedagogium Stetinense and Friedeborn’s Historical description of the city of Szczecin based on the aforementioned references. This involved compiling a list of 16 “academic” authors whose works were introduced by Friedeborn into his chronicle by comparing the names of the creators and the titles of the texts mentioned in the university’s educational documentation and in the chronicle. From the chronicle text, 84 references to the works of these authors were extracted. In the second part of the considerations, these references were subjected to analysis, treated as a research attempt that allows for a closer examination of the historian’s craftsmanship and the strategies he adopted related to incorporating references to the works of other authors. All quotations from Cicero’s works were subjected to detailed analysis, while references to other “academic” authors were examined at a higher level of generality. The focus was on three aspects. The first is the use of various linguistic variants and an attempt to indicate possible reasons for this diversity. The second is the use of different forms of describing individual mentions, allowing for a closer look at Paul Friedeborn’s work methodology. Finally, the third aspect, addressed to a limited extent, is an attempt to answer the question of the sources from which Friedeborn borrowed excerpts from the works of ancient authors for his chronicle. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the considerations conducted in this article have the character of research reconnaissance. The conclusions formulated based on references to “academic” authors should be verified in the future through the analysis of all references to authors who wrote in classical languages introduced by Friedeborn into the chronicle’s text.

W artykule zawarto rozważania dotyczące problemu modernizacji polskiej szkoły w kontekście zmian społecznych zachodzących po nowoczesności. Jako element wspomnianej modernizacji proponuje się model klasy językowej o cienkich ścianach: środowiska edukacyjnego opartego na filozofii współuczenia się oraz współdzielenia kapitału symbolicznego i społecznego. W opracowaniu przedstawiono możliwości stworzenia takiej klasy, odwołując się do wyników badania eksploracyjnego przeprowadzonego między kwietniem a czerwcem 2015 r. w portalu społecznościowym italki.com, służącym do wymian tandemowych „język za język”. Badanie opierało się przede wszystkim na wieloaspektowej obserwacji prowadzonej podczas udziału autorki tekstu w licznych wymianach językowych w opisywanym portalu oraz na wynikach miniankiety i wywiadów z dziesięciorgiem uczestników tandemowej edukacji językowej w tym portalu.
The article discusses the problem of modernisation of the Polish school in the context of social changes in post-modernist times. The thin-walled classroom – as an element of the philosophy of co-learning and an example of a sharing economy – is presented as a model of such modernisation. The author shows the possibilities of creating such a classroom based on her exploratory study of italki.com, a portal for tandem language learning. The study, carried out between April and June 2015, presents the portal and its users, based on participatory observation as well as a mini-survey and interviews (N = 10).

W artykule przedstawiona została praktyczna realizacja i analiza funkcjonowania zrobotyzowanego zestawu paletyzującego opartego na bazie czujnika wizyjnego SensoPartVisor V10-OB- -A1-W6, wspomagającego pracę ramienia robota przemysłowego Kawasaki RS03N. Zaprojektowano i zaimplementowano dedykowane oprogramowanie sterujące robotem przemysłowym z uwzględnieniem konfiguracji i graficznej optymalizacji parametrów wizyjnych sensora obrazowego. Zestrojony układ sterowania pozwala na automatyczne znajdowanie określonych obiektów 3D i kompletowanie ich według określonego algorytmu magazynowania. Ćwiczący studenci w laboratorium mogą zapoznać się z najnowszymi metodami projektowania systemów sterowania robotami przemysłowymi dla celów automatyzacji procesów produkcyjnych.
The article presents the practical implementation and analysis of the functioning of a robotic palletizing set based on the SensoPart Visor V10-OB-A1-W6 vision sensor supporting the work of the Kawasaki RS03N industrial robot arm. Dedicated software for controlling an industrial robot has been designed and implemented taking into account the configuration and graphical optimization of vision parameters of the image sensor. The tuned control system allows you to automatically find specific 3D objects and complete them according to a specific storage algorithm. The practicing students in the laboratory can learn about the latest methods of designing industrial robots control systems for the purpose of automation of production processes. Keywords

Obraz ten ściśle związany jest z określeniem stosunku dzieci do Innego, m.in. poprzez ustalenie ich dystansu społecznego wobec grup innych kulturowo. Badanie to miało charakter mieszany i zawierało zarówno ujęcie jakościowe jak i ilościowe. Ponadto artykuł ma na celu zwrócenie uwagi na istotną kwestię postrzegania Innego kulturowo przez uczniów klas młodszych w kontekście tematyki wielokulturowości jako wyzwania współczesnej polskiej szkoły.
The article presents an analysis and evaluation of research tools used in a pilot study of an image of Other created by third grade students. The image is tightly connected to determining children’s approach towards Others, for example by estimating their social distance to culturally distinct groups. The research was of mixed type containing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Furthermore, the article’s goal is to show the important question of how lower grade students view culturally distinct Others in a wider context of multiculturalism as a challenge for modern Polish education.

Opis:
W prasie katolickiej w Królestwie Polskim przełomu XIX i XX wieku dyskutowano o sytuacji Kościoła w zmieniających się realiach społecznych, omawiano i krytycznie komentowano zachodnie koncepcje modernizacyjne. Publicyści poszukiwali odpowiadających rodzimym warunkom sposobów kształtowania nowoczesnego społeczeństwa i określania roli Kościoła w tym procesie. Dyskurs o nowoczesności dotyczył m.in. zagadnień oświaty i obywatelstwa. W niniejszym artykule reprezentatywnym przedmiotem badań uczyniono czasopisma adresowane głównie do duchowieństwa i wydawane przez dłuższy okres: „Przegląd Katolicki”, „Ateneum Kapłańskie”, „Wiadomości Pasterskie”, „Kronika Diecezji Kujawsko-Kaliskiej”, „Kronika Diecezji Sandomierskiej”, „Przegląd Diecezjalny w Kielcach”, „Wiadomości Archidiecezjalne Warszawskie”. Propagowano w nich nowoczesną wiedzę o sposobach wspierania przez Kościół oświaty szkolnej i pozaszkolnej, wskazywano symbiotyczne związki edukacji młodego pokolenia z utrwalaniem wartości religijnych, kształtowaniem postaw obywatelskich i dbałością o etyczny wymiar wspólnoty społecznej. W artykule przyjęto strategię badawczą opartą na tzw. społecznej koncepcji historii wychowania. Zastosowano metody badań historyczno-pedagogicznych oraz metody analizy dyskursu prasowego. Krótko omówiono kwestie formalno-wydawnicze czasopism, skupiając się przede wszystkim na zagadnieniach oświatowo-wychowawczych i obywatelskich, ukazywanych w katolickiej prasie społecznej po 1905 roku oraz problemach edukacji pozaszkolnej.
The Catholic press in the Kingdom of Poland at the beginning of the 20th century covered the situation of the Church in the changing social reality and discussed and critically commented on Western concepts of modernisation. Publicists searched for ways of shaping modern society and the defining the role of the Church in this process that suited domestic conditions. The discourse on modernity addressed issues of education and citizenship, among others. Magazines addressed mainly to the clergy and published over a longer period of time were used as representative subjects in the study, including Przegląd Katolicki, Ateneum Kapłańskie, Wiadomości Pasterskie, Kronika Diecezji Kujawsko- Kaliskiej, Kronika Diecezji Sandomierskiej, Przegląd Diecezjalny w Kielcach and Wiadomości Archidiecezjalne Warszawskie. They promoted contemporary knowledge about the ways in which the Church supports school and extracurricular education, and pointed out the symbiotic relationship between the education of the younger generations and the consolidation of religious values, the shaping of civic attitudes and concern for the ethical dimension of the social community. The article adopts a research strategy based on the social conception of the history of education. Methods of historical and pedagogical research and of press discourse analysis were applied. The formal and editorial issues of the periodicals are briefly discussed, focussing primarily on educational and civic issues as they appeared in the Catholic social press after 1905 and on the problems of extracurricular education.

Opis:
The subject of this article is to indicate the problems of preparing the first year of the firstdegree students for studying in "Management and Production Engineering", especially in the field of basic technical knowledge and "technical" thinking. The experiences and thoughts of authors, referred to the mentioned problem, as well as proposed teaching methods and evaluation measures are presented in the article on the example of a particular subject of studies, implemented at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology, which is named as "Introduction to technology". The introductory part of the article shows the conditions and premises that were the starting point for the development of the above-mentioned program. Next, the second chapter, presents the content of the course and the rules of the student's credit for the subject matter covered by the lectures. Chapter 3 discusses the concept and manner of implementing in the design classes provided for in the program of the subject. Chapter 4 is a collection of practical observations and conclusions, related to conducting both lectures and laboratory classes and student credit. The proposals formulated in the summaries concern, in particular, the preparation of didactic materials for the area of education discussed in the article, but also the needs and possibilities of using the experiences presented in the article, also in the education of non-technical students.
Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest wskazanie problematyki przygotowania studentów pierwszego roku pierwszego stopnia studiów na kierunku „Zarządzanie i Inżynieria Produkcji”, zwłaszcza w zakresie podstawowej wiedzy technicznej oraz myślenia „technicznego”. Problem oraz proponowane środki i sposoby jego rozwiązania przedstawiono w artykule na przykładzie szczególnego przedmiotu, realizowanego na Wydziale Organizacji i Zarządzania Politechniki Śląskiej, którym jest „Wprowadzenie do techniki”. W części wprowadzającej artykułu pokazano uwarunkowania i przesłanki, które były punktem wyjścia dla opracowania programu ww. przedmiotu. W kolejnym, drugim rozdziale przedstawiono treści kształcenia oraz zasady zaliczania przez studentów przedmiotu w zakresie objętych wykładami. W rozdziale 3 omówiono koncepcję oraz sposób jej realizacji w zajęciach projektowych, przewidzianych w programie omawianego przedmiotu. Rozdział 4 to zbiór obserwacji, związany z prowadzeniem zarówno wykładów jak i zajęć laboratoryjnych oraz zaliczaniem przez studentów tych zajęć. Sformułowane w podsumowaniu propozycje dotyczą zwłaszcza przygotowania materiałów dydaktycznych do omawianego w artykule obszaru kształcenia, ale także – potrzeb i możliwości wykorzystania doświadczeń przedstawionych w artykule w kształceniu studentów na kierunkach nietechnicznych.
