Research background: With growing evidence of consumer adoption of mobile shopping apps, there is a pivotal need for comprehending Internet-enabled consumer devices in mobile shopping behavior. Mobile shopping platform features and user technological readiness configure consumers' expectations and demands as regards mobile retailing adoption, leading to acceptance of mobile shopping apps and payment services. Purpose of the article: In this research, prior findings have been cumulated indicating that mobile social apps extend throughout consumer attitudes and behaviors by the widespread adoption of smartphones. We contribute to the literature by showing that cutting-edge technological developments associated with customer behavior in relation to mobile commerce apps have resulted in the rise of data-driven systems. Consumer behavioral intention and adoption intention in relation to mobile shopping apps/websites are developed on perceived risk and trust consequences. Methods: Throughout February and March 2021, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was carried out, with search terms comprising "mobile shopping app", "mobile commerce platform", "mobile payment service", "Internet-enabled consumer device", "consumer technological adoption", and "mobile shopping behavior". As research published between 2018 and 2021 was analyzed, only 330 sources met the suitability criteria. By removing questionable or indeterminate findings (insubstantial/inconsequent data), results unconfirmed by replication, too imprecise content, or having quite similar titles, 66, chiefly empirical, sources were selected. A systematic review of recently published literature was carried out on technological adoption of mobile commerce apps by employing Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. The Systematic Review Data Repository was used, a software program for the gathering, handling, and analysis of data for the systematic review. The quality of the academic articles was determined by harnessing the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool. Findings & value added: The consumer purchase decision-making process in mobile app-based marketing involves consumer engagement and willingness to adopt mobile commerce apps. Further advancements should clarify how technological-based consumer adoption of mobile shopping throughout social commerce can improve the payment for products and services.

W artykule przytoczono badania z zakresu opinii konsumentów na temat aplikacji mobilnych firm, satysfakcji z ich użytkowania czy bezpieczeństwa danych. Konkluzję stanowią nowe kierunki strategii biznesowych opartych na wykorzystaniu aplikacji mobilnych w wybranych obszarach biznesowych.
The rapid increase in the popularity of smartphones has affected many business areas such as marketing, sales and even customer service. The new functionalities of mobile phones are significant from an entrepreneurial perspective due to the increasing importance of self-service in mobile phone applications over traditional customer service. In addition, the mobile app market has provided many business sectors with a new source for obtaining information about products as well as data about customers. This article presents the results of research on customers’ perspective on mobile phone applications, their security and functionality. The conclusion refers to the usefulness of mobile applications for developing business strategy in some areas of business.

The conditions of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic means of mobile radio service have been analyzed. The stagesof such analysis are outlined and a list of measures to be taken at each stage is given. The types of scenarios (paired, group) of interfering radio electronic means of mobile radio service are described. The technical specifications of the radiocommunication service equipment and antennas, which providea statement of validation of the electromagnetic compatibility of the radiocommunication electronic means radiocommunication, are provided. An algorithm for determining the electromagnetic environment is proposed and recommendations for providing electromagnetic compatibility are offered.
Analizie poddane są warunki zapewnienia kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej środków radioelektronicznych mobilnych usług radiowych. Przedstawione zostają etapy takich analiz oraz podana jest lista środków do realizacji na każdym etapie. Opisane są rodzaje scenariuszy (parami, grupami) interferujących środków radioelektronicznych mobilnych środków radiowych. Podane zostają techniczne specyfikacje sprzętu usług radiokomunikacyjnych oraz anten, które przedstawiają oświadczenie o ważności kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej elektronicznych środków radiokomunikacji. Sugerowany jest algorytm dla określenia środowiska elektromagnetycznego oraz przedstawione zostają zalecenia dla świadczenia kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej.

Shipment size is unavailable and important in AIS-based trade volume estimates. A method of shipment size estimates based on AIS (Automatic Identification System) data and BP neural network is proposed. The ship's length, width, designed draught, current draught and deadweight ton are input parameters, the actual shipment size of the ship is output value, and the BP neural network is trained to estimate the actual shipment size of the iron ore carriers. Then, the AIS data is used to calculate the iron ore trade volume in 2018. Compared with customs data, the annual error of import volume of China is less than 0.5%. The result shows that the proposed method is accurate and practical.

The article concerns integration and disambiguation of data related to the maritime domain. A developed system is described, which collects and merges data about several maritime-related entities (vessels, vessel types, ports, companies etc.) retrieved from different internet sources and feeds the data into a single database. This process is however not trivial. There are few challenges, which need to be faced to successfully conduct it. Firstly, in different sources, entities may be referenced to in different ways, for example, by using different text strings. Additionally, some of these references may be ambiguous, i.e. potentially the reference may point to more than one entity. To enable efficient analysis of data coming from different sources, such ambiguities must be resolved automatically as a preprocessing step, before the data is uploaded to the database and utilized in further computations. The aim of the disambiguation process is to assign artificial, unique identifiers to each entity and then, if possible, automatically assign these identifiers to each data item related to a given entity. In the article, developed methods for resolving such ambiguities are discussed and their evaluation is presented.

The present paper provides an overview of the current state and future trends of the offshore sector worldwide, as well as the relationship between the oil and gas (O&G) and the wind power industry offshore. Study on the offshore energy transition basis on review of literature, reports, and outlooks of main energy agencies, classification societies, and main offshore companies - their pathways and ambitions. A comparative analysis of the oil prices to their extraction at sea. Analysis of new build and scrapped drilling units, and their utilization. This is followed by correlation analysis between the emergence of new projects in O&G and wind farms offshore. The new and cheaper technology, and ambitions to reduce greenhouse (GHG) emission to zero levels, favor renewable. The results disclose that the main O&G companies start investing in renewable technologies. The offshore energy transition has already begun and accelerating. Nevertheless, full transition will take a while, as the global power demand is still too high to be covered only by a renewable source of energy. The number of annual O&G assets decommissioning is double in size compared to the new projects, and Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) utilization average of 60%. Offshore wind develops dynamically, and the forecasts show that this trend stands at the same high level to cross a number 100 GW produced from offshore wind globally in 2025, but there is a visible lack of Mobile Offshore Wind Power Service Operations Units (MOWU). If well planned there is room for mutual benefits between O&G and wind within the offshore sector due to re-orientation measures.

INTRODUCTION: The specificity of work in the emergency medical service requires making quick and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic decisions on the spot. To this end, a variety of educational materials proves to be helpful. This study describes the role of mobile applications used on a daily basis by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team. MATERIAL AND METHODS: We conducted a survey in 2018 among EMS workers using an on-line questionnaire. The surveyed group consisted of 91 people (paramedics, nurses and doctors). We expressed the results of our research in the form of arithmetic mean and mean standard errors. We also used the Chi-square test for independence and considered results significant at the p < 0.05 level. RESULTS: Mobile applications are used by 96.7% of respondents (n=88), regardless of gender (x2=0.184; p=0.668), occupation (x2=1.163; p=0.559) or length of service (x2=7.449; p=0.114). The vast majority (92.3%; n=84) consider them necessary in everyday work. Applications for smartphones are most often used (91.2%; n=83), especially in the field of pharmacotherapy. The majority of study participants (68.1%) indicate the need for new graphic mobile applications, especially in the field of paediatric patient management. CONCLUSIONS: The majority of EMS workers nowadays use teaching aids in their daily practice and use is not dependent on sociodemographic factors. Respondents most often use smartphone applications that incorporate pharmacotherapy. Further work on making mobile applications available is desirable.
WSTĘP: Specyfika pracy w pogotowiu ratunkowym wymaga podejmowania na miejscu zdarzenia szybkich i trafnych decyzji diagnostyczno-terapeutycznych. W tym celu pomoce okazują się różnorodne materiały edukacyjne. Przeprowadzone badanie ukazuje rolę aplikacji mobilnych stosowanych na co dzień przez personel medyczny zespołów ratunkowych. MATERIAŁ I METODY: Badanie zostało przeprowadzone w 2018 roku wśród pracowników pogotowia ratunkowego, za pomocą kwestionariusza on-line. Grupę badaną stanowiło 91 osób (ratowników medycznych, pielęgniarek i lekarzy). Wyniki badań własnych zostały wyrażone w postaci średnich arytmetycznych i średnich błędów standardowych. Do analizy wyników statystycznych posłużono się testem niezależności Chi2. Wszystkie wyniki uznano za istotne przy p < 0,05. WYNIKI: Z pomocy dydaktycznych korzysta 96,7% respondentów (n=88), niezależnie od płci (x2=0,184; p=0,668), wykonywanego zawodu (x2=1,163; p=0,559), czy stażu pracy (x2=7,449; p=0,114). Zdecydowana większość (92,3%; n=84) uważa je za niezbędne w codziennej pracy. Najczęściej wykorzystywane są aplikacje na smartfona (91,2%; n=83), szczególnie w zakresie farmakoterapii. Większość uczestników badania (68,1%) wykazuje zapotrzebowanie na powstanie nowych środków dydaktycznych, zwłaszcza z zakresu postępowania z pacjentem pediatrycznym. WNIOSKI: Pomoce dydaktyczne są współcześnie używane wśród większości pracowników pogotowia ratunkowego. Użytkowanie pomocy dydaktycznych nie jest zależne od czynników socjodemograficznych. Badani najczęściej korzystają z aplikacji na smartfona, obejmujących tematykę farmakoterapii. Pożądane są dalsze prace nad udostępnianiem aplikacji mobilnych.

The MANET networks are of prime interest for military networks. One of the proeminent routing protocols for MANET is OLSR, and indeed, OLSR has been used in many evaluations and experiments of MANETs. As OLSR is on its way to standardization, there are still a number of extensions that are useful and sometimes necessary for practical use of OLSR networks: such extensions are quality of service support, security, and OSPF interconnection. In this paper, we present the architecture, design, specifications and implementations that we made to integrate these features in a military test-bed. This test-bed is a real MANET comprising 18 nodes. These nodes communicate by radio and use the IEEE 802.11b MAC protocol. The OLSR routing protocol updates the routing table used by the IP protocol to forward packets.

Mobile systems, by nature, have finite resources. Radio spectrum is limited, expensive and shared between many users and services. Mobile broadband networks must support multiple applications of voice, video and data on a single IP-based infrastructure. These converged services each have unique traffic holding and quality requirements. A positive user experience must be obtained through efficient partitioning of the available wireless network resources. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has developed a comprehensive Quality of Service (QoS) parameter to address this problem. The regular control of service quality is critical for operators to ensure user Quality of Experience (QoE), establish new business models and monetize services. It enables operators to employ fair-use resource policies and maintain network performance during peak traffic times. Wireless mobile communication is tending towards an integrated system of Internet and telecommunication technologies, where mobile users move freely anytime and everywhere. They desire to communicate with any device using the best service available. In this paper QoS management issues in mobile communication are described. The authors present an insight into subscriber behavior and related factors that affect the QoE of mobile data services.

Path planning plays a vital role in a mobile robot navi‐ gation system. It essentially generates the shortest tra‐ versable path between two given points. There are many path planning algorithms that have been proposed by re‐ searchers all over the world; however, there is very little work focussing on path planning for a service environ‐ ment. The general assumption is that either the environ‐ ment is fully known or unknown. Both cases would not be suitable for a service environment. A fully known en‐ vironment will restrict further expansion in terms of the number of navigation points and an unknown environ‐ ment would give an inefficient path. Unlike other envi‐ ronments, service environments have certain factors to be considered, like user‐friendliness, repeatability, sca‐ lability, and portability, which are very essential for a service robot. In this paper, a simple, efficient, robust, and environment‐independent path planning algorithm for an indoor mobile service robot is presented. Initially, the robot is trained to navigate to all the possible desti‐ nations sequentially with a minimal user interface, which will ensure that the robot knows partial paths in the en‐ vironment. With the trained data, the path planning al‐ gorithm maps all the logical paths between all the des‐ tinations, which helps in autonomous navigation. The al‐ gorithm is implemented and tested using a 2D simulator Player/Stage. The proposed system is tested with two dif‐ ferent service environment layouts and proved to have features like scalability, trainability, accuracy, and repe‐ atability. The algorithm is compared with various classi‐ cal path planning algorithms and the results show that the proposed path planning algorithm is on par with the other algorithms in terms of accuracy and efficient path generation.

In this paper the quality aspects of bitrate and loudness in digital broadcasting and webcasting systems are examined. The authors discuss a survey concerning user preferences related with processing and managing audio content. The coding efficiency of a popular audio format is analyzed in the context of storing media. An objective study on a representative group of signal samples, as well as a subjective study of the perceived quality of real-time broadcasted and webcasted radio programs are performed.
