Opis:: Between March and August 2022, the National Museum in Lublin mounted the first in Poland exhibition of the Polish painter Tamara Lempicka. The number of public who visited it reached 86,667, which made it an event of the highest turn-out in Poland. An attempt to analyse the wonder of Lempicka’s communication success, the unwavering interest in her personality and art, has been made by the Author. This effort was helped through reaching the current carriers of her brand, namely contemporary fashion designers, authors of adverts, films, or literature pieces. The Author analysed the results of the research conducted during the Exhibition, amounting to 1,544 surveys in total. The study’s purpose was to verify public’s satisfaction, locations visitors had come from, source of information on the Exhibition, efficiency of the Museum’s communication endeavours, and the public’s profile. The visitors considered the following to have been the Exhibition’s strongest points (by order of preference); exhibits, topic, layout, narrative, curator’s concept, and the design. Interestingly, when the Exhibition was open to the public and the advertising and informing campaign was being implemented, the administrators of social media observed a significant increase in the number of visitors, The Facebook profile witnessed the increase by 54.8 per cent versus the previous five months, while the Instagram account’s visits grew by as many as 202.6 per cent. Furthermore, also the campaign promoting the event was analysed; it was not limited either to the Internet or external advertising, but was also conducted at the venue where the Exhibition was held. The power of social media was efficiently used and consciously managed by the Exhibition organizers, which substantially contributed to popularizing the project.

Opis:: The state is not able to control all the information flows and channels of obtaining information by ordinary citizens. Opis:: Die heutige Welt, die von den digitalen Medien dominiert wird, übt auch einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf die zwischenmenschliche Kommunikation aus. Die digitalisierte Welt bietet nämlich einem mehr Möglichkeiten als die analoge Welt. Diese fördern die Entstehung von neuen Formaten und neuen Textsorten, in denen die technischen Errungenschaften ihre Anwendung finden. Ob die in den digitalisierten Medien vorkommenden Formate als neue Textsorten oder nur als eine weitere Entwicklungsstufe der schon bekannten Textsorten angesehen werden können, gilt es im Beitrag zu überprüfen. Anhand der Publikation von Anna Hanus und Dorota Kaczmarek: „Sekretne życie gatunków. Komunikacja w przestrzeni medialnej – perspektywa germanistyczna“, die 2022 im Verlag ATUT erschienen ist, werden folgende Textsorte diskutiert: Online-Rezensionen der literarischen Werke, Blogs, Video-Tutorials, Kochportale und Wikipedia. Die von den Autorinnen des Werkes durchgeführte Analyse ist kontrastiv angelegt. Die Untersuchung betrifft die für die Textlinguistik relevante Frage nach dem ontologischen Status der erwähnten Formen. Anhand der umfangreichen Korpora werden die charakteristischen Merkmale der genannten Formate untersucht und vergleichend zusammengestellt. Die Analyse hat in jeder Hinsicht Modell- und Mustercharakter und die von den Autorinnen eingesetzte Methodik kann auch auf andere Textsorten und Korpora übertragen werden. Daher eignet sich die Publikation für Analysen im Bereich der Text-, Pragma- und Medienlinguistik.
Today‘s world, dominated by digital media, also exerts a significant influence on interpersonal communication. Indeed, the digitized world offers one more possibilities than the analog world. These encourage the emergence of new formats and new types of texts in which the technical achievements find their application. Whether the formats occurring in the digitalized media can be regarded as new text types or only as a further development stage of the already known text types is to be examined in the contribution. On the basis of the publication by Anna Hanus and Dorota Kaczmarek: “Sekretne życie gatunków. Komunikacja w przestrzeni medialnej – perspektywa germanistyczna”, published by ATUT in 2022, the following types of texts are discussed: online reviews of literary works, blogs, video tutorials, cooking portals and Wikipedia. The analysis carried out by the authors of the work is contrastive. The investigation concerns the question of the ontological status of the mentioned forms, which is relevant for text linguistics. On the base of the extensive corpora, the characteristic features of the mentioned formats are investigated and comparatively compiled. The analysis has model and exemplary character in every respect, and the methodology employed by the authors can be applied to other text types and corpora. Therefore, the publication is suitable for analyses in the field of textlinguistics, pragmalinguistics and media linguistics.

Opis:: В статье представлены предварительные комментарии, объясняющие популярность феминитивов, и аргументация, касающаяся причин появления новых форм в русском языке. В русскоязычном медийном пространстве функционирует ограниченное количество лексических единиц, которые активно используются и критикуются коммуникантами. Новоявленные модели феминитивов репрезентируют женщин, деятельность которых связана с масс-медиа, сферой искусств, образованием. Отсутствуют профессионализмы, относящиеся к рабочим специальностям, успешно освоенным женщинами. Непродуктивность морфологических трансформаций новых лексем является результатом использования небольшого числа приемлемых суффиксов, находящихся в распоряжении участников дискурса. Феминитивы новой волны, как средство борьбы участников феминистического движения и действенных представителей блогосферы за русскоязычное медийное пространство, указывают не только на присущность субъекта к определенной профессиональной деятельности, но и участвуют в маркировании гендерной принадлежности человека. Фактором, тормозящим процесс распространения феминитивов в различных медиаконтентах, является нарушение системности в языке, например, влияние акцентологических правил русского языка на создание новых лексических вариантов активными участниками феминистских движений были заложены концептуальные рамки, позволяющие использовать лимитированное количество возможных моделей феминитивов.
The article presents preliminary comments explaining the popularity of feminitives, and arguments regarding the reasons for the emergence of new forms in the Russian. In the Russian-language media space there is a limited number of lexical units that are actively used and criticized by communicants. Newly emerged models of feminitives represent women whose activities are related to the media, the arts, and education. There are no professional qualifications related to working specialties successfully mastered by women. The unproductiveness of morphological transformations of new lexemes is the result of the use of a small number of acceptable suffixes at the disposal of discourse participants. Feminitives of the new wave, as a means of struggle by participants in the feminist movement and active representatives of the blogosphere for the Russian-language media space, indicate not only the subject’s affinity for a certain professional activity, but also participate in marking a person’s gender. A factor slowing down the process of dissemination of feminitives in various media contents is a violation of consistency in the language, for example, the influence of accentological rules of the Russian on the creation of new lexical variants. Active participants in feminist movements laid down a conceptual framework that allows the use of a limited number of possible models of feminitives.

Opis:: Zasadniczo nauki humanistyczne różnią się od przyrodniczych tym, że przedmiotu ich badań nie można ująć w sposób matematyczny. W dobie cyfryzacji ta granica nie jest już tak sztywna, tym bardziej kiedy przedmiotem badań niniejszego artykułu są proporcje między bezpośrednią interaktywną komunikacją interpersonalną (face to face) a interaktywną komunikacją pośrednią za pomocą nowoczesnych technologii komunikacyjnych (online) oraz ich wpływ na człowieka i rodzinę we współczesnej przestrzeni medialnej. Matematyka, pomimo swego zamkniętego charakteru, wyznacza nowe kierunki myślenia, gwarantując przy tym pewną logiczność, a następnie możliwość weryfikacji za pomocą badań, jak ma to miejsce np. w socjologii. Punktem wyjścia, a jednocześnie podstawą do sformułowania wniosków i odpowiedzi na postawione pytanie badawcze jest w tym artykule matematyczna fala sinusoidalna. Umożliwia ona spojrzenie na człowieka w przestrzeni medialnej ostatnich dekad i w dobie COVID 19 oraz pozwala sformułować postulaty na przyszłość.
The basic difference between humanities and the natural sciences lies in the fact that humanities’ research subjects cannot be presented in mathematical formulas. In the digitization era, the division line is no longer so distinct, particularly in the light of this article’s research subject. The paper examines the proportions between direct interpersonal (face to face) communication and communication based on modern communication (online) technologies and the impact of the latter on people and families existing in the contemporary media space. Mathematics, despite its closed nature, sets new directions of thinking and guarantees certain logic. As a result, mathematics offers the verification possibility employing research, as is the case of sociology, for instance. A mathematical sine wave is the starting point and, at the same time, the basis for conclusions and answers in this paper to the research question, making it possible to look at a person in the media space of recent decades, in the COVID 19 era and thus allows to formulate future postulates.

Opis:: Media elektroniczne stały się we współczesnym świecie ważnym filarem procesu edukacji i wychowania młodego pokolenia. Świat wirtualny stanowi bardzo ważną przestrzeń życiową i jednocześnie socjalizacyjno-wychowawczą dzieci i młodzieży. Również wsparcie procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego przez nowoczesne technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne jest już dość mocno zaawansowane i wciąż przybiera coraz to nowe formy oraz daje nowe, nieograniczone możliwości. Nie należy jednak zapominać, że korzystanie przestrzeni wirtualnej przez młodego człowieka obarczone jest także dość obszernym katalogiem zagrożeń i niebezpieczeństw. Dlatego też niezwykle ważne są refleksje nad specyfiką procesu wychowania i kształcenia wspieranego przez internet i komputer. Za bardzo istotne z pedagogicznego punktu widzenia uznaje się edukowanie młodych użytkowników mass mediów w zakresie racjonalnego korzystania z możliwości przez nie oferowanych. Ogromną rolę w działaniach tych pełni właściwie zorganizowana i systematycznie prowadzona edukacja medialna.
Electronic media has become an important pillar of the education and upbringing process of the young generation in the modern world. The virtual world is a very important living space and, at the same time, a space for the socialization and educational of children and adolescents. The augmentation of the didactic and educational process by modern information and communication technologies is already quite advanced and continues to take new forms, offering new, unlimited possibilities. However, it should not be forgotten that the use of virtual space by a young person is also burdened with a fairly extensive catalogue of threats and dangers. Therefore, it is extremely important to reflect on the specificity of the education process that may be supported through the use of the Internet and computers. It is considered extremely important from the pedagogical point of view to educate young users in the rational use of the opportunities offered by the mass media. Properly organized and systematically conducted media education plays a huge role in these activities.

Opis:: The paper presents an example of the categorization of architectural objects and assessment of the characteristics of urban space, based on the analysis of specific features of architectural objects and urban landscape. The conducted analysis refers to media architecture and is presented in the complex context of the development of media solutions. The field of influence of IT on architecture is also stressed, both on the architect’s work and the image of the city, including with regard to smart city strategies. A gradual simplification approach was proposed for a targeted analysis. Data on media architecture were collected and, on their basis, significant features of each architectural object and its surrounding space were identified. The qualification of representative categories of media solutions was made based on the function of the object and the role of the media architecture object in the visual structure of the space, indicating the method of determining the degree of legibility of the space for a given category. The proposed process of categorization is a starting point in the discussion about the need and opportunities to use computational methods and databases supporting the assessment of the architectural typologies and characteristics of space, in reference to urban development.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest prezentacja wstępnych badań empirycznych dotyczących obecności parafii we współczesnej przestrzeni wirtualnej. Determinizm technologiczny, definiowany współcześnie jako znaczący wpływ technologii i rozwoju technologicznego na rozwój społeczny, jest w niektórych kręgach naukowych uznawany za dominującą instrukcję wyjaśniającą rewolucję cyfrową i relatywnie szybką absorpcję nowych mediów przez szerokie masy społeczne. Dodatkowo trwającaod 2020 roku pandemia wirusa SARS-CoV-2 jeszcze mocniej zaakcentowała potrzebę wykorzystywania mediów i technologii w codziennym życiu wspólnot parafialnych. W artykule zaprezentowano badania przeprowadzone na grupie 214 respondentów obejmujące problematykę funkcjonowania wspólnot parafialnych w przestrzeni wirtualnej i oceny działań przez respondentów.
The aim of the article is to present preliminary empirical research on the presence of parishes in contemporary virtual space. Technological development, the visual estimation of which is the social dimension of the Internet, has changed the perception and modified the rituals of everyday life. Technological determinism, defined today as a significant impact of technology and technological development on social development, is in some scientific circles considered the dominant instruction explaining the digital revolution and the relatively quick absorption of new media by wide social masses. In addition, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic since 2020 has further emphasized the need to use media and technology in the daily life of parish communities. The article presents research carried out on a group of 214 respondents, covering the issues of the functioning of parish communities in the virtual space and the assessment of activities by respondents.

What happens when the music production processes and spaces of a traditionally live art form such as opera are digitized? What is the relationship between community and isolation for artists when their workspace is lifted from the theatre-with its interpersonal connections-and placed in the virtual world? What opportunities and what risks does this pose for performers? Are there parallels to other art forms that developed or expanded as the result of new media technologies? This article will explore these issues by considering the production processes of the animated YouTube opera/movie Todd and the Vampire, composed and created by Ronen Shai, with contributions by musicians and visual artists working simultaneously, but independently, around the world. How does this piece utilize technology to challenge and transcend traditional notions of space and identity? What are the implications of this somewhat disembodied process for performers, audiences, and for the art form itself?

Opis:: Artykuł dotyczy problematyki internetu jako przestrzeni porozumiewania międzyludzkiego. Wśród determinant globalnej sieci, głównie w ujęciu funkcjonalnym, istotne są ścisłe powiązania z dotychczasowymi formami komunikacji, które występują i współwystępują wewnątrz internetu, a w ostatniej fazie powracają do początkowych postaci. Temu spostrzeżeniu służy oparcie na opozycji pojęć pierwotnej oralności i wtórnej oralności, które są definiowane między innymi przez elektronikę – główny czynnik modyfikacji (cyber)przestrzeni.
The article focuses on the problem of Internet as a space for interpersonal communication. Among the determinants of the global network, mainly in functional terms, close links with existing forms of communication that occur and co-occur inside the Internet, and in the last phase they return to their original characters, are important. This observation is based on the opposition of the concepts of primary orality and secondary orality, which are defined by, among others electronics – the main factor of (cyber)space modification.

Opis:: Ukrainian-Polish relations have been rather controversial in terms of historical policy lately, and it has a negative impact on interstate relations. On the one hand, in the foreign policy discourse Poland is considered to be one of the leading advocates of Ukraine in the collective West, along with Lithuania, and on the other hand problems of historical and humanitarian character permanently arise in bilateral relations, which form a negative background, become a subject to manipulation by third countries, and exacerbate relations both at the interpersonal and inter-institutional communication levels. The additional factor that complicates the understanding of historical policy issues is media of both countries, where the old and new myths, elements of post-truth and emotional subjective evaluations of the non-professional level penetrate beyond the historical corporate society. Populist politicians of the left and right ideological flanks try to take advantage of it, but it becomes an obstacle to political understanding, and complicates the investment development of a large subregion of the countries of Central, Southeastern Europe and the Baltic States. Historical policy has become a part of an information security, and some third countries, in our case it’s the Russian Federation, use this factor during the implementation of hybrid war tasks against Ukraine and the countries of the European Union. The article assumes that only the change of political rhetoric, the avoidance of populism regarding historical relations of two neighboring nations, the strengthening of corporate responsibility of national media in matters of historical policy’s coverage are able to neutralize the influence of radical political trends inside the countries, and outside - the influence of other states which are not interested in overcoming the tragic plume of history in Poland and Ukraine. Authors of the article do not aim to study or compare purely historical positions. This is about media tools and their role in the historical policy discourse.
Stosunki ukraińsko-polskie charakteryzują ostatnio kontrowersje dotyczące polityki historycznej, co odbiło się negatywnie na stosunkach między obydwoma krajami. Z jednej strony w dyskursie o polityce zagranicznej Polska uznawana jest za jednego z czołowych orędowników Ukrainy na Zachodzie – obok Litwy, z drugiej zaś w stosunkach dwustronnych stale pojawiają się problemy o charakterze historyczno-humanitarnym tworzące negatywną atmosferę i podlegające manipulacji ze strony państw trzecich, zaostrzając stosunki zarówno na poziomie komunikacji międzyludzkiej, jak i międzyinstytucjonalnej. Dodatkowym czynnikiem utrudniającym zrozumienie kwestii polityki historycznej są media w obu krajach, gdzie stare i nowe mity, elementy postprawdy oraz emocjonalne, subiektywne oceny dokonywane przez nieprofesjonalistów mają większy wpływ niż podejście historyków. Próbują to wykorzystać populistyczni politycy z lewicowej i prawicowej flanki ideologicznej, ale kwestie te stają się także przeszkodą w porozumieniu politycznym i komplikują inwestycje i rozwój dużego subregionu krajów Europy Środkowej i Południowo-Wschodniej oraz krajów bałtyckich. Polityka historyczna stała się częścią bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego, a niektóre państwa trzecie, w tym przypadku Federacja Rosyjska, wykorzystały ten czynnik w trakcie wojny hybrydowej przeciwko Ukrainie i krajom Unii Europejskiej. W artykule przedstawiono założenie, że jedynie zmiana retoryki politycznej, a mianowicie uniknięcie populizmu w odniesieniu do relacji historycznych dwóch sąsiadujących ze sobą narodów, wraz ze wzmocnieniem odpowiedzialności korporacyjnej mediów krajowych w kwestiach polityki historycznej, jest w stanie zneutralizować wpływ radykalnych tendencji politycznych zarówno w obu krajach jak i na zewnątrz – zwłaszcza wpływ innych państw, które nie są zainteresowane uporaniem się przez Polskę i Ukrainę z tragicznymi wydarzeniami w historii obu krajów. Celem autorów artykułu nie jest badanie ani porównywanie stanowisk o charakterze czysto historycznym. Chodzi o narzędzia medialne i ich rolę w dyskursie polityki historycznej.
