The article introduces new results of the genealogy research into Marina Cvetaeva’s family, particularly of its Polish line that can be traced back to the poet’s grandmother Maria Bernacka (Mayn). The approximate life periods of the poet’s Polish ancestors such as: grand grandmother Marianna Leduchovska and grand grandfather Luka Bernatsky, as well as grand grand grandfather Stanislav Leduchovsky and grand grand grandmother Elzhbeta Hoffman till the dynasty’s legendary founder Nestor Halka Leduchovsky count Shalava (Salava) (who was lived in the middle of the 15th century) have been set. The second part of the article draws the readers’ attention to some great Polish characters who provided the inspiration for Cvetaeva’s poems, e.g. the pretender for the Russian throne called Dymitri the Impostor, Marina Mnishek, Isabella Chartorysky and the poet’s grandmother. Besides her poetic inspirations this part of the article is also focused on the process of creating and rethinking the conception of characters, that took place in her poetic mind after sometime. The analysis of the poetical pieces is supplemented with commentary and some remarks, taken from the poet’s memories and essays as well as some other sources.

Feature of oeuvre of Marina Tsvetaeva – the predominance of the motive of death. Henry Gorchakov discovers this topic in sixty percent of the poet’s works of M.Tsvetaeva. Naturally, reflections on death are accompanied by reflections on life. The article analyzes the peculiarities of development of Tsvetaeva’s work of another constant motive – the motive of life, the concept of which is found out in a complex metaphysical context of thinking. Particular attention is paid to the diversity of approaches to understanding life and their changes. At the same time, the poet does not develop his own philosophy of life, focusing on the world of experiences, on the one hand, or on a holistic and volatile reality, on the other.

In their complex interactions of desire, guilt, evocations of blood sacrifice, and an impulse towards death, these plays may offer a possibility of transcendence.

The thesis of my paper is that art participatory practices in public space have a paradoxical potential to avoid a paradigm of visibility. What I call the paradigm of visibility is a formula of social presence of art which is based on a necessity of occupying a certain physical or symbolical space and an effort to sustain it. This kind of public presence of art is traditionally considered to be a guarantee of its value in terms of both artistic and social legitimisation. A question arises if this formula has an alternative. It seems that participatory art practices in public space – focused on production of objects and searching for social impact and social efficacy – can formulate a different model of presence of art (of its production and distribution) than object-based art.

The article introduces the Russian pedagogue Marina Aromshtam, whose contribution to modern, post-Soviet pedagogy gives her a special significance in contemporary science. Her activity at school has been illustrated by examples of two outstanding works Like a Diary. Teachers’ Stories and When Angels  Rest. The writer’s detailed biography helps to show in detail a number of changes and innovations which, thanks to her numerous articles and books, have influenced many people. Importantly, it has revived the practice of family reading, strongly involved parents in the education of their children, and has disseminated knowledge about the world among readers large and small. As a strong woman, she made significant changes in contemporary pedagogy and became a true patron of children’s education.

Cvetaeva was always intrugued with her Polish roots. She had no chance of meeting her mother’s moher so she used her poetic imagination to create her grandmother’s portrait in her poetry. Personal characteristics such as: extraordinary beauty, pride, self-restraint rebellious facial expression or secret of life are fund in Polish female characters in Her works (e.g. princess Izabela Czartoryska, Marina Mnishek). Mnishek is the most complex and controversial personality. Out of contrariness so typical of Cvetaeva, while creating the Mnishek’s image the poetess focused on positive characteristics and opposed stereotypes connected with this character, which always characterised artistic expression of the poetess. Another feature of her poetry was identification with her female characters and creation of imaginary, usually ideal life attitudes.

Development of nautical tourism in Montenegro, seen as a potentially profitable industry segment has started twenty years ago. The first steps taken in this direction were defining the legal framework, in particular: Law on Coastal Zone, Tourism Master Plan of Montenegro, Law on Yachts, followed by establishment of supporting organizations - Maritime Safety Department of Montenegro, Port Authorities and Border Police Department. Having invested efforts in adoption of planning documents and enactment of legislation relating to nautical tourism in recent period, Montenegro is seeking to impose itself as an important nautical destination. The first serious step towards achieving this goal was construction of a world-class marina Porto Montenegro in Tivat in 2010. The Special Purpose Spatial Plan for Coastal Zone provides for development of network of marinas to be constructed on the Montenegrin Coast. In the light of this, contribution of this paper is reflected in application of multi-criteria optimization in defining an optimum order of marina construction. The paper defines selection of criterion functions from the aspects of ecology, economy, security, specific aspect and aspect of suitability assessment for the location. The paper also presents the process of defining different criterion weights. The multi-criteria analysis determines a compromise solution for marina planning at Montenegrin Coast, which reconciles conflicting interests. The compromise solution is only a proposal, while a final decision remains with a decision maker.

В настоящей статье представлен системный анализ мотива водыв творчестве Марины Цветаевой. Исследовательской задачей является попытка проследить, каким образом конкретная и простая лексема «вода» участвует в смыслопорождающем поэтическом процессе, доказать особое значение этого мотива какважного признака творческого мышления, миросозерцания и творческой индивиду альности в целом. В статье на обширном материале (около 630 примеров), взятом из поэтических и прозаических текстов, рассматриваются основные значения мотива воды и их функциональные особенности в индивидуально-авторской картине мира М. Цветаевой. Вода, не утрачивая природной конкретности, становится одним из важных инструментов метафоризации процессов и явлений не только физического, но и духовного мира поэта.
This article is devoted to the analysis of the motif of water in the works of Marina Tsvetaeva. The main goal is to trace how the concrete and simple lexeme “water” participates in the meaning-generating poetic process, and to prove the specialsignificance of this motif as an important sign of her creative thinking, worldview and creative personality in general. The article uses extensive material (about 630 examples) taken from poetic and prose texts to consider the main meanings of the motif of water and its functional features in the individual author’s viewpoint. Water, without losing itsnatural concreteness, becomes one of the important tools for metaphorizing the processes and phenomena of not only the physical, but also the spiritual world of the poet.

The two complete terracotta oil lamps published in this paper come from salvage excavations in by an Egyptian team clearing House 21 in the ancient Graeco-Roman harbor of Marina el-Alamein on the northern coast of Egypt. Both are of Alexandrian manufacture, one of the two being an imitation of an Italic relief lamp. One is decorated with a representation of Sarapis enthroned, the other with a scene of roosters fighting. Both are from the 2nd–3rd century and reflect the Alexandrian cultural tradition in the life of this ancient town.

W artykule są rozpatrywane dwa różne obrazy Maryny Mniszek u Puszkina i Cwietajewej, zarówno te odtworzone w utworach, jak i w umysłach (wyobraźni) tych wielkich poetów. Obraz Maryny Puszkina jako ideału kobiecego piękna i wytwornych manier powstał pod wpływem ówczesnego stereotypu polskiej szlachcianki, a także osobistych kontaktów poety z Polkami z jego otoczenia. Wizerunek Cwietajewej przedstawiający Mniszek w sposób osobisty, a zatem pełen sprzeczności – powstał jako skrzyżowany z własnym losem poetki. 
В статье рассмотрены два разных образа Марины Мнишек – воссозданных в художественных произведениях Пушкина и Цветаевой, а также существовавших – судя по автобиографическим и мемуарным источникам – в сознании этих великих творцов. Образ пушкинской Марины – идеала женской красота и манер – сформировался под воздействием уже сложившегося тогда стереотипа польской шляхтянки и личных впечатлений поэта о женщинах-польках из его окружения. Образ Мнишек у Цветаевой – личностный, а оттого противоречивый – скрещенный с собственной судьбой поэтессы.
Despite the constant feuds between Poland and Russia, Russian men have always appreciated the beauty of a Polish woman, and they are featured in Russian literature. Therefore, it is not surprising that Alexandr Pushkin turned his attention to a woman who played an ambiguous role in the history of Russia. This woman was Marina Mnishek. Besides the fact that she became one of the main characters of the drama Boris Godunov, for the great Russian poet she was a symbol of female beauty, which allows us to learn the letters of the poet. Marina Tsvetaeva was in love with the image of Marina Mniszek. However, she explained this by the fact that she turned out to be the namesake of a famous Polish woman, and even an admixture of Polish blood in her pedigree.

Home and its attributes as designata of the homeland in Tsvetaeva’s poetry occur in various pictures. These are among other things: home-reminiscence and home-dream. The first case con- cerns Russia before emigration. The second home is a metaphor of the return. The existence in exile, involving the fact of physical and spiritual alienation, entails the way of perceiving oneself. Tsvetaeva believed in the possibility of finding the way home, but it never arose.

Once again, the study covered the role of road transport in combination with air, sea and rail transport and shared zones for pedestrians and vehicles. Two diverse ports located in Portugal have been chosen, first Marina de Albufeira and second Cascais Marina. Due to their specifics, the ports address the issues concerning traffic connections in a completely different way. The summary highlights and identifies the key features, pointed out by users, considered as advantageous or disadvantageous for selected European marinas from the point of view of transport and architectural and urban design solutions. Transport connections including car traffic, sea-lanes, rail traffic, pedestrian communication are presented in the paper. Network of communication connection in Marina de Albufeira and Cascais Marina is subject of the paper. The paper covered the role of road transport in combination with air, sea, rail transport and shared zones for pedestrians and vehicles.

The author presents Marina Tsvetaeva’s musical and synaesthetic space on the basis of My Mother and Music, her autobiographical essay. Synaesthesia, although present in the life of Tsvetaeva as a young child and adult poet, is not especially depict-ed in this particular piece of work. The writer chose her memories which encompass a significant period of time from her birth to her 42nd birthday as her main narrative focus. The musical sphere of the young child was presented through the piano and its attributes (the keyboard, pedals, music stand, metronome, notes, piano stool), which were a source of various – both positive and negative – experiences for this sensitive girl. Marina Tsvetaeva’s mother, unfulfilled as a pianist, undoubtedly played a toxic role in her musical education. Maria Tsvetaeva “drowned and killed her daughters with music”, making them feel an organic resistance towards required physical and mental efforts far too great for their age. The situation changed after her mother’s death when Marina could pour all her love for music into incredibly original lyric poetry, becoming one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.

This article discusses the poetics of appropriation of historical and literary material as a way of the reevaluation of the past proposed by M. Tsvetaeva. In the poet’s consciousness, the coexistence and comparison of different times and historical parallels are inevitably linked to her presence and, at the same time, the material employed by Tsvetaeva does not only show any reality, but it recreates reality according to her own vision of this particular material. Tsvetaeva accentuates the primacy of created reality over historical existence. One part of Tsvetaeva’s play Fortuna presents the transformation of the real love story between Izabela Chartoryska and duke Lauzan into a literary history, and finally the process of the disappearance of this story in her real life. ‘Disappearance’ of Lauzan’s image leads the poet in her life and Tsvetaeva becomes engaged with Lauzan by a very idiomatic relationship.

Основой исследования послужила теория и метод воспитания Макаренко, представленные в Педагогической поэме и Лекциях о воспитании детей, которые были сопоставлены с методами воспитания в современных российских школах на примере педагогической деятельности Марины Аромштам (род. 1960), описанной в произведении Как дневник. Рассказы учительницы. Основные методы, которые Макаренко ввел в свою систему коллективного воспитания, часто используются современными педагогами. В своей работе с детьми он руководствовался, прежде всего, их благополучием, большое значение придавал индивидуальному развитию личности, а также воспитанию с участием родителей. Сравнительный анализ показал, что отвергнутые и раскритикованные макаренковские методы все еще присутствует при создании новейших педагогических систем, поскольку формирующийся с 90-х гг. инновационный педагогический метод воспитания Марины Аромштам тесно связан с педагогическим наследием Макаренко.
This article is devoted to the main principles of the Russian pedagogical system of Anton Makarenko (1888–1939) and their implementation in Russian pedagogy a few decades later. The research is based on the theory and methods of education presented in Makarenko’s The Pedagogical Poem and Lectures on the Education of Children, which were compared with the methods of education in modern Russian schools, using the example of the pedagogical activity of Marina Aromshtam (born 1960), described in the work As a Diary. Stories of the Teacher. The basic principles that Makarenko introduced into his system of collective education are often used by modern teachers. In his work with children, he was guided primarily by their well-being and attached great importance to the individual development of the individual as well as education with the participation of parents. A comparative analysis has shown that Makarenko’s rejected and criticized methods are still present in the creation of the latest pedagogical systems, since the innovative pedagogical method of education of Marina Aromshtam, which has been developed since the 90s, is closely connected with the pedagogical legacy of Makarenko.

Marinas are extremely complex urban solutions that incorporate all the necessary communication routes in its structure. The role of transport in selected European marinas can vary depending on location and conditions of an area. The study covered the role of transport in combination with air, sea, rail transport and shared zones for pedestrians and vehicles in Royan Marina (France) and Brighton Marina Village (Great Britain). The summary highlights and identifies the key features, pointed out by users, considered as advantageous or disadvantageous for selected European marinas from the point of view of transport and architectural and urban design solutions. Transport connections including car traffic, sea-lanes, rail traffic, pedestrian communication are presented in the paper. Network of communication connection in Royan Marin and Brighton Marina Village is subject of the paper. The paper covered the role of road transport in combination with air, sea, rail transport and shared zones for pedestrians and vehicles.

This article is a comparative analysis of Marina Carr’s Ariel (2002) and John Millington Synge’s Riders to the Sea. The main research context comes from common critical treatments of Carr’s oeuvre within the scope of Synge’s influences. The plays discussed in this essay have not been subject to comparative studies before (to the best of the author’s knowledge). The main argument consists in examining the loci of invariance and their transformations with reference to themes, characters’ roles, and their relationships, which will be compared in terms of notions of necessity, generational suffering, reliance on the worldly, and death in the unknown realm, partly treated within existentialism.
Celem artykułu jest dokonanie analizy sztuki Ariel Mariny Carr i Riders to the Sea Johna Millingtona Synge’a. Twórczość Carr często traktowana jest jako kontynuacja dramaturgii Synge’a i utwory tej irlandzkiej dramatopisarki są analizowane w odniesieniu do dramatów Synge’a. Porównanie Ariel i Riders to the Sea wydaje się jednak tematem, który wciąż warto podejmować i wykazywać aspekty niezmienności i ich transformacji. Omówione porównania dotyczą takich motywów, jak: konieczność, pokoleniowe cierpienie, poleganie na doczesności oraz śmierć w nieznanej przestrzeni. Zostaną one częściowo potraktowane w swoim ogólnym odniesieniu do egzystencjalizmu.

The main purpose of the article is to present issues of staff training for the purposes of marina management. Particular attention was paid to training as a way to improve and develop marina employees. The problem was presented using the example of specialized training for marina employees and operators. It was prepared according to a training process – a procedure based on selected research techniques such as CAWI, nominal and interactive groups. Analysis of the entire training process presented in the article allowed for the formulation of conclusions. It was shown that there is a need to organize training courses for marina staff covering various thematic blocks in the training program consistent with the current situation and trends observed in nautical tourism.
Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zagadnienia kształcenia kadr na potrzeby portów jachtowych. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na szkolenia jako sposób na doskonalenie i rozwój pracowników portów jachtowych. Problem zaprezentowano na przykładzie specjalistycznego kursu dla pracowników i operatorów marin. Został on przygotowany według procesu szkolenia – procedury opartej na wybranych technikach badawczych, takich jak CAWI, grupa nominalna i interaktywna. Analiza całego procesu szkolenia przedstawionego w artykule pozwoliła na sformułowanie wniosków. Wykazano, że występuje zapotrzebowanie na kursy doszkalające pracowników portów jachtowych, uwzględniające w programie kształcenia różne bloki tematyczne. Jednakże muszą one być zgodne z aktualną sytuacją i trendami obserwowanymi w turystyce żeglarskiej.

The increasing salinity of water in reservoirs is caused by climate change. On the other hand, an increase in salinity promotes the group species, halophytes that tolerate or need NaCl for growth. The aim of this study was to identify the response of facultative halophytes’ photosynthetic apparatus efficiency (PE) to water salinity. The study covered the spiny water nymph (Najas marina L.) population in four mining subsidence reservoirs. Najas marina is a facultative halophyte which means that it can occur in both fresh and salt water. This plant has the characteristics of the species invasive, such as rapid biomass growth, and wide ecological tolerance. Water salinity, described by conductivity, in the reservoirs ranged from 646 to 3061 μS∙cm -1. PE was expressed in terms of chlorophyll a fluorescence parameters, which were collected in situ using a Pocket PEA device. Water parameters using a YSI ProDSS probe were identified. Data analysis was performed using OJIP test and s the non-parametric Spearman’s rank test (p ≤ 0.05). The relationship between chlorophyll a fluorescence parameters and water parameters showed that conductivity, salinity, water clarity, and nitrate content statistically significantly affected PE (p <0.05). Generally, the higher salinity e.g. more than 3000 μS∙m -1, supports PE of facultative halophyte at the stage of optimum development in the vegetation season.

It is difficult to form a coherent conception of Marina Tsvetaeva’s considerations about the body, as sometimes they contradict each other and sometimes they complement each other. However, they were changing as new experiences were accumulated. From the idea that the body is like a wall or an obstacle in the way, Tsvetaeva moves to the idea of the body as a separate zone of her personality, where freedom and democracy go along with subjection, and where the rigorous part of the personality – soul is to be subdued. When the poet starts to lose contact with the body, when she becomes convinced that she no longer can identify with it, she experiences a stormy passion in which she hopes to complete her own incarnation. However, she comes to the conclusion that the nature of her body is flawed and the signs of gender are not proper. She consciously resigns from love, claiming that love and creativity cannot be reconciled. Her body bothers her, it seems to cast a veil on the true reality, which is invisible and “by which one thinks”. After another period of her soul and body disassociation, she comes to the conclusion that she did not know her body at all.

In 2014 and 2015, the Polish–Egyptian Conservation Mission to Marina el-Alamein undertook research, conservation and presentation of the area north of the central square of the ancient town. A major landmark in this part of the city are the public baths from the Hellenistic period, discovered in 1987. The work was focused on the main chambers of the bath: the central tholos with relics of hip-bathtubs, the neighboring room with an immersion bathtub, and a set of rooms in the southern area of the complex.

This paper presents the last few days in the life of Marina Tsvetaeva spent in Yelabuga, which eventually led the writer to commit suicide. The notes included in the diary of her son, Georgy Efron, are an important and original source of knowledge on Tsvetaeva’s mental and physical state. The 16-year-old boy’s reaction to the death of his mother may come as a surprise if a broader social and biographical context (a migrant and remigrant biography of the poetess and her teenage son as well as the reality of the Stalinist country, where – contrary to the assurances made by the propaganda – there was no safe haven for people returning from post-Revolution exile) is not taken into consideration.

The article offers the publication of a bronze ring discovered during the archaeological work on the site of Marina el-Alamein, located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea c. 100 kilometres west of Alexandria. The ring dated to the second century CE on contextual and formal grounds carries the acclamation 'Great is the name of Sarapis' in Greek inscribed on its bezel. The acclamation stems from the religious atmosphere of the times, which, in the quest for the divine, ascribed a sort of superiority to some gods of the polytheistic system. The ring contributes to the picture of religious beliefs and practices of the ancient inhabitants of an anonymous settlement hidden under the site of Marina el-Alamein.

House H10 was one of the buildings located in a Hellenistic-Roman city at the Marina el-Alamein site in Egypt, whose relics were the first to be discovered. Successive research, conducted since 1997 along with initial conservation work, has provided a comprehensive overview. The house is one of the largest and most extensive of this site. Its spatial design is a showcase for the technology typical of houses from Marina. The house is embedded in both Greco-Hellenic and Roman traditions. It is an oikos house with a courtyard with two columned porticoes situated symmetrically on either side parallel to the main axis. A third, perpendicular portico, complementing the layout of the incomplete peristyle, is imitated by the architectural decoration of the courtyard elevation, organised by semi-columns. The layout includes two main rooms located opposite each other on two sides of the peristyle. The house was rebuilt several times, which made for a complicated layout. The studies conducted have cast light on domestic religious practice and the distinctive character of the architectural and artistic interior design, including exceptional examples of figural painting. The architecture and décor of the house document the changes occurring at the intersection of Hellenistic and Roman traditions.

A Roman bath in use from the 2nd to the 4th century AD at the harbor of Marina el-Alamein on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt continued to be researched, conserved and prepared for exhibition by the Polish–Egyptian Conservation Mission working under the auspices of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Architecture, Wrocław University of Technology. The bath and adjacent civic basilica were located in the center of the ancient town, to the south of the ruins of the main square. By updating results of research carried out in previous seasons, the present studies on the caldarium and frigidarium of the bath and a part of the civic basilica have brought us significantly closer to identifying the functional layout of the southern baths. Phases of construction were investigated as well and it is now possible to trace the transformation of the building over time.

Earthquake-related damage has been observed in the architectural substance recorded at the archaeological site of Marina el-Alamein on the northwestern coast of Egypt, reflecting seismic events with more widespread impact known from both written and archaeological sources in the immediate vicinity and farther out. Recent investigations in the ancient town, focused on a district in the northwestern part of the site, have uncovered more evidence of potential earthquake-related destruction in a small public bathhouse (H.39) and a building of still unspecified function (H.40) located further to the east. Apart from obvious wall cracking and floor decomposition, as well as evidence of violent fires (attributed at least in one case to the second half of the 2nd century AD), the author has also observed differences in wall construction techniques, possibly chronologically discrete, that could be explained by a desire on the part of the ancient builders to protect buildings against the effects of seismic shockwaves.

Opis:
Remains of a Graeco-Roman town on the Egyptian Mediterranean coast were discovered in 1980s during the construction of a tourist resort. At the beginning, excavation work was especially intense at a necropolis area, which after restoration became a site icon. Due to a wide variety of unearthed mortuary monuments numerous information about the town itself, its habitants, and funeral traditions were obtained. Although, those structures were frequently discussed, there is still a lot to be studied. That paper is focused on a question, if the hypogeum could have served as a quarry for its funders? For that purpose a building process was reconstructed and ancient quarrying and mason techniques were discussed. Basing on those, it was possible to estimate the quantity of stone material sourced during the execution of the underground part, while an architectural reconstruction allowed to assess a demand for stone ashlars used aboveground.

House H10 was one of the buildings located in a Hellenistic-Roman city at the Marina el-Alamein site in Egypt, whose relics were the first to be discovered. Successive research, conducted since 1997 along with initial conservation work, has provided a comprehensive overview. The house is one of the largest and most extensive of this site. Its spatial design is a showcase for the technology typical of houses from Marina. The house is embedded in both Greco-Hellenic and Roman traditions. It is an oikos house with a courtyard with two columned porticoes situated symmetrically on either side parallel to the main axis. A third, perpendicular portico, complementing the layout of the incomplete peristyle, is imitated by the architectural decoration of the courtyard elevation, organised by semi-columns. The layout includes two main rooms located opposite each other on two sides of the peristyle. The house was rebuilt several times, which made for a complicated layout. The studies conducted have cast light on domestic religious practice and the distinctive character of the architectural and artistic interior design, including exceptional examples of figural painting. The architecture and décor of the house document the changes occurring at the intersection of Hellenistic and Roman traditions.

Studies on the relics of the Hellenistic-Roman town at the site of Marina el-Alamein in Egypt have been carried out since 1986. House H9 was one of the first buildings to be excavated, investigated, and preserved through conservation. Successive research has supplemented the previous studies. The house is one of the largest and earliest features at the site. In the context of Marina, it is more firmly embedded in the Greek-Hellenistic tradition, yet also refers to Roman solutions. It is a house of the oikos type, featuring a courtyard with two porticoes situated asymmetrically perpendicular to each other. Elements referring to the Greek systems of prostas and pastas can be discerned in the layout. The research focused on domestic cult as well as elements and character of the decor, including painted interior decoration. Architecture and home furnishings document civilisational changes at the cultural touchpoint between the Greek and Roman traditions.

Près de l’église paroissiale de St. Pierre e t St. Paul à Kuéerov (distrikt de Vyskov en Moravie) il y a la pierre tombale de Marina, fille de Christophe Herfert de Racibórz, enterrée d’après l’épitaphe le 17 août 1608. En même temps, son enterrement est immatriculé à la dite paroisse. Sur la pierre tombale, il y a un relief d’une petite fille âgée de 5—6 ans, vêtue d’un costume Renaissance. L’épitaphe sur la pierre tombale est à peu près illisible et devait être restaurée (voir dessin). A part de cette restauration, le problème essentiel de ce travail consiste en la recherche des circonstances qui avaient amené cette jeune fille de Racibórz de la Silésie en Moravie. D’après les matériaux rassemblés, il s ’agissait peut- être des relations avec une famille de petits nobles d’origine 'polonaise ou avec Filip Orchites, curé de ce temps-là à Kuéerov qui avait été lié intimement à la Silésie.

Opis:
The development of yacht harbours in Wrocław is a significant element of European transport policy, linked to maintaining mobility with minimal environmental impact. The increasing popularity of recreational navigation and the development of a port infrastructure reflect societal awareness and new expectations related to leisure. The Oder, the second longest river in Poland, serves as a navigable route, and the Wrocław Water Node constitutes a unique 45 km-long system. The research aimed to present Wrocław's spatial policy regarding yacht ports and marinas. The analysis of the major ports highlights the diversity of their condition while maintaining their port functions within local plans. Planned investments include new moorings, marinas, parking spaces, restaurants, green areas, and tourist infrastructure. These ports were also analysed based on Wrocław's ownership structure. The study employed various methods, including literature analysis, primary documents, legal acts, cartographic materials, field research, and in-depth interviews.
Zagospodarowanie portów jachtowych we Wrocławiu stanowi istotny element europejskiej polityki transportowej związanej z utrzymaniem mobilności przy minimalnym wpływie na środowisko. Trend rosnącej popularności żeglugi rekreacyjnej i rozwijania infrastruktury portowej odzwierciedla świadomość społeczną oraz nowe oczekiwania związane z wypoczynkiem. Odra, będąca drugą co do długości rzeką w Polsce, pełni funkcję żeglownego szlaku, a Wrocławski Węzeł Wodny stanowi unikalny system o długości 45 km. Celem badania jest przedstawienie polityki przestrzennej Wrocławia w odniesieniu do portów jachtowych i marin. Analiza głównych portów uwydatniła różnorodność ich stanu przy jednoczesnym utrzymaniu funkcji portowej w ramach planów miejscowych. Planowane inwestycje obejmują m.in. nowe przystanie, mariny, miejsca postojowe, restauracje, obszary zielone oraz infrastrukturę turystyczną. Porty te są także poddawane analizie ze względu na strukturę własnościową Wrocławia. W badaniu wykorzystano różnorodne metody, w tym analizę literatury, dokumentów źródłowych, aktów prawnych, materiałów kartograficznych, badania terenowe oraz wywiad pogłębiony.

W latach 2004-2005 w ramach badań projektowych przy współpracy władz miasta Świnoujścia, Institut für Landschaftsplanung Technische Universität w Berlinie sporządził analizy oraz wykonał szereg prac badawczo-projektowych mających na celu osiągnięcie wspólnej i najtrafniejszej koncepcji funkcjonalno-przestrzennego projektu zagospodarowania dla Basenu Północnego. Zwyciężyła koncepcja zagospodarowania terenu i jego zaplecza infrastrukturalnego ukierunkowana na rekreację, w tym obsługę jachtową.
Between 2004 and 2005, as a part of the research project in collaboration with the authorities of the City of Świnoujście, Institut für Land-schaftsplanung Institut für Technische Universität in Berlin has drawn up analysis and carried out a number of research and development projects aimed at achieving common and the most exact concept of functional and spatial development plan for North Port. Winner was the concept of land development and infrastructural facilities focused on recreation, including marina services.

Tromba marina, instrument wywodzący się z monochordu, znany od czasów średniowiecza, podobnie jak wiele innych, nie znalazł swojego trwałego miejsca w muzyce profesjonalnej. W niniejszym artykule zwraca się uwagę na pewien „epizod”, który stał się udziałem tego specyficznego chordofonu, a któremu z literaturze muzykologicznej nie poświęcono dostatecznej uwagi.Instrument ten miał swoje pięć minut w muzyce francuskiej około połowy XVII wieku. W 1660 Lully wykorzystał trombae marinae w w ustepach baletowych opery Cavallego Xerxes, wystawionej z okazji ślubu Ludwika XIV z Marią Teresą Habsburg, zaś w 1661 roku na dworze Króla Słońce powołano zespół składający się pięciu z muzyków grających na krumhornach i trombae marinae. Dlatego prawdopodobnie Molierowski Monsieur Jourdain na kartach  „Mieszczanina szlachcicem” wyraził pragnienie dołączenia interesującego nas instrumentu do zespołu grającego na organizowanym w jego domu przyjęciu.Jedynym znanym z nazwiska wirtuozem tego instrumentu był Jean Baptiste Prin (ok. 1699-1742), który sporządził zachowany do dzisiaj zbiór 216 utworów na tromba marina oraz napisał w roku swojej śmierci traktat Memoire sur la trompette marine, w którym wyraził żal, że ukochany instrument „umiera” wraz z nim.Spośród wielu różnych nazw, jakie nadawano temu kuriozalnemu instrumentowi (tuba marina, tuba maritima, Trumscheit, Marientrompette), najpóźniejsze historycznie, bo pochodzące dopiero z XIX wieku, są nazwy wskazujące na używanie go przez zakonnice. Są to trzy określenia w języku niemieckim bazujące na złożeniach Nonne- (zakonnica) z dodaną nazwą instrumentu lub określeniem jego funkcji w zespole: Nonnengeige, Nonnentrompette, Nonnenbas. Ich istnienie dowodziłoby, iż na niemieckim obszarze językowym jeszcze w tym stuleciu zakonnice posługiwały się w swojej praktyce muzycznej interesującym nas instrumentem.Cecil Adkins i Alis Dickonson, autorzy monografii poświęconej historii, budowie i zachowanym egzemplarzom tromba marina, a także związanej z tym instrumentem praktyce wykonawczej i repertuarowi, wskazali 29 ośrodków zakonnych (w tym 26 klasztorów żeńskich), w których kultywowano grę na Nonnengeige, konstatując iż była to specjalność zakonnic (w mniejszym stopniu zakonników)  z Europy Środkowej. Do wymienionych przez tych autorów  ośrodków, dzięki najnowszym badaniom  jesteśmy w stanie obecnie dodać kolejne: klasztor  augustianek  św. Jakuba auf der Hülben w Wiedniu oraz serwitek w  Insbruku oraz trzy kolejne klasztory w niemieckojęzycznej części Szwajcarii. Co więcej, możemy  także poszerzyć geograficzny obszar występowania w klasztorach praktyki gry na tromba marina w kierunku północno wschodnim. Mamy bowiem dowody kultywowania jej w klasztorach benedyktynek z Sandomierza i Lwowa oraz klarysek ze Starego Sącza, a także w bursie jezuickiej w Krakowie. Dodatkowo można przypuszczać, iż instrumenty takie posiadał także klasztor cystersów w Obrze.W klasztornej praktyce muzycznej instrument mógł pełnić cztery różne funkcje: być wykorzystywany w praktyce śpiewu chorałowego, co jest najsłabiej udokumentowane, służyć jako instrument fundamentalny realizujący wraz z organami basso continuo lub jako substytut trąbek w obsadach wokalno-instrumentalnych, ponadto zespół złożony w trzech lub czterech trombae marinae z towarzyszeniem kotłów mógł wykonywać fanfary.Jeśli chodzi o obszar dawnej Rzeczypospolitej, najwięcej informacji na temat kultywowania gry na tromba marina pochodzi z Sandomierza, gdzie grające na tym instrumencie zakonnice są nam znane z nazwiska i gdzie zachowały się rękopisy poświadczające tę zapomnianą praktykę.The Forgotten Instrument and Forgotten Practice. Tromba marina in Music-Making in Monasteries in the 18th Century SUMMARYTromba marina(trumpet marine) – the instrument originated from the monochord and known from the Middle Ages – was not widely used in professional music. That special chordophone had, however, its day in French music about the mid-seventeenth century. In 1660 Jean Baptiste Lully used trombae marinae in ballet sections of Francesco Cavalli’s opera Xerxes, and in 1661, at the court of Louis XIV a group of fi ve musicians was formed, who played crumhorns and trombae marinae. The only virtuoso of this instrument, known by name, was Jean Baptiste Prin (ca. 1699-1742), who made a collection of 216 pieces for trumpet marine (tromba marina).Out of the many names of the instrument (tuba marina, tuba maritima, Trumscheit, Marientrompette), the historically latest names are the nineteenth-century ones showing that it was used by nuns. There are three names in German, based on the compounds Nonne (nun) with the name of the instrument or with designation of its function in a musical group: Nonnengeige, Nonnentrompette, and Nonnenbas, which would prove that nuns still played the trombae marinae in the German-speaking area as late as in the nineteenth century.Cecil Adkins and Alis Dickinson, the authors of the monograph devoted to tromba marina, listed 29 monastic centers (of which 26 were nuns’ convents), in which the playing of Nonnengeige was cultivated, and come to the conclusion that in the eighteenth century this was the specialty of Central European nuns. We can add some more names to those recorded by the two authors: the St. Jakob Augustinian nunnery in Vienna, the Servite Nunnery in Innsbruck, and three convents in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Furthermore, we can also broaden the geographical range of the practice of playing tromba marina towards North-East because we have evidence that it was cultivated in the convents of Benedictine nuns of Sandomierz and Lvov, the convent of St. Clare in Stary Sącz, as well as in the Jesuit chapel in Krakow.The instrument in question exercised different functions in the performing practice in monasteries: it was used in the practice of chorale singing, it served as a fundamental instrument in the basso continuo section, it appeared as a substitute for trumpets in the vocal-instrumental forces, fi nally – as part of a group consisting of three or four trombae marinae and kettledrums, it played fanfares.

Opis:
In relation to the current development of the sailing, modernization and development of yacht ports and marinas are necessary. The preparations process, stages of the design, analyses and finally construction of yacht ports is time-consuming and laborious. In the article a statistical analysis of selected design parameters was described. In order to carry out the analysis a database was created based on 210 ports from different regions of the world such as: Europe, North America, Australia and South Asia. Google Earth was used to obtain the actual values of the analyzed parameters. Most of achieved results was described in the form of tables or graphs.
W związku z bieżącym rozwojem żeglarstwa, konieczna jest modernizacja oraz rozwój portów jachtowych i marin jachtowych. Proces przygotowania, etapy projektowania, analizy i wreszcie budowa portów jachtowych jest czasochłonna oraz pracochłonna. W artykule opisano statystyczną analizę wybranych parametrów projektowych. W celu przeprowadzenia analizy stworzono bazę danych opartą na 210 portach z różnych regionów świata, np: Europa, Ameryka Północna, Australia i Azja Południowa. Do uzyskania rzeczywistych wartości analizowanych parametrów wykorzystano Google Earth. Większość uzyskanych wyników została opisana w formie tabel lub wykresów.

The connection between video art and performance art has been inseparable since 1967, when the first commercial camera Sony Portapak appeared on the American market. The development of video art and performance art has been parallel. On the one hand, autonomous languages which used different discourses were created, on the other hand, the interaction was inextricable, long-lasting and very stimulating. Marina Abramović, recording her activities as a performer on video and then placing them in the space of her installations, gained a high level of energy in the picture, which became transcendent, a sign of body and life, a meditation. Abramović consciously sacralizes her art and highlights its meditational character. In that way the art became a loop of a video sequence, a multifaceted icon.

In the 2012 and 2013 seasons, the conservation program of the Polish–Egyptian Conservation Mission to Marina el-Alamein included conservation activities in selected rooms of the complex of Roman (southern) baths in the central part of the town and, in 2013, elements of the monumental tomb T21, as part of the general program for the preservation of its remains. In 2013, conservation of selected items, wall paintings in particular, from the stores was undertaken.

Celem artykułu jest pokazanie, jak zanikają ważne dotychczas funkcje małych polskich portów i przystani morskich. Dokonano tego poprzez analizę wielkości obrotów ładunkowych, liczby pasażerów międzynarodowych oraz pojemności brutto (GT) kutrów. Analiza obejmuje lata 1996-2018. Stwierdzono, że przy wzroście przeładunków w Gdańsku, Gdyni i Świnoujściu, spadają one w Szczecinie i małych portach. Międzynarodowy ruch pasażerski (po maksimum w latach 1997-2001 w niektórych z nich) jest obecnie na minimalnym poziomie. Także po przystąpieniu Polski do Unii Europejskiej znacznie spadła pojemność brutto (GT) floty kutrowej. Zatem ewidentnie widać, że polskie małe porty i przystanie morskie powinny szukać nowych funkcji, które w przyszłości być może staną się dla nich czynnikami rozwoju. Jedną z takich funkcji powinna stać się turystyka, w tym jachtowa.
The aim of the article is to show how the hitherto important functions of small Polish ports and marinas are disappearing. This was done by analyzing the volume of cargo turnover, the number of international passengers and the gross tonnage (GT) of cutters. The analysis covers the years 1996-2018. It was found that the transhipments increased in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Świnoujście while decrease was observed in Szczecin and small ports. International passenger traffic (after a peak in 1997-2001 in some of them) is currently at a minimal level. Also after Poland’s accession into the European Union, the gross tonnage (GT) of the cutter fleet significantly decreased. Therefore, it is evident that Polish small seaports and marinas should look for new functions that may become their development factors in the future. Tourism, including yacht tourism, should become one of such functions.

Marinas are of key importance in the development of sustainable marine tourism, whereas requirements posed by certification organizations can have a motivating effect and contribute to the implementation of environmentally and socially friendly solutions. The aim of this study is to analyze two world-leading marina categorization systems: the Gold Anchor Scheme and the IMCI Blue Star Marina Certification System. A special focus is made on the criteria relating to sustainable development, such as requirements concerning services, equipment, and management, posed to marinas by the accreditation bodies. The following research question has been defined: Do certification and categorization contribute to the development of sustainable sailing tourism? The results of the conducted analyses show that part of the requirements set by the accreditation organizations running two of the most popular marina categorization schemes worldwide relate to the achievement of sustainable development goals. The requirements motivate the management at marinas applying for a category to implement solutions that are friendly to the environment and society, and contribute to the growth of local economies. The research results indicate that the categorization of marinas is not only of some marketing value but is also a useful tool in the development of sustainable marine tourism.

Opis:
Arenicola marina (Linnaeus, 1758), a marine polychaete worm of the phylum Annelida is rarely seen but its coiled castings are a familiar sight on a beach at low tide of both northern and southern hemisphere. The genus Arenicola enjoys a wide distribution and in the tropical and sub-tropical regions A. cristata is the dominant species. Apart from a few records on the beaches of Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea the genus has not been known so far from any other part of India. In a study on the sandy as well as mudflats of Bay of Bengal at Chandipur in Odisha, India, we observed quite a big numbers of castings of Arenicola during the end of December, 2015 and accidentally found a full grown individual at the sandy beach. From that point of view it is the first report of its kind from this part of the globe, especially from Bay of Bengal, India.

The current study was intended to evaluate abortifacient and antioxidant activity of Avicennia marina leaves extracts. Abortifacient activity was evaluated in rats, compared with standard drug (Mifepristone) and antioxidant activity was evaluated by using three free radicals (Superoxide, Hydroxyl and DPPH) compared with Ascorbic acid. The extracts were showed pre implantation loss, post implantation loss of implantations and decreased the survival ration of foetuses. Among all extracts hydroalcoholic extract showed better activity. The selected plant extracts showed concentration dependent percentage inhibition of free radicals. Among three extracts hydroalcoholic extract showed better activity with IC50 values on superoxide, hydroxyl and DPPH radicals were 203μg, 237μg and 143μg. From the results obtained during the study it the hydroalcoholic extract was used for the isolation of pure compounds, and isolated the different compounds (β-sitosterol, Lupeol and Betulinic acid).

The article offers a reflection on the utility of postcolonial studies and transnational feminism for the analysis of women’s post-socialist experiences, with a special emphasis on Croatian academic and social space. After general considerations about the epistemological profile and etico-political agenda of transnational feminism – as illustrated by the results of the feminist seminar in Dubrovnik (2007–2015) – the author presents three theoretically most challenging feminist authors: Madina Tlostanova, Biljana Kašić and Marina Gržinić. Each of them in its own way demonstrates that theoretical voices from the “global South” are the most productive tool to oppose academic “global feminism” and to inspire “women’s struggles for sociopolitical justice, especially in colonial and neocolonial contexts” (Swarr, Nagar 2010: 4). The radical call for the decolonization of gender, human being and knowledge (Tlostanova 2013), the appreciation of woman’s public voices and counter-discourses (Kašić), and the critique of racialization in the production of knowledge (Gržinić 2015) are intertwined and linked to the final thesis about the importance of distinguishing the biopolitical form of women’s memory vs. the necropolitical formation of institutionalized history in post-socialist context.
