In many cases the quality of the products depends of the materials which were used to the production process. That's why many companies, which are carry out of the high quality of products, want to have good relations with their vendors. The organizations, which has implemented the quality management system according ISO 9001 standard are obligated to fulfillment the requirements according point 7.4 this standard . purchase process. The elaborating the right method of vendors assessment is the one of the most important tasks of continues improvement in the production company. In the article the analysis and improvement of vendor assessment process based on the example of production company was presented. This company produce the connection elements and cardboard packages. Its polish company which sells products on polish and European market. The analyze was made in the following steps: - the analyze of the actual method of vendors assessment, - the classification of the vendors according to the actual assessment criteria, - the analyze of vendors assessment points, - the identification of the drawbacks of the actual assessment method, - the proposals of the new possibilities (solutions) of the assessment, - the classification of the vendors according to the new assessment criteria, - the analyze of vendors assessment points according to the new method. This method can show the right directions of working in the company. This method can help to: - choose the right types of assessment criteria, - elaborate the points scale, - allocate the adequately importance of criteria, - choose and find the properly assessment method, - can help rightly interpretation of the assessment scores. Although the new method will help the company to identify the best vendors. This vendors will deliver the best quality materials with favorable price.

The study deals with strategic management of organisations in conformity with quality management system requirements. The aim of the paper is to point out factors with impact on strategic performance of organisations, taking into account strategic concepts of its management. The implementation of a quality management system is a strategic decision that can improve the organization's overall performance. Results of the questionnaire survey focused on identification of industrial enterprises readiness to implement the ISO 9001:2015 are presented in the paper. Survey was also focused on strategic management of the organisations. The survey results recovered implemented strategic tools for performance management in industrial enterprises in the Slovak Republic. There is also described further continued research focussed on correlation between the factors impacting performance of organizations and strategic management tool s in conformity with quality management system.

The changes brought about by the spread of COVID-19 require from entrepreneurs a new approach to the way they manage their businesses. Accounting offices are also facing a major challenge these days. In addition to the constant changes in tax regulations and the implementation of many new provisions concerning anti-crisis shields, the way of customer service in accounting offices has also changed as they had to adapt to the new reality. The aim of this article is to present the importance of improving the quality of accounting services in the pandemic era. The first part of the paper includes the scope of services and theoretical aspects of customer service in accounting offices in the era of SARS-CoV-2 as well as the characteristics of the concept of quality. Subsequently, the results of an anonymous survey conducted among entrepreneurs who are clients of accounting offices are presented, which contributed to the formulation of conclusions on the significance of customer service quality in accounting offices. The article highlights the significant changes in the way tasks are performed in accounting firms and financial departments. Among the modern methods of providing accounting services, two have been selected which (according to the respondents) will significantly effect on the service providing quality (in particular by limiting personal contact of contractors).

The interest of the customer, research of its satisfaction, usage of his opinion to determine the goals of the organization as well as the introduction of improvement activities has been a quite common activity nowadays. In that kind of approach, implemented quality management system (QMS) according to the requirements of the ISO 9000 series, support the organization, in which the key role is played by the customer and its needs. One of the simplest methods of assessing customer satisfaction is the analysis of complaints. Customers complaints communicate to the company important information that concerning problems encountered while using the product and with quality of services. In this way, it also give the organization the opportunity to undertake activities related to the fulfill the needs of unsatisfied customer as well as to improve functioning of the organization. Customers who file a complaints may become the most loyal clients of the company only if the organization can gain their trust. Information relating to consumer comments on the product should give the company an input element in the product and organization improvement process. Therefore, the complaint process should be an important tool used for customer relationship management in an enterprise. The aim of this study was to analyze the complaint process in organizations that had certified QMS in the past, according to the requirements of ISO 9001 and gave up its certification. There has been identified and examined a problem whether complaint is an important element only in organizations with implemented, functioning and certified QMS, or whether these processes are applied in organizations that, for various reasons, have not decided on its re-certification. Following this study by in-depth interviews with persons responsible for the operation of management systems can be stated that the analysis of complaints is carried out regardless of the certified quality management system. There has been applied a procedure for handling complaints in the surveyed organizations. The data is collected and complaints are analyzed using programs for customer relationship management, including CRM. According to respondents, the analysis of complaint is a very good tool that is used to improve products, processes and organizations. Surveyed companies take the actions to increase customer satisfaction, especially the by contacts with the organization. In their opinion a satisfied customer helps in creating the image of the company on the market. Tested organizations almost unanimously identified that an unhappy customer can spoil opinions on the market. Therefore, different measures are aimed at maintaining a disgruntled customer.

The aim of this article is to show the use of the analysis of the failure causes and effects as a prevention tool in controlling the quality of a given production process in the company. The scope of the work covers an analysis of a selected process, definition of inconsistencies present in this process, and then the FMEA analysis. In the production company one should implement thinking and actions based on the so-called ‘quality loop’ – it is an interdependence model of the undertaken actions which affect the quality shaping. It is carried out from the possibility for identifying a customer’s requirements through a project, production process, up to the assessment of effective capability for meeting the defined requirements. The application of such an approach enables to take the actions improving the operation of quality management in a systemic way.

Podano różnice i podobieństwa pomiędzy obiema metodami, a także opisano metodę Lean Six Sigma, będącą połączeniem najważniejszych zalet Lean Management i Six Sigma. Przedstawiono przypadki wdrożenia tej metody w przemyśle wydobywczym oraz przykładowe efekty finansowe. Branża górnicza jest miejscem, gdzie efekt synergii powstały z połączenia Lean i Six Sigma jest szczególnie wysoki.
The article characterizes currently most popular methods for improving production processes: Lean Management (Lean Production, Lean Manufacturing) and Six Sigma (6 Sigma, 6σ). It also presents the differences and similarities between the two methods. Subsequently paper describes Lean Six Sigma method, which is a combination of the most important advantages of Lean Management and Six Sigma. The implementation of this method in the mining industry and examples of financial results are reported. Mining industry is the area where the synergy effect created from the combination of Lean and Six Sigma is particularly high.

With reference to the current situation of national public hospitals, the article presents the possibility to implement the Lean Management concept in hospital management. Numerous common features connecting the management of commercial entities with the management of healthcare institutions are indicated. It has been stated that the management of contemporary organizations, regardless of the type of conducted operations, needs to focus on customer/patient satisfaction, financial liquidity and high quality. The purpose of the article is to assess the possibility to implement the Lean Management concept in hospitals. In particular, an attempt was made on the basis of a pilot survey to assess the introduction of the above concept in two selected hospitals. Critical analysis of the literature on the subject, the analysis of research results of other authors, casual interview, observation of practice as well as a survey based on the prepared questionnaire were used to achieve the purpose.

The article attempts to present the meaning of processes and managing them in the improvement of the quality management system and in the development of an organization. A connection between the improvement of processes and the improvement of the system of quality management was indicated. The processes were introduced as an element of an organizational potential which is not entirely exploited. Basing on the literature and the results of author’s own studies, the problems encountered while improving the processes in practice were presented. Recommendations for future actions were put forward to enable the organization to take full advantage of the opportunities lying in the improvement of processes.

Theoretical background: Quality management and medical service improvement in district hospitals enables to achieve a number of internal and external benefits. It is a long-term process of conscious transformation of the existing state into a desired and accepted one by the concerned stakeholders. The diagnosis of the medical service organizations’ performance is an important aspect in the context of building a hospital of the future which is focused on quality, development and improvement. Purpose of the article: The article reveals the positions of hospital managers (directors) on the current level of the quality management maturity service improvement of the medical facilities they manage. Research methods: A diagnostic survey was conducted using a paper questionnaire. The form was handed in person and filled in the presence of the author. This provided an inducement for analysis and conclusions. The study was performed in 2022. Main findings: The level of implementation of the quality management system (QMS) principles in the surveyed hospital organizations, despite the variability, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity of the environment, was evaluated at 3.39. This means that the practice of the QMS is widely established, but not in most areas. Therefore, the scope of the principles cannot be considered as complete. The result is different for the assessed maturity of quality excellence in the selected accreditation standards. The surveyed district hospitals evaluated their maturity level at 3.69. Thus, the respondents considered that the maturity level to be close to 70%. They identify the practice as typical (only some exceptions are deviations from it). The surveyed hospitals also have evidence of continuous improvement after at least one year. Another important aspect concerned maturity research in relation to innovation. The surveyed entities determined this parameter at the level of 3.50, which corresponds to approximately 66%. The highest level of maturity achieved the hospitals in the operational skills in conditions of disruption. They assessed the adaptation abilities and taken actions towards sustainable development at the level of 3.82 (72%). These results prove that the district hospitals in the Wielkopolska voivodeship take steps toward excellence, but their level of excellence in 2022 is not full (as it does not apply to 100% of occurrences, and the practice is also not implemented in entire hospitals, without exceptions).

Optimization of production processes and achieving the expected effects of their implementation is an important aspect in the current management of the company. The implementation of appropriate instruments in the field of optimization of quality processes certainly affects the improvement of production processes in enterprises from the automotive industry and increases their competitiveness. The purpose of this article is therefore to analyze the body and paint repair process in a selected company, including the tools and methods of its optimization.

Abstract Meeting quality characteristics of products and processes is an important issue for customer satisfaction and business competitiveness. It is necessary to integrate new techniques and tools that improve and complement traditional process variables analysis. This paper proposes a new methodological approach to analyze process quality control variables using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps. Application of the methodology in the production process of carbonated beverages allowed identifying process variables with the greatest influence on finished product quality. The process variables with the greatest impact on carbon dioxide content in the beverage were the beverage temperature in the filler, the carbo-cooler pressure, and the filler pressure.

Tekst kończy opis ograniczeń badania, wyznaczenie kierunków przyszłych analiz oraz wstępna ocena przydatności tej metody na gruncie krajowym.
In the article, the English Best Value system is described as one of the more effective frameworks for public services improvement. The authors present the system in the following way: they describe its genesis and its place in the New Public Management concept, discuss the assumptions regarding its application, including the definition of value, the strategies of its increase, and methodological aspects of its implementation. They also compile opinions on the effects of the Best Value regime, and conclude with a statement on the limitations of their research, a discussion of future directions of analysis, and an attempt to evaluate its usability in the Polish context.

Prototyp jest materializacją abstrakcyjnej idei, czyli pomysłu na innowację. Z ogromnej liczby powstających prototypów tylko część wchodzi do masowej produkcji, a nieliczne osiągają sukces rynkowy. Warto wspomnieć, że niektóre prototypy mogą być jednocześnie wyrobami przeznaczonymi do sprzedaży, bez konieczności wprowadzenia zmian i ulepszeń. Problemy i wyzwania jakie przysparza produkcja prototypów można, a nawet trzeba minimalizować. Poprawne zarządzanie procesem projektowania i produkcji prototypów może znacznie wpłynąć na jakość końcowego produktu oraz oszczędność czasu i pieniędzy.
A prototype is the materialization of an abstract idea or innovation concept. Within the huge number of prototypes that are created, only some enter mass production, and few achieve market success. It is worth mentioning that some prototypes can simultaneously be marketable products, without any changes or improvements. The problems and challenges posed by the production of prototypes can and even should be minimized. Correct management of the design and production process of prototypes can significantly affect the quality of the final product and save time and money.

In the article there were presented issues related to the improvement of the occupational health and safety (OHS) management system in a selected energy industry company. The research entity belongs to the leading producers of electricity and heat in Poland. In the paper there were analyzed data on accidents in the research period covering the years 2012-2017. There was also made a short description of the company's activities regarding internal health and safety inspections carried out periodically. Furthermore, there were analyzed the activities improving the occupational health and safety management system in a selected research entity. In the paper there were also presented the sizes and types of activities (projects), that were aimed at improving the health and safety area and included in the company's business strategy. On the basis of the data and the analyzes carried out, it was possible to make a comprehensive assessment of the health and safety management system of the company and to indicate that corrective actions are continuous.
