Created since 2004 in the center of Katowice, the “Art Gallery” is a collection of sculptural portraits of outstanding creators of culture associated with the city and the Upper Silesian region. It has the form of a linear monument supplemented every year with new sculptures of figures chosen by the inhabitants of the city and the region. It is a space of memory, but also a contemporary “didactic park”. It complements the nearby “Culture Zone”, also known as the Silesian Akropolis, created on the site of the former mine.

Zbadano obecny poziom rozwoju zielonej gospodarki w Gruzji i jej perspektywy. Zdecydowana większość współczesnych gospodarek charakteryzuje się marnowaniem zasobów naturalnych, a ekonomiczna wartość zasobów nie jest maksymalnie wykorzystywana. Taka gospodarka, oparta na wzroście zysku, nazywana jest prostą ekonomią opartą na maksymalnym zaspokojeniu dzisiejszych wymagań. Gospodarki liniowe (proste) mają ograniczone zasoby, które nie są skutecznie wykorzystywane, a duża ilość odpadów ma negatywny wpływ na środowisko. This work presents a study of the essence of the “green” economy and its importance for improving the well-being of people, its features in contrast to the traditional or “yellow” economy, investigated its relevance to the innovation economy, to the sustainable economic development, to the economic development, and to the economic growth. It’s investigated the current level of development of the green economy in Georgia and its prospects. The vast majority of modern economies are characterized by the waste of natural resources, the economic value of resources is not maximally used. Such an economy, that is based on the growth of profit, on the maximum satisfaction of today's demands is called a straightforward economy. The linear (straightforward) economies have limited resources that are not effectively used and a large number of waste has a negative impact on the environment. This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a robust modified repetitive-control system with a dynamic output feedback controller for a class of strictly proper plants. Employing the continuous lifting technique, a continuous-discrete two-dimensional (2D) model is built that accurately describes the features of repetitive control. The 2D control input contains the direct sum of the effects of control and learning, which allows us to adjust control and learning preferentially. The singular-value decomposition of the output matrix and Lyapunov stability theory are used to derive an asymptotic stability condition based on a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI). Two tuning parameters in the LMI manipulate the preferential adjustment of control and learning. A numerical example illustrates the tuning procedure and demonstrates the effectiveness of the method.

This paper presents a bi-objective portfolio model with the expected return as a performance measure and the expected worst-case return as a risk measure. The problems are formulated as a bi-objective linear program. Numerical examples based on 1000, 3500 and 4020 historical daily input data from the Warsaw Stock Exchange are presented and selected computational results are provided. The computational experiments prove that the proposed linear programming approach provides the decision maker with a simple tool for evaluating the relationship between the expected and the worst-case portfolio return.

Opis:
Linear logic is one of the logical systems with special properties suitable for describing real processes used in computer science. It enables one to specify dynamics, non determinism, consecutive processes and important resources as memory and time on syntactic level. Moreover, its deduction system enables one to verify specified properties. Constructing an appropriate model based on categories can serve for modeling various program systems in the wide spectrum of computer science. Mainly, propositional linear logic is used for these purposes. The expression power of linear logic significantly grows by extending propositional logic with predicates and quantifiers. Our paper concerns itself with defining predicate linear logic together with its deduction system and our main aim is to construct a categorical model of predicate linear logic as a symmetric monoidal closed category.

In this work, a class of neuro-computational classifiers are used for classification of fricative phonemes of Assamese language. Initially, a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) based classifier is used for classification. Later, another neuro fuzzy classifier is used for classification. We have used two different feature sets for the work, one using the specific acoustic-phonetic characteristics and another temporal attributes using linear prediction cepstral coefficients (LPCC) and a Self Organizing Map (SOM). Here, we present the experimental details and performance difference obtained by replacing the RNN based classifier with an adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) based block for both the feature sets to recognize Assamese fricative sounds.

Ground settlement during and after tunnelling using TBM results in varying dynamic and static load action on the geo-stratum. It is an undesirable effect of tunnel construction causing damage to the surface and subsurface infrastructure, safety risk, and increased construction cost and quality issues. Ground settlement can be influenced by several factors, like method of tunnelling, tunnel geometry, location of tunnelling machine, machine operational parameters, depth & its changes, and mileage of recording point from starting point. In this study, a description and evaluation of the performance of the artifcial neural network (ANN) was undertaken and a comparison with multiple linear regression (MLR) was carried out on ground settlement prediction. The performance of these models was evaluated using the coefficient of determination R2, root mean square error (RMSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). For ANN model, the R2, RMSE and MAPE were calculated as 0.9295, 4.2563 and 3.3372, respectively, while for MLR, the R2, RMSE and MAPE, were calculated as 0.5053, 11.2708, 6.3963 respectively. For ground settlement prediction, both ANN and MLR methods were able to predict significantly accurate results. It was further noted that the ANN performance was higher than that of the MLR.

Evaluation of efficiency for every DMU (Decision Making Unit) in a company is a very important issue. Thus, the studies of evaluation of efficiency are being actively carried out on the basis of production functions. Until now, loglinear production function (Cobb-Douglas model) has been used for evaluation. This loglinear model evaluates DMUs by measuring the average. Recently, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) has been applied as the available method involving, for example, the CCR (Charnes-Cooper-Rhodes) and BCC (Banker-Charnes-Cooper) models. However, the IDEA models do not have the lower limit on the production set, but only the upper limit. Since, however, we consider that the real problems have the production set extending from the lower limit to the upper limit, we propose the possibility production function obtained by introducing the fuzziness into the loglinear production function. As we try to evaluate the efficiency by this possibility production function we can obtain two efficiency ratings: for the upper and lower limits. Though both DEA and fuzzy loglinear model include all the DMU data, in the DEA approach we obtain the lower limit on inputs for the given output, while in the fuzzy loglinear approach we obtain the possibility maximum output for the given inputs. By making full use of the difference between the two approaches, we try to compare the DEA and the fuzzy loglinear model in the evaluation of efficiency of the DMUs. In terms of two efficiency ratings, fuzzy loglinear model can yield more exact ranking for every DMU than DEA. Genarally, when a DMU has efficiency less that 1 by fuzzy loglinear analysis, it means that there is a possibility of obtaining larger output for the given inputs.

In a real world situation, whenever ambiguity exists in the modeling of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs), interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFNs) are often used in order to represent a range of IFNs unstable from the most pessimistic evaluation to the most optimistic one. IVIFNs are a construction which helps us to avoid such a prohibitive complexity. This paper is focused on two types of arithmetic operations on interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFNs) to solve the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problem with pentagonal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (PIFNs) by assuming different α and β cut values in a comparative manner. The objective functions involved in the problem are ranked by the ratio ranking method and the problem is solved by the preemptive optimization method. An illustrative example with MATLAB outputs is presented in order to clarify the potential approach.

Tumbling NPA (non-principal axis) asteroids are discovered by the investigation of photometric data and asteroids lightcurves. A particular solution of Euler-Liouville equation was found for an elongated symmetrical body. It may be useful for investigations of dual periods of rotational motion NPA tumbling asteroids. Physical formula of the gravity force moment acting at a rigid body was derived. A numerical solution of the same accurate equation was found and compared with the analytical ones. A stable region of the numerical solution was investigated and numerical algorithms for fast variables were examined. Very long time period of the numerical solution of Euler- Liouville equation for the body in gravitational field was found.

The purpose of the research was to compare the logistics and logistic infrastructure development level in EU countries. To evaluate overall rank of each country in term of that traits, it was used eight variables which describes logistic characteristics. In this purpose, two of the multi-criteria models of decision making: a Multicriteria Optimization (VIKOR) and Compromise Solution and a Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) were applied and the results obtained by those two methods were compared. The results showed that VIKOR is more preferable method in comparison to TOPSIS methods and the countries where the logistic is developed the most according to the scores in created rankings are Germany, France and Poland.

We review main small area estimation methods for the estimation of general nonlinear parameters focusing on FGT family of poverty indicators introduced by Foster, Greer and Thorbecke (1984). In particular, we consider direct estimation, the Fay-Herriot area level model (Fay and Herriot, 1979), the method of Elbers, Lanjouw and Lanjouw (2003) used by the World Bank, the empirical Best/Bayes (EB) method of Molina and Rao (2010) and its extension, the Census EB, and finally the hierarchical Bayes proposal of Molina, Nandram and Rao (2014). We put ourselves in the point of view of a practitioner and discuss, as objectively as possible, the benefits and drawbacks of each method, illustrating some of them through simulation studies.

. In recent years the similarity of dosimetric characteristics of modern linear accelerators with the same make, model and nominal energy, has become more common. The goal of this study was to quantitatively investigate the reproducibility of the basic photon and electron dosimetry data from Neptun 10PC accelerators across the institutions. In the current study, the photon and electron dosimetry data collected during acceptance and initial commissioning of six Neptun 10PC linear accelerators are analyzed. The dates of original installations of these six machines were evenly spread out over a 5 year period and the series of measurements were conducted during an average of 1-2 months after original installations. All units had identical energies and beam modifiers. For photon beams, the collected data include depth dose data, output factors and beam profile data in water. For electron beams, in addition to depth dose data and output factors, the effective source skin distance for 10 × 10 cm field size is also presented. For most beam parameters the variation (one standard deviation), was less than 1.0% (less than 2% for 2 parameters). A variation of this magnitude is expected to be observed during annual calibration of well-maintained accelerators. In conclusion, this study is presenting a consistent set of data for Neptun 10PC linear accelerators. This consistency implies that for this model, a standard data set of basic photon and electron dosimetry could be established, as a guide for future commissioning, beam modeling and quality assurance purposes.
