Opis:
This paper presents how some communication problems between business and Technical Education System (TES) can be reduced. This comes to a misunderstanding of the needs of entrepreneurs for the knowledge and skills, in this paper treated as a resource on the market. The authors explain why debated issue falls in the area of corporate management. It identifies one of the reasons hindering the solution of problems. In order to clarify the issues it references the achievements of analytic philosophy of language and the theory of communication code. It proposed a method of facilitating the solution of the problem, which is being implemented since 2016 by the research team, co-created by the authors of this publication. The aim of the development of this publication is to supplement the theoretical and practical knowledge of management in manufacturing companies and others with high technical potential, where there is a large, growing and rapidly changing demand for knowledge and technical skills.

The paradox of enterprise management is the company must continually change in a dynamic and difficult-to-predict environment in order to achieve business continuity and profitability goals. The relatively low efficiency and awareness of the need for change at network organizations means the problems connecting with changes implementation, identification of conditions limiting their realizations and importance of final results are still significant. Coworking is a new type of work environment, supporting the productivity, creativity and innovation of employees. The ambiguity of the term and the variety of different research perspectives have led to terminological and methodological chaos. The aim of this paper is to structure the research area by presenting the coworking research from an organisational perspective. For this purpose, a critical review of literature on the subject was carried out.

Postępująca wirtualizacja gospodarki oraz rozwój mediów społecznościowych doprowadziły do zmian w środowisku pracy. W konsekwencji zmianie ulega model rozwoju kompetencji pracowników z centralnie zaplanowanego do zdecentralizowanego, charakteryzującego się samoorganizacją i dostosowanego do indywidualnych potrzeb jednostek. W artykule przedstawiono rozwój kompetencji pracowników w kontekście uczenia się na stanowisku pracy w warunkach nowej organizacji pracy i produkcji zwanej współkonfiguracją.
The progressing virtualization as well as the development of social media changed the traditional workplace. Consequently, the model of employee competency development is changing from the traditional top-down “command and control” approach, towards more “decentralized” approach that is self-organized and addresses the individual needs of each employee. The paper presents the development of employee competences within the context of the workplace learning resulting from a new work and production called co-configuration.

The development of virtual economy enabled new forms of collaborative work, such as co-configuration or knotworking based on knowledge and group learning. It includes geographically dispersed multiple producers and consumers collaborating in virtual networks to create intelligent products and services which are able to adapt to constantly changing customers’ needs over lengthy periods of time. The paper presents the basic characteristics of knowledge creation and learning processes as a result of this new form of work.

Due to the vast and rapid increase in the size of data, data mining has been an increasingly important tool for the purpose of knowledge discovery to prevent the presence of rich data but poor knowledge. In this context, machine learning can be seen as a powerful approach to achieve intelligent data mining. In practice, machine learning is also an intelligent approach for predictive modelling. Rule learning methods, a special type of machine learning methods, can be used to build a rule based system as a special type of expert systems for both knowledge discovery and predictive modelling. A rule based system may be represented through different structures. The techniques for representing rules are known as rule representation, which is significant for knowledge discovery in relation to the interpretability of the model, as well as for predictive modelling with regard to efficiency in predicting unseen instances. This paper justifies the significance of rule representation and presents several existing representation techniques. Two types of novel networked topologies for rule representation are developed against existing techniques. This paper also includes complexity analysis of the networked topologies in order to show their advantages comparing with the existing techniques in terms of model interpretability and computational efficiency.

Opis:
The aim is to develop an integrated design space for CAD of technological equipments. The model of the design environment is represented as a two-level hierarchical decision-making system. The proposed environment provides support for creating and manipulating 3D models of technological equipment and their components, calculating functional and structural properties and the evaluation criteria, and for determining the rules to control the design process for optimizing the portfolio of interdependent projects of technological equipments. As examples the design of workholder is considered. The computer aided workholder design system is created on Case Based Reasoning, in which the attributes of the workpiece and structure of workholder as case index code are designed for the retrieve of the similar cases, and the structure and hierarchical relation of case library are stored. The structure of case storage (database and knowledge base) for general workholders selected as an object for mining and sampling of the developed software are worked out. It is offered to apply a method of neural networks to realization procedure of forecasting of decisions. The considered algorithms of knowledge extraction are realized by development of invariant nucleus design space.

Aim. Research on older adults (≥ 60) repeatedly confirms that the use of social networks has a rather positive effect on these users. The indicated trend leads us to the research of older adults with a focus on their motivations and challenges when using social networking sites. Methods. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty-four older adults in Slovakia. The aim was to uncover the deeper processes and details that the members of the selected sample experience when using social networks. Results. The thematic analysis revealed a disproportion between low knowledge of social networks and willingness to use them in theresearch sample (Q1). While older adults rated their knowledge of social networks with a school grade of 4, they do not see this as an obstacle to their increasingly frequent use of social networks. Within the second research area (Q2), a set of seven motivations derived from the use of social networks among respondents were identified. Finally, four main challenges (Q3) were identified in the research. Conclusion. Research findings confirms not only older adults’ growing interest in using social networks, but also the need for adequate media education with a focus on ‘digital citizenship’, which emphasises both, skills and also knowledge. Cognitive value. When using social networks among older adults, their family members are the driving force behind respondents’ understanding (knowledge) and technological progress (practical skills). There is the necessity of advancement of digital competencies of older adults.

Ogólne regulacje zawarte w normie PN-EN ISO 14971 dostarczają wytwórcom wyrobów medycznych podstaw do konkretyzacji normy w postaci systemu oceny ryzyka dla konkretnego procesu i wyrobu. System ten jest zazwyczaj reprezentowany w postaci dokumentacji papierowej. Celem pracy było przekształcenie systemu oceny ryzyka do postaci modelu komputerowego. Opracowano metodykę budowy takiego modelu w technologii sieci bayesowskich. Technologia ta umożliwia funkcjonowanie modelu w trybie adaptacyjnej bazy wiedzy - tworzenie i uaktualnianie jej zawartości odbywa się poprzez interaktywny dialog z użytkownikiem a użytkowanie sprowadza się do zadawania pytań na których odpowiedzi generowane są za pomocą typowych dla sieci bayesowskich algorytmów inferencyjnych.
The general regulations contained in the standard PN-EN ISO 14971 provide to medical product manufacturers a basis for precise specificationin the form of risk assessment system for a particular process and product. This system is usually represented in the form of paper documentation. The aim of this study was to transform the system of risk assessment into a computer model. The method of that transformation involves translation the paper based system specificationto the form of bayesian network. This technology enables the model to function as adaptive knowledge base, where creation and adaptation of its content is going through an interactive dialogue with the user and its operation is reduced to asking questions to which answers are generated using standard for bayesian networks inference algorithms.

The Internet of Things has a set of smart objects with smart connectivity that assists in monitoring real world environment during emergency situations. It could monitor the various applications of emergency situations such as road accidents, criminal acts including physical assaults, kidnap cases, and other threats to people’s way of life. In this work, the proposed work is to afford real time services to users in emergency situations through Convolutional Neural Networks in terms of efficiency and reliable services. Finally, the proposed work has simulated with respect to the performance parameters of the proposed scheme like the probability of accuracy and processing time.

The article summarizes panel discussions led at the Polish Scientific Networks conference. It covers the topics of social and (un)social innovations, their sources, and applications, as well as the new approaches to the concept of the wisdom of the crowds (as opposed to swarm mentality). The article draws on academic research on trust and distrust, declining reliance on formal expertise and a turn against the science, and posttruth society phenomenon. The article concludes with observations about risk aversion in different cultures, to suggest some practical solutions in education programs, needed to address the challenges of the future.

W pracy przedstawiono podstawowe założenia metodyczne związane z budową formalnych systemów reprezentacji wiedzy. Omówiono sieci probabilistyczne, które są szczególnie przydatnym systemem reprezentacji wiedzy w przypadku, gdy trzeba w sposób jawny zakodować czynnik niepewności i rozumowania w kategoriach niedeterministycznych związków przyczynowo-skutkowych. The paper presents Bayesian Networks (BN) technology in the context of methodological requirements for building knowledge representation systems in the domain of agricultural engineering. BN, by their nature, are especially useful for modeling uncertain domains like agricultural production and food chains management.

Na podstawie literatury przedmiotu dotyczącej wykorzystywania sztucznych sieci neuronowych w ekonomii można wskazać podstawowe grupy tematyczne, w których z powodzeniem odnajdują się sztuczne sieci neuronowe.
The last time, knowledge and information have become determinants of innovation economy. These are strategic resources that are increasingly determined by the competitive advantage of companies. Implementation of complex methods and tools for the needs of the economy becomes possible through the use of appropriate models of neural networks that belong to the influenza artificial intelligence methods. The purpose of this article is an attempt to present the role and importance of artificial neural networks (ANN) in predicting and describing economic phenomena.
