    Opis:
    W artykule przedstawiono model ocenowy systemu ratowniczego dyżurującego lub mobilizującego się w sytuacji kryzysowej. W modelu opisano dyspozycyjność pojedynczego ratownika oraz osiąganie i utrzymywanie poszczególnych stanów gotowości. Przedstawiono również algorytmy wyznaczania miar gotowości do akcji ratowniczych przez ukompletowane zespoły ludzi z użyciem przygotowywanego do tej akcji sprzętu technicznego. Jako miary gotowości przyjęto prawdopodobieństwo osiągania lub utrzymywania określonych stanów w wymaganym czasie.
    In the article there is presented an assessment model of the duty rescue system and the system based on mobilization in crisis situation. There are described, in the model, availability of single rescuer, building and maintaining of particular states of readiness. There are also presented algorithms of appointing a rescue action readiness measures by completed rescuers’ teams and prepared for the action technical equipment. As the readiness measures there was assumed probability of building and maintaining the specified states within required timeframe.

    W ujęciu globalnym bodźce podatkowe są obecnie jednym z najpopularniejszych narzędzi interwencji państwa, mających na celu wsparcie rozwoju działalności badawczo-rozwojowej. W ujęciu historycznym wzrost popularności ww. instrumentów można zaobserwować zarówno w perspektywie długookresowej, jak i w ciągu ostatniej dekady. Jeżeli chodzi o Polskę, bodźce podatkowe wspierające działalność B+R były do niedawna stosowane jedynie w bardzo ograniczonym zakresie. Instrument ten został udostępniony szerokiemu gronu podmiotów gospodarczych dopiero na początku 2016 r. Celem artykułu jest analiza interwencji państwa polegającej na wprowadzeniu bodźców podatkowych wspierających działalność B+R, w tym w szczególności odpowiedź na następujące pytania: (1) Kiedy państwo powinno podejmować interwencję za pomocą instrumentów polityki innowacyjnej? (2) Jakie czynniki zadecydowały o popularności i coraz większej hojności bodźców podatkowych wspierających działalność B+R? (3) Jakie były okoliczności i powody wprowadzenia ww. bodźców podatkowych w Polsce?
    Globally, tax incentives belong to the group of the most popular state intervention tools which are directed to support R&D activities. From a historical perspective, the prevalence of R&D tax incentives has increased both in the long-run and also over the past decade. When it comes to Poland, until the beginning of 2016 R&D tax incentives were used only to a very limited extent. Afterwards they became available to a wide range of entrepreneurs. The aim of the article is to analyze state interventions involving the introduction of R&D tax incentives, and in particular to answer the following questions: (1) When should the state intervene with the use of innovation policy instruments? (2) What factors have determined the popularity and increasing generosity of R&D tax incentives? (3) What were the circumstances and reasons for the introduction of R&D tax incentives in Poland?

    W artykule przedstawiono metodę modelowania problemów decyzyjnych, polegającą na syntezie działań prewencyjno-interwencyjnych w rolniczym procesie produkcyjnym. W zależności od spektrum zagrożenia, zbiór działań musi spełniać szereg ograniczeń wynikających z ich stosowania, pilności i wykonalności. Ostatecznym kryterium wyboru działania jest wynik predykcji straty plonu. Przedstawioną koncepcję budowy modelu oparto na technologii sieci bayesowskich.
    The article presents a method of modelling decision problems which is based on a synthesis of prevention and intervention activities in the agricultural production process. Depending on the threat spectrum, the set of actions must comply with a number of limitations arising from their use, urgency and feasibility. The final criterion for the choice of action is the result of the yield loss prediction. The concept of building a model presented in the article is based on Bayesian network technology.

    Opis:
    Manuel Noriega shaped the fate of the Panamanians for eight years. After the death of Omar Torrijos, Noriega became the de facto ruler of Panama. He was not the elected leader, notwith-standing his policy affected every citizen. His illicit activities led to social and political unrest in Panama and were the causes for the American intervention in the country in December 1989. The aim of the article is analyse if it was really necessary for the Americans to apply military action in Panama and why, for many years, the USA accepted the activities of Noriega. It is essential to know whether Panama itself could deal with the internal problems and why the people were dissatisfied with the rule of Manuel Noriega. The 1980s in Panama can be treated as a lost decade. The economic measures employed by the United States managed to deteriorate the industry of Panama. The outcome of the invasion is also significant – the loss of lives, homelessness and lootings. The article presents, step by step, what led to the American interven-tion in Panama and how Manuel Noriega deceived both the Panamanians and the American authorities to remain in power.

    Opis:
    Background: The paper explores the potency of music activities and background music to support academic performance and behaviour of Slovak middle school pupils. It reviews developmental, social and emotional changes that children face during the period of preadolescence. School and education is connected with the formation of personality, thus school staff and parents need to pay attention to social and emotional well-being of pupils. The objective of the study is to investigate academic performance and behaviour of pupils (aged 10-11) before and after music intervention. Methods: The target research group consists of forty-four Slovak fifth graders from big urban, municipal middle school. Data were collected by evaluation of rating scale conducting teacher´s professional judgement about pupils they taught the four explored school subjects. Results: The study summarises the results of rating scale of teacher’s opinions of pupils’ academic performance and behaviour in the control and experimental groups (with and without music intervention). The results show the potency of music to support academic performance and improve behaviour of pupils.

    The contribution deals with the equal opportunity of education that shall be provided to the fullest potential of all children, including intellectually gifted children in Slovak ele-mentary schools. The authoresses believe that it is important to raise the potency of these children by focusing on their creative self-fulfilment and creating motivational conditions in educational process. They focus on musical activities as a tool that can encourage the development of intellectually gifted children by inducing pupils to express themselves in a creative way using musical activities in the main school subjects mathematics and Eng-lish language, with non-musical educational goals. Authoresses conclude their contribution by two examples of this possible pedagogical intervention.
