    The article is focused on the analysis of the essence, purpose and meaning (sense) of evaluation and self-evaluation processes in the school environment. It is an attempt to analyse the pedagogical evaluation as both a specific theoretical problem and a long-term, systematic process by means of which the school is able to reflect and evaluate its work quality in a critical way, to initiate changes and thus to improve and upgrade its quality. The above idea is based on an assumption that the development of the good quality school depends on its concept as an open, co-operative and learning institution focused on educational, cultural and public awareness objectives; and the systematic reflecting, checking and evaluating of its objectives, progress and results form an integral part of its (internal) culture.

    Opis:
    The article contains an analysis of the concept of the personal subject according to Jacques Maritain, taking into consideration the issue of liberty (the freedom to choose and one's internal autonomy) and the relations between a man (a person and an individual) and social life (community and society). The issue of the mentioned concept is expanded by discussing particular problems of: the manifestations of personal and non-personal entities' subjective activity; the relations between the subject and the person; subjective and objective modes of man's existence and activity; the structure of the personal subject. The multifaceted approach to liberty comprises its external (the freedom to choose), internal (the freedom of one's internal autonomy), positive (choosing significantly valuable goals and putting them into effect) and negative (freedom from compulsion) dimensions. Man's relation towards social life defined by Jacques Maritain takes into consideration the priority of the person over the individual and that of the community over the society. Common good – co-being and cooperation are not in conflict with the person's human dignity.

    This paper attempts to provide a critical review of individuality theory as proposed by Polish sociologist Jan Szczepanski. It draws attention to the theoretical and methodological assumptions for showing their incompleteness and the need for further additions. A key thread following text are searching for theoretical roots of individuality within the classical and contemporary sociological theory that could fill some of the gaps and give a chance for more thorough understanding of the issues analyzed, which is individuality. The article highlights the importance taken by Szczepanski attempt to go beyond antinomian description of social reality and the distance the relational model, by emphasizing the role of loneliness in a person’s life.

    Opis:
    The article concerned raises the problem of the prosecutor’s autonomy. In the article the evolution and a way of shaping of the prosecutor’s autonomy in the historical aspect are presented and then the analysis of the autonomy is made in the Act – Law on the Prosecutor’s Office. The main point of the article is the emphasising the need of distinguishing the issue of the external autonomy of the Prosecutor’s Office (as the organizational unit) and the internal prosecutor’s autonomy (as the relation between the supervisor and the subordinate). As far as the external autonomy is concerned the particular attention is dedicated to the issue of joining the function of the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General. The author has also put forward the proposal that in the new Act – Law on the Prosecutor’s Office we can not say any more about the prosecutor’s autonomy as the systemic rule. At the end the views are analysed concerning the need and the usefulness of forming the Prosecutor’s Office on the rule of the autonomy. The author described also his/her own view on the most optimal way of creation of the prosecutor’s autonomy.
    Artykuł porusza problematykę niezależności prokuratora. Przedstawiono w nim rozwój i sposób kształtowania się niezależności prokuratora w ujęciu historycznym, a następnie dokonano analizy niezależności w ustawie – Prawo o prokuraturze. Głównym elementem opracowania jest uwypuklenie potrzeby rozróżniania kwestii niezależności zewnętrznej prokuratury (jako jednostki organizacyjnej) oraz niezależności wewnętrznej prokuratora (jako stosunku między przełożonym a podwładnym). Jeżeli chodzi o niezależność zewnętrzną, to szczególną uwagę poświęcono kwestii połączenia funkcji Ministra Sprawiedliwości i Prokuratora Generalnego. Autor wyciągnął także wniosek, że w nowej ustawie – Prawo o prokuraturze nie można już mówić o niezależności prokuratora jako o zasadzie ustrojowej. W zakończeniu przeanalizował poglądy na temat potrzeby i celowości kształtowania prokuratury na zasadzie niezależności oraz przedstawił własny pogląd na temat najbardziej optymalnego zbudowania niezależności prokuratora.

    Opis:
    Artykuł omawia kwestie zróżnicowania instytucjonalnego i autonomii uczelni oraz możliwe miary ich mierzenia. Przedstawiono w nim powody potrzeby zwiększania zróżnicowania instytucjonalnego i jego różne typy, w tym ważne rozróżnienie między zróżnicowaniem zewnętrznym i wewnętrznym. Specjalny nacisk położono na konieczność zastosowania zróżnicowania do samego pojęcia zróżnicowania, co prowadzi m.in. do wydobycia konieczności mówienia o zróżnicowanej doskonałości uczelni w zależności od przyjętych misji i strategii. W tym kontekście omówiono różne aspekty możliwych podziałów uczelni, np. na co najmniej trzy typy, w rodzaju mniej lub bardziej propozycji przedłożonych przez Marka Kwieka i Zespół. Przedstawiono także potrzebę wprowadzenia do przygotowywanej ustawy nowego pojęcia zgrupowań uczelnianych, takiego jak we Francji, federacji uniwersytetów/uniwersytetu federacyjnego, między zwykłymi związkami uczelni a ich fuzją. Kwestia zróżnicowania instytucjonalnego jest ściśle związana z autonomią (jej stopniem) uniwersytetów, w normalnej sytuacji bowiem autonomia uniwersytetów jest warunkiem ich zróżnicowania instytucjonalnego. Omówiono także kwestię autonomii uniwersytetów i podkreślono fakt, że autonomia i deregulacja wzajemnie się warunkują. Różne stopnie autonomii uniwersytetów europejskich, analizowane w EUA Autonomy Scoreboard, pokrótce przedstawiono, a nacisk położono na różnice w tym względzie między uczelniami polskimi i brytyjskimi (w szczególności angielskimi). Podkreślono, że konieczne jest wzięcie pod uwagę powyższych okoliczności i przygotowanie odpowiednich ram prawnych dla większego zróżnicowania instytucjonalnego polskich uczelni i ich większej autonomii w przygotowywanej aktualnie Ustawie 2.0.
    The paper discusses the question of institutional diversity and autonomy of universities and the possible measures to determine their degree. The reasons for the need of increase of institutional diversity are presented and its different kinds are discussed, including the distinction between external and internal diversity, with a special stress on the necessity to apply the diversity to the notion of diversity itself, leading e.g. to the necessity of talking about differentiated excellence according to the kind of university mission and adopted strategy. In this context, the different aspects of a possible division of higher education institutions e.g. in at least three types, of a kind more or less proposed by M. Kwiek and his Team are briefly presented. The need of introduction of a new concept of university groupings in the new Polish law on universities currently prepared, as it is the case on France: federation of universities/federal university, is presented. The question of institutional diversity is closely related to the (degree) of autonomy of universities, in the normal situation the autonomy of universities is a condition for their diversity, and the general idea of university autonomy is discussed, stressing also among others the point that university autonomy and deregulation are also determining each other. The different degrees of university autonomy in Europe analysed in EUA Autonomy scoreboard are presented, with a special stress on the difference of the scores of Polish universities and UK universities. The author reminds of the necessity to take into account these circumstances and to prepare accordingly an appropriate legal framework for a greater institutional diversity of Polish universities and their greater degree of autonomy in the new Law 2.0 on Polish universities that is currently prepared.

    Przedmiotem publikacji jest portret filozoficzno-artystyczny ukraińskiego pisarza Jurija Wynnuczuka stworzony na podstawie przeprowadzonego z nim wywiadu. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie na podstawie rozmowy z artystą genezy jego stylu literackiego oraz początków twórczości. Analiza treści wywiadu prowadzi do wniosku, że styl literacki pisarza ukształtował się pod wpływem ukraińskich przekładów literatury obcej, głównie zachodnioeuropejskiej. Pisarz deklaruje, że istotna jest dla niego możliwość zachowania autonomii wewnętrznej podczas tworzenia utworu. Pragnie on zatem tworzyć bez ulegania naciskom ze strony swoich wyobrażeń o gustach i oczekiwaniach czytelników.
    Th earticle aims to depict a philosophical and artistic portrait of the Ukrainian writer Yuriy Vynnychuk. The portrait is based on his interview. The objective of the study is to present the origin of his literary style and the beginning of his work. The analysis of the content of the interview leads to the conclusion that the writer’s literary style was influenced by Ukrainian translations of foreign literature, mainly from Western Europe; the writer declares that he intends to preserve his internal autonomy during the creation of the work, he wants to be free from the pressure connected with his would-be readers’ tastes and expectations.

    Tekst dotyczy motywacji do uczenia się, która rozpatrywana jest z perspektywy nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. Celem prezentowanego artykułu jest pokazanie, jak nauczyciele postrzegają motywację uczniów do uczenia się, jak widzą swoją rolę w procesie motywowania oraz prezentacja deklaracji dotyczących sposobów motywowania stosowanych na zajęciach z uczniami klas I–III i oceny ich skuteczności. Analiza materiału uzyskanego dzięki przeprowadzonym wywiadom wskazuje, że wśród nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej ujawniają się znaczące zróżnicowania stanowisk dotyczących roli motywacji w uczeniu się dzieci w młodszym wieku szkolnym oraz stosowanych sposobów stymulowania motywacji zewnętrznej i wewnętrznej.
    The article concerns the learning motivation considered from the perspective of early childhood education teachers. The aim of the publication is to show how teachers perceive students' motivation to learn, how they see their role in the motivating process and to present declarations on the motivating methods used in classes with students of grades 1-3 along with an assessment of their effectiveness. The analysis of the material based on the interviews shows that among early school education teachers there are significant different opinions regarding the role of motivation to learn in younger school-age children and the methods used to stimulate external and internal motivation.
