    The text attempts to answer the question whether musicians need a philosophy of music. The answer to the question of what music contributes to philosophy - a question superordinate in relation to the investigations of the links between philosophy and music - can be formulated clearly, since we find it in the texts of the most prominent representatives of European philosophical thought, including Schopenhauer, whose ideas are discussed in the paper. These issues are also discussed in literature which explores philosophical issues, by such classics of the genre as Thomas Mann and Herman Hesse, whose profound descriptions bring us closer to an understanding of that which music does directly, by expressing spheres beyond words that cannot be expressed otherwise than through music. Karl Popper regards polyphony as the greatest discovery of European culture, and provides evidence of the closeness of science and philosophy. These three levels of approaching the relationship between philosophy and music lead to demonstrating the axiological essence of music, revealed by performers, who make it possible for music to exist to the full in its sonority, unveiling its metaphysical perfection to its listeners.

    Opis:
    Das Ziel des Artikels ist die Bestimmung der Wertehierarchie der weiblichen Zöglinge der Erziehungsanstalt für Jugendliche. Die untersuchte Gruppe beträgt 60 Personen im Alter zwischen 13 und 18 Jahren. Das Forschungswerkzeug für die Durchführung der Untersuchungen bildet die Werteskala von Max Scheler. Die Skala hat einige Varianten. Für ihre Forschungen hat die Autorin des Artikels die Variante D-50 des Werkzeugs angewandt. Die Autorin konzentrierte sich auf 6 grundlegende Wertegruppen. Die Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, dass die untersuchten weiblichen Zöglinge der Erziehungsanstalt für Jugendliche vitale Werte hochschätzen, etwas niedriger hedonistische Werte und an dritter Stelle ästhetische Werte einstufen. Diese Wertekategorien erweisen sich für sie als wichtig und richtungsweisend im Leben. Niedrig geschätzt wurden hingegen moralische Werte, Wahrheitswerte und heilige Werte: Diese Wertekategorien haben für sie kaum Bedeutung und werden von den Mädchen nicht als richtungsweisend im Leben betrachtet.
    The aim of the article is to determine what is the hierarchy of values of the juveniles of the Youth Educational Center. The study group consists of 60 people aged from 13 to 18 years. The research tool used to conduct the research is the Scheler Scale (SWS) by Max Scheler. This scale has several versions. For research, the author of the article used the version (D-50) of this tool. The author of the article focused on these six basic groups of values. The results of the research show that the examined juveniles of the Youth Educational Center highly value the vital values (W), somewhat lower the hedonistic (H), then the aesthetic (E) and these categories of values are important to them, they are guided in life. They value the values in a low way. moral (M), truth (P) and holy (M) and these categories of values do not matter to them, the girls studied do not want to be guided in their lives.
    Celem artykułu jest określenie jaka jest hierarchia wartości wychowanek Młodzieżowego Ośrodka Wychowawczego. Grupa badana to 60 osób w wieku od 13 do 18 lat. Narzędzie badawcze wykorzystane do przeprowadzenia badań to Skala Wartości Schelerowskich (SWS). Skala ta ma kilka wersji. Do badań autorka artykułu wykorzystała wersję (D-50) tego narzędzia. Autorka artykułu skoncentrowała się na tych 6 podstawowych grupach wartości. Wyniki badań pokazują, że badane wychowanki Młodzieżowego Ośrodka Wychowawczego wysoko cenią wartości witalne (W), nieco niżej hedonistyczne (H), następnie estetyczne (E) i te kategorie wartości są dla nich ważne, to nimi kierują się w życiu. Natomiast nisko cenią wartości prawdy (P), moralne (M) i święte (Ś) i te kategorie wartości nie mają dla nich znaczenia, nimi badane dziewczęta nie chcą kierować się w życiu.

    At present, the problems concerning the formation of values of future teachers are becoming increasingly important. Humanistic and professional values play a critical role in shaping the personality of a professional teacher, serve as the highest level of regulation of his conduct, determine the direction of his interests and needs, determine the inherent setup and motivation in the field of vocational and educational activities. In retrospect, manifestation of humanistic and formation of professional values as internal guidelines relied upon by a teacher in his activities is associated with the development of the teaching profession. Therefore, the values, especially professional, do not remain unchanged in the process of development, they transform depending on the historical era: fade away losing their relevance, leading to changes in their hierarchy with the emergence of new values. On the basis of empirical studies, there was made an attempt to characterize the socio-demographic differences of subjects choice of occupation, to reveal the dynamics and features of influence of various social factors on the formation of humanistic and professional values of future teachers with respect to socio-economic changes in modern Ukraine.
    Problemy związane z tworzeniem wartości przez przyszłych nauczycieli obecnie stają się coraz ważniejsze. Wartości humanistyczne i zawodowe odgrywają kluczową rolę w kształtowaniu zawodowym osobowości nauczyciela, działają jako wyższy poziom regulacji jego zachowania, określają kierunek jego zainteresowań i potrzeb oraz właściwości jego nastawienia i motywacje w dziedzinie jego działalności zawodowej. W retrospektywie historycznej przejaw wartości humanistycznych oraz kształtowanie wartości zawodowych jako wewnętrznych drogowskazów, na które orientuje się nauczyciel w swej działalności, związany jest z powstaniem i rozwojem zawodu pedagogicznego. Wartości, zwłaszcza zawodowe, w trakcie swojego rozwoju podlegają transformacji – są przekształcane w zależności od okresu historycznego: zanikają, tracą swoją aktualność, powstają nowe wartości, zmienia się ich hierarchia. Na podstawie badań empirycznych podjęto próbę scharakteryzowania społeczno-demograficznych podmiotów wyboru zawodowego oraz określenia dynamiki i osobliwości wpływu różnych czynników socjalnych na kształtowanie wartości humanistycznych i zawodowych przyszłych pedagogów ze względu na zmiany socjalno-ekonomiczne mające miejsce we współczesnej Ukrainie.

    Aims. In view of the diminishing demand for the humanities in Israel, we explore the profiles of current students of humanities in one high school and one university in Israel. Method. This study reviews the changes in the demand for and status of academic humanities studies and maps the profile of students of the humanities, both high school students and high school graduates over the age of 18. In total, 136 students (73 males and 60 females) participated in this survey-based study Results and Conclusion. The results show a positive and significant correlation between attitudes regarding the humanities and motivation to study these subjects in the future. In addition, a positive correlation was found between values of honesty, helping others, and contribution to the country, and motivation to study the humanities. Contribution. The findings of this study contribute by daring to challenge the perception concerning the insignificant status of the humanities in our day and age – aimed at eliminating them and rendering them irrelevant.

Wszyscy mieli do siebie pełne zaufanie i wzajemny szacunek, oparte o wyższe wartości i wspólnie chcieli uzyskać jak największą trwałość nawierzchni na tej autostradzie przy dotrzymania kontraktowych terminów i kosztów realizacji.
    Thie paper summarises the publications in numbers 3, 4 and 7-8. and shall answer a question in the subtitle of this paper. The success was determined by the application of the original version of the FIDIC principles on this construction site and the simultaneous meeting of the competent pecialists of all parties involved in this project. Everyone had full trust and mutual respect, based on higher values, and together they wanted to achieve the highest possible durability of the pavement on this motorway, while meeting the contractual deadlines and costs of implementation.

    Given a realization on a finite interval of a continuous-time stationary process, we construct estimators for higher order spectral densities. Tapering and shift-in-time methods are used to build estimators which are asymptotically unbiased and consistent for all admissible values of the argument. Asymptotic results for the fourth-order densities are given. Detailed attention is paid to the nth order case.

    The purpose of this article is to present a multifaceted analysis concerning methodology proceedin-gs in recruitment procedures for researchers. Theoretical considerations are complemented by concusions of an empirical study. The role of scientificinstitutions and values applicable in the scientificcommunity in light of popularized theories are analyzed first.Additionally, reference is made to the principles enshrined in the code of ethics of Poland’s National Research and Development Centre.Then are discussed recommended patterns of conduct which have been recorded in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, paying particu-lar attention to issues relating to openness and fairness of proceedings and equal treatment.The next part of the work discusses legal regulations applicable to the employment of academics at Polish universities. It looks closely into the differences that apply to employees at public and private universities, which can be considered from the point of view of legal provisions relating to the prin-ciple of equal treatment enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.The subsequent part of study is devoted to the conclusions of an empirical study covering the compe-tition proceedings relating to the employment of academic staff at public universities. The methodo-logy of the examination procedure is thoroughly explained and interim research questions concerning the specific issues and problems closely related to the analyzed subject are presented

    Artykuł poddaje analizie przemiany modeli karier wykształcane w efekcie dynamicznych zmian, jakim jest poddane polskie środowisko naukowe. Ramą tych mechanizmów są tendencje obserwowane w krajach rozwiniętych (USA i Francja), w których nauka funkcjonuje według specyficznego dla każdego z tych państw systemu. Analiza przypadku polskiego wskazuje na konkretne zapożyczenia z obu tych systemów i stworzenie modelu hybrydowego. Kontekst funkcjonowania tego modelu powoduje, iż selekcje, którym są poddani młodzi naukowcy, wspierają osoby o odmiennym profilu, niż jest to pożądane w klasycznym modelu pracy naukowej. Główna analiza skupia się na przypadku większości naukowców działających w naukach przyrodniczych i parających się badaniami podstawowymi, jednak rezultaty tejże analizy mogą być aplikowane w przypadkach karier realizowanych w innych dziedzinach nauki. W artykule wykorzystane zostały narzędzia socjologii pracy, a perspektywa z zakresu socjologii wiedzy postrzegająca Naukę jako działalność ludzką o cechach specyficznych zapożyczona jest od Ludwika Flecka. Konkluzja wykazuje sprzeczności pomiędzy promowanym przez władze modelem zbudowanym na konkurencji i indywidualnym postrzeganiu dorobku, w którym uwaga konkurujących skupiona jest na zebraniu jak największej ilości punktów i przetrwaniu w systemie typowym dla świata freelancerów, a więc polegającym na samofinansowaniu własnej posady i indywidualnym (lub w ramach grupy partnerskiej) zdobywaniu środków na wykonywanie swej profesji. Analiza socjologiczna wykazuje, iż tego typu warunki pracy są nieadekwatne do wymagań pracy naukowej, która powstaje jako wynik działalności zespołowej, w grupie osób darzących się bezgranicznym zaufaniem, szacunkiem i nie będących w relacji konkurencji. Ponadto stabilność dobrych zespołów gwarantuje wysokie efekty pracy, ale w obecnym systemie stałe kontrakty pracy są postrzegane jako przeżytek nieefektywnej przeszłości. Jest to wyraz braku wiedzy i niezrozumienia specyfiki pracy naukowej przez decydentów.
    Article examines transformations of career models that emerged as result of dynamic changes This article examines transformations of career models that have emerged as result of the dynamic changes taking place inside the Polish scientific community. The mechanisms in question have evolved in relation to particular trends observed in developed countries, where scientific activities are framed by locally-specific systems. Two such cases are analyzed: the United States and France, and compared with the Polish case. The Polish case study demonstrates concrete borrowings from both the US and French systems. As a result, Poland constitutes a hybrid model. As a consequence, in the context in which this model operates it promotes the selection of young scientists having a different personality profile than the one sought after in the classical model of scientific activity. The main analysis focuses on the majority of contemporary scientists who are working in the natural sciences and engaged in basic research projects - but results of the analysis can be applied to career development in any scientific discipline. The article employs the tools of sociology of work and the approach to science as a human activity borrowed from Ludwik Fleck’s works. The conclusion shows the contradictions in the model promoted by the authorities, based on competition even among members of the same team and an individual perception of achievement, where the focus is on collecting points and survival strategy is the main goal of each researcher. This strategy is typical for the world of freelancers, where people self-finance their own employment and search individually for the financial support necessary to perform their profession. Sociological analysis shows that such working conditions are inadequate for scientific work, which typically develops as a result of a teamwork among groups of people who deeply trust each other, have profound mutual professional respect and are not competition-focused relationships. In addition, the stability of good research teams ensures the high quality effects of their work. However, in the current system long-term contracts are perceived as an inefficient relic of the past (mainly reserved for almost-retired professionals). This is a sign of a lack of knowledge and a deep misunderstanding on the part of decision makers of the specificity of scientific work.
