Piotr Skarga is one of the most prominent Polish writers of the 16th century. Today he is mostly regarded as a polemicist, heavily engaged in political matters. However, during his lifetime, he was considered as a religious writer. Lives of the Saints held a significant importance among his work, as well as his sermons (especially appreciated by Catholics, since people of other faiths thought of Skarga as a sworn enemy). In these writings there are a lot of references to the angels (around 500 mentions), although it does not make him an angelologist. His remarks on the angels are in accordance with the Catholic doctrine and decrees of the Council of Trent. Skarga’s favorite motives were: hierarchical structure of existence (man should aim high, to the angels), angelic hierarchy (following Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite), the court of God (with a special role of the courtier angels), the angelic army (with God as its leader, interfering in history, also the history of Poland), singing of the angels (one of the most common themes, coming from the Biblical Apocrypha), the Guardian Angel (belonging to everyman, not only ardent Catholics) and the angelic cult (one of the determinant aspects of Christianity). Although Skarga was very vigilant not to write anything that would not be in accordance with the Catholic teachings, he was using religious motives to reflect upon the politics, for example he regarded divine monarchy as a model for earthly monarchy.

In the given study authors attempt to present the hierarchy of values according to children younger school age developed on the basis of the results of research carried out among pupils from 1st to 3rd classes. Citing the literature quoted examples of definitions of values and their classifications developed by researchers in various fields. In the main part of the article we present the results of research showing the hierarchy of values proposed by students. The authors also made a comparison of the results obtained by gender and taking into account environmental differences (students from the countryside and from the city). A summary of the conclusions of the study are important for the practice of teaching and educational process.

Opis:
The article presents the idea of different single criterion and multi-criteria methods of analysis focusing on a method known as Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The modified version of the AHP method is presented. This modified method directly uses the performance parameters of the compared options creating “satisfaction function” used in the final analysis. The presented simple hypothetical example of road crossing traffic organisation shows the potential of the modified AHP method and HIPRE software. Additionally, the problem of many evaluating groups with different evaluation criteria is described.

Th e researches were of a comparable nature.Data from two types of schools, that is, public and private secondary schoolsfrom various sizes of towns of the Podkarpacie voivodeship have been compiled.Th e analysis of the values selected by young people will fulfi ll the life philosophy ofthe analyzed, with reference to these aspects which are the most important for them.

The Smith-Stark hierarchy, a version of the Animacy Hierarchy, offers a typology of the cross-linguistic availability of number. The hierarchy predicts that the availability of number is not arbitrary. For any language, if the expression of plural is available to a noun, it is available to any noun of a semantic category further to the left of the hierarchy. In this article we move one step further by showing that the structure of the hierarchy can be observed in a statistical model of number use in Russian. We also investigate three co-variates: plural preference, pluralia tantum and irregularity effects; these account for an item’s behaviour being different than that solely expected from its animacy position.

The work of teachers has to be purposeful and well thought-out in order to achieve desired results. Both theory and practice show that achieving success must be combined with the adequate setting of educational goals and their organization within a specific hierarchy. The crucial research issue here consists of diagnosis of preferences concerning the hierarchy of physical education goals. A questionnaire developed by the European Physical Education Association has been used as the research tool. Teachers perceived the goal of "encouraging students to lead an active, healthy lifestyle" as the most important consideration. The lowest rank was applied to goals connected with shaping the social competences of pupils.

Improved Human Resources Performance can be realized in the employee’s absence. The sophistication of technology to accommodate the absence is the use of a Mobile-Based Attendance Application. Attendance can be used to measure employee performance. One of the measuring tools in measuring performance is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI). KPI values can be obtained from the Mobile-based Attendance Application, as currently implemented by an IT Company. But in its development, there is a shortage on the application features of Daily Attendance, Leave, Report Recaps Attendance and Report Recaps Leave. The value engineering method with the Analytical Hierarchy Process is used in this paper to obtain prioritized alternatives in the development of application feature updates. The results of the research show that the alternative with the largest percentage is owned by Alternative IV (45.6%). These results indicate that this alternative can be used as a recommendation for renewal of attendance application features on IT Company. Alternative IV shows optimal results such as the realization of application feature requirements for users, consumption of fewer workdays for 1-2 days, low costs, easy-to-understand feature design, and uncomplicated programming techniques.

W artykule przedstawiono opis oraz porównanie kryteriów wyboru lokalizacji farmy wiatrowej. Kryteria te uwzględniają pomiary wietrzności na rozpatrywanym terenie, lokalizację turbin wiatrowych, lokalizację linii elektroenergetycznej służącej do przesyłu wyprodukowanej energii elektrycznej od farmy wiatrowej do stacji elektroenergetycznej (GPZ), infrastrukturę towarzyszącą, warunki techniczne przyłączenia do sieci elektroenergetycznej oraz otoczenie projektu. Do porównania kryteriów zastosowano metodę AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) przyporządkowując skalę ocen preferencji od 1 do 9. Ustalony ranking kryteriów, biorący pod uwagę wpływ kryteriów na powodzenie projektu budowy farmy wiatrowej wskazał, że najważniejszym kryterium głównym jest kryterium związane z uzyskaniem decyzji o środowiskowych uwarunkowaniach dla obszaru farmy wiatrowej.
The article presents description and comparison of criteria used for choosing the localization of a wind farm. The criteria include measurements of wind kinetic energy on a given location, location of wind turbines, location of transmission line which is used for power transfer from wind farm to substation, location of local infrastructure and grid connection related witch technical requirements and project's environment. In order to compare the above mentioned criteria AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was used, with 1 to 9 point scale. As far as matching preferences with criteria is concerned it embraces issues of obtaining decisions and permissions. The aim of the article is to create a ranking of criteria in their correlation to probability of project success. After analysis indicated that the dominant influence on the time to obtain a permit for the construction of a wind farm is to obtain the environmental conditions for the wind farm area and obtaining issue terms of connection to the transmission grid.

The frequent causes of ships’ detentions by port authorities are abnormalities of marine power plant functioning. Each extended ship lay time in port results in a waste of ship operating time thus costs rise to ship owners. This is connected with improper marine power plant management. In order to avoid it, a ship engineer should have disposal computer aided at his system supporting him in the managing of the marine power plant. Such a system can be worked out on the condition that a mathematical model, which represents the decision – making process of an engineer has been built. One element of the decision making process in managing the marine engine room is to determine how important is each of the tasks which the operators have to do. This estimation is the base to choose the most important tasks and make optimal schedule with them. The present work shows the approach to the rating method of operating tasks using AHP method. Based on practice, a hierarchic structure of factors influencing tasks validity in the engine room operating process was made. Next, a preliminary questionnaire was conducted, which put questions to the experts as chief engineers next. This enabled to define numerical values of suitable coefficients influencing on the validity of operating tasks. The equation contains this all coefficients permit to determinate numerical values of an operating task’s validity in given engine room operating processes.

While criticism of management and other authorities might sometimes count as virtuous, it is often taken as a disturbance of business operations. Some people even think that criticism reflects badly on managers, as it supposedly shows that they do not have sufficient control over their employees. As I see it, then, feedback or criticism is framed in a highly ambivalent way: Although criticism is often invited as an opportunity for improvement, it is mostly received as a cause of reputational damage. A straightforward illustration of this fact is the treatment of so-called whistle blowers who might be viewed either as martyrs exposing problems to be addressed or as traitors revealing failings or misconduct. Yet, given the moral and institutional stakes in improving a problematic situation, it is still surprising that a portrayal of criticism as a disturbance is so often successful. So how is it possible to obscure the obvious downsides of shunning criticism? Zooming in on the ambivalent values associated with criticism, I shall argue that administrative hierarchies and distributions of tasks often provide incentives to suppress criticism and, by extension, collective action rooted in criticism of authorities in academia.

Coastline is one type of valuable non-renewable resources. From the perspective of economic theory, it can gather population, promote traffic construction, and then improve the level of international trade. The research object of this paper is the coastline resource in Dafeng area. Firstly, we have a brief summary of the existing coastline evaluation literature, then introduce the location and natural attributes of the coastline resources in Dafeng. Following that, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model is used to build the economic evaluation index system based on the characteristics of coastline in Dafeng. Specially, this index system consists of 6 factors, and a total of 41 detailed indicators were chosen including water depth, GDP, etc. On this basis, we use the assignment method to quantify the weight of each index, and calculate the comprehensive score of coastline resource by using the YAAHP software. The final conclusion is as follows: The total score of economic evaluation of coastline resource in Dafeng is 0.87. Therefore, the coastline resource in Dafeng will eventually be constructed a unique coastal economic zone, where the implemented port industrial projects will include shipbuilding, logistics, mechanical processing etc.

In our article we would like to propose some statistical solution to the problem of the changing the rales of bank products (deposits and loans) afler appearing market destabilisation factor such as changing the Central Bank loan rates. Due to the complexity of the problem we will focus on two alternative ways: application of game theory and application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). We will treat the described problem as a game with nature - with a goal of finding an optimal solution. Showing the application of the AHP method we will propose the use of a procedure based on two semi-dependant AHP models.
W pracy rozważany jest problem ustalania w sposób optymalny bankowych stóp procentowych. Do tego celu wykorzystano metodę optymalizacji wielokryterialnej (Analityczny Proces Hierarchiczny) oraz niektóre procedury teorii gier.

The aim of this article is to point to the main processes that contributed to the linguistic evolution of the South-Eastern Slavic (i.e. Macedonian and Bulgarian language dialects as well as some of the dialects of the Southern Serbia) veering off the way in which the other, more conservative, of the Slavic dialectical complexes developed. In the case of the South-Eastern Slavic, the development has been to a considerable extent driven by the so called contact changes, i.e. by the interference between languages of different typological compositions in a multilingual administrative structures that impose on the individuals not fluent in their speakers’ language the need to communicate. In consequence, this type of development uncovers the right communicative hierarchy of the transferred information and leads to regularization (grammaticalization) of the exponents of the information that is the most crucial for the successful completion of a communication act. In a verbal system, the information is connected first and foremost with the semantic domain of assessing the truth-value of the discussed facts; in a nominal system, it is the information that enables the correct identification of the discussed events and their protagonists that counts the most. These issues are presented in the article from the perspective of the evolution mechanisms characteristic of the Macedonian language area, showing how the abovementioned semantic impulses transform the grammatical (morphological and syntactical) inheritance of Proto-Slavic. What draws our attention in this relation is the analogy between the direction and the final products of the evolution of the so called Balkan sprachbund and the processes that in the late Middle Ages brought about similar results in the development of the Romance languages of the Western Europe or of English.

The article presents a description and comparison of criteria used for choosing the location of a wind farm. The criteria include measurements of wind kinetic energy on a given location, location of wind turbines, location of the transmission line which is used for power transfer from a wind farm to a substation, location of local infrastructure and a grid connection related with technical requirements and project environment. In order to compare the above mentioned criteria, the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was used, with a 1 to 9 point scale. As far as matching preferences with criteria is concerned, it embraces issues of obtaining decisions and permissions. The main objective of the article is to create a ranking of criteria in their correlation to probability of project success. The article presents the introduction of comparative analysis of a few planned projects, with regard to the time needed to obtain construction permit.
Artykuł przedstawia opis oraz porównanie kryteriów wyboru lokalizacji farmy wiatrowej. Kryteria te uwzględniają pomiary wietrzności na rozpatrywanym terenie, lokalizację turbin wiatrowych, lokalizację linii elektroenergetycznej służącej do przesyłu wyprodukowanej energii elektrycznej od farmy wiatrowej do stacji elektroenergetycznej (GPZ), infrastrukturę towarzyszącą, warunki techniczne przyłączenia do sieci elektroenergetycznej oraz otoczenie projektu. Do porównania kryteriów zastosowano metodę AHP (ang. Analytic Hierarchy Process), przyporządkowując skalę ocen preferencji od 1 do 9. Przyporządkowanie preferencji do danego kryterium uwzględnia problematykę uzyskania decyzji i pozwoleń wynikających z prawa polskiego oraz wiedzę ekspercką. Celem artykułu jest ustalenie rankingu kryteriów, biorąc pod uwagę ich wpływ na powodzenie projektu budowy farmy wiatrowej, co jest wstępem do dokonania analizy porównawczej planowanych projektów budowy farm wiatrowych ze względu na czas uzyskania pozwolenia na budowę.

The aim of the study was to identify a set of sustainable suppliers criteria and ranking them in order of decreasing importance in the supplier assessment. The validity of each criterion was determined using the method of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The study was conducted among experts from the international industrial automation company.

To achieve its aim, any human activity needs to be performed consciously and purposefully. In this way, such an activity strengthens perseverance and contributes to the development of a strategy of action. The selection of the objective is associated with the valuation and hierarchy of goals and in such circumstances the teacher who targets the completion o a variety of tasks needs to determine what is important for them, prioritise, and establish which activities are indispensable in order to proceed to further steps (Strelau, 2000). Physical education forms a process through which students are prepared for an independent, satisfying and life-long participation in movement culture(Crum, 2007). However, the realization of these goals is relative to activities on the part of teachers and adequate education throughout the course of the study program. The objective of this paper is to establish the opinions of academic teachers regarding the hierarchy of the goals of physical education. The survey involved 52 teachers working at three Polish universities: Opole University of Technology, University of Physical Education in Katowice and State Higher Vocational School in Racibórz. The method involved a diagnostic technique, i.e. a survey in the form of a questionnaire. The specific tool applied a survey developed by the European Physical Education Association. On the basis of the replies to the questionnaire we can conclude that all interviewees agree on the principal objective i.e. encouraging students to follow an active and healthy lifestyle. This objective was followed in priority by ensuring students’ safety during physical education classes and developing the range of movement skills.

Emilia Chronowska in the paper Mobbing and discrimination in the work environment of Prison Staff offers an analysis of the phenomenon of inequality in the treatment of prison officers and employees. Bullying and discrimination can occur in any organisation with an inherent human factor and associated human interactions. These phenomena imply a kind of crisis in the organizational unit, which can escalate and disrupt cooperation or make it impossible to carry out official tasks. The article presents the problem of mobbing and discrimination in uniformed services, in particular in the Prison Service. The aim of the study was to present and discuss selected factors that have a dominant influence on the occurrence of the above-mentioned undesirable behaviours among officers and between an officer and a superior. The author used data obtained from research conducted in the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź on mobbing and aggression in the Prison Service. The author has also used the experience of the Ombudsman concerning anti-mobbing and anti-discrimination procedures in the uniformed services, collected in the form of analysis and recommendations. The content of the article presents the most important reasons for the occurrence of mobbing and discrimination in organisational units, presents the dimension of the consequences of the occurrence of these phenomena for officers, the organisational unit, as well as for the efficient and effective ensuring of the realisation of statutory tasks and functions of the Prison Service. The occurrence of mobbing and discrimination in Prison Service organisational units harms the interest of the Service itself, its good name and does not contribute to building a positive image of the formation.

Nowadays, intelligent e-learning systems which can adapt to learner's needs and preferences, became very popular. Many studies have demonstrated that such systems can increase the eects of learning. However, providing adaptability requires consideration of many factors. The main problems concern user modeling and personalization, collaborative learning, determining and modifying learning senarios, analyzing learner's learning styles. Determining the optimal learning scenario adapted to students' needs is very important part of an e-learning system. According to psychological research, learning path should follow the students' needs, such as (i.a.): content, level of diculty or presentation version. Optimal learning path can allow for easier and faster gaining of knowledge. In this paper an overview of methods for recommending learning material is presented. Moreover, a method for determining a learning scenario in Intelligent Tutoring Systems is proposed. For this purpose, an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used.

The aristocratic titles, which the partitioning monarchies granted to some of their Polish noble subjects in the long nineteenth century, did not play a decisive role in the development and formation of the modern Polish noble elite. The foreign titles could only sanction the internal noble hierarchy, which was apparently much more determined by specific noble traditions and the cult of the pre-partition past. This argument is evidenced by the cases of families which did not need formal title grants to be recognized as truly aristocratic in that period.

This paper studies some properties of the so-called semilattice-based logics (which are defined in a standard way using only the order relation from a variety of algebras that have a semilattice reduct with maximum) under the assumption that its companion assertional logic (defined from the same variety of algebras using the top element as representing truth) is algebraizable. This describes a very common situation, and the conclusion of the paper is that these semilattice-based logics exhibit some of the good behaviour of protoalgebraic logics, without being necessarily so. The main result is that all these logics have enough Leibniz filters, a fact previously known in the literature to occur only for protoalgebraic logics. Another significant result is that the two companion logics coincide if and only if one of them enjoys the characteristic property of the other, that is, if and only if the semilattice-based logic is algebraizable, and if and only if its assertional companion is selfextensional. When these conditions are met, then the (unique) logic is finitely, regularly and strongly algebraizable and fully Fregean; this places it at some of the highest ranks in both the Leibniz hierarchy and the Frege hierarchy.

The paper presents methodology of developing models of dynamic systems of machining shafts in the elastic-deformable condition. The specifics of dynamic system (DS) identification concerning straight turning and straight and plunge grinding of low-rigidity shafts is presented. The specifics of the process of lowrigidity elements machining is taken into account through the introduction of suitable equations of constraint reflecting additional elastic strain in one of the equations describing the control force effect. Systemic analysis of the developed models is performed, and their hierarchical structure is given.

The article deals with the potential infringement of human dignity through the choice of priority criteria for the provision of medical assistance in an emergency situation, when the treatment can only be provided for one person. The lack of sufficient equipment during the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic is a key example, but examples of acute shortage of medical personnel and various types of equipment are also analysed. The assumption made in the article is that selection guidelines need to be established for medical personnel. The text presents the concept of violation of human dignity and the issue of inability to provide assistance to an adequate number of patients. Then, with the use of the dogmatic-legal method, the proposed patient selection criteria such as age, social position, physical condition, and occurrence of comorbidities are analysed. As a result of the analysis, it is concluded that, due to the protection of human dignity, it is unacceptable to take away the assistance already provided for a patient (disconnection from the apparatus) in order to save the health of another patient. The criterion of assessing the patient’s health condition is unquestionable, whereas the choice of other decisive factors, such as a person’s social standing, may lead to unjustified discrimination and inequality.

The hierarchy rivalry theory is based on the perception of social reality as a rivalry between associations and rivalry of systems of norms. The state constitution is a collection of tops of hierarchies. A constitution can be changed for various reasons – sometimes the change is an attempt to transform reality, and sometimes it results from the ruling party’s attempt to maintain power. A constitutional change may be a revolution, understood as a process within the hierarchy, or an invasion resulting from external influence. The importance of the influence of ideology, but also of associations, on changes to the constitution should be recognized.
Teoria rywalizacji hierarchii bazuje na postrzeganiu rzeczywistości społecznej jako rywalizacji zrzeszeń oraz rywalizacji systemów norm. Konstytucja państwa to zbiór szczytów hierarchii. Konstytucja może być zmieniana z różnych powodów - niekiedy zmiana jest próbą przekształcenia rzeczywistości, a czasami wynika z dążenia do utrzymania władzy przez rządzącą partię. Zmiany konstytucji mogą przybierać formę rewolucji, rozumianej jako proces wewnątrz hierarchii, albo formę inwazji, wynikającej z zewnętrznego wpływu. Należy dostrzegać znaczenie wpływu ideologii, ale także zrzeszeń, na zmiany konstytucji.

The aim of the study was to present the possibility of applying the AHP-LP method to assess the significance of strategic factors (strategic goals and tasks) influencing the socioeconomic development of the commune. The Commune of Chrzypsko Wielkie in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship was used to illustrate the suggested approach. The study was based on the data from questionnaire surveys conducted among the councillors of the Commune of Chrzypsko Wielkie in 2012. The empirical studies proved the usefulness of the AHP-LP for assessment of the significance of strategic factors. The method enabled quantification of the significance of individual strategic factors. The most important aims in the Commune of Chrzypsko Wielkie include improvement of technical infrastructure, followed by development of the economy. The reduction of unemployment and modernisation of agriculture were the most important tasks. The suggested approach may be used in the process of making development strategies of administrative units.
Celem badań było przedstawienie możliwości zastosowania AHP-LP do oceny ważności czynników strategicznych (celów strategicznych i zadań) w gminie, na przykładzie gminy Chrzypsko Wielkie w województwie wielkopolskim. W badaniach wykorzystano dane z badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród radnych tej gminy w 2013 roku. Przeprowadzone badania empiryczne potwierdziły przydatność AHP-LP do oceny ważności czynników strategicznych. Metoda ta pozwoliła na skwantyfikowanie ważności poszczególnych czynników strategicznych. Do najważniejszych celów w gminie Chrzypsko Wielkie zaliczyć należy poprawę infrastruktury technicznej i gospodarkę. Wśród zadań najważniejsze były: zmniejszenie bezrobocia i modernizacja rolnictwa. Metoda ta jest użyteczna w planowaniu rozwoju.

SMC is required to be responsible for the daily operational management of the ship on behalf of the ship owner such as crewing, technical management, administration, and chartering. Seeing the importance of collaboration and the diversity of services provided by the SMC, it is necessary to evaluate each determinant factor by the ship owner for the selection of an SMC to assist the ship owner in choosing an SMC that suits their needs. It is also to improve the service prioritized by the owner to SMC. The purpose of this research is to identify the determinant factors of SMC selection from the owner’s perspective, evaluate the importance of each of these factors, and obtain different views between the owner and SMC in the selection of ship management. The Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) method is used for evaluating weight based on the opinions of the owners and SMC who are experts in their fields. Then, the different perspectives between the owner dan SMC were obtained from the processing result. The results show that owners placed their top priority on factors that they can get the most from SMC, such as human resource factors and services. Meanwhile, SMC placed its priority on cost and its services factors that described the things they must manage well and optimization provided to owners.

W artykule opisano zastosowanie metody AHP jako wspomagającej badania preferencji odbiorców komunikatów elektronicznych. Zaprezentowano wyniki badania preferencji tych odbiorców wykonane metodą AHP przy użyciu oprogramowania SoftIn na próbie 68 respondentów. Zbadano wpływ zastosowanej czcionki (styl, użycie dużych i małych liter) na preferencje odbiorców komunikatów elektronicznych.
The article describes the method of AHP as a method of supporting testing of preferences of recipients of electronic messages. The results of research on subjective assessment of electronic messages made by AHP method using the software SoftIn on a sample of 68 respondents are presented. The influence of the applied font (style, the use of uppercase and lowercase letters) on the preferences of recipients of electronic messages was analyzed.

The text focuses on the subject of family and values. It aims to show where in the hierarchy of values of the studied youth, second class of high school is a family. The text contains a theoretical description of the family and its transformations, as well as an empirical part concerning research on family values in the opinions of secondary school students. In recent years, it has been observed that the family is losing value because the values related to the good of the individual become more important. This was also confirmed in the conducted studies, because the family was located by the youth on the distant 7th position in the group of 10 values.

In the first place, the main identifications of residents of Austrian Galicia in the period between 1772 and 1918 are discussed; emphasised is the fact that diverse individual hierarchies of identification could be formed. Then, it is shown in what ways these identification directions surfaced in the specified local dimension – namely, in the town of Drohobycz (today Ukrainian Drohobych), in the specific historical moment – that is, during the 1911 election for the Vienna Parliament. On this occasion, the local elite carried out the election of their own candidate, contrary to what the majority of local dwellers demanded – which resulted in protest actions and unusual alliances between the locals. Given the exemplary occurrence with its limited place and time framework, the article seeks to analyse the sympathies and antipathies among the Galicians, which tended at times to be astonishing and not necessarily followed the lines of ethnic/national and political divisions. The argument has it that what was happening tended to be contrary to the image of the conflict that split the province’s three main ethnic groups, on the one hand, and the vision of a concordant coexistence between Poles, Ukrainians, and Jews, on the other.

In April 2014, Nihon Hoso Kyokai (NHK: Japan Broadcasting Company) aired a short animated film titled “Ophelia, not yet”. Ophelia, in this animation, survives, as she is a backstroke champion. This article will attempt to contextualize the complex negotiations, struggles and challenges between high culture and pop culture, between Western culture and Japanese culture, between authoritative cultural products and radicalized counterculture consumer products (such as animation), to argue that it would be more profitable to think of the relationships between highbrow/lowbrow, Western/non-Western, male versus female, heterosexual versus non-heterosexual, not simply in terms of dichotomies or domination/subordination, but in terms of reciprocal enrichment in a never-ending process of mutual metamorphoses.

Kształtowanie właściwej, trwałej hierarchii wartości to jeden z najistotniejszych celów kształcenia ludzi młodych. Zdrowie jest szczególnie istotną wartością jako wartość podstawowa, witalna, a jednocześnie uniwersalna. W niniejszym artykule ukazano różne wykładnie pojęć wartości jako takich i wartości zdrowia, a także zaprezentowano podziały wartości na kategorie. Następnie przedstawiono wyniki wybranych badań empirycznych dotyczących hierarchii wartości młodzieży i dorosłych. Te badania pokazały, że wartość „zdrowie” była lokowana w pobliżu szczytu hierarchii wartości łącznie z rodziną i miłością. Istnieje potrzeba dalszych badań dotyczących określania miejsca wartości „zdrowie” w hierarchii wartości i postrzegania jej roli przez młodzież.
Forming the appropriate and lasting hierarchy of values is one of essential youth learning objectives. Among values, health is especially significant as a basal, vital value and at the same time as an universal one. In the article, theoretical studies of values containing differences in definition and in the process of creating a partition of values were presented. Subsequently, a part concerning results of selected empirical research on hierarchy of values among youths and adults was included. Quoted studies showed, that a value „health” was placed near the top of hierarchy in declarations of teenagers, including family and love. There is a need for further research to determine it's place and it's role in perception of youth.

According to the Hierarchies Rivalry Theory, a constitution contains the tops of hierarchies, understood as systems of norms. Due to their position in the constitution, such hierarchies may be called constitutional hierarchies. These hierarchies compete with one another in a dynamic – albeit long-term – process of transforming the constitution. Autonomy within the constitutional hierarchy means the existence of a specific scope of independence, in particular in the area of creating internal or local law. Such law must be consistent with the general contents of the constitution. Autonomy within the constitutional hierarchy is a combination of conflicting tendencies of subordination and independence. The first practical attempts to apply the Hierarchies Rivalry Theory to research on autonomy within the constitutional hierarchies of various countries encourage further actions in this area.
Zgodnie z teorią rywalizacji hierarchii, konstytucja zawiera szczyty hierarchii, będących systemami norm. Ze względu na ich umiejscowienie w konstytucji, takie hierarchie można nazwać hierarchiami konstytucyjnymi. Hierarchie te rywalizują ze sobą w ramach dynamicznego – chociaż długotrwałego – procesu przekształcania konstytucji. Autonomia w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnej to istnienie określonego zakresu samodzielności, w szczególności w zakresie tworzenia prawa wewnętrznego lub miejscowego. Takie prawo musi być zgodne z ogólną treścią konstytucji. Autonomia w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnej jest połączeniem sprzecznych tendencji dotyczących podporządkowania i niezależności. Pierwsze praktyczne próby stosowania teorii rywalizacji hierarchii do badań nad autonomią w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnych różnych państw zachęcają do podejmowania kolejnych działań w tym zakresie.

The paper describes features of landscape boundaries in the lowland landscape of Poland and verifies their cross-scale properties. The diversity of lithology, morphometry and land use was taken into account by delimitation of the boundaries. A scale of 1:50 000 was set as the basis. Three structural features (length, contrast and sinuosity) and two functional features (permeability and stability) were examined. The boundaries within the research area are typically of average length, low sinuosity, high permeability and low stability. A high correspondence between the diversity of abiotic components and land use is observed, resulting in a large number of high-contrast boundaries. However, this feature does not necessarily mean that these patterns are cross scale and can be applied at a higher level of landscape hierarchy. A geochemical/typological and regional order has been explored to describe properties of landscape boundaries for different spatial scales. Only the first of the listed orders corresponds to diversification of boundary features.

For the most popular ANN structure with one hidden layer, decomposition is done into two sub-networks. These sub-networks form the first level of the hierarchical structure. On the second level, the coordinator is working with its own target function. In the hierarchical systems theory three coordination strategies are defined. For the ANN learning algorithm the most appropriate is the coordination by the principle of interaction prediction. Implementing an off-line algorithm in all sub-networks makes the process of weight coefficient modification more stable. In the article, the quality and quantity characteristics of a coordination algorithm and the result of the learning algorithm for all sub-networks are shown. Consequently, the primary ANN achieves the global minimum during the learning process.

The purpose of the study was twofold: Experiment 1 tested the possibility that the mere recollection of food aroused a state of hunger and that different types of food influenced the state of hunger differently; Experiment 2 tested the possibility that food cues affected altruistic behavior. In Experiment 1, 28 participants reported how hungry they felt before and after their recollection of certain foods (noodles and pudding). Results suggest that recollection of food increased hunger and that the type of food influenced the degree of hunger (F(2,54) = 31.88, p < .001, η2 = .54). In Experiment 2, 63 participants were randomly assigned to one of three recollection conditions: (1) noodles, (2) pudding, and (3) control. Participants in the two conditions described each food in detail; control group participants did not. Participants were then asked how much they would be willing to participate in an ostensible experiment. Results indicate that recollection-induced hunger reduced altruistic behavior (F(2, 60) = 4.11, p = .021, η2 = .12). Cue reactivity theory and the hierarchy of needs could explain these results.

The first thing to do when planning dairy cattle barns is to determine a suitable management location. Site selection is a very important decision, as it will be difficult and costly to compensate for the mistakes made after the establishment of the enterprise. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is used in the solution of complex problems, creates a hierarchical structure in the decision-making process in the form of purpose, criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives. AHP is defined as the method of choosing the best among many alternatives. In this study, 5 main criteria (topography, land use, marketing conditions, environmental factors and infrastructure adequacy) and 20 sub-criteria were determined in order to determine suitable areas for dairy cattle barns. In order to determine the weighted values of the criteria, a total of 30 surveys were conducted with academicians who are experts in their fields, agricultural engineers working in the livestock sector and officials working on animal production in institutions.According to the results of the survey, it has been revealed that the most important criterion among the main criteria is environmental factors. Considering the paired comparison results of the sub-criteria; it was concluded that among the topography criteria, the importance levels of the slope criteria are higher than the others. Besides, land use capability among the land use criteria; milk processing potential among marketing conditions criteria; distance to settlements among environmental factors criteria; among the criteria of environmental factors, distance to settlement areas and distance to drinking water basin protection areas; among the infrastructure adequacy criteria, proximity to electricity services are higher than the others.

The aim of the following study was to compare a few methods of river regulations and indicate the one which fully meets technical regulative standard and concurrently ensures protection of the watercourse ecosystem. According to the sustainable development rules it is of the most importance in every human activity to compromise between developmental and environmental needs of current and future generations. Therefore, both technical criteria related to flood safety and environmental ones were taken into consideration in the analysis. Field study was conducted in vegetation stage between 2008 and 2014 in small and medium lowland watercourses in Lower Silesia. The research comprised of measurements and descriptions of selected technical and environmental elements of a complex system of the watercourse river bed. Basing on obtained results a multicriterial assessment of the effects of the works was conducted. In order to assess the results an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used in the study. It facilitated the creation of linear ranking of river beds and indicate the most optimal solution in terms of sustainable development. Such methods have not been applied in solving problems connected with river regulation. That’s why this study aims also at checking the utility of this method in decision making in both planning and regulation works realization. Results of the study indicate high usefulness of AHP method in the decision-making process.
Celem pracy było porównanie kilku metod regulacji rzek oraz wskazanie tej, która w maksymalnym stopniu spełnia wymagania techniczne regulacji i równocześnie zapewnia ochronę ekosystemu koryta cieku. Zgodnie z zasadami zrównoważonego rozwoju w każdej działalności człowieka bardzo ważne jest znalezienie kompromisu między rozwojowymi i środowiskowymi potrzebami obecnych i przyszłych pokoleń. Dlatego w analizie uwzględniono zarówno kryteria techniczne, związane z bezpieczeństwem powodziowym, jak i przyrodnicze. Badania terenowe wykonano w okresach wegetacyjnych w latach 2008–2014 w małych i średnich ciekach nizinnych na Dolnym Śląsku. Badania obejmowały pomiar i opis wybranych technicznych i przyrodniczych elementów złożonego systemu koryta cieku. Na podstawie wyników badań dokonano wielokryterialnej oceny skutków robót. W tym celu zastosowano metodę analizy hierarchicznej problemu (Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP). Umożliwiło to utworzenie liniowego rankingu koryt rzecznych oraz wskazanie najbardziej optymalnego rozwiązania w aspekcie zrównoważonego rozwoju. Metody tego typu nie były dotychczas stosowane w rozwiązywaniu problemów związanych z regulacją rzek. W związku z tym praca ma również na celu sprawdzenie przydatności tej metody do podejmowania decyzji na etapie planowania i realizacji robót regulacyjnych. Wyniki badań wskazały na dużą przydatność metody AHP w procesie decyzyjnym.

W referacie opisano porównanie projektów budowy farm wiatrowych będących w różnych stadiach realizacji przygotowania inwestycji. Metodą, którą wykorzystano do porównania projektów jest metodą analizy wielokryterialnej AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Referat przedstawia opis metody oraz kryteriów, pod względem których porównano projekty. Wykazano, dla którego z rozpatrywanych projektów czas zdobycia wszystkich niezbędnych decyzji i pozwoleń do uzyskania decyzji o pozwoleniu na budowę jest najkrótszy.
The article presents the comparison of wind farms construction projects which are in various stages of implementation in the project preparation. The method, which was used to compare projects, constitutes multi-criteria method of AHP analysis (Analytic Hierarchy Process). As well as this, the paper also presents the description of the method along with the description of criteria, regarding projects comparison. AHP method, although it is time-consuming one, when there are large number of the main criteria and subcriteria, is an excellent tool for analysing issues related to the analysis of the location of investment in the energy sector. The problem of decision making in AHP method can be presented in a hierarchical structure of all the main criteria, and these include: measurements of wind kinetic energy, environmental decision, local zoning plans and development rights with the aim to build a transmission line as well as a wind farm, technical requirements for power grid connection and local community in the project environment. In order to compare the above mentioned criteria, AHP method was applied, with 1 to 9 point scale. It has been shown that for P2 project, the time needed to obtain all the necessary decisions, concerning building permits, is the shortest.

There is a theory which meets a prescription of the efficient and effective multicriteria decision making support system called the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). It seems to be the most widely used approach in the world today, as well as the most validated methodology for decision making. The consistency measurement of human judgments appears to be the crucial problem in this concept. This research paper redefines the idea of the triad’s consistency within the pairwise comparison matrix (PCM) and proposes a few seminal indices for PCM consistency measurement. The quality of new propositions is then studied with application of computer simulations coded and run in Wolfram Mathematica 9.0.

Opis:
The main purpose of this article is to explain the popularity of mass religious events through the analysis of their impact on the different categories of human needs. Events are a kind of bridge between the traditional religious culture and the modern popular culture. Their popularity also stems from the fact that they can meet important needs of the individual more comprehensive than conventional forms of religiosity, which focus primarily on higher level needs. The author justifies her thesis on the basis of Maslow’s need hierarchy theory and shows how religious events can enhance and renew the traditional forms of religiosity.
