Opis:
In the present paper, the model of multi–server queueing system with random volume customers, non–identical (heterogeneous) servers and a sectorized memory buffer has been investigated. In such system, the arriving customers deliver some portions of information of a different type which means that they are additionally characterized by some random volume vector. This multidimensional information is stored in some specific sectors of a limited memory buffer until customer ends his service. In analyzed model, the arrival flow is assumed to be Poissonian, customers’ service times are independent of their volume vectors and exponentially distributed but the service parameters may be different for every server. Obtained results include general formulae for the steady–state number of customers distribution and loss probability. Special cases analysis and some numerical computations are attached as well.

In the present paper, we investigate a multi-server queueing system with heterogeneous servers, unlimited memory space, and non-homogeneous customers. The arriving customers appear according to a stationary Poisson process. Service time distribution functions may be different for every server. Customers are additionally characterized by some random volume. On every server, the service time of the customer depends on their volume. The number of customers distribution function is obtained in the classical model of the system. In the model with non-homogeneous customers, the stationary total volume distribution function is determined in the term of Laplace–Stieltjes transform. The stationary first and second moments of a total customers volume are calculated. An analysis of some special cases of the model and some numerical examples are also included.

This paper extends the growth model for a closed national economy by Zhang (2015) to a small-open economy. We attempt to explain some economic mechanisms of how the richest one per cent of the population own 50% of national wealth. We consider endogenous wealth and human capital accumulation by heterogeneous households with different preferences and learning abilities as the main determinants of growth and inequality. We describe the production technologies and economic structure on the basis of the Uzawa two-sector model. By applying Zhang’s concept of disposable income and approach to household behavior, we describe consumers’ wealth accumulation and consumption behavior. We model human capital accumulation on the basis of Arrow’s learning by doing and Zhang’s creativity with leisure. We simulate the model with three groups of the population, the rich 1 %, the middle 69%, and the poor 20%. We demonstrate the existence of an equilibrium point at which the rich 1% own more than half of the national wealth and the poor 20% less than 10% of the national wealth. We show how the system moves to the equilibrium from an initial state and confirm that the equilibrium point is stable. We also conduct comparative dynamic analysis.

Opis:
Synthesis and characterization of the graphene hydrogels with three different metallic nanoparticles, that is Au, Ag and Cu, respectively is presented. Synthesized in a one-pot approach graphene hydrogels with embedded metallic nanoparticles were tested as heterogeneous catalysts in a model reaction of 4-nitrophenol reduction. The highest activity was obtained for graphene hydrogel with Cu nanoparticles and additional reaction of methylene blued degradation was evaluated using this system. The obtained outstanding catalytic activity arises from the synergistic effect of graphene and metallic nanoparticles. The hydrogel form of the catalyst benefits in the easiness in separation from the reaction mixture (for example using tweezers) and reusability.

Roundabout entry capacity is influenced by geometric features of the roundabout, traffic flow characteristics, vehicle are checked. In comparison with the existing empirical models such as the LR942 regression model and German empirical model, the proposed regression model produced better estimates and much lower RMSE values. Approach width is found to have the highest impact on entry capacity. The entry capacity is found to be negatively influenced by entry angle. Circulating flow is considered in terms of per metre width against the usual convention. This modification incorporates the effect of circulatory roadway width also into consideration. The circulatory roadway width has a diverse effect on entry capacity at different levels of circulating flow. Modification of inscribed circle diameter and circulatory roadway width is suggested as a potential solution for improving entry capacity. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to quantify the effect of variation of entry angle, circulatory roadway width, inscribed circle diameter and approach width on entry capacity based on the non-linear model. The sensitivity plots can be used to make subtle geometric modifications to improve capacity at congested roundabouts.

Opis:
Photocatalytic degradation of reactive dye solutions have been compared using two types of heterogeneous catalysts, i.e., semiconductors and iron modified clays. Decolorization and mineralization efficiencies of the catalysts were performed in a slurry batch reactor with UVA and UVC (365 and 254 nm, respectively) light sources using reactive azo dye solutions. Two natural minerals (zeolites and beidellites) modified with Fe3+, Fe2+and semiconductors (TiO2-P25 and ZnO) were used as photocatalysts. Iron modified minerals produced similar results compared to homogeneous photo-Fenton reactions under UVC radiation. Fe2+-beidellite and Fe3+-zeolite showed the best efficiency for dye removal with 98.5% at 75 min and 96.3% at 90 min, respectively, which is higher than the other iron modified minerals under UVA radiation. ZnO and TiO2 exhibited initial dye removal rates under UVA as 98.9% and 95.5% at 45 min, respectively. Mineralization efficiencies for TiO2, ZnO and Fe2+-beidellite, Fe3+ -zeolite under UVA were 86.2%, 74.5% and 76.9%, 67.8%, respectively. However mineral catalysts performed 99% dye removal rates within 15 min with respect to semiconductor catalyst values (over 97% within 45min) under UVC radiation. Mineral catalysts and TiO2 provided higher initial TOC removal rates as 92% in 60 min under UVC radiation.

Numerical values of the NRTL equation parameters for calculation of the vapour - liquid - liquid equilibria (VLLE) at atmospheric pressures have been presented for 5 ternary mixtures. These values were fitted to the experimental VLLE and vapour - liquid equilibrium (VLE) data to describe simultaneously, as accurately as possible, the VLE and the liquid - liquid equilibria (LLE). The coefficients of this model called further NRTL-VLL were used for simulations of n-propanol dehydration via heterogeneous azeotropic distillation. The calculations performed by a ChemCAD simulator were done for 4 mixtures using hydrocarbons, ether and ester as an entrainer. In majority simulations the top streams of the azeotropic column had composition and temperature similar to the corresponding experimental values of ternary azeotropes. The agreement between the concentrations of both liquid phases formed in a decanter and the experimental values of the LLE was good for all four simulations. The energy requirements were the most advantageous for the simulation with di-npropyl ether (DNPE) and isooctane. Simulations were performed also for one mixture using the NRTL equation coefficients taken from the ChemCAD database. In that case the compositions of the liquid organic phases leaving the decanter differed significantly from the experimental LLE data.

The measured variations in burning pressure with time for a heterogeneous solid propellant with added ferromagnetic particles of size 0.2-0.5 mm are presented. The laboratory tests were conducted with and without an applied external magnetic field generated by a neodymium magnet. The magnetic induction inside the ballistic chamber in which the experiments were performed, was calculated. Variations in the recorded operating pressure reached up to 60%. At the same time it was noticed that the linear burning rate increased by 7%.

Opis:
The aim of the research was to analyse the processes of degradation observed in a similar welded joint of T91 steel. The analysis was performed for welded joints after long-term annealing for up to 8000 hours at the temperature of 600 °C. Microstructural analysis and hardness testing were performed. The purpose of the tests was to evaluate the effect of annealing time at the temperature of ageing on formation and properties of the decarburized zone in the inter-bead area of the welded joint. The study presents the results of physical examinations of the joint welded using two different filler materials (similar welded joint) after long-term effect of high temperature.
Celem badań była analiza procesów degradacji obserwowanych w złączu spawanym ze stali T91. Analizę wykonano dla połączeń spawanych po długotrwałym wyżarzaniu do 8000 godzin w temperaturze 600°C. Przeprowadzono analizę mikrostrukturalną i badania twardości. Celem badań była ocena wpływu czasu wyżarzania w temperaturze starzenia na powstawanie i właściwości strefy odwęglonej w obszarze międzyściegowym złącza spawanego.

Aiming at resolving the technical bottlenecks existing in current warp knitting machine control systems, such as the distributed industrial wireless networked control system, in this study the architecture of a warp knitting machine industrial wireless networked control system based on the WIA-PA international standard is proposed which provides a design idea for building a „smart factory”. Secondly, according to the WIA-PA specification, an allocation plan of time slots in a super-frame for intra-cluster and inter-cluster communication is given. Third, in order to enhance the real-time access of equipment, expand the network capacity, and reduce the energy consumption of the system, based on the carrier sense multiple access (CSMA) mechanism supported by IEEE STD 802.1 5.4:2006, an adjustment algorithm of the super-frame structure based on fuzzy control was designed. The effectiveness of the design method was verified by simulation.
Mając na celu rozwiązanie technicznych wąskich gardeł istniejących w obecnych systemach sterowania maszynami do dziania osnowowego zaproponowano projekt adaptacyjnego algorytmu planowania dla osnowarki oparty na teorii zbiorów rozmytych spełniający wymagania międzynarodowego standardu WIA-PA. Skuteczność metody projektowania zweryfikowano za pomocą symulacji.

SCMNPs@Uridine/Zn is utilized as an environmental-friendly and efficient heterogeneous nanocatalyst for two one-pot four-component condensation reactions, containing hydrazine hydrate, arylaldehyde, ethyl acetoacetate, and barbituric acid to yield tricyclic fused pyrazolopyranopyrimidine derivatives (5a-q), and hydrazine hydrate, arylaldehyde, malononitrile, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate/diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate to yield 3-methyl carboxylate substituted pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives (8a-y) under solvent-free conditions with high to excellent yields. The main advantages of this process are easy work-up, short reaction times, no chromatographic purifications, and recyclability of the catalyst for a minimum of six runs without any signifcant decrease in yields of the products. Also, the prepared catalyst SCMNPs@Uridine/Zn was synthesized and fully characterized by various techniques including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and Raman spectroscopy.

Opis:
Heterogeneous gold catalysis is a relatively young but dynamically developing field of chemistry. At the end of the 1980s, Masatake Haruta and Graham Hutchings provided experimental evidence of high activity of supported gold catalysts in CO oxidation and acetylene hydrochlorination. Thus, these two researchers challenged the prevailing chemists’ belief that gold is almost completely chemically inert and catalytically inactive. Since then, gold catalysis has been constantly in the centre of attention of a wide array of scientists from around the world. However, there are still many questions about the nature of catalysts containing this noble metal, which inspires in-depth research in this field. From among various potential supports for gold heterogeneous catalysts, zeolites have drawn much attention thanks to several unique properties of this group of materials, among which the most important are high thermal stability and the presence of a system of pores of strictly defined sizes. Zeolites have extremely large surface area, which is desirable to obtain high dispersion of the active phase. The article provides a concise overview of the methods of gold nanoparticles deposition on zeolitic supports and catalytic applications of such materials. The first chapter sheds light on the properties of bulk and nano-sized Au and depicts the background of gold catalysis development. In the following part, a brief description of zeolites and their properties is delivered. The third chapter is devoted entirely to the description of several preparation methods of zeolite-supported gold catalysts and their applications in different catalytic processes. The following post-synthetic methods of zeolite modification with gold are described: impregnation, ion exchange, deposition-reduction, chemical vapour deposition, and grafting. The most important advantages and disadvantages of each method are summarized. The article concludes with a résumé of literature reports concerning the use of zeolitesupported gold catalysts in various processes. Special attention was paid to selective oxidation of alcohols and biomass-derived chemicals (e.g. glucose).

Artykuł przedstawia różnorodne formy muzyki (klasycznej i popularnej) i sposoby ich zastosowania w dramatach Tadeusza Różewicza. Autorka poddaje weryfikacji opinię o wizualnym charakterze Różewiczowskiego teatru, wskazując, że sfera audialna (jakości foniczne języka, mikrodramaturgia zdarzeń dźwiękowych i projektowana muzyka) często odgrywa w aranżowaniu percepcji odbiorców równie istotną rolę jak obraz sceniczny. Korzystając z metod badań intermedialnych, wydobywa dramaturgiczny potencjał muzycznych intertekstów, niosących znaczenia dialogujące z tekstem lub nieprzekazywane przez słowo. Pokazuje możliwości użycia muzyki jako autorskiego komentarza, tworzącej w powiązaniu z metateatralnością środowisko sprzyjające satyrze, parodii, grotesce. Prawidłowością sztuk Różewicza jest usytuowanie elementów muzycznych na nieostrej granicy pomiędzy macierzystym kontekstem utworu a aktywizowanymi przez nie kontekstami kulturowymi. Zarazem nowoczesne, kompleksowe podejście do sfery brzmieniowej prowadzi nieraz do zacierania jakościowych różnic między zjawiskami akustycznymi, a w rezultacie – do emancypacji przestrzeni dźwiękowej rozumianej nie jako wynik zerwania więzi z obrazem, lecz jako zdolność do wnoszenia odmiennych sensów, nieredukowalnych do jego znaczeń.
This article presents the varied forms of music (classical and popular) as well as their applications in the theatre plays of Tadeusz Różewicz. Its author contests the hypothesis that Różewicz’s theatre is visual in nature, demonstrating that its aural qualities (phonetic characteristics of language, microdramatic properties of aural events, and the projected music) play no less important a role in engineering the audience’s perceptions than the visual aspects. Using the methodology of intermediality studies, she brings out the dramatic potential of musical intertextualities that come into dialogue with the text or that cannot be expressed by the spoken word; she shows how music can become the playwright’s side note, which can be satirical, parodistic, or grotesque in its metatheatrical nature. Musical elements in Różewicz’s plays are typically straddling the boundaries between the original context of the play and the cultural contexts evoked by those elements. At the same time, the modern, multifaceted approach to the aural aspect often leads to blurring the lines between the acoustic phenomena and, consequently, to the emancipation of the aural space—an emancipation that is not a secession from the visual but a new quality with new meanings that cannot be borne out of the visual.

Opis:
The article investigates causes and conditions of downtime of automobile and excavator complex in iron ore open mines in the structure of the multi-type fleet of dump trucks. The formulas for determining the downtime trucks of different carrying capacity allocated to a single excavator. In this article will find out the regularities of formation wasting time waiting at the loading multi-type structure of the park trucks.
Рассмотрены причины и условия возникновения простоев автомобильно-экскаваторного комплекса в железорудных карьерах при разнотипной структуре парка самосвалов. Приведены расчетные формулы для определения простоев самосвалов разной грузоподъемности, направляемых к одному экскаватору. Установлены закономерности формирования потерь времени на ожидания погрузки при разнотипной структуре парка самосвалов.

Opis:
The work is devoted to the obtaining of co-oligomers from the byproducts of ethylene production. The above products were obtained using heterogeneous acidic catalysts having the nature of silica-alumina. The specific surface area of the catalysts was defined by methylene blue adsorption method. The yields and properties of the products obtained in the presence of various catalysts were analyzed. The relationship between the structure of the catalyst and its effectiveness in the co-oligomerization process was analyzed.
