Opis:
The quest is analyzed as an innovative learning method that provides the development of creativity, cognitive flexibility, emotional intelligence of a person and meets teamwork that is especially important for IT professionals. The components and stages of quest-technology application are described. It is noted that the quest, in addition to the knowledge gained, gives students an understanding of the processes of group dynamics, behavioral patterns in the system of interpersonal relations. A quest-plan that has been developed can be used as a template for building quests. The example of components of the developed quest for students of the specialty Software Engineering with the specified features of each component is given. The proposed example can be used as a recommendation for constructing quests.

Opis:
The current stage of mature gas fields exploitation is characterized by increasing the efforts for maintaining the wells in production, in order to maximize the gas recovery factor in conditions of economic profitability. In this respect, a permanent concern of the specialists in this domain is represented by the adjustment of the compression capacities with the dynamics of the energetic parameters of every well belonging to these fields. This assumes the compression units installing as close to the well head in order to decrease the dynamic pressure, allowing the gas ratę increasing. On the other hand, decreasing the dynamic pressure at the well head, results also in reducing the minimum gas rate necessary for removal the liquid accumulated at the wells bottom, avoiding thereby the risk of the wells flooding. The pilot project of installing the portable compressors at the level of some gas groups operated by Romgaz, was a real success, the future perspectives regarding the production enhancing and revenue growth, based on this technology, being certainly.

Opis:
Every new car should be equipped with the catalyst, which limits the amount of harmful chemical compounds such as NOx, CH and CO emitted to the air. Auto catalyst consists of the ceramic or metallic carrier, on which is the layer with Platinum Group Metals playing catalytic role. There are many methods using for recovery those valuable metals from spent auto catalyst, however evry of those methods have some limitations. Proces described in the article is the modified method of metal collector, which used magnetohydrodynamic pump. Rotary electromagnetic field generates in the liquid metal rotary current, which as a consequence washing out the PGM metals from the ceramic carriers. Considering the possibilities of commercialization of the described method, the energy balance was made. From that balance the energetic efficiency of the unit was determined and the analysis of the temperature distribution was shown thermographycally.

Opis:
Recently, the authors proposed a geometrically exact beam finite element formulation on the Lie group SE(3). Some important numerical and theoretical aspects leading to a computationally efficient strategy were obtained. For instance, the formulation leads to invariant equilibrium equations under rigid body motions and a locking free element. In this paper we discuss some important aspects of this formulation. The invariance property of the equilibrium equations under rigid body motions is discussed and brought out in simple analytical examples. The discretization method based on the exponential map is recalled and a geometric interpretation is given. Special attention is also dedicated to the consistent interpolation of the velocities.
W ostatnim czasie autorzy zaproponowali geometrycznie dokładne sformułowanie dla belkowego elementu skończonego w oparciu o formalizm grupy Liego SE(3). Otrzymano szereg istotnych wyników numerycznych i teoretycznych prowadzących do efektywnej strategii obliczeniowej. Właściwość niezmienniczości równań równowagi w warunkach ruchu ciała sztywnego przedyskutowano i zilustrowano prostymi przykładami analitycznymi. Przypomniano metodę dyskretyzacji opartą na mapowaniu wykładniczym i pokazano jej interpretację geometryczną. Specjalną uwagę poświęcono zgodnej interpolacji prędkości.

Opis:
Research background: The most important indicators that describe the situation on the labour market are the unemployment rate and the unemployment duration. If both these indicators are high, then the human capital deteriorates. Therefore, it seems justified to analyse the mutual relationships between them. Purpose of the article: The article aims at finding the relationships between the unemployment rate and the unemployment duration, and checking if the mutual courses of these two indicators in the Visegrad Group countries are connected with each other. Methods: The business cycle clock methodology will be used to analyse the relationship between the unemployment rate and the median unemployment duration. Next, the similarity of the course of these two indicators will be analysed by means of the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) technique. Findings & Value added: Amongst the analysed countries, Czechia, Poland and Slovakia were, to a certain degree, similar with respect to the mutual course of the unemployment rate and the unemployment duration. Until the peak of the financial crisis in 2009, the unemployment rate and the unemployment duration decreased. During the next years, the unemployment rate was increasing and after 2-3 years it was followed by the increase of the unemployment duration. The situation improved after the year 2013 ? both indicators were decreasing. In Hungary, on the contrary, the unemployment rate was increasing or steady until 2012, and during the following years it started to decrease. However, the course of the unemployment duration was completely different than in remaining countries. The value added of the article is application of the business clock cycle and the Dynamic Time Warping technique in finding the relationships and similarity of courses between the unemployment rate and the unemployment duration.

Opis:
Dynamic ad hoc networks facilitate interconnections between mobile devices without the support of any network infrastructure. In this paper, we propose a secure identity-based ad hoc protocol for mobile devices to construct a group key for a setup of a secure communication network in an efficient way and support dynamic changing of network topology. Unlike group key management protocols proposed previously in the literature, mobile devices can use our protocol to construct the group key by observing the others' identity, like the MAC address, which distinguishes the device from the others. In contrast to other interactive protocols, we only need one broadcast to setup the group key and member removal is also highly efficient. Finally, we discuss the security issues and provide security proofs for our protocol.

Opis:
In conditions of unit and small batch production a very important role is played by time of product availability for the customer. Despite using modern management techniques setup time still play an important role in the production cycle time. In the examined companies the relation between rearmament times to processing times is still high. The above researches inspired the author to prepare the method of setup times’ reduction through proper arrangement of tasks in the operational production plan. Optimization of the daily production plans is based on two-level division of scheduling and arranging tasks. The method was validated in conditions of the production practice for unit and small batch manufacturing. An example of arranging tasks for the laser cutter was given. The presented method is one of elements of the computer aided expert system for SME.
