L’auteur du présent article se pose pour but d’apporer la résponse à une question qui continue d’être l’objet de controverse: des mots tels que ʽădat-ʼel, ělōhîm ou benê eliōn doivent-ils être interprétés littéralement, dans lequel cas ils signifieraient les dieux des paiens, ou parlent-ils, de façon métaphorique, des juges injustes? Ayant examiné, de façon critique, l’interprétation littérale et se basant sur des textes tels que Ex. 21, 6 et 22, 7, Ex. 18, 13-27, Deut. 1, 9-18 et sur le Psaume 45, 7, l’auteur penche pour Interprétation métaphorique. L’analyse du contenu du Psaume 82 semble confirmer une telle opinion. Cependant, dans la représentation du jugement de Jahw e sur les juges injustes, l’auteur du Psaume 82 se servit de quantité d’images de mythologie autre qu’israélienne pour évoquer l’apparition future de Jahwe jugeant l’lsraël.

The Aramaic expression ”rûah.’ĕlāhîn qaddîszîn” is commonly translated, following Heronymus’ Vulgate as „spirit of holy gods”. It has also a more profound sense, as pointed by the context of Dn 4, 5. It says that a prophet takes a particular part in the gifts of God and knows the hidden sense of events. Such an understanding of the „holy spirit” prepares for the reception of the whole of revelation in the Books of the New Testament.

The purpose of the essay is to study the theological meaning of the verses Gen. 49, 3-17. 19-27. The conducted research shows that they contain lively, numbered among the crucial ones, historio-salutary ideas, including the Messianic ones. Their leading theological message, seen in its general outline by looking at it through the closest literary context of the verses (I), finds its detailed meaning, which is deepened, when one looks into its structure (II), and finally in its content (III). It can be formulated as follows:− owing to God’s Providence the once separate tribal societies unified into a monolithic community of the people of Jhwh, however, keeping its individuality;− the individuality is expressed in, among others, each member of Israel having a mission to accomplish, a mission given to him by God himself;− Juda’s vocation appears exceptional, when viewed against other ones, as it remains in direct relation with realizing God's plan of salvation;− the aim of the plan is removing the sin and its results as well as introducing universal peace and happiness

Abstract mathematical formulae are our “mother tongue”, thanks to which we are able to develop a creative dialogue with our physical environment. The application of the language of mathematics gives us access to valuable information about events which occurred billions years ago and so allows us to reconstruct the history of the universe. This amazing property of nature inspires a non-trivial philosophical question: Why are there the mathematically described universal laws of physics at all, when nature could have been only an uncoordinated disorder? The existence of the universal laws of nature seems to constitute the essence of the ontological structure of the world. Various authors call this basic field of formal structures – the matrix of the universe, the field of rationality, the formal field, the Logos, the Absolute, etc. Jan Łukasiewicz, the well-known representative of the Polish School of Logic, argued that the reality of ideal mathematical structures independent of human experience could be regarded as an expression of God’s presence in nature. Regardless of our terminological preferences, this structure can be regarded as a basic level of physical reality where the necessitarian interpretation of the laws of nature is confirmed and the astonishing effectiveness of mathematics could be explained.

A proof for God’s existence, inspired by Duns Scotus’s Tractatus de primo principio, is analyzed. The conclusion is based on three premises arranged in the matrix of a specific modal logic. The premises are: 1. it is possible for the world to be created by God; 2. if the world is created by God, then God exists; 3. if God exists, then God exists necessarily. In comparison to the original Scotus’s work the concept of essential order has been removed and replaced with a concept of creation. Modal expressions of the proof have been analyzed with an application of essentialism of Aristotle and Ibn Sina – the version of essentialism accepted by Scotus. Scotus’s underlying modal logic has been reconstructed and discussed in two versions: 1. as a modal logic with one pair of natural modalities; 2. as a multimodal logic with two pairs of modalities – natural and logical. The concept of natural modality is based on the essentialism discussed, the concept of logical modality is based on Scotus’s idea of non repugnantia terminorum.

W artykule została podjęta próba odpowiedzi na pytanie czy podstawowa formacja kandydata do chrztu, mająca na celu odsunięcie się od niechrześcijańskich obyczajów i przemianę stylu życia nie prowadzi go do izolowania się od apostolskiego zaangażowania w świecie. Czy doświadczenie włączenia we wspólnotę braci i sióstr dostępujących zbawienia skoncentrowane jest na budowaniu własnej wspólnoty, czy też staje się źródłem płodnej proegzystencji wobec świata, na wzór Chrystusa? Skoro droga wtajemniczenia chrześcijańskiego związana jest ściśle z odrzuceniem dotychczasowego, niechrześcijańskiego stylu życia i wartościowania, to może zrodzić się u neofity pokusa izolacji od złego świata, zamknięcie wewnątrz chrześcijańskiej wspólnoty. Na podstawie analizy poszczególnych obrzędów Chrześcijańskiego wtajemniczenia dorosłych zostało w artykule wykazane, iż katechumen z jednej strony jest wezwany do porzucenia świata i uczynków ciemności, z drugiej zaś Kościół wzywa go do bezinteresownego zaangażowania na rzecz przemiany świata. Kościół nie tworzy wspólnoty zamkniętej w sobie. Poprzez liturgię: słuchanie słowa Bożego, modlitwy, błogosławieństwa i egzorcyzmy katechumen otrzymuje odpowiednia do tego pomoc.
This paper seeks to answer the question about the basic formation of a candidate for baptism. This formation is supposed to drive him away from non-Christian customs and change his lifestyle. The point is whether it might lead to isolation from apostolical commitment in the world. Is the experience of receiving someone into the fellowship of brothers and sisters that obtain salvation concentrated on building one’s own fellowship, or else it becomes a source of fertile pro-existence towards the world as modelled on Christ? Since the way of Christian initiation is strictly connected with the rejection of current non- Christian lifestyle and valuing, the neophyte may be tempted to isolate himself from the evil world and close himself within his Christian fellowship. On the basis of an analysis of particular rites of Christian initiation of adults it has been demonstrated that the catechumen on the one hand is called upon to throw off the world and the works of darkness, and on the other hand the Church calls upon him to disinterested commitment on behalf of the transformation of the world. The Church does not form a closed fellowship. Through the Liturgy, listening to the word of God, prayer, blessing and exorcisms the catechumen receives respective help.

Polityczna teologia Dietricha Bonhoeffera, jednego z najbardziej popularnych i wpływowych teologów XX wieku, stanowi doktrynalną bazę jego walki przeciwko niemieckiemu państwu narodowo-socjalistycznemu. Bonhoeffer należał do ważniejszych postaci Kościoła Wyznającego (Bekennende Kirche), struktury, która funkcjonowała jako wewnętrzne opozycja wobec oficjalnej postawy Kościoła luterańskiego w Niemczech, sprzyjającej raczej Hitlerowi. Główny rysy teologii politycznej powstały w latach 1933-1936, a więc w okresie zdobywania władzy przez narodowych socjalistów. Bonhoeffer poddaje krytyce tradycyjne rozumienie Reformacyjnej doktryny relacji między państwem i Kościołem, przekazującej temu pierwszemu ogół kompetencji związanych z porządkiem ziemskim. Wskazuje na luterskie zastrzeżenie o granicy ludzkiego sumienia, której państwo nie może przekroczyć. Wprowadzone już w początkach rządów Hitlera „paragrafy aryjskie” oraz „zasada wodza”, a więc konkretne akty legislacyjne, radykalnie zaprzeczają chrześcijańskiemu Objawieniu. Zmuszają Kościół luterański jako instytucję, po raz pierwszy właściwie w historii, do wyjścia z układu podziału kompetencji, jaką tworzyła doktryna o dwóch Regimentach i do przeciwstawienia się władzy świeckiej. Polityczna teologia Bonhoeffera jest teoretycznym odbiciem myślenia społeczeństwa niemieckiego w latach trzydziestych. Jest również świadectwem teologa, który później rozwinie program radykalnej chrystologii we współczesnym świecie, a swoją postawę przypłaci życiem.

The main point is presentation of J. Hick’s conception of religious faith freedom and her critics. On this ground article put questions to catholic’s theology. Hick say that faith is experiencing-as, and has almost infinite freedom. God can't to force to believe Him. From the other side. Hick consider that person like Jesus had huge awareness of God’s, that it was no place for freedom. Authors like Perret, Henze, Cheetham try to analyze Hik’s conception. They shows few contradictions and new problems.

The article suggests a reinterpretation of the titulary of God’s Anointed One in Isa 9,5b-6a. Based on a detailed analysis of the inscription of this text in the Qumran Isaiah scroll (QIsaa) and in the oldest Masoretic manuscripts also in their relation to biblical onomastics, a triple division of royal titulary, different from the hitherto accepted ones, is proposed which in the intent of the biblical author was to reflect the qualities of an ideal king. This triple division refers to the king’s wisdom as a mediator between God and the people („A Wonderful Counselor is God”), his role as a commander who fights in the name of the Divine protector („Mighty is the Everlasting Father”) and as a guardian who watches over the fate of the community entrusted to his care („The Divine Companion is the Master of Prosperity”). This image is confirmed by extrabiblical texts especially by the sources from Ugarit, where the kings used a similar titulary - both in the aspect of form as well as content.

Cyril of Alexandria did not treat the problem of God’s transcendence and immanence as extensively and profoundly as did John Chrysostom, due to the fact that the question was not as relevant in Cyril’s time as is was in the time of Chrysostom. However, the ideas of the latter are present in the writings of Cyril, who draws a distinction between the inner being of God and His work. This similarity can be traced in two main points. First, God in His essential nature surpasses everything. This inner life of God is above and beyond any knowledge and reach, any concept and reasoning. All that we know about the nature of God is that He acts in the world and this action is performed by the Father through the Son in the Spirit. Second, in order to outline God’s action, Cyril uses the terms „power” and „energy” indistinguishably. For both authors the method of antinomy is a primary system of coordinates in which they combine the two fundamentally opposite poles of God’s being: the transcendent and the immanent. So, in this point the Oriental Theological Schools of Alexandria and Antioch are internally consonant.

In my article I have presented the literary images of non-Christian gods, as well as the image of the Christian God functioning on the pages of a novel from the times of the medieval Krajna, Stolemowe Znamię by Konrad Kaczmarek. The subject of my analysis were the language means of creating particular figures. The research reference for my article was the theory of the linguistic world-image by Jerzy Bartmiński. The article has been divided into parts in which I took a look at the language image of each pagan god, focusing on its rich vocabulary and semantics. The next stage was the reflection on the literary creation of the Christian God, which is poorly developed and contains mainly vague and enigmatic expressions.

Looking at the modern events shouldn't we claim that it is impossible to create the positive order of the world there where the human souls are running wild? This strict but at the same time full of realism statement of the Head of the Catholic Church taken from the encyclical on the Christian hope has often appeared in the social teaching of the Church in the recent years, it is repeated in a different form during the Benedict XVI's meetings with the high and mighty of this world and the faithful. This „decline of the souls” is the first reason for the economic crisis. It is a challenge which must be faced by the goodwill people. The rejection of the natural law and the God's law expressed in the Decalogue does not make a human being happier but it introduces divisions, social conflicts and the exploitation. Therefore, the moral revival of people and societies, the respect for human dignity and people's natural rights must go hand in hand with the wise political and economic activities in order to solve the modern „social issue”. Without the moral revival, all other solutions, which can be expected looking for example, at the Polish political scene after the last election, sooner or later will turn against the human being and will cause the irretrievable social damage.

Opis:
Parables as a literary genre were a favorite form used by Jesus. The essence of every parable is a comparison, a parabola, a juxtaposition of a certain fragment of reality with an aspect of the Kingdom of God. The German biblical scholar Robert Funk has made a new approach to the interpretation of parables, which consists in a metaphorical interpretation of Jesus’ narration. Metaphors join together even extreme ideas creating new, figurative descriptions of reality. Such collections of metaphors create the so-called „image fields”. The metaphoric interpretation of parables, according to Funk, gives grater possibilities of interpretation, a wider use of the same parable in relation to different aspects of life. Using the metaphoric method of interpreting parables one must observe the principles of biblical hermeneutics and the principles of theology. Such a new approach to the interpretation of parables is very creative for the homilist, who in preaching the word of God is obliged to interpret it and bring it up to date. It depends on him whether or not his listeners hear God’s word and adhere to it, taking up the call placed before them. This article is an attempt to use metaphorical interpretation as regards the parable of the wise and foolish maidens in the light of matrimonial themes. In its content it touches the issue of the essence of parables as a literary genre. Next it presents the main message and the symbolism of the passage and gives suggestions of themes connected with matrimony.
