Opis:
The paper presents a one-dimensional mathematical model for simulating the transient processes which occur in the liquid flat-plate solar collector tubes. The proposed method considers the model of collector tube as one with distributed parameters. In the suggested method one tube of the collector is taken into consideration. In this model the boundary conditions can be time-dependent. The proposed model is based on solving the equation describing the energy conservation on the fluid side. The temperature of the collector tube wall is determined from the equation of transient heat conduction. The derived differential equations are solved using the implicit finite difference method of iterative character. All thermo-physical properties of the operating fluid and the material of the tube wall can be computed in real time. The time-spatial heat transfer coefficient at the working fluid side can be also computed on-line. The proposed model is suitable for collectors working in a parallel or serpentine tube arrangement. As an illustration of accuracy and effectiveness of the suggested method the computational verification was carried out. It consists in comparing the results found using the presented method with results of available analytic solutions for transient operating conditions. Two numerical analyses were performed: for the tube with temperature step function of the fluid at the inlet and for the tube with heat flux step function on the outer surface. In both cases the conformity of results was very good. It should be noted, that in real conditions such rapid changes of the fluid temperature and the heat flux of solar radiation, as it was assumed in the presented computational verification, do not occur. The paper presents the first part of the study, which aim is to develop a mathematical model for simulating the transient processes which occur in liquid flat-plate solar collectors. The experimental verification of the method is a second part of the study is not presented in this paper. In order to perform this verification, the mathematical model would be completed with additional energy conservation equations. The experimental verification will be carry out in the close future.

Within the theory of linear magnetoelectroelasticity, the fracture analysis of a magneto - electrically dielectric crack embedded in a magnetoelectroelastic layer is investigated. The prescribed displacement, electric potential and magnetic potential boundary conditions on the layer surfaces are adopted. Applying the Hankel transform technique, the boundary - value problem is reduced to solving three coupling Fredholm integral equations of second kind. These equations are solved exactly. The corresponding semi - permeable crack - face magnetoelectric boundary conditions are adopted and the electric displacement and magnetic induction of crack interior are obtained explicitly. This field inside the crack is dependent on the material properties, applied loadings, the dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability of crack interior, and the ratio of the crack length and the layer thickness. Field intensity factors are obtained as explicit expressions.

Opis:
Introduction and aim: This paper shows the analytical and numerical solutions of some not exact differential equations. Some short description of a search procedure for integral factor in all three cases has been shown in the considerations. The main aim of this paper is to use Mathematica program to solve the not exact differential equations. Material and methods: In the paper have been analyzed exact differential equation and four not exact differential equations. In order to solve not exact differential equations and create some graphs of obtained solutions has been applied Mathematica program. Analytical and numerical methods have been used in the paper. Results: In the case of integrating factor which dependent on two variables has been shown the way of its searching by using some expectation method. In particular case, when integrating factor has form μ(x,y)=xayb the quantities a and b we can find by solving a system of two linear equations with unknown values a and b. Conclusion: Program Mathematica allows us to look, for more difficult cases, some integrating factor dependent on two variables x and y by using a expectation method.
Wstęp i cele: W pracy pokazano rozwiązania analityczne dla równań różniczkowych niezupełnych. Przestawiono krótki opis procedury szukania czynnika całkującego we wszystkich trzech przypadkach.

Opis:
The magnetoelectroelastic analysis of two bonded dissimilar piezo-electro-magneto-elastic ceramics with a crack perpendicular to and terminating at the interface is made. By using the Fourier integral transform (in perpendicular directions in each materials), the mixed boundary conditions and continuity conditions are transformed to a singular integral equation with generalized Cauchy kernel, the solution of which has been well studied, and classical methods are directly applicable here to obtain the closed form solution. The results are presented for a permeable crack under anti-plane shear loading and in-plane electric and magnetic loadings, as prescribed electric displacement and magnetic inductions or electric and magnetic fields. The results indicate that the magnetoelectroelastic field near the crack tip in the homogeneous PEMO- elastic ceramic is dominated by a traditional inverse square-root singularity, while the coupled field near the crack tip at the interface exhibits the singularity of the power law r--α , r being the distance from the interface crack tip and α depending on the material constants of a bimaterial. In particular, electric and magnetic fields have no singularity at the crack tip in a homogeneous solid, whereas they are singular around the interface crack tip. Numerical results are given graphically to show the effects of the material properties on the singularity order, field intensity factors and energy release rates. The results presented in this paper should have potential applications to the design of multilayered magnetoelectroelastic structures.

Opis:
Rank Controlled Differential Quadrature method is a numerical method that allows to approximate the partial derivatives that appears in partial differential equations. Those equations with proper geometrical, physical, initial and boundary conditions make mathematical models of physical process. The heat transfer process is governed by Fourier–Kirchhoff equation, which is parabolic Partial Differential Equation. In this paper authors present the steel plate cooling problem. At the beginning of the process plate is heated up to 450 °C and is cooled to ambient temperature. The cooling of the plate is basic heat transfer problem. If the plates dimensions has proper proportions such problem may be described as one dimensional and solved exactly. The mathematical model and exact solution is given in the work. Authors apply the Rank Controlled Differential Quadrature to approximate derivatives in Fourier–Kirchhoff equation and in boundary conditions. After changing derivatives into quadrature formulation set of algebraic equations is obtained. Substituting thermo-physical parameters numerical model is obtained. The computer program was prepared to solve the problem numerically. Results of simulation are confronted with the exact ones. Error value at each time step as well as error value increase rate for examined numerical method is analyzed.

Opis:
The paper describes an analytical study of open twonode (tandem) network models with blocking. Here, a specific tandem configuration is chosen: the first node is treated as an infinite server (IS - often referred to as the ample-server), meaning that any incoming task can find at least one empty line for service in this node, and the second node has several parallel lines that can serve input task streams simultaneously. Between these two nodes there is a buffer with finite capacity. In this type of network, if the buffer is full, the accumulation of new tasks by the second node is temporarily suspended (blocking factor) and tasks must wait at the first node until the transmission process is resumed. In this paper, the two-node model is investigated using two different methods. The first is the multi-step exact algorithm, involving a numerical part for solving a set of linear equations, and the second is an approximate algorithm using a product form solution. The numerical part is used for solving a system of linear equations and for calculating the state probability vector. Finally, after comparing both algorithms, some recommendations as to when each method can be used are given.

The linear 3D piezoelasticity theory along with active damping control (ADC) strategy are applied for non-stationary vibroacoustic response suppression of a doubly fluid-loaded functionally graded piezolaminated (FGPM) composite hollow cylinder of infinite length under general time-varying excitations. The control gain parameters are identified and tuned using Genetic Algorithm (GA) with a multi-objective performance index that constrains the key elasto-acoustic system parameters and control voltage. The uncontrolled and controlled time response histories due to a pair of equal and opposite impulsive external point loads are calculated by means of Durbin’s numerical inverse Laplace transform algorithm. Numerical simulations demonstrate the superior (good) performance of the GA-optimized distributed active damping control system in effective attenuation of sound pressure transients radiated into the internal (external) acoustic space for two basic control configurations. Also, some interesting features of the transient fluid-structure interaction control problem are illustrated via proper 2D time domain images and animations of the 3D sound field. Limiting cases are considered and accuracy of the formulation is established with the aid of a commercial finite element package as well as comparisons with the current literature.

The solution for a multifield material subjected to temperature loading in a circular region is presented in an explicit analytical form. The study concerns the steady – state thermal loading infinite region (heated embedded inclusion), half – space region and two – constituent magneto – electro – thermo – elastic material region. The new mono – harmonic potential functions, obtained by the author, are used in the analysis of punch problem. The more interested case in which the contact region is annular is analyzed. By using the methods of triple integraf equations and series solution technique the solution for an indentured multifield substrate over an annular contact region is given. The sensitivity analysis of obtained indentation parameters shows some interesting points. In particular, it shows that the increasing of the applied electric and magnetic potentials reduces the indentation depth in multifield materials.
