    Opis:
    Artykuł dotyczy filozoficznej idei „myśli słabej” włoskiego filozofa postmodernistycznego, Gianniego Vattima, która może być traktowana jako sposób hermeneutycznej interpretacji faktów kulturowych, z edukacyjnymi włącznie. Słabą myśl charakteryzuje Vattimo na tle dwóch wielkich nurtów filozoficznych: dialektyki i filozofii różnicy. Jest to taki typ refleksji, który z jednej strony poszukuje dla siebie normatywnych punktów oparcia, z drugiej zaś przyznaje im prowizoryczny status, pozbawiając się przywileju uniwersalistycznych roszczeń. Wspomniana koncepcja ukazuje związki między etyką i hermeneutyką, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem etyki otwartej kontynuacji. Podkreśla ona również możliwość osłabienia kolonizującej mocy „mocnego” (nowoczesnego i naukowego) dyskursu w pedagogice. Do prawdy (prawdy pozbawionej metafizycznego gruntu) można również dotrzeć na drodze nienaukowej, która sprzeciwia się scjentyzmowi i wiedzie przez interpretację.
    The article refers to a philosophical idea of “weak thought”, grounded by Italian postmodern philosopher, Gianni Vattimo, which can be seen as a hermeneutical interpretation of cultural facts, including educational ones. Vattimo shows the idea of “weak thought” at the background of two big philosophical streams: dialectic and philosophy of difference. It is a type of reflection, which seeks normative anchorages for itself on the one hand, but gives them provisional status on the other hand, depriving itself of the privilege of universalistic claims. The abovementioned concept reveals the relationships between ethics and hermeneutics, in which the ethics of open continuation is privileged. It also underlines the possibility of weakening the colonizing power of the “strong” (modern and scientific) discourse in the pedagogy. Towards the truth (the truth devoid of the metaphysics) one can reach also through the unscientific path, which stands against the scientism and leads through the area of interpretation.

    Opis:
    Vattimo is an author of so-called radicalized hermeneutics. In it he refers creatively to the counter-metaphysical nihilism of Nietzsche and Heidegger. He is accompanied by an intention of radicalization (weakening) both these positions with hope for clearing them of the remains of metaphysical thinking. The nihilistic accomplishment of hermeneutics Vattimo combines with its transition to the ethical position. However he polemizes with approaches, which develop “an ethical vocation” of hermeneutics either in the direction of the ethics of communication (like Habermas), or in the direction of the ethics of redescription (like Rorty), or in the direction of the ethics of continuation (like Gadamer). In their place Vattimo suggests the ethics of interpretation, which is rather ethics of goods than ethics of obligations. It is a kind of a retrospective (historical), pluralistic, relativistic ethics with a preference for the value of freedom.

    Opis:
    This essay presents a polemic against the anthropology of literature. The author examines the relation between the ethics of interpretation and the discourse of the anthropology of literature as well as cultural studies. She also shows theoretical conditions under which a textual subject appears to be weak and passive and thus becomes just a field in which a researcher can inscribe various cultural identities. In this way a researcher tries to restitute the subject after its poststructural “death”, but he/she might do that only by mediation through social and cultural identities, which he/she actually examines. On the practical level this entanglement causes a situation in which writers and artists create works that fulfill institutional expectations. It would be therefore necessary to establish to what extent an anthropological approach towards a text enables us to invent new models of subjectivity. Without this it would be difficult to consider literary/cultural studies to be a truly critical discipline based on independent, yet collaborative reflection to be found in theoretical and artistic texts alike.
