Opis:: Sheet metal forming is a critical process in the manufacturing industry, which involves shaping sheet metal into desired configurations and structures. The use of digital tools in the lifecycle management of sheet metal forming tools has become increasingly important to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the process. The digital model of tool lifecycle management (TLM) in sheet metal forming provides a complete approach to manage the entire lifecycle of tools used in sheet metal forming. It enables optimization of tool design, simulation of the tooling process, real-time monitoring of tool conditions, and retirement and replacement of tools. This approach improves efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures optimal performance in sheet metal forming. The paper presents an elaborate analysis of the development of TLM models concerning the progress in ICT modelling and its implementation in the field of sheet metal forming. Furthermore, the paper includes an exemplary TLM model for an industrial enterprise.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych technologii informatycznych wykorzystywanych w logistyce wojskowej. Są to między innymi: bezzałogowe statki powietrzne, systemy ERP i BMS, Sztuczna Inteligencja. Osiąganie celów militarnych bez narażania życia żołnierzy jest możliwe dzięki wykorzystaniu bezzałogowych statków powietrznych. Systemy ERP i BMS wspierają optymalizację procesów zarządzania zasobami i podejmowanie decyzji na polu bitwy. Z kolei stosowanie Sztucznej Inteligencji podnosi potencjał bojowy armii poprzez zautomatyzowanie systemów dowodzenia w trakcie prowadzenia działań wojennych. Niniejszy artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy.
The purpose of the article is to introduce certain information technologies used in military logistics, like drones, ERP and BMS systems and Artificial Intelligence. ERP and BMS systems support the process optimisation of resource management and decision-making on the frontline. The use of Artificial Intelligence increases the military's combat capability by automating command systems during wartime operations. The achievement of military objectives without putting soldiers' lives at risk is made possible through the use of drones. The article is intended as a review.

Opis:: Increasing the role of sustainable production benefits in transforming manufacturing towards the sustainable organisation. The proposed model integrates two dimensions, namely, the Sustainable Business Model (SBM) and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and defines it as the SBM-ERP. This paper focuses attention on determining SBM-ERP based on the literature research, Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) method and the results of the analysis on the experiences with the implementation of the ERP system in manufacturing. It was determined that the proprietary approach allows the company’s sustainable manufacturing activities to be organised and monitored, based on real-time data and information, as updated and included in the ERP system. We also emphasized the practicality of the proposed approach for managers of manufacturing companies with an implemented ERP system.

Opis:: The intensive development of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is caused by huge competition on the production market and thus the need to optimize costs, efficiency and production time. However, the integration problem is still unresolved. One of the main problems is related to monitoring the realisation of production. In many ERP systems, this issue is very weakly performed. Data from different sub-systems are not fully integrated, therefore the process of decision-making is very difficult. The main purpose of the research described in this paper was to develop a prototype of a module for the settlement of production tasks in an integrated ERP-class system. The problems related to the module of the settlement of tasks of production workers, and online presentation of employee performance and machine condition was analysed.
Intensywny rozwój ERP spowodowany jest ogromną konkurencją na rynku produkcyjnym, a co za tym idzie – koniecznością optymalizacji kosztów, wydajności i czasu produkcji. Jednak problem integracji procesów biznesowych jest nadal otwarty. Jedną z głównych trudności jest monitorowanie realizacji produkcji. W wielu systemach ERP problem ten jest uwzględniany w bardzo małym stopniu. Dane z różnych podsystemów nie są w pełni zintegrowane, dlatego podejmowanie decyzji jest bardzo trudne. Głównym celem badań opisanych w artykule jest opracowanie prototypu modułu do rozliczania zadań produkcyjnych w zintegrowanym systemie klasy ERP. Przeanalizowano problem związany z modułem rozliczania zadań pracowników produkcyjnych oraz prezentacją online wydajności pracowników i stanu maszyn.

Opis:: In this paper, development trends of information systems, information systems technology and enterprise information management were analyzed in the context of Industry 4.0 tools. In the first part (par. 1–2), fundamental definitions referred to the subject were presented as well as historic background of Integrated Management Information Systems. In the second part (par. 3), evolution and trends in ERP class systems, electronic economy tools and Product Lifecycle Management software were described. In the third part (par. 4–5), observed trends in information systems technology, in relation to Industry 4.0 tools, were discussed including manufacturing resources, production objects and novel management strategies approach. Many conclusions were related with actual manufacturing practices observed by the authors.

In the management processes of business organizations, it is necessary to make the best decisions that will increase the company’s competitiveness and optimize its operations. IT systems such as Business Intelligence are helpful in this. Even more can be achieved when these systems are based on cloud technologies. The article introduces the topic of BI systems and cloud technologies and indicates differences in performance between a system based on a physical server and the environment of analytical services based on cloud technologies.

Opis:: ERP and CRM management information systems constitute one of the most popular IT system groups used by enterprises, not only in Poland. From the point of view of both theoreticians and practitioners of business informatics, it is important to understand the effectiveness of IT implementation projects in Poland in comparison to similar projects in other countries. The scope of this article is to present the results of research concerning the success and failure in ERP and CRM implementation projects in medium and large enterprises in Poland. The results answer the question regarding the level of effectiveness in selected IT projects consisting in standard implementation, roll-out, upgrade, vertical solution implementation and re-implementation in enterprises based in Poland between 2013 and 2016. The study analyzed 917 projects, including 747 projects in medium enterprises and 224 in large enterprises. The research shows the structure of fully successful, partially successful and completely failed projects following the classical evaluation of IT projects. Research results show that the level of effectiveness in IT projects consisting in implementations of management information systems is slightly higher in Poland than in analogous projects studied by the Standish Group. Importantly, despite technological progress and efforts of research centres, consulting companies and software producers, the effectiveness of IT project completion has not increased for over 20 years. The results may be interesting for researchers specializing in the subject of IT project completion, as well as for practitioners implementing such projects.

Opis:: This research examines new directions in applications of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods in the process of selecting appropriate ERP system by organizations. The research identifies and reviews the most relevant and influential publications, which formed the state of art in this research field. Tendencies of the use of MCDM methods are demonstrated by the means of comparative analysis. The first part of the paper introduces MCDM methods often used in the ERP system selection process. Second part of the paper provides literature analysis of various MCDM methods, their acceptance and frequency of application for selection of an ERP system.
Przedmiotem opracowania jest wykorzystanie metod wielokryterialnej analizy decyzyjnej w procesie wyboru odpowiedniego systemu klasy ERP w organizacjach. W ramach przeprowadzonego badania zidentyfikowano oraz poddano analizie najbardziej uznane i opiniotwórcze publikacje, tworzące bazę teoretyczną omawianej problematyki. Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja tendencji obserwowanych w zakresie wykorzystania omawianych metod. Pierwsza część opracowania zawiera prezentację najpopularniejszych metod wielokryterialnej analizy decyzyjnej wykorzystywanych w procesie wyboru systemów klasy ERP w organizacjach. W drugiej części opracowania przedstawiono wyniki badań literaturowych dotyczących popularności oraz znaczenia omawianych metod, mierzonych liczebnością publikacji oraz liczbą cytowań w literaturze przedmiotu.
Предмет разработки – использование методов многокритериального анализа принятия решений в процессе выбора соответствующей системы класса ERP в организациях. В рамках проведенного изучения выявили и провели анализ наиболее признанных и формирующих общественное мнение публикаций, создающих теоретическую основу рассматриваемой проблематики. Цель разработки – выявить тенденции, наблюдаемые в области использования обсуждаемых методов. Первая часть разработки содержит презентацию самых популярных методов многокритериального анализа принятия решений, используемых в процессе выбора систем класса ERP в организациях. Во второй части работы представлены результаты изучения литературы в отноше- нии популярности и значения рассматриваемых методов, измеряемых числом публикаций и цитирований в литературе предмета.

Opis:: In the sphere of business there is a lot of confusion among Business Intelligence (BI), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems with the major one being that most people think BI is the same as ERP, whereas BI is a more evolved technology which, even though it relies on ERP, is also based on back office data. Moreover, not everyone is aware that most CRM functionality can be embedded in ERP and BI solutions. To fully use the potential of the BI and CRM systems, they should be integrated into a central system supporting the management of the organisation which is usually a key element of companies internal IT infrastructure. In this paper the authors are committed to describing and explaining the major differences existing among BI, ERP and CRM systems in various aspects. Also, the authors aim to explain the advantages and disadvantages of those solutions and the future trends. The methods used in this study are analysis, observation and the study of literature.
W sferze gospodarczej występują nieporozumienia dotyczące Business Intelligence (BI), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) oraz Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Większość ludzi sądzi, że rozwiązania BI są podobne do ERP. Okazuje się, że BI jest bardziej rozwiniętą technologią, która wykorzystuje ERP. Podobne nieporozumienia dotyczą systemów CRM. Nie każdy zdaje sobie sprawę, że większość funkcjonalności CRM może być zaimplementowane w ERP i BI. Aby w pełni wykorzystać potencjał systemów BI i CRM, powinny one zostać włączone do centralnego systemu wspomagającego zarządzanie organizacją, który w przedsiębiorstwach jest zazwyczaj kluczowym elementem wewnętrznej infrastruktury IT. W niniejszym artykule autorzy scharakteryzowali i wyjaśnili istotne różnice istniejące między systemami CRM, ERP i BI w różnych aspektach. Ponadto, zostały opisane zalety i wady tych rozwiązań i pojawiające się trendy w tym zakresie . Metody zastosowane w tym badaniu to analizy, obserwacje i badania literaturowe.

Opis:: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are commonly used in many kinds of organizations. Due to including ERP courses into study programmes in some universities, some practical aspects of the didactic process can be noticed in order to enhance the learning effects. Proper management of this process gives the chance of better efficiency in teaching. Even though new, modern, alternative teaching methods require more effort from the teachers, they’re worth applying because the results for the students (their knowledge and skills) are more solid and permanent. In this paper some experiences in the field of ERP teaching were described, selected didactic methods were compared. The aim of this article was to emphasize the role of proper didactic method selection in the teaching process management. Project-Based Learning (PBL) was presented as the preferable method of ERP teaching at the university level. On the basis of own survey, the students opinions and their attitude to ERP learning was shown.
Rosnące zapotrzebowanie na znajomość systemów klasy ERP zauważalne jest w wielu rodzajach organizacji. Przedmioty zawierające treści dotyczące systemów zintegrowanych od kilku lat pojawiają się w ofercie szkół wyższych. W celu usprawnienie procesu dydaktycznego i zwiększenia efektywności nauczania nie tylko obsługi systemów ERP, ale także i zasad ich funkcjonowania, w odniesieniu do procesów biznesowych, niezbędne jest odpowiednie zarządzanie procesem dydaktycznym. Nowoczesne, alternatywne metody nauczania wymagają zwłaszcza od nauczyciela dodatkowego wysiłku, jednak są one warte rozważenia i wdrożenia, gdyż w rezultacie dają praktyczną i trwalszą wiedzę. W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia dotyczące nauczania studentów systemu klasy ERP z wykorzystaniem wybranych metod dydaktycznych. Zwrócono uwagę na metodę opartą na projekcie – ang. Project-Based Learning (PBL) jako tę, która w największym stopniu angażuje uczestników zajęć, dając trwalsze efekty nauczania. Opisano także wyniki badania dotyczącego opinii studentów na temat nauczania tą metodą.

Opis:: Obecnie zintegrowane systemy informatyczne klasy ERP są nieodłącznym elementem działalności przedsiębiorstw sprawnie funkcjonujących w otoczeniu ekonomiczno-rynkowym. Celem pracy jest wskazanie podejmowanej w literaturze krajowej i zagranicznej tematyki badawczej dotyczącej zintegrowanych systemów informatycznych klasy ERP. Analizie poddano łącznie 106 artykułów opublikowanych w latach 2010-2012, zawierających w tytule lub w słowach kluczowych hasła: ERP lub Enterprise Resource Planning.
Currently, integrated ERP systems are an integral part of companies that want to operate efficiently in an environment of economic and market conditions. The aim of this work is classification of Polish and world literature in the field of integrated ERP systems published between 2010-2012 and the identification of topics in detail. The articles were taken from the years 2010-2012 containing the title or keywords ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning - total 106 publications.

Opis:: The article specifies the design-application requirements for ERP systems, which should efficiently support the manufacturing management of the new industry generation. In section 1 the technological generations were identified and linked in the spheres: manufactruring, computer industry and Internet. Afterwards (section 2) the main components of industry 4.0 were analyzed and illustrated with practical examples regarding the digitization of matter/Internet of things. In section 3 relationships were researched – between the operating system in companies and the IT area, pointing to the ERP system as the center of applications. On this basis, in section 4, four key features of ERP were proposed and commented. In the summary (5), a number of conclusions was quoted and directions for further researches were proposed.
Artykuł specyfikuje wymagania projektowo-aplikacyjne dla systemów ERP, które mają efektywnie wspomagać zarządzanie wytwórczością nowej generacji 4.0. W części 1 zidentyfikowano generacje przemysłowe i komputerowe, wyodrębniając Internetowe. Z kolei (część 2) analizie poddano wyróżniki nowej generacji wytwórczości, ilustrując je przykładami praktycznymi dotyczącymi cyfryzacji materii/Internetu przedmiotów. W części 3 zbadano związki systemu operacyjnego przedsiębiorstwa z obszarem IT wskazując na system ERP jako centrum aplikacyjne. Na tej podstawie w części 4 zaproponowano i skomentowano cztery kluczowe cechy przedmiotowego ERP. W podsumowaniu przytoczono sumarycznie szereg wniosków oraz zaproponowano kierunki dalszych badań.

Opis:: While having been the object of numerous studies, the link between ERP implementation and SMEs performance still requires understanding. This paper documents the effect of investments in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on a firm’s sales performance and profitability measure such as return on sales (ROS). The models are based on a sample of 240 during time of defined activities in the sales process realized during the each month by 40 knowledge workers in each of 5 Polish SMEs announcements of ERP implementations. Our analysis of the financial benefits of these implementations yields mixed results. Our results are encouraging that we find the business activity that can persistent evidence of sales performance associated with ERP investments. This should help alleviate the companies that some have expressed about the viability of ERP given the highly publicized implementation problems at some firms.

Opis:: In the dynamically changing environment, businesses increasingly cooperate within the framework of a supply chain which coordinates and integrates processes. Such tasks can be realized through the implementation of appropriate IT systems, especially those for resource planning in individual enterprises and those for supply chains management in systems of enterprises. The goal of the article is to analyze of the level of use of IT technologies in resource planning and supply chain management in the sector of small, medium and large-sized businesses in Poland. We look closely at the following variables: the number of enterprises using ERP software packages for transmitting information between different departments (e.g., accounting, marketing, production), and the number of enterprises using information technology in supply chain management. The years 2010-2012 is the analyzed period.
W dynamicznie zmieniającym się otoczeniu przedsiębiorstwa coraz częściej podejmują współpracę w ramach łańcucha dostaw, którego głównym zadaniem jest integracja i koordynacja procesów. Zadanie to może zostać zrealizowane jedynie dzięki implementacji odpowiednich systemów informatycznych, a w szczególności systemów planowania zasobów na poziomie pojedynczego przedsiębiorstwa i systemów zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw na poziomie całej sieci podmiotów. Celem artykułu jest analiza stopnia wykorzystania technologii informacyjnych w planowaniu zasobów i w zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw przez małe, średnie i duże przedsiębiorstwa w Polsce. Badaniu poddano następujące dwie zmienne: liczbę przedsiębiorstw wykorzystujących pakiety oprogramowania ERP w celu przekazywania informacji pomiędzy różnymi obszarami działalności przedsiębiorstwa (np. księgowością, marketingiem, produkcją) oraz liczbę przedsiębiorstw prowadzących elektroniczną wymianę informacji dotyczących zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw. Badaniem objęto lata 2010-2012.
