Opis:
Isothermal hot compression experiments were carried out using the Gleeble-1500D thermal mechanical simulator. The flow stress of the Cu-1%Zr and Cu-1%Zr-0.15%Y alloys was studied at hot deformation temperature of 550°C, 650°C, 750°C, 850°C, 900°C and the strain rate of 0.001 s-1, 0.01 s-1, 0.1 s-1, 1 s-1, 10 s-1. Hot deformation activation energy and constitutive equations for two kinds of alloys with and without yttrium addition were obtained by correlating the flow stress, strain rate and deformation temperature. The reasons for the change of hot deformation activation energy of the two alloys were analyzed. Dynamic recrystallization microstructure evolution for the two kinds of alloys during hot compression deformation was analyzed by optical and transmission electron microscopy. Cu-1%Zr and Cu-1%Zr-0.15%Y alloys exhibit similar behavior of hot compression deformation. Typical dynamic recovery occurs during the 550-750°C deformation temperature, while dynamic recrystallization (DRX) occurs during the 850-900°C deformation temperature. High Zr content and the addition of Y significantly improved Cu-1%Zr alloy hot deformation activation energy. Compared with hot deformation activation energy of pure copper, hot deformation activation energy of the Cu-1%Zr and Cu-1%Zr-0.15%Y alloys is increased by 54% and 81%, respectively. Compared with hot deformation activation energy of the Cu-1%Zr alloy, it increased by 18% with the addition of Y. The addition of yttrium refines grain, advances the dynamic recrystallization critical strain point and improves dynamic recrystallization.

Opis:
Podczas badań pasze transportowano doświadczalnym przenośnikiem linowo-krążkowym o napędzie ciernym, zbudowanym z typowych elementów stosowanych w seryjnie produkowanych przenośnikach. W trakcie pracy przenośnika wyznaczano zużycie energii przypadające na 1 kg przetransportowanej paszy. Uzyskano wyniki wskazujące na to, że zużycie energii związane z transportem pasz sypkich jest niższe niż w przypadku pasz granulowanych. Zużycie energii może być różne, w zależności od zawartości wilgoci. Przemieszczając użytym do badań przenośnikiem linowo-krążkowym pasze sypkie lub granulowane, przy zachowaniu ich optymalnych wilgotności i parametrów transportu, zużywa się o około 15% mniej energii w przypadku paszy sypkiej niż granulowanej.
Both, loose and granulated feed mixtures were used in the experiments. The feeds were transported by an experimental rope-wheel conveyor, with a friction drive, built of typical elements used in mass produced conveyors. During conveyor's operation the energy con-sumption per 1 kg feed transport was determined. Obtained results indicated fact that the energy consumption at transporting loose feed is lower than in the case of granulated feed. Energy consumption may vary in both cases depending on the level of feed moisture content. At transporting loose or granulated feeds with the rope-wheel conveyor used in experiment and keeping the optimum feed moisture content and transport parameters, about 15% less energy was consumed to transport the loose feed in comparison to granulated feed.

The article proves a particular bias in the agricultural land use for assessing the ecological and economic efficiency of only cost indicators. The methodology for evaluating the ecological and economic efficiency of agricultural land use by the energy content of foods is considered. The purpose of the article is to consider the methodology and justification of the practical significance of assessing the environmental and economic efficiency of the agricultural land use by the energy content of products. The article presents the initial ata for correlation-regression analysis on the average performance of agricultural producers of Ukraine to determine the weight of each indicator. We used land statistical collections, National reports on the state of the environment in Ukraine for the period 2012–2018. The analysis was carried out based on the average performance indicators of agricultural producers of Ukraine to determine the weight of factors and leverage on the ecological and economic efficiency of agricultural land use. The output of a unit of land in relative terms through exchange energy is not only a kind of indicator, a criterion for the efficient use of agricultural land but also a criterion for the effectiveness of all production activities of agricultural producers, a particular district, and even regions. The main advantage of the proposed approach is the focus on achieving the ultimate goal of agricultural production, which allows us to recommend it for extended use in assessing the ecological and economic efficiency of agricultural land use.

Opis:
The objective of this study was to compare the content of selected complete dry feed labels for adult, healthy dogs and cats, emphasizing the accordance with the relevant EU requirements which have recently came into force. Additionally, simple calculations of the energy content were made to enhance the characteristics of the products available to the customer. The level of accordance reached in average 87% and 82% in dog and cat food respectively. It should be stated that the improvement of the labels content, as compared with 2011, was not significant. The key elements of the label information were either not improved or decreased (the statement of the necessity of constant access to water or daily dosage per animal). All evaluated products were typical maintenance foods, but their energy density was quite differentiated which may have some deleterious nutritional consequences associated with their long time supply.
Celem prezentowanych badań była ocena treści wybranych etykiet pełnoporcjowych suchych karm dla dorosłych, zdrowych psów i kotów, z podkreśleniem zgodności z aktualnymi wymaganiami unijnymi. Średni poziom zgodności wyniósł 87 i 82%, odpowiednio dla psów i kotów. Warto podkreślić, że między 2011 a 2013 rokiem nie nastąpiła istotna poprawa treści etykiet karm. Kluczowe elementy informacyjne etykiet nie zostały poprawione, a nawet uległy pogorszeniu (np. zdanie o konieczności zapewnienia wody pitnej czy informacja o zalecanej dziennej dawce na zwierzę). Wszystkie oceniane produkty należały do grupy typowych karm bytowych, jednak ich gęstość energetyczna była dość zróżnicowana, co w perspektywie ich długookresowego podawania może mieć niekorzystne konsekwencje żywieniowe.

The dispute over the continuity of life and mind. Arguments for cognitivism: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the position of non-cognitivism on the issue of the so-called dispute over the continuity / discontinuity of life and mind. In discussing the views of Michael Kirchhoff and Tom Froese, I will point out some difficulties related to their position. Next, I will formulate three arguments in favor of the cognitive alternative, emphasizing the need to resort to semantic information in explaining these phenomena. According to noncognitivist position, there is a continuity in the life-mind line, which can be justified by referring to the concept of Shannon’s syntactic information. Opponents of this thesis, i.e. supporters of cognitivism, claim that the explanation of cognition requires the use of other tools than those used to explanation of life, because, first, the notion of syntactic information does not exhaust the complexity of these phenomena, and, second, the non-cognitive position raises many problems and ambiguities. According to cognitivists, when explaining life and mind, one should refer to the concept of semantic information that is rejected by noncognitivists. In the Conclusion I will analyze the ambiguities and assumptions related to the thesis about the continuity or discontinuity between life and cognitive processes.
