Opis:
Electronic support of teaching is a prospect of future education, especially for students of tertiary education. Since 2005/2006 academic year the study at the Faculty of Education, University of Presov, has been implemented by the combination of methods. Mathematical disciplines have been taught in the form of contact classes and electronic support through LMS Moodle. The article analyzes the importance of the electronic support for mathematical education and professional training of prospective teachers in the elementary stage.

Systemy oceniania języka mówionego posługują się rozmaitymi skalami zawierającymi różne kategorie odnoszące się do jakości języka zawierające podkategorie obejmujące słownictwo i środki językowe, jak również poprawność językową zwykle na tle biegłości i potoczystości w mówieniu. Te, z kolei, uzupełnione bywają rozlicznymi jeszcze kategoriami, wśród których właściwie zawsze poczesne miejsce zajmuje wymowa. Warto jednak przyjrzeć się sytuacji, gdzie tej kategorii brak w skalach oceniania i w jaki sposób wpływa to na percepcje egzaminatorów języka mówionego. W tym badaniu dane pochodzące z Elektroniczne Systemu Wspierania Oceniania (ang. EPSS) zgromadzone w trakcie treningu i doszkalania egzaminatorów języka angielskiego z różnych kontekstów edukacyjnych pozwalają na sformułowanie intrygujących wniosków badawczych
Assessment of spoken performance is often viewed in terms of various different categories relating to the language aspect of performance including provisions for vocabulary use and linguistic resources, as well as accuracy of use, contrasted with fluency. Such categories are often coupled with several other categories relating to other aspects of spoken performance, and amongst those one almost always featured in rating schemes is that of pronunciation. It is interesting to observe what happens when this category is omitted in rating scales and how this affects the perceptions of oral examiners. In this investigation, data from an Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) obtained in training and fine-tuning examiners of oral performance in tests of spoken performance in English from different educational contexts is used to draw some intriguing research conclusions

The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of electromagnetic radiation of aviation electronic support systems on environmental segments and a human organism. We were looking for effects of electromagnetic radiation on inhabitants and environment in the vicinity of airport radars. We accomplished measuring and found out the level of radiation harmfulness of electromagnetic radiation sources. In the conclusion we suggest to eliminate the negative impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human organism. At the same time we present the ways how workers, performing their jobs in the vicinity of strong electromagnetic radiation source, can protect themselves in compliance with legislative of the Slovak Republic. We have proposed some possibilities of protection for workers who work close to a strong source of electromagnetic radiation.

Příspěvek popisuje možnosti systému Courseware (courseware.upol.cz). Cílem tohoto systému je shromáždit na jedno místo veškeré elektronické informace a materiály používané v rámci výuky předmětů na UP v Olomouci, jako pomoc při každodenní práci studentů a vyučujících. Jeho významnou předností je maximální integrace a získávání informací zadávaných do informačního systému STAG a dalších informačních systémů UP. Možnosti systému Courseware jsou přiblíženy na příkladu materiálů k předmětu „Grafické programy a multimédia”.
The entry introduces possibilities of the system Courseware (courseware. upol.cz). The aim of the system is to gather all electronic information and materials used within subjects teaching at UP, Olomouc in one place. This can help students as well as teachers with daily work. Its main advantage is maximal integration and gaining of information entered into the information system STAG and other information systems at UP. Possibilities of the system Courseware are showed by an example of materials for the subject „Graphic programs and multimedia”.
W artykule przedstawiono możliwości systemu Courseware (kurs-ware.upol.cz). Głównym zadaniem prezentowanego rozwiązania jest gromadzenie w jednym miejscu wszystkich materiałów elektronicznych używanych w procesach dydaktycznych na Uniwersytecie Palackého w Ołomuńcu. Rozwiązanie takie może być bardzo pomocne zarówno dla studentów, jak i prowadzących zajęcia. Główną zaletą jest integracja informacji wprowadzanych do systemu STAG i innych systemów informatycznych funkcjonujących na Uniwersytecie Palackého. Możliwości systemu Courseware przedstawione zostały na przykładzie materiałów do tematu „Programy graficzne i multimedialne”.

While developing and emphasizing oral skills in foreign language learning in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEF) seems to be the general trend in the whole of Europe, the place and attention given to oral skills in the majority of schools across Europe is less than it deserves. This is so owing to a number of factors, one being that oral skills are slow to develop, require time and investment in terms of attention and resources and yet leave largely insubstantial evidence of effort, and finally teaching materials oftentimes focus on more manageable language elements and skills. The Web application described in the subsequent pages is a reasonable solution to this problem as it allows teaching staff to jointly evaluate the oral skills and proficiency of their pupils through a web-based environment. The main objectives of the rationale behind the web app are in bringing teaching staff in various institutions by providing them with a community where their assessments can be validated by their colleagues and to provide them and their pupils with tools to distribute and share annotated video and audio materials on the internet. This article outlines the workings of the web app, its major components, the logic behind it and the logistics in creating online assessments of oral proficiency in a collaborative assessment environment with a Community of Practice as a safeguard for the continual and sustained operation of the web-based evaluation environment for assessing oral skills.

Chociaż nacisk na rozwijanie umiejętności mówienia w języku obcym według EuropejskiegoSystemu Opisu Kształcenia Językowego (ESOKJ) wydaje się być powszechnymtrendem w całej Europie, miejsce i uwaga jaką poświęca się umiejętnościom mówieniaw znakomitej większości szkół europejskich jest mniejsza niż na to zasługują. Składasię na to szereg rozmaitych czynników, z których jeden dotyczy faktu, że umiejętnościjęzykowe nabywane są powoli, wymagają czasu i wysiłku, a jednocześnie brak wyraźnychefektów wydatkowanych nakładów pracy, oraz wreszcie nie sprzyja temu taka konstrukcjamateriałów do nauczania, gdzie zwraca się uwagę na takie składniki i komponentynauczania, które są bardziej namacalne. Aplikacja internetowa przedstawiona poniżej stanowiciekawy sposób na uporanie się z tym problemem, pozwalając nauczycielom nawspólne, grupowe i wzajemne dokonywanie ocen umiejętności mówienia w środowiskuinternetowym. Głównym założeniem tej aplikacji jest networking między nauczycielamiz rozmaitych instytucji edukacyjnych w celu stworzenia wspólnoty eksperckiej, którapozwoli na walidację ocen języka mówionego i stanowić będzie dla nich narzędzie zapomocą, którego będą dzielić się materiałami audio i wideo zawierającymi wyczerpująceoceny wypowiedzi ustnych w języku obcym. Ten artykuł ma na celu zaprezentowanie tejaplikacji, jej wewnętrznej logiki oraz podstaw procedury tworzenia adnotowanych próbekjęzyka mówionego w środowisku internetowym przy udziale społeczności eksperckiej,której wysiłki stanowić mają gwarancję trwałości funkcjonowania takiego systemu ocenianiajęzyka mówionego.Słowa kluczowe: ocenianie mówienia, ocenianie przez sieć, testowanie wspomaganekomputerowo, elektroniczne systemy wspierania podejmowania decyzji, banki wiedzy

Power electronic circuits (PECs) are prone to various failures, whose classification is of paramount importance. This paper presents a data-driven based fault diagnosis technique, which employs a support vector data description (SVDD) method to perform fault classification of PECs. In the presented method, fault signals (e.g. currents, voltages, etc.) are collected from accessible nodes of circuits, and then signal processing techniques (e.g. Fourier analysis, wavelet transform, etc.) are adopted to extract feature samples, which are subsequently used to perform offline machine learning. Finally, the SVDD classifier is used to implement fault classification task. However, in some cases, the conventional SVDD cannot achieve good classification performance, because this classifier may generate some so-called refusal areas (RAs), and in our design these RAs are resolved with the one-against-one support vector machine (SVM) classifier. The obtained experiment results from simulated and actual circuits demonstrate that the improved SVDD has a classification performance close to the conventional one-against-one SVM, and can be applied to fault classification of PECs in practice.

Active acoustics offers potential benefits in music halls having acoustical shortcomings and is a relatively inexpensive alternative to physical modifications of the enclosures. One critical benefit of active architecture is the controlled variability of acoustics. Although many improvements have been made over the last 60 years in the quality and usability of active acoustics, some problems still persist and the acceptance of this technology is advancing cautiously. McGill’s Virtual Acoustic Technology (VAT) offers new solutions in the key areas of performance by focusing on the electroacoustic coupling between the existing room acoustics and the simulation acoustics. All control parameters of the active acoustics are implemented in the Space Builder engine by employing multichannel parallel mixing, routing, and processing. The virtual acoustic response is created using low-latency convolution and a three-way temporal segmentation of the measured impulse responses. This method facilitates a sooner release of the virtual room response and its radiation into the surrounding space. Field tests are currently underway at McGill University involving performing musicians and the audience in order to fully assess and quantify the benefits of this new approach in active acoustics.
