The problem of adaptation of educational space of technical university to modern market requirements is considered. There are described the results of studying the requests of higher education applicants and their vision of the success of the study. The aim of the article is to build an architecture of an information system similar to that used by modern enterprises, which will provide a combination of scientific, design and educational activities of the academic community, taking into account market needs. The main scientific research methods are bibliographic analysis, comparative analysis, methods of analogies. The conceptual architecture of the Information Support of Design Innovation Activity of the Technical University system based on the construction of a unified scientific and educational information space is described. The main task of the university's information space is to prepare students for activities of the real market. There are determined the necessity and limits of application of the modern access control system at the universities of Ukraine, in particular for the organization of independent work of students. There is offered the way to reach the 4th level of technological readiness of students 'and teachers' development. The construction of an ontological description of the subject area of a technical university, the development of the application of a grid model for the description of scientific and technical information, and the determination of the current technical status are defined as the basis of the system of setting tasks for project groups in the transition to project-oriented learning. The question of the appropriateness of using adaptive case management system as a basic concept of building electronic document management system is resolved. Opis:
The article describes the basic forms and methods of forming cross-cultural competence of future professionals in public relations. The author presents a description of educational activities carried out during the experimental work. Organizational and methodical aspects of forming cross-cultural competence of future professionals in public relations are viewed in teaching students two special disciplines, conducting training programs and didactic games. The four-semester long special course “English in professional activities” is planned to enable students to communicate professionally. One-semester long special course “Intercultural communication” is organized to assist future specialist in culture knowledge. Training programs are offered to form the system of values and measure the actual level of cross-cultural competence. Role play envisages practicing professional communication.

The article describes possible practical educational activities aimed at respecting the landscape, in particular the cultural landscape, in which various types of advertisements appear in an uncontrolled form. The presented considerations are based on a field practice conducted in 2018 with students of spatial management, during which advertisements on the main street of Pabianice were inventoried. The collected material, conclusions, and recommendations serve as a starting point for a broader discussion on the advertising chaos in the city.

The spread of mandatory military service for all citizens in II Rzeczypospolita caused the rapid growth of representatives of national minority in the army, Ukrainians in particular, who were often indifferent or sometimes even hostile to the country. One of the main reasons for indifference or hostile from Ukrainians was the events of Polish-Ukrainian war 1918–1919, the fight for Lviv, the defeat of ZUNR (West Ukrainian People’s Republic), in which Poland was considered to be guilty. At the same time the level of national and civil consciousness of many Poles was low enough. Taking all that into consideration, military and political authorities realized the necessity of organizing some educational activities for recruits. In the army there were some regular educational lectures with tendentiously chosen historical examples, whose aim was to smooth tensions in bilateral relations, to integrate Ukrainians into society, to bring up the sense of patriotism to Motherland, country of residence and finally to assimilate. To reach this aim, excursions, theatres and cinemas were also used for this reason.

After Poland regained independence in 1918, educational societies played an important role in the education of the society. Jan Kornecki was one of many community workers who continued activities in that area started during the times of national bondage. On behalf of the Polish Educational Society in Warsaw [Polska Macierz Szkolna], he became a member of a pioneer group trying to unify the actions and strengthen the cooperation between educational societies in various districts of Poland. After the establishment of the Liaison Commission of Polish Educational Societies [Komisja Porozumiewawcza Polskich Towarzystw Oświatowych], he accepted the position of the secretary of the Commission’s Executive Department and was responsible for initiating and maintaining permanent contacts between the societies forming the Commission. Apart from maintaining ongoing relationships with community workers in the places of their local activities, he prepared the First Polish Educational Congress, which was convened in December 1924 in Warsaw. J. Kornecki rendered great services in founding a new educational organization named The Union of Polish Educational Societies [Zjednoczenie Polskich Towarzystw Oświatowych], which was established in 1927 based on the experiences gathered by the Liaison Commission, which operated earlieroku He took the function of the manager of the Union’s Executive Department Office; his responsibilities included delegating and supervising tasks performed by clerks employed in the Office, managing the property and funds, and drawing up reports of activities. He moreover organized and convened annual and extraordinary meetings of delegates and implemented the resolutions adopted, prepared plans and programmes of quarterly off-schedule meetings of the Executive Department, represented the Union during external relations, mainly with state and local government institutions and first of all initiated and maintained regular relationships with separate associations and provided them with all kinds of aid, e.g. by organizing annual conferences for educational managers.

The purpose of this article is to analyse educational activities undertaken in the area ofsocial entrepreneurship. The main conclusions are that respondents do not know about social entrepreneurship and social initiatives are undertaken only to a minimal extent; education for social entrepreneurship is at an unacceptable level. Thus, education in economics in Poland should be enriched with social economy and social entrepreneurship. An essential element that can positively affect the development of social entrepreneurship is the support of social activities undertaken by young people within a broader debate about the social dimension of our lives.

One of the priority directions of the modern education process is developing of secondary and higher schools students’ critical thinking. Modern society tendencies such as constantly expanding informational space, skyrocketing role of the communicative processes and increasing amount of information form challenge of developing students’ critical thinking for the linguistic and communicative practices. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of critical thinking, to consider philosophical tradition of the critical thinking development, to find out what kinds of critical thinking development techniques providing special educational activities are used at universities. Methods. The methodology of this research is the comparative analysis of different kinds of critical thinking and philosophical systematization of its functions according to the specific value of critical thinking. The functional approaches to realize interdependence of critical thinking and communicative competence, the significance of the philosophical tradition of developing of the critical thinking for the linguistic and communicative practices of critical thinking are implemented in this article. The American tradition of differentiating content presentation, possible interpretations and self-assessment in the analysis of texts is systematized. The analytical method is used to find out the significance of different kinds of critical thinking development methodical techniques, provided special educational communicative activities at universities, such as: reasoning, argumentation, dialogues, debates and others. Results. Considering the importance of argumentation, its skills are taught as in high schools as well as in the US universities. Today teachers require from their students to generate and defend their views, to learn the ability of thinking independently, to formulate their own opinions with responsibility and to defend their position argumentatively. Not least in these requirements occupy argumentative communicative abilities as a way to explain and defend their arguments and critical thinking, which is one of the tools to analyze perceived information. Means of argumentation and critical thinking are improving while the whole students’ training period with the help of such means as dialogue and discussion methods in classes.

Parki narodowe pełnią ważną funkcję w edukacji przyrodniczej, która to ma na celu popularyzowanie idei ochrony przyrody, jak również podnoszenie poziomu świadomości ekologicznej. Tworzone w parkach narodowych muzea przyrodnicze, ośrodki dydaktyczne, wyznaczane ścieżki dydaktyczne i szlaki turystyczne umożliwiają poznawanie najważniejszych walorów przyrodniczych danego obszaru, a jednocześnie są główną formą zagospodarowania turystycznego wykorzystywaną w działalności edukacyjnej. Ponadto organizowane imprezy edukacyjne w postaci warsztatów, konkursów czy rozmaitych wydarzeń cyklicznych stanowią jedne z podstawowych produktów turystycznych oferowanych przez parki narodowe. Celem przeprowadzonych badań było poznanie opinii turystów odwiedzających Białowieski Park Narodowy na temat prowadzonej przez niego działalności edukacyjnej oraz oceny tej działalności przez osoby z niej korzystające. Badania przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego z wykorzystaniem ankiety jako narzędzia.
National parks play an important role in environmental education, which aims to popularize the idea of nature conservation, as well as raising environmental awareness. Created in national parks natural history museums, educational centers, educational paths and trails provide to explore the most important natural values of the area, and at the same time are the main form of tourist infrastructure used in educational activities. In addition, educational events organized in the form of workshops, competitions and various periodic events are one of the main tourist products offered by national parks. The aim of this study was to investigate the opinion of tourists visiting Bialowieza National Park on the educational activities conducted by Park and evaluation of the activities which they benefit. The study was performed by diagnostic survey using a questionnaire as a tool.

Artykuł ma na celu zaprezentować model wychowania obywatelskiego żołnierzy Wojska Polskiego w latach 1918-1939. Jednocześnie przedstawiony model został porównany z dzisiejszym znaczeniem terminu „Edukacja dla Bezpieczeństwa”. Zabieg ten ma na celu wykazanie, iż działania na rzecz edukacji prowadzone w okresie międzywojennym, mimo faktu nieznajomości w/w terminu, posiadały jej wszelkie znamiona. Początkowo żołnierz w myśl wytycznych miał być wychowany w duchu narodowym. Sytuacja ta uległa zmianie po przewrocie majowym, kiedy to główny nacisk położono na wychowanie w duchu obywatelskim. W myśl wszystkich wytycznych żołnierz miał być świadomym obywatelem, gotowym do heroicznych poświęceń dla dobra narodu i państwa.
The role of this article is to present a model of civic education of soldiers of the Polish Army between the years 1918 and 1939. Presented model is compared to the modern meaning of the term Education for Security. This procedure is intended to demonstrate that the all actions for civic education during the pre-war period, despite the fact that the term of Education for Security was completely unknown, had all the necessary elements of such activity. Initially, according to guideline, soldier had to be brought up in the national spirit. This situation changed since the May Coup when the education process had been focusing on the spirit of citizenship. Soldier had to be aware citizen, ready to heroic sacrifices for the good of the nation and the state.

Przeprowadzone badania pokazują, że Dom Żołnierza w Bielsku-Białej rozwija swoją działalność w kierunku zacieśniania relacji z lokalną społecznością. Mógłby kłaść znacznie większy nacisk na przepływ informacji oraz wspieranie oddolnych inicjatyw. Powinien również poszerzać swoją ofertę o zajęcia wzmacniające poczucie własnej wartości uczestników, propagujące szeroko pojętą kulturę w nawiązaniu do historii oraz tradycji i obrzędów obszaru, na którym się znajduje.
Club of the 18th Airborne Battalion Dom Żołnierza is gradually expanding its offer of various projects, and the classes offered are characterized by high quality and professional organization. The activities offered are extensive and basically everyone can find something interesting for themselves. The club offers participants a wide range of additional activities that develop interests, enable you to meet new people, and improve your fitness and health. The segmentation of the offer also works well – there are many activities targeted especially at children, seniors, families and women. As a result of the research conducted, we know that the Dom Żołnierza in Bielsko-Biała, by developing its activities towards closer relations with the local community, could place much greater emphasis on the flow of information and supporting grassroots initiatives. It should also expand its offer with activities that strengthen participants’ self-esteem and promote broadly understood culture in relation to the history, traditions and rituals of the area in which it is located.

Liga Morska i Kolonialna, działająca wcześniej jako Liga Morska i Rzeczna, znacznie przyczyniła się do rozwoju społecznej, kulturalnej i oświatowej działalności na terenie Wileńszczyzny. Brak dotychczasowych badań w tym zakresie był zasadniczą przyczyną podjęcia próby scharakteryzowania tych obszarów. Stało się to możliwe dzięki zastosowanej metodzie historycznoprawnej. Liga Morska i Rzeczna oraz Liga Morska i Kolonialna były organizacjami apolitycznymi. Ich działania koncentrowały się na angażowaniu w szereg inicjatyw o charakterze kulturalnym i edukacyjnym w regionie. Dopiero w latach 30. XX wieku skupiono się na kwestiach bezpieczeństwa państwa polskiego oraz podkreślano znaczenie kolonializmu jako strategii rozwoju państwa.
Maritime and Colonial League, working initially as the Maritime and River League, greatly contributed to the revival of social, culture and education activity in the Vilnius region. No previous studies in this area, was the principal reason for the adoption of attempts to characterize these areas. This is made possible by the historical legal method. Maritime and River League and Maritime and Colonial League were apolitical organizations. Their activities focused on engaging in a number of cultural and educational initiatives in the region. It was only in the thirties focused on security issues of the Polish state, and stressed the importance of colonialism, as a strategy for development of the state.

The aim of the paper is to identify key areas as well as to offer an overview of significant topics that should be addressed within training for foreign language teachers, enabling them to use the educational potential of the German-Polish border region in intercultural foreign languages teaching. In order to achieve this goal, in the first part of the paper the main concepts of pupiloriented education in a border region will be described (i.e. cross-border cooperation, learner-orientation, region-orientation, participation, sustainability, and competence for successful living and communicating in a border region), as they give insights into the essential fields of knowledge and skills that should be aimed at in terms of teacher-oriented activities during the process of professionalisation. On this basis, in the second part of the article, concrete recommendations on priority topics within the professional development of foreign language teachers will be made, according to the specific educational potential of the German-Polish border region.

Opis:
Przemyśl, in 1931 inhabited by 17,326 followers of Judaism accounting for 34% of its total population, was a medium-sized Polish town, where a major role was played by Jewish elites, including lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, teachers etc., supporters of the Zionist movement. The Jewish elites of Przemyśl were associated with the Humanitarian Society Humanitas B’nei B’rith founded in 1924, as a part of the larger and highly recognised international organization B’nei B’rith. The Society is noteworthy for a number of reasons. It was one of the most active B'nei B'rith organisations operating in the Second Polish Republic. Joined by and integrating the local Jewish elites, the Society provided a platform for activities of local, regional and, at times, international importance in support for the Jewish community. In Przemyśl the Society was involved in charitable activities, mainly aimed to benefit orphans and the poor, and it conducted a variety of cultural and educational activities. Particularly worthy of notice is the fact that, as an opponent of antisemitism, Humanitas played a very important role within the local Jewish community of Przemyśl.
Przemyśl, w którym w 1931 r. mieszkało 17 326 osób wyznających judaizm (stanowili oni 34% ogółu mieszkańców), zaliczał się do miast średniej wielkości II Rzeczypospolitej, w których dużą rolę odgrywały elity żydowskie związane z ruchem syjonistycznym – adwokaci, lekarze, przedsiębiorcy, nauczyciele itd. Elity przemyskich Żydów skupiało założone w 1924 r. Stowarzyszenie Humanitarne „Humanitas” B'nei B'rith, będące oddziałem ważnej i liczącej się w skali międzynarodowej organizacji B'nei B'rith. Stowarzyszenie to zasługuje na szczególną uwagę przynajmniej z kilku względów. Wśród Stowarzyszeń Humanitarnych B'nei B'rith zaliczało się do najbardziej aktywnych w II Rzeczypospolitej. Skupiając oraz integrując elity miejscowych Żydów, stwarzało możliwość lokalnej i ponadlokalnej (w tym także o charakterze międzynarodowym) aktywności i troski o sprawy żydowskie. W Przemyślu wyróżniało się działalnością charytatywną (przede wszystkim na rzecz sierot i ubogich), a także działalnością kulturalno-oświatową. Na podkreślenie zasługuje również jego szczególna rola w lokalnej społeczności żydowskiej Przemyśla, która polegała na przeciwstawianiu się antysemityzmowi.
