The main aim of the article is to present selected international education programmes implemented in Poland (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in the context of educational change. The background of the analyses is the metamorphoses in the Polish education system after the period of political transformation. Literature in the field of education policy, theory of educational systems, normative documents of educational law, European Union directives and programme documents of international organizations conducting and accrediting IB, AP, and IGCSE programmes were used for the research. The author argues that the educational change that took place after 1989 in the organization and structure of the education system made it possible to implement international education programmes and contributed to the democratization and socialization of the Polish education system. Currently, international education programmes constitute an attractive educational offer that provides a chance for continuing education at renowned foreign universities, makes it possible to efficiently find oneself on the global labour market, and also prepares young people to be active members of civil society, guided by such values of political and social life as respect for human rights, democracy, solidarity, freedom of speech, and tolerance.

Purpose: The aim of the study presented in the article is to show that polemology can be taught at higher education, in particular at Polish military academies. Due to the interdisciplinary approach to the issue of wars and armed conflicts, polemology treats the war as social phenomenon, and therefore does not focus only on military aspects. Design/methodology/approach: The aim of the article is to determine to what extent polemology as a subject of teaching corresponds to content in education programs in military and civil studies in War Studies University. The main research problem is as follows: how students evaluate the subject content of polemology and the validity of its conduct at bachelor and master studies. Findings: The results of empirical research also showed that polemology in its research should have a purposeful character. Such a belief leads to a dialogue in science, stimulation of creative imagination, the result of which may be: discovering original and currently important polemological problems; creating new interdisciplinary research projects; creating alternative practical solutions; setting directions of changes in science (creation of new fields and scientific disciplines). Originality/value: The presented research shows a general approach to practicing science – it should have an interdisciplinary character. There are many indications that currently practicing any scientific discipline requires companion knowledge in the field of other scientific disciplines.

Opis:
Jednym z aspektów reformowania oświaty w Polsce jest reforma programowa. Od 1999 r. do chwili obecnej ukazały się cztery podstawy programowe kształcenia ogólnego (1999, 2009, 2014, 2017) i kilkadziesiąt programów kształcenia zintegrowanego. Celem prezentowanych badań było pokazanie zmian zachodzących w programach edukacji wczesnoszkolnej w XXI wieku. W badaniach posłużono się analizą treściową dokumentów: podstaw programowych i programów nauczania. Prezentowany tekst zawiera syntezę badań nad programami, jakie autorka prowadziła w ciągu ostatnich dwóch dekad. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że najwięcej nowych programów nauczania pojawiło się w 1999 r., jednak ilość nie zawsze szła w parze z jakością. Autorom brakowało podstaw teoretycznych i doświadczeń praktycznych w konstruowaniu programów. Badania pokazują, że autorzy programów mają coraz większą świadomość paradygmatów, jakie powinny być obecne w edukacji dziecka, stąd preferowane miejsce przyznają konstruktywizmowi. Do pozytywnych zmian w programach zaliczam: indywidualizację procesu kształcenia, stosowanie różnorodnych metod w pracy z dzieckiem, zmianę pozycji nauczyciela przejawiającą się w odchodzeniu od przekazywania wiedzy, na rzecz diagnozowania i wspierania rozwoju dziecka oraz animowania procesu odkrwania wiedzy, zaznaczenie roli rodziców jako partnerów szkoły. Na szczególną uwagę zasługują programy, które powstały w wyniku konkursów i projektów realizowanych w naszym kraju. Niestety, zbyt szybkie tempo zmian powoduje, że nie zostały one upowszechnione, a ciekawie opracowane do nich platformy e-learningowe zniknęły z internetu. Analiza programów, które powstały w 2017 r. pokazuje, że nastąpił ich regres.
One of the aspects of reforming education in Poland is the curricular reform. Since 1999 until today there have appeared four core curricula of the general education (1999, 2009, 2014, 2017) and several programmes of the integrated education. The purpose of the presented research was to show the changes taking place in early childhood education programmes in 21st century. The research used contents analysis of the following documents: the core curricula and teaching programmes. The presented text includes the synthesis of the programmes research that the author has carried out over the past two decades. Research shows that the most new programmes appeared in 1999, nonetheless, the quantity did not always match the quality. Their authors lacked theoretical foundations and practical experience in constructing such programmes. The research shows that the authors of programmes are increasingly aware of the paradigms that should be present in child education, hence the preferred place they give to constructivism. To the positive changes in the programmes I include the following elements:: individualisation of the education process, applying the diversified methods of working with child, change in the position of a teacher manifested in departing from the transfer of knowledge in favour of diagnosing and supporting child development as well as animating the process of discovering knowledge, indicating the role of parents as school partners. Especially noteworthy are the programmes that arose as a result of competitions and projects implemented in our country. Unfortunately, the fast pace of transformations causes that they have not been disseminated, and their interestingly developed e-learning platforms have disappeared from the Internet. The analysis of the programmes that were created in 2017 shows that they have regressed.

Nowadays there is a kind of “savage development” of adult education interpreted as anarchist heerogenic structure (Deleuze/Guattari 1977). Others call this process new capitalism characterized by project-based approach, flexibility and uncertainty. Hartz and Schrader (2008) write about uplanned change of structure and deficit in steering. But adult people search for security and trust. Research into programmes and institutions may provide new, but also temporary, knowledge. Nevetheless questioning: who, why, what and how offers and who and why responds to that offer is still valid, because searching for structures of lifelong learning is just beginning. Public opinion should be informed, from political-educational point of view, not only about who is participating in adult education but also what institutions, what programmes and what portals of knowledge are offered. Research –collecting information about and evaluating offered programmes – may give partial rsponse to the above mentioned questions. Those research provide order in changes, name it and point to paradoxes.

W prezentowanym opracowaniu pojęcie przygotowania zawodowego rozpatrywane jest przez pryzmat kompetencji zawodowych postrzeganych subiektywnie przez studentów kończących edukację na studiach pedagogicznych w UKW. Kompetencje zawodowe są tu rozumiane jako dyspozycje i cechy uzyskane w całościowym procesie kształcenia, posiadające walor użyteczności w przyszłej pracy zawodowej zgodnej ze studiowanym kierunkiem i specjalnością. Uznano, że poza wiedzą i umiejętnościami zawodowymi istotną składową ocenianego przygotowania zawodowego są także kompetencje społeczne. Określono je jako zespół postaw, cech osobowościowych i aspiracji umożliwiających identyfikację z profesją, budujących poczucie tożsamości zawodowej oraz motywację do pracy w zawodzie. Taka koncepcja uzyskiwanego przygotowania zawodowego odzwierciedla również strukturę efektów kształcenia.
In the presented paper, the notion of vocational training is examined through the prism of professional competence subjectively perceived by students graduating in education. Professional competence is understood as predispositions and traits acquired through education that will be useful in the future career matching the studies major and specialty. It was decided that apart from knowledge and professional skills, social skills are a significant component of vocational training. It was described as a set of attitudes, personal character and ambitions, making it possible to identify with the profession, building a sense of professional identity and providing a motivation to work in the profession. This concept of acquired vocational training also reflects the structure of the educational results.

In the framework of special didactics, students in study programmes in the field of education develop a range of skills and abilities needed for teaching the content prescribed by the curriculum. Art is one of these subjects. In a qualitative empirical research study we examined the efficacy of a method for developing art appreciation. The sample in the study consisted of students from five different European countries. Students observed J.R. Gerada’s artistic work systematically, concurrently recording their findings. The empirical study confirmed the adequacy of such an approach, since most of the students were able to experience, internalise and individually interpret the artwork.

Completed integration of sustainable values into higher education systems has yet to take place in European Union countries, the further efforts should be implied that sustainable development become an integral part of the academic culture. Education for sustainability is still lacking a consistent interdisciplinary conceptual framework all around European countries. Investigated Study programme of Environmental Engineering for the Sustainable Living Environment was carried out at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania) first cycle Bachelor's studies at Faculty of Environmental Engineering. Involvement of students in research and practical activities was encouraged through team work with projects in all related study subjects, providing research practice and through their final thesis. Students feedback reflected high level of satisfaction of their experience in sustainable development topics, reliable engagement and understanding of the opportunities offered to them by Study Programme related to Sustainable Living Environment topics.

The family is considered the closest environment for people, a natural habitat of the proper development and education of the child. Nowadays, many families are experiencing an emotional crisis, intergenerational relationships are disturbed, which in turn leads to educational difficulties. The family not always can perform its functions. Social assistance under the Act on family support and foster care system to support families experiencing care and education difficulties, offers many forms of help for these families. However, they are not always enough. The aim of the article is to present other family-supporting programs implemented by GOPS in Lubicz.

This article undertakes the issue of teachers preparation to cooperate with parents. It mostly concentrates on the role played by higher education institutions in this important area of functioning of the future tutors. The issue referred to, although it has occupied an important place in Polish pedagogy, still remains undervalued in the process of future teachers education. The analysis of education programmes and the programmes of trainings in state, higher education schools clearly points to the insufficiency of both theory and practice concerning the cooperation between the teachers and the parents, and it further stresses further necessity to improve this important area.
Artykuł podejmuje problematykę przygotowania nauczycieli do współpracy z rodzicami. Koncentruje się przede wszystkim na roli, jaką pełnią uczelnie wyższe w tym ważnym obszarze funkcjonowania przyszłych wychowawców. Poruszane zagadnienie, choć od wielu lat zajmuje ważne miejsce w polskiej pedagogice, nadal nie jest doceniane w procesie edukacji przyszłych nauczycieli. Analiza programów kształcenia i programów praktyk w publicznych szkołach wyższych, wyraźnie wskazuje na niedosyt zarówno teorii, jak i praktyki dotyczącej współpracy nauczycieli z rodzicami, a tym samym akcentuje dalszą potrzebę doskonalenia tego ważnego obszaru.

Udział mass mediów w procesie wychowania dzieci i młodzieży wydaje się nieustannie wzrastać, zarówno z uwagi na coraz bardziej zaawansowaną technologię dającą nieograniczone możliwości, jak i rozbudzoną w młodym pokoleniu chęć posiadania coraz świeższych informacji. Konsekwencją tego jest spędzanie długich godzin w towarzystwie komputera, internetu, telewizji. Przedmiotem rozważań w niniejszym opracowaniu są następujące zagadnienia: funkcje telewizji i rodziny w wychowaniu dziecka, edukacja medialna, rodzaje programów oglądanych przez młodzież w telewizji, zainteresowanie programami o tematyce religijnej i ich ocena.
Education of young people remains a concern for many adults. The actions of parents are supported by the school, peer environment, local communities and the media. Media participation in the educational process seems continuously increasing thanks to more advanced technology which gives unlimited possibilities as well as to awaken needs for curiosity, obtaining information, seeking to spend time with computer, Internet, and television. Our free time is full of media and they accompany us, while performing different tasks. The functions of the media and the family in the context of child’s education, types of programmes and evaluation of religious TV programmes are the subject of this study.
