Obsahom príspevku je sumarizácia výstupov riešiteľského kolektívu vyplývajúcich z riešenia grantovej úlohy KEGA č. 035UKF-4/2012 Program rozvoja priestorovej predstavivosti žiakov nižšieho sekundárneho vzdelávania. Počas obdobia riešenia grantovej úlohy riešitelia venovali pozornosť možnostiam rozvoja priestorovej predstavivosti žiakov v technickom vzdelávaní na základnej škole. Empirický výskum bol realizovaný na základe analýzy odbornej literatúry zaoberajúcej sa biológiou dieťaťa, psychológiou a vzdelávaním žiakov na základných školách.
The paper brings the outcomes summary of the grant project KEGA No. 035UKF-4/2012 The programme of the space imagination development of lower secondary learners. During the period of solving the grant problem, the project team focused on the possibilities of the space imagination development of learners in the technical education in primary schools. The empirical research was carried out on the basis of the analysis of professional literature dealing with the child´s biology, psychology and education of primary school learners.

The present article presents the genesis of the international conference: andhighGeometry and geometrical education in the current second high school, which took place on November 22-25, 2012 in Togliatti StateUniversity. This conference was dedicated to the 70th jubilee of professorW.A. Gusiew (В.А. Гусев), world-wide famous professor of Mathematicseducation, author and co-author of Geometry textbooks and methodologicalguidebooks for teachers of Maths, published for the need of students’ geometricaleducation and having recommendation of the Russian Ministry ofEducation and Science. In this work the crucial threads of the plenary lectureof professor W.A. Gusiew and the points of the scientific program of theTogliatti Conference are discussed. The plenary lecture, as well as papersand groups’ and round table discussions revealed the results of research onthe problems of Geometry, and the state, quality and current problems ofgeometrical education of pupils and students. Both Russian and foreign participantsof the conference, while judging and summarizing the results of theconference, jointly expressed their concerns about the slow pace of adaptingthe educational systems to the Bologna process, and about the current stateand quality of Maths education. The legitimacy of those concerns is shownby the lower motivation of pupils and students to study Geometry and Maths, reduced number of Maths hours in school, confusing standards of Mathseducation, reduced requirements on the Maths school-leaving examinationand Maths exams in universities.

The author presents results of triangulated qualitative and quantitative research concerning institutional and individual support for gifted students’ development in Polish schools. The research study was conducted in three stages: case studies of schools, a survey of teachers’ perceptions and educational biographies transcribed from interviews of gifted and talented students. Conclusions are presented in the form of a model of educational support of gifted students’ development and recommendations concerning the planning and implementation of this support are proposed.

The article presents findings on the image of a teacher in primary school described by the 3rd grade pupils. The research analysis clearly indicates that according to the children, in early education the image of a teacher is positive. The majority of the test children group indicate favourable features, like kindness, calm, pleasant behaviour, goodness, justice, wisdom, intelligence. First of all, the children recognize the advantages of a teacher, although smart and sensible children – the ones that the 3rd grade pupils definitely are – can also notice negative features, disadvantages, for instance: loudness, nervousness, injustice. The children can recognize personal, didactic, and educational features, as well as intellectual and external ones. Many of the feature groups mentioned above are listed. The pupils declare that the issue which was the core of the research is very important for them.

The paper presents the results of research on the opinions of students of preschool and early childhood education (PECE) and special education (SE) on the importance of having various specific professional competencies by a teacher of inclusive education. The study used the diagnostic survey method and involved 202 students from both fields of study. Five categories of professional competencies were analysed: evaluative, psychological, innovative, communicative, and substantive-methodical. Both groups state that a high level of professional competence is especially expected when working with a pupil with an intellectual disability (ID).

In this study we present the results of a research aimed at determining the level of acquired science knowledge about health among Roma pupils of younger school age from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Health Education is not a separate subject in the Slovak education system, but it is implemented in several subjects, especially in primary education, science, physical and sports education, practical learning and in the cross-cutting theme of protection of life and health in primary education. The study was written with the support of the project APVV-17-0075 Health education in the education of Roma pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds solved at the University of Prešov, Faculty of Education. One of the sub-objectives of the project is to analyse the effectiveness of pro-health education – Health Education in the school curriculum of the primary level of education in the form of a didactic test.

The article is devoted to individual teaching as a form of education for pupils whose health condition prevents or significantly impedes school attendance. It is awarded by public psychological and pedagogical counselors at every educational stage from pre-school to post-gymnasium. Due to the time of research and collected data, the theoretical part of the book can be found not only in the laws and regulations of 2017, but also in the regulations which are no longer binding. The purpose of the dissertation is to answer the questions: What is individual teaching? On what basis can this form of education be obtained? What are the possible consequences of individual teaching? In the research part, the author analyzes data obtained fromthe resources of deliberately selected psychological and pedagogical clinics in Małopolskie Voivodship. The analysis was compiled with data from the Statistical Office in Krakow concerning the school year 2014/2015 and discussed.

Being able to understand the diversity of pupils in teaching brings many opportunities to establish various innovations in order to achieve more efficient results of education. One of the current trends in education is supportive inclusive education that is based on respecting the diversity of pupils. This contribution understands inclusive education as a way of implementing the educational process that suits the developmental needs of all pupils. Based on this understanding it identifies factors that influence the performance of pupils coming from socially disadvantaged background and it describes implications relating to confidence, attitudes and motivation of these pupils to learn. Within stimulation of the developmental needs of socially disadvantaged pupils we analyse the possibility to create attractive educative environment by the means of cooperative learning.

Naczelną funkcją szkoły od najdawniejszych czasów było przekazywanie wiedzy i kształcenie przyszłych pokoleń, a także sprzyjanie rozwojowi osobowości ucznia. Wraz z upływem czasu i przemianami społecznymi zmieniała się także tradycja edukacji szkolnej. Szkoła jako instytucja w XXI w. oprócz przekazywania wiedzy i wychowania powinna zajmować się też działaniami opiekuńczymi, bo tylko taka sytuacja warunkuje efektywność nauczania i kształcenia. Artykuł porusza bardzo istotne kwestie dotyczące sposobów realizacji funkcji opiekuńczej we współczesnej szkole. Ukazuje zasadność i potrzebę włączania tych działań w funkcjonowanie szkoły. Obecnie dużo miejsca poświęca się funkcji dydaktycznej i wychowawczej szkoły, natomiast znaczenie funkcji opiekuńczej jest dość marginalnie traktowane. Tymczasem opieka nad uczniem stanowi integralny element kształcenia. Każdy proces pedagogiczny bowiem powinien obejmować swoim zakresem kształcenie, wychowanie i opiekę nad dzieckiem.
The main function of school from the earliest times was passing on knowledge and educate future generations as well as develop student’s personalities. With the passage of time and social changes, the tradition of school education was also changed. The school as an institution in the twenty-first century, in addition to the transfer of knowledge and educating students, should also deal with care activities, because only such a situation determines the effectiveness of teaching and education. The article raises very important issues regarding the ways of performing the caring function in the modern school. It shows the legitimacy and the need to include these activities in the functioning of schools. Currently, a lot of space is devoted to the didactic and educational functions of school, while the importance of the caring function is treated quite marginally. Meanwhile, student care is an integral part of education. Every pedagogical process should include teaching/learning, education and childcare.

The aim of the article is the analysis of the foundations in curricular reform in education initiated in 2017 in order to observe how student’s subjectivity is understood in the reform. The most important educational regulations were analised. They were the Law of 14 December 2016 of Education Law and the Statute of 14 February 2017 of the Minister of Education conserning the core curriculum in the nursery education and the core curriculum in genaral education for primary schools together with mentally disabled students (both moderate and significant disability) and the core curriculum in general education for 1st degree vocational schools , general education for special school preparing to work and general education for post-secondary schools. The study shows that authors of the reform repeatedly refer to pupils as the subject od pedagogical and educational activities in the reformed system. This attitude is visible in the choice of educational content, methods, organisation and creating of suitable conditions right for individual needs of each pupil. As far as upbringing is conserned the reform focuses on student’s development in each field, acquiring proper cognitive and social experiences. The teacher’ s role is to support pupil’s development and form their identity based on values.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to try to answer the question: what place in the life of pupils of grades I–III primary school occupies a book? The theoretical part contains general comments on the stages of children’s reading education. In the practical part, the diagnostic survey method was used, based on the survey technique and questionnaire survey as a research tool. This method allowed us to obtain information on the attitude of young respondents to the book. The study was conducted among primary school pupils located in the town and commune of Czerwionka-Leszczyny. The results, presented in tabular form and labeled with a verbal comment, argue that, contrary to popular belief, children like to read, reaching for a book not only from instrumental but primarily autotelic motifs. Our article may be useful for early school educators, librarians working in schools to know what books are at the heart of the young readers, and for all readers interested in reading.
Celem artykułu jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie: jakie miejsce w życiu uczniów klas I–III szkoły podstawowej zajmuje książka? Część teoretyczna zawiera ogólne uwagi dotyczące etapów edukacji czytelniczej dzieci. W części praktycznej zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, opartą na technice ankiety, i kwestionariusz ankiety jako narzędzie badawcze. Metoda ta pozwoliła na uzyskanie informacji na temat stosunku młodych respondentów do książ- ki. Badania przeprowadzono wśród uczniów szkół podstawowych, usytuowanych na terenie miasta i gminy Czerwionka-Leszczyny. Uzyskane wyniki, które zaprezentowano w postaci tabel i opatrzono komentarzem słownym, przekonują, że wbrew powszechnej opinii dzieci lubią czytać, sięgając po książkę nie tylko z motywów instrumentalnych, ale przede wszystkim autotelicznych. Artykuł może okazać się przydatny dla nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, bibliotekarzy pracujących w szkole, aby wiedzieli, jakie książki znajdują się w centrum zainteresowania młodych czytelników, a także wszystkich osób interesujących się zagadnieniem czytelnictwa.

Artykuł prezentuje pokrótce historię rozwoju myśli wychowania do twórczości, przedstawiając postacie najbardziej zasłużonych polskich pedagogów i psychologów, którzy wnieśli istotny wkład w rozwój dyscypliny zwanej pedagogiką twórczości. W treści zawarte są także odniesienia do praktyki wychowania do twórczości ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. Wskazuje na uwarunkowania prawne aktualnej praktyki pedagogicznej w zakresie działań rozwijających postawę twórczą uczniów klas I–III oraz prezentuje wyniki badań myślenia twórczego w poszczególnych aspektach: płynności, giętkości i oryginalności myślenia oraz wrażliwości na problemy. Test badający zdolność myślenia twórczego zastosowano wobec 204 uczniów klas III oraz 10 nauczycieli uczących w tych klasach. Analiza badań wykazała, że uczniowie prezentują średni poziom myślenia twórczego, pomimo że tylko w 1 klasie nauczyciel stosował dodatkowy program stymulujący kreatywność i twórczość uczniów.
The article presents briefly a history of the development of education for creation thought, presenting the figures of the most distinguished Polish educators and psychologists who have made a significant contribution to the development of the discipline called pedagogy of creativity. In the contents there are also references to the practice of education for creativity with special emphasis on the early childhood education. I point to the legal conditions of the current educational practices in activities developing creative attitude of pupils from classes I–III, and present the results of creative thinking in different aspects: fluency, flexibility and originality of thinking and sensitivity to the problems. The test study exploring the ability of creative thinking was conducted amongst 204 students in 3rd classes and 10 teachers who teach in these classes. The analysis indicated that the students represent the average level of creative thinking despite the fact that only 1 teacher used the additional program stimulating creation and creativity of the students.

In June 2016, the author conducted a survey research in all schools located within the district town Miandrivazo. The study was conducted on a group of 581 students. One of the aims of the research was to identify the motives of students to take up school education. Based on the research, we can clearly see that for the surveyed students, education is an instrumental value, a means to achieve their goals. Knowledge acquired at school is also a value in itself for the students. It is a good, a heritage, and the best thing that their parents can offer them.
