Opis:: Electromobility is associated with the ever faster development and introduction of new electric vehicles to the market. They use an electric motor to drive the wheels of the vehicle and the necessary electricity is stored in traction batteries. Electric vehicles have a different construction than traditional vehicles i.e. those powered by internal combustion engines. For this reason, the manner of use, maintenance and service are different. Familiarization with selected operational issues of electric vehicles positively affects the reliability of their use as well as safety and comfort of driving. An important component of electric vehicles is the traction battery. Its proper operation influences the long-term preservation of the initial energy capacity and, thus, the range of the vehicle. The article presents tests of the state of traction batteries of a small electrically powered city vehicle. The vehicle, the batteries and the diagnostic devices used to assess the condition of the battery are described in detail. Based on the literature analysis and the observation of market trends, a fast and effective method of assessment of the technical condition of batteries in electric vehicles is proposed. The method has been tested on the selected vehicle. The technical condition of the battery in the vehicle was assessed after 4.5 years of operation and 30,000 km mileage.

Opis:: Paper presents simulation model of pro-ecological transport system (PTS). Model allows computational experimentation and inference on transport modal split and emission of pollution in a national scale. The characteristics describing infrastructure, vehicles, and harmful compounds emission are given. Model is implemented in VISUM – a tool supporting planning of transport processes as well as analysis and designing of transport systems. The demand for transport services and emission of exhaust gases components are reflected in model of pro-ecological transport system of Poland. In particularly, Representation of model of pro-ecological transport system, transport sub-systems and segments of demand in freight transport in simulation model of PST, detailed assumptions of onboard measurements for Mercedes C200, detailed results of on-board measurements of pollutants, CO2 emission in function of instantaneous velocity and acceleration, representation of pollutants emitted by freight transport in Poland, as well general assumptions for designing simulation model of pro-ecological transport system and material and passenger flows distribution and the pollution emission are presented in the paper.

Opis:: Transport is one of the most environmentally destructive branches of economy. It contributes to environmental degradation and influences negatively on human live. It should therefore seek to reduce the negative impact on the environment. The paper presents many aspects of development of the national transport system. In article characterized technical constraints and environmental issues, which are applicable to the designing of pro-ecological transport system. Presented in it also indicators of the proposed design solution quality. In shaping the pro-ecological system the special role plays environmental restrictions, because they mainly determine the quality of solutions in terms of minimizing the negative impact of transport on the environment. Technical factors are equally important, because they allow, among others, reducing the external costs of congestions and allow on the creation of transport tasks on the appropriate level. In particularly, EU requirements for sustainable development of the transport system, the components of the external costs arising from the sphere of transport, indicators and ecological limitations in designing of pro-ecological transport system, ecological limitations, technical limitations, indicators for assessing pro-ecological transport system are presented in the paper.

Opis:: Dynamiczny rozwój transportu jest istotnym czynnikiem rozwoju gospodarczego i znaczącym źródłem uciążliwości do- tyczących głównie negatywnego wpływu na środowisko. Jedną z metod pozwalających na poprawę sytuacji w tym obszarze jest racjonalne planowanie rozwoju systemu transportowego. W artykule omówiono problematykę modelowania rozwoju systemu transportowego. Scharakteryzowano problemy środowiskowe, które są brane pod uwagę przy modelowaniu rozwoju systemu transportowego. Ponadto omówiono koncepcję modelu rozwoju proekologicznego systemu transportowego, będącego rozwinięciem modelu proekologicznego systemu stanowiącego efekt prac nad projektem EMITRANSYS. Wskazano jego elementy oraz zastosowanie.
Dynamic development of transport is important factor of economic development and significant source of nuisance regarding mainly negative impact on environment. One of methods to improve situation is rational planning of transport system development. Article discusses problem of transport system development modelling. Environmental problems, which are taken into account were characterized. Concept of model for pro-ecological transport system development, which is an extension of model constituting effect of work on EMITRANSYS project, was discussed. Its elements and application were indicated.

Opis:: The concept of an innovative support tool for freight transport used in planning, organization and realization is presented in this paper. In addition to the basic functions of a fleet management tool, the educative approach towards environmentally friendly behaviour will be based on promoting ecological solutions, such as unconventionally powered cars, e.g., electric vehicles (EVs). The suggested criteria for a routing algorithm, which will be implemented in the freight transport planner tool, not only allows routing in relation to time and cost criteria, but also the criterion regarding the limitation of emissions of harmful factors. The implementation of innovative the S-mile platform gives rise to environmentally friendly cognition behaviour in the freight transport sector. This is a fundamental aspect to its application, which could help to move the planning, organization and realization of freight transport in the direction of more environmental friendly solutions.

Opis:: Celem niniejszego opracowania jest ukazanie pozytywnego wpływu sprawnego i ekologicznego systemu transportu miejskiego na jakość życia w polskich miastach. Rozwiązanie poważnego problemu, jaki stanowi stale narastająca i negatywna w skutkach kongestia oraz związany z nią obniżony poziom bezpieczeństwa i komfortu mieszkańców, wiąże się z koniecznością powszechnego przeciwdziałania użytkowaniu pojazdów indywidualnych poprzez wprowadzanie ograniczeń ruchu w miastach, a zarazem promowanie, rozwój oraz zwiększanie atrakcyjności publicznego transportu miejskiego, komunikacji rowerowej i pieszej. Przykładem takiej inicjatywy w Polsce, zrealizowanej w czterech wybranych miastach, jest europejski projekt CIVITAS.
This paper aims at achievement of positive influence of effective and ecological municipal transport system on life quality in Polish cities. Solving the serious problem of constantly growing and having negative effects congestion, and connected with it lower safety level and inhabitants comfort level, is connected with necessity of common counter measures against usage of individual vehicles by introduction of traffc limits in cities and simultaneously promoting, developing and increasing attractiveness of public transport, bicycle and pedestrian communication. The european project cIVItaS, realized in four chosen cities, is the example of this initiative in Poland.

W zagospodarowaniu przestrzeni Tychów odzwierciedlają się wszystkie tendencje urbanistyczno-architektoniczne realizowane w Polsce po II wojnie światowej, od socrealizmu charakterystycznego dla lat 50. XX w., poprzez wielokondygnacyjne bloki z „wielkiej płyty” do deweloperskich osiedli jedno- i wielorodzinnych XXI w. Podróż trolejbusem umożliwia poznanie różnorodnych architektonicznie i funkcjonalnie osiedli tworzących niepowtarzalny krajobraz miasta zaplanowanego jako „ sypialnia” dla Górnośląskiego Okręgu Przemysłowego.
The article presents an outline of trolley-bus transportation in Tychy, as well as selected elements of the cultural landscape of the city extending along trolley-bus lines. The trolley-bus routes provide the possibility to get to know a city unique in its kind - designed and consistently developed as a city with a dominating residential function. The space development of Tychy reflects all urban and architectural tendencies realized in Poland after World War II, from socialist realism characteristic of the 1950s, through prefab high-rises, to developed single- and multi-family apartment complexes. Travelling by trolley-bus allows one to familiarize themselves with the architecturally and functionally diverse housing complexes that create the unique landscape of the city designed to be a sleeper city for the Upper-Silesian Industrial Region.

Opis:: Hydrogenation of the motor transport has become the highest form of broadly understood contemporary electro mobility, with the use of hybrid vehicles through fully electrical vehicles to fuel cell vehicles. This article presents development of hydrogen technology applying fuel cells, in particular in road transport. The emission of greenhouse gases in the production cycles of the said fuel were discussed, depending on the use of various energy carriers in its production. Emphasis was given to the rationale underlying the production of hydrogen for the needs of fuel cells. Furthermore, the advantages were presented of exploiting electrical power for the production of hydrogen with the use of renewable sources of energy. The example of France was used to discuss the advantages of the hydrogen fuel technology for reducing the emission of combustion pollutants, in particular the emission of carbon dioxide. The article also evaluates – on the example of Poland – average unit costs (PLN/km) for using fuel cell vehicles. At present, they will be higher than in case of vehicles with conventional drivers. High cost is one of the causes – apart from limited production of fuel cell vehicles – of slacked development of the hydrogen fuel technology. The article also presents premises for the road transport hydrogenation national plan in Poland.

Opis:: Article shows analysis of implemented telematic system FleetBoard in transportation company X. The values of gauges were evaluated, there generated in monthly reports. The gauges include such as criteria like: driving style, difficulty to use, distance, average weight, average of fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, average of speed and other. Each of report concerns of one truck and semi-trailer. Research include data and information for monthly reports for 12 trucks from six months, which splitted to two three month duration parts. The aim of article is affirm or override hypothesis: Include ecodriving contribute to improvement exploitation transportation fleet. The article witch splitted to two parts. First parts shows review of literature, second parts contains results of conducted analysis, scores and conclusions.

Główne problemy środowiskowe w tym obszarze to: gromadzenie zużytych akumulatorów z pojazdów zasilanych bateryjnie jako odpady niebezpieczne oraz problem ich jednolitej utylizacji; redystrybucja emisji z operacji transportowych, ale nie ich redukcja; skupienie się tylko na jednej technologii – pojazdach elektrycznych zasilanych bateriami; koszty energii transportu i źródła ich pokrycia. Autorzy przedstawiają podstawy prawne mechanizmów przezwyciężania badanych problemów zarówno na Ukrainie, jak i w krajach świata.
The authors of the paper have studied the current tendencies in motor transport, threats to the ecological safety of people from the introduction of new technologies in this area and the main legal mechanisms to reduce the negative impacts on humans caused by vehicles. The main environmental problems in this area are: accumulation of used batteries from battery-powered vehicles as hazardous waste and the problem of their unified disposal; redistribution of emissions from transport operations, but not their reduction; focusing on only one technology – battery-powered electric vehicles; energy costs of transport and sources of their coverage. The authors offer the basis of legal mechanisms for overcoming the studied problems both in Ukraine and in the countries of the world.

Opis:: Poland's location in the central part of Europe means international communications routes connecting north and south of the continent and east and west. Many Polish roads are transit routes that pass through environmentally valuable areas, run through forests and swamps, and cross migration routes of animals. A physical impact of transport on the environment is multipronged; it concerns, in particular, the quality of air, water, and soil, as well as disturbance of biodiversity, landscape planning, acoustic climate, the danger of vibrations and road security. Moreover, environmental resources are necessary for the efficient functioning of the transport system to generate energy, but on the other hand, to build infrastructure facilities. Apart from sustainable development, ecological security is one of the approaches to understand and solve environmental problems. Simultaneously, compared to issues connected with economics, politics, social and military problems, attempts to securitize ecology and the environment have a relatively short story. The article aims to identify threats for ecological security and solutions connected with road transport functioning in Poland.
Położenie Polski w centralnej części Europy sprawia, że przez jej terytorium prowadzą międzynarodowe szlaki komunikacyjne łączące północ z południem i wschód z zachodem kontynentu. Wiele dróg w Polsce, będących między innymi szlakami tranzytowymi, przechodzi przez tereny cenne przyrodniczo, biegnie przez lasy, mokradła, przecina szlaki migracji zwierząt. Fizyczny wpływ transportu na środowisko jest wieloaspektowy, dotyczy on przede wszystkim: stanu powietrza, stanu wód i gleb, zakłóceń bioróżnorodności, zagospodarowania przestrzennego, klimatu akustycznego, zagrożeń wibracjami i bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym. Co więcej, do efektywnego funkcjonowania systemu transportowego niezbędne są zasoby środowiska potrzebne z jednej strony do pozyskiwania energii, z drugiej zaś do budowy obiektów infrastrukturalnych. Obecnie, obok koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju, bezpieczeństwo ekologiczne stanowi jedno z podejść do zrozumienia i rozwiązania problemów środowiskowych. Jednocześnie, w porównaniu z zagadnieniami związanymi z ekonomią, polityką, problemami społecznymi czy militarnymi, próby sekurytyzacji ekologii i środowiska naturalnego mają relatywnie krótką historię. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zagrożeń i dla bezpieczeństwa ekologicznego oraz możliwych rozwiązań związanych z funkcjonowaniem transportu samochodowego w Polsce.

Opis:: Tłokowe silniki spalinowe stosowane do napędu pojazdów samochodowych mają znaczący szkodliwy wpływ na środowisko życia człowieka. Powoduje to, że rozwój silników spalinowych jest od wielu lat stymulowany stale rosnącymi normatywnymi wymaganiami ekologicznymi. Wprowadzane są nowe rozwiązania w konstrukcji silników. Zmieniane są warunki zachodzenia procesów roboczych w ich cylindrach. Stosowane są nowe rozwiązania w układach zasilania paliwem, dolotu powietrza i wy-lotu spalin. Zmieniany jest skład paliw konwencjonalnych i poszukiwane są paliwa alternatywne oraz rozwijane są nowe rodzaje układów napędowych. W artykule przedstawiono porównanie wybranych wskaźników efektywnych i ekologicznych dwóch silników o takiej samej konstrukcji, ale różniących się przede wszystkim rodzajem układu zasilania i sposobem sterowania przebiegiem doprowadzania paliwa i powietrza do cylindrów. Jeden z silników to Perkins 1104D-44TA sterowany mechanicznie i wyposażony w układ zasilania z rozdzielaczową pompą wtryskową. Drugi to Perkins 1104D-E44TA sterowany elektronicznie, w którym paliwo jest doprowadzane do cylindrów z wykorzystaniem układu zasilania Common Rail. Podczas badań stanowiskowych silniki pracowały według dwóch charakterystyk obciążeniowych. Wyznaczono i porównano wartości godzinowego zużycia paliwa, jednostkowego zużycia paliwa oraz wartości stężeń podstawowych składników spalin i zadymienia spalin badanych silników.
Piston combustion engines used for propelling vehicles have a significantly harmful impact upon people’s living environment. As a result, for many years now the development of combustion engines has been to a large extent de-fined by growing legal ecological requirements. New constructional solutions are being introduced, the conditions of working processes in engine cylinders are being changed, new solutions are being implemented in fuel feeding systems, air intake systems and fumes exhaust. The composition of conventional fuel is being modified, alternative fuels are being sought for and new types of powering systems are being developed. This paper presents the comparison of selected efficiency and ecological indicators of two engines having the same construction, but different in the type of powering and the method of controlling the process of supplying fuel and air into cylinders. One of the engines is Perkins 1104D-44TA, mechanically controlled and equipped with a feeding system with distributor injection pump. The second one is the Perkins 1104D-E44TA, electronically controlled, where fuel is supplied into the cylinders by means of the Common Rail system. During the tests, the engines operated according to two load characteristics. Hourly and specific fuel consumption as well as concentration levels of main components of exhaust fumes and smokiness have been identified and compared.
