E-commerce is becoming more and more popular. The COVID-19 pandemic made its development even faster. Currently, an enterprise that does not provide its services via the Internet is suffering heavy losses. Online shopping is largely different from traditional purchases, so their assessment should be made on the basis of different criteria. The aim of the paper was to assess the quality of services provided by the selected e-shop, in terms of its commercial services. The first stage of the research was the analysis of the literature in terms of hierarchical models of e-service quality, which in their structure indicate the areas of assessment. This allowed for the construction of the author’s hierarchical model of e-services and for making a list of attributes that were used in further research. On the example of the clothing e-shop, an analysis of the provided services was made, taking into account the opinions of its customers. The Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) was selected as the basis for conducting the survey research and analyzing its results, which facilitates the commenting of the obtained results. The research allowed to indicate the strengths and weaknesses of the examined e-shop, but also to identify areas requiring improvement in order to increase the quality of the offered services, as well as the customers satisfaction.

With rapid growth of the Internet, companies adopted the new information and communication technology to offer e-services to their customers. This paper addresses e-service quality issue in the electronic marketplace. Service quality of e-retailers has been recognized as an important factor in determining success of e-commerce ventures. The objective of this research is to develop a theoretical, comprehensive, and measurable framework for assessing the quality of e-commerce services and to indicate factors, which are significant for customers satisfaction and high quality online shopping experiences. This paper reviewed the most recognized evaluation criteria, which are used in different e-commerce websites, and proposes a general comprehensive framework for evaluating the quality of any e-commerce service regarding to two main areas: website features and customer service in e-commerce platform. The detailed list of quality attributes in both assessment areas was derived from the reviewed literature. The survey and analysis described in this paper enable a better understanding of the influence these quality attributes on the main quality assessment categories. The results provide an important foundation for the understanding of quality in e-commerce services that will allow to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each e-commerce service. This paper concludes by discussing the findings of this study and highlighting areas for the future research.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of e service quality toward customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in mobile banking services. At present, mobile technology increasingly plays more important roles in daily life. Mobile banking (M-banking) has a noticeably growth rate in accordance to the growing number of mobile device users. Commercial banks compete to develop their mobile banking application to be more efficient, convenient, user friendly, and secure for customers. This study includes 432 samples of Thai mobile banking users in 2015, and SEM is used to investigate the impact of e service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty. The finding showed that overall e service quality significantly affects customer satisfaction and loyalty. Trust, reliability, and responsiveness are the first, second, and third important dimensions to explain e service quality. This study provides insights to researchers, practitioners and managers on the significance of electronic service quality for customer satisfaction and loyalty. Furthermore, each dimension of electronic service quality differently influence to a mobile banking strategic implementation.
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zbadanie wpływu jakości usług elektronicznych na satysfakcję i lojalność klienta w usługach bankowości mobilnej. Obecnie technologia mobilna odgrywa coraz ważniejszą rolę w życiu codziennym. Rynek bankowości mobilnej (m-banking) charakteryzuje się zauważalnym tempem wzrostu w związku z rosnącą liczbą użytkowników urządzeń mobilnych. Banki komercyjne konkurują w rozwijaniu swoich aplikacji bankowości mobilnej, aby były bardziej wydajne, wygodne, przyjazne i bezpieczne dla klientów. Niniejsze studium przeprowadzono w roku 2015 i objęło ono 432 użytkowników bankowości mobilnej w Tajlandii. Do zbadania wpływu jakości e-usług na satysfakcję i lojalność klienta użyto SEM. Wyniki wykazały, że ogólna jakość elektronicznych usług znacząco wpływa na zadowolenie i lojalność klienta. Trzema ważnymi wymiarami, które wyjaśniają jakość e-usług są: zaufanie, niezawodność i elastyczność. Niniejsze opracowanie dostarcza dla badaczy, praktyków i menedżerów wiedzy odnośnie znaczenia jakości obsługi elektronicznej dla zadowolenia i lojalności klienta. Ponadto, każdy wymiar jakości świadczenia usług elektronicznych w różny sposób wpływa na strategiczną implementację bankowości mobilnej.

The development of e-commerce and communication technologies has allowed changes in the traditional trading system, currently customers can use both stationery shops and e-shops. People no longer need to leave their homes to go shopping, even everyday groceries. They can use the e-shop at any time of day or night, at home or at work. There are no queues, they can get to know other people’s opinions, compare products and services with each other. They can shop while sitting on the sofa in front of the TV and sipping tea. Shopping can be done in the e-shop up to thousands of kilometers away. Especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic, online shopping has become very popular. The aim of the paper was to assess the quality of services offered by the research e-shop. During the research the Critical Incident Technique (CIT) was used. A direct interview was conducted with the customers of the research e-shop who, after using its services, agreed to share their impressions and opinions. They were supposed to describe incidents or situations related to the research e-shop, which they have in their memory, and which caused special satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The analysis allowed to indicate that less than 50% of the incidents described by the customers were positive incidents that cause customers’ high satisfaction, which is not a good situation for the research e-shop. Improvement actions are needed.

Celem artykułu jest dokonanie oceny jakości cyfrowej usługi pocztowej z wykorzystaniem metody e-servqual. Pierwsza część opracowania zawiera analizę literatury z zakresu metody Servqual oraz powstałej na jej fundamentach metody E-Servqual- przedstawione zostały założenia tych metod, sposób ich praktycznego wykorzystania oraz zasady interpretacji wyników. Następnie w treści opracowania zawarto wyniki badań empirycznych- próbę dokonania oceny poziomu jakości cyfrowej usługi pocztowej z wykorzystaniem standardowych wymiarów metody E-Servqual.
The objective of the article has been to present assessing the quality of the digital postal service using the E-Servqual method. The first part of the study contains the theoretical framework of the Servqual method and the E-Servqual method established on its foundations- the assumptions of these methods, their practical use and the rules for the interpretations of results have been presented. Afterwards, the context of the study includes the results of empirical research- an attempt to assess the quality level of the digital postal service using the standard dimensions of the E-Servqual method.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the learning process, which was previously carried out conventionally with face-to-face interaction, into an online learning activity (e-learning). e-Learning has several benefits, but it also has some challenges that need to be addressed. A preliminary survey has been conducted by asking open-ended questions regarding students' experience and obstacles during e-learning to determine their perceptions of e-learning, and the results showed that there were problems faced by students in implementing e-learning, especially pertaining to student loyalty. Previous research has stated that e-learning service quality exercises an influence on student satisfaction and student loyalty. This research focusses on the influence of e-learning service quality factors on student perceived value (SPV) and student satisfaction, and ultimately on its role in influencing student loyalty. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, wherein data were gathered, using judgement sampling, from 309 undergraduate students enrolled across six universities in Tangerang. These data were analysed by partial least squares structural equation modelling (SEM-PLS), and the results of the analysis indicated the presence of a positive and significant relationship between these variables. Resultant to the analysis, there emerged some useful suggestions for educational institutions and lecturers that would enable them to improve the quality of e-learning. The findings of the present study imply that improving the factors of e-learning service quality will inculcate in students a favourable value perception towards the university, as well as create a feeling of satisfaction in them, arising from the fulfilling character of the experience to which they were exposed during the e-learning process; these phenomena are expected in turn to increase students' loyalty towards the university.

Among the processes that take place in service enterprises and that determine their results, the service provision process needs special attention. Customers take an active part in it, deciding what the service should look like, and having the option to modify it while it is being providing. Therefore, the course of the service provision process influences how customers perceive a given service, whether they are satisfied, and whether the services quality is at the appropriate level. The development of technology and digitization have resulted in the fact that many customers prefer e-services, shopping online. In this case, the service provision process looks different from the traditional services, and the customers’ participation in this process is even greater. All activities related to ordering the service are performed by them. They base their decisions on own experience or the opinions of other customers. Therefore, when assessing the services quality, the customer largely assesses its provision process. The aim of the paper was to assess the course of the service provision process by customers from various European countries. The results’ analysis was based on the assumptions of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The research allowed not only to assess the service provision process, but also to indicate the attributes that, according to customers, met their expectations and those that cause their dissatisfaction and lower the overall level of service quality, so need potential corrective actions. The research can be used by different e-service enterprises in order to improve their service provision process. The attributes indicated in the work, which are important for customers, should be taken into account by e-shops to improve the quality of the services they provide, and thus affect the level of customer satisfaction.
Wśród procesów zachodzących w przedsiębiorstwach usługowych i determinujących ich wyniki na szczególną uwagę zasługuje proces świadczenia usług. Klienci biorą w nim czynny udział, decydując o tym, jak ma wyglądać usługa i mając możliwość jej modyfikacji w trakcie jej świadczenia. Dlatego też przebieg procesu świadczenia usługi wpływa na to, jak klienci postrzegają daną usługę, czy są zadowoleni i czy jakość usług jest na odpowiednim poziomie. Rozwój technologii i cyfryzacja spowodowały, że wielu klientów preferuje e-usługi, zakupy online. W tym przypadku proces świadczenia usług wygląda inaczej niż w przypadku tradycyjnych usług, a udział klientów w tym procesie jest jeszcze większy. Wszystkie czynności związane z zamówieniem usługi są przez nich wykonywane. Swoje decyzje opierają na własnych doświadczeniach lub opiniach innych klientów. Dlatego oceniając jakość usług, klient w dużej mierze ocenia proces jej świadczenia. Celem artykułu była ocena przebiegu procesu świadczenia usług przez klientów z różnych krajów europejskich. Analiza wyników została oparta na założeniach IPA (Importance Performance Analysis). Badanie pozwoliło nie tylko ocenić proces świadczenia usług, ale także wskazać atrybuty, które zdaniem klientów spełniły ich oczekiwania oraz te, które powodują ich niezadowolenie i obniżają ogólny poziom jakości obsługi, a więc wymagają ewentualnych działań naprawczych. Badania mogą być wykorzystane przez różne przedsiębiorstwa e-usługowe w celu usprawnienia procesu świadczenia usług. Wskazane w pracy atrybuty, które są ważne dla klientów, powinny być brane pod uwagę przez e-sklepy w celu podniesienia jakości świadczonych przez nich usług, a tym samym wpłynąć na poziom zadowolenia klientów.

The growth of e-commerce has highlighted the importance of express courier service (ECS). We empirically study consumer’s choice of ECS in purchasing goods online. This research aims to examine the effect of service quality (SQ), shipping cost, brand, and attitude towards customers’ intention to choose ECS on e-commerce. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach among customers who intended their goods to be shipped using ECS. Data of 100 respondents were collected and then analyzed using the structural equation model technique. We find that there is no correlation between SQ and shipping cost and the attitude towards choosing a courier service. However, the analysis indicates that brand has an infl uence on the customer’s attitude towards choosing a courier service. Furthermore, the analysis suggests that the consumer’s attitude towards choosing a courier service acts as a mediator between SQ, shipping cost, and brand as regards the consumer’s intention to choose an ECS. It is worth noting that brand has a stronger infl uence on the consumer’s attitude compared to the former factors.

Advanced technology allows the banks to enhance its operations with cost cutting effectively and efficiently in order to handle daily banking affairs via online banking channel. Customers are being facilitated by reducing their visits in banks and doing their transactions via internet or ATM machines instead of personally visiting the branches. The purpose of this study is attempts to investigate the effective factors of facilitate using e-banking services for customers. This study is approached by using survey method to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Data were collected through questionnaires which were attached by a letter explaining the purpose of study and assuring respondents of the confidentiality of their answers, those participants were online banking users in Poland. Statistical tools were used to test hypotheses and achieve the objectives, thus the research is descriptive and as a result quantitative methods have been used. The findings indicate that the entire hypotheses are supported positively the effectiveness of e-banking environment in customer service, and provide valuable information for banking industry, hopefully.
Zaawansowana technologia umożliwia bankom prowadzenie operacji, w celu zwiększenia swoich operacji, cięcia kosztów i skutecznej obsługi codziennych spraw bankowych, poprzez kanał bankowości internetowej. Klienci są zadowolenie gdyż liczba ich wizyt w banku została zmniejszona, a swoje operacje przeprowadzają za pośrednictwem internetu lub maszyn ATM, zamiast osobiście odwiedzać oddziały. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba zbadania czynników ułatwiających skuteczne korzystanie z usług bankowości elektronicznej dla klientów. Badanie zostało przeprowadzone przy wykorzystaniu metody ankiety, służącej do badania relacji między zmiennych niezależnych i zależnych. Dane zebrano za pomocą ankiet, które zostały dostarczone wraz z pismem wyjaśniającym cel badania, i zapewnienie respondentów o poufności ich wypowiedzi, uczestnikami badania byli użytkownicy bankowości online w Polsce. Do zbadania hipotezy i osiągnięcia celu wykorzystane zostały narzędzia statystyczne, dlatego też badanie jest opisowe, a w rezultacie wykorzystano metody ilościowe. Wyniki badań wskazują, że postawione hipotezy są prawdziwe i przedstawiają efektywność bankowości w obsłudze klienta, dostarczają także cennych informacji dla samego sektora bankowego.

The current market situation has forced enterprises to change the place where they offer their products. Due to the covid-19 restrictions, in order not to lose customers and be able to continue earning money, they had to create or use various types of online platforms and organize e-shops where customers can make purchases without any restrictions. With properly designed and organized platforms, customers can check other customers’ opinions about a given enterprise and its offer, choose what they need, how they want to pay, what type of delivery of the ordered goods they prefer, and they can do it at any time of the day or night and from anywhere with access to the Internet. However, it can be noticed that not all platforms operating on the market meet the expectations of customers, they do not have many functions, and there is even lack of the basic information about the enterprise or contact details. In such a situation, customers are uncertain about the safety of using such a platform, often prefer to use a competitive e-shop. That is why, when assessing the operation of e-shops and the quality of its services, it is necessary to take into account the assessment of the operation of the online platform itself. The aim of the paper is to assess the functioning of the selected internet platform and its operation by customers. The Sitequal method, a variation of the Servqual method, was used during the research. The results of the research helped to show whether the customers were satisfied with the functioning of the platform, what they liked and what they would like to improve. This allowed to indicate the strengths and weaknesses of this platform and possible direction of improvements. The results obtained can form the basis for various types of enterprises to improve their online platforms.

The paper deals with the problem of Quality of Web Service (QoWS) in e-commerce Web servers, i.e. in retail Web stores. It concerns the admission control and scheduling algorithm for a Web server system, which aims at preventing the system from overload to provide high QoWS level and ultimately, to increase Web site's conversion rate, i.e. to turn more visitors into customers. The sensitivity of the algorithm to changes in its basic parameter values was analyzed by using a simulation-based approach. Special attention was paid to evaluation of the parameter impact on conventional and business-related system performance metrics.

This paper deals with the burst ratio parameter, which describes the burstiness of a packet loss observed in digital networks. It is one of the input parameters of E-model – the most widely used method of assessing conversational quality of telephony. The burst ratio is defined for one channel scenario so it can be calculated when the whole transmission path has been characterized by a single set of parameters. The main objective of the paper is to extend the burst ratio definition when the transmission path is defined as a tandem concatenation of transmission channels being described by their individual burst ratios. It is assumed that packet loss of a single channel is described by a 2-state Markov chain. The final result of the research is an equation describing the burst ratio parameter when the transmission path consists of multiple concatenated channels. The derived formula has been validated by extensive simulations.

With the rapid spread of COVID-19 posing indefinite lockdowns globally with easy and cheap access to internet, e-learning tools are gaining popularity as a medium of learning. The area of e learning service quality is getting attention. The spate of conferences and webinars were conducted and many educational institutions have shifted from traditional means of teaching to online virtual classrooms. Many researchers previously suggested that acceptance of e-learning courses is influenced by perceived service quality. However, proper measurement e learning service quality is an issue which remains unaddressed. As far as higher education is concerned, the success, of this program shows varied results. There is a lack of studies especially in the area of student’s perception of e learning service quality in higher education context. The study also assesses the technological forced shifting in the area during covid 19. Therefore this study is initiated with a desire to assess e learning quality vis a vis student satisfaction through SERVQUAL model in higher education. In order to accomplish our objectives and in the light of extant literature review and discussion, the study utilizes adapted SERVQUAL scale. This study, Utilized a SERVQUAL Model for measuring e learning among higher education students. The study assesses unidimensionality through (CFA). Analysis was conducted to investigate the reliability and validity of the research scale, and the structural equation model (SEM) to examine the hypothesized model.

Opis:
The main objectives of the MarCom project (‘Maritime Communications - broadband at sea’) are to investigate the main user needs and communication technologies requirements to accommodate those needs within the maritime community. The project will carry out several pilots to demonstrate the usability of terrestrial wireless technologies in combination with, and in some areas instead of satellite communication (SatCom). The major benefit to the maritime users are expected to be reduced costs, increased bandwidth, Quality-of-Service (QoS) and improved communication security and versatility. The MarCom approach is characterized by combining thorough investigations of present and future user needs through nine scenarios/user cases along with identification of cost-effective communication platforms to match the application requirements being obtained. The MarCom investigations have revealed the bandwidth needs for a set of application groups, and identified the data integrity requirements for each group. Furthermore this paper is addressing the MarCom work with the IMO/IALA e-Navigation strategic initiative in establishing the bandwidth requirements to obtain the major objectives of the e-Navigation concept.
