Prof. Wojciech Krzysztof Świątkiewicz jest przede wszystkim socjologiem kultury i socjologiem religii. W swoich rozważaniach teoretycznych i w badaniach empirycznych podejmował także ważne zagadnienia mieszczące się w ramach socjologii moralności. W niniejszym artykule zostały omówione z tej dziedziny następujące zagadnienia: socjologia Dekalogu, socjologia postaw prospołecznych młodzieży i osób dorosłych oraz socjologia moralności życia małżeńskiego i rodzinnego. W Polsce wielu socjologów religii w swoich badaniach empirycznych przyjmuje moralność jako ważny wymiar (dymensja) religijności. Do nich należy także i profesor Świątkiewicz, łączący w swoich badaniach empirycznych obydwie perspektywy socjologiczne.
Prof. Wojciech Krzysztof Świątkiewicz is, above all, a sociologist of culture and a sociologist of religion. In his theoretical considerations and empirical research, he also took up important issues within the framework of the sociology of morality. In these considerations, we will discuss the following issues in this field: the sociology of the Decalogue, the sociology of pro-social attitudes of young people and adults, and the sociology of morality in marriage and family life. In Poland, many sociologists of religion in their empirical research take morality as an important dimension (dimension) of religiosity. One of them is also Professor Świątkiewicz, who combines both sociological perspectives in his empirical research.

The films of Krzysztof Kieślowski arrived in Spain comparatively late, and when they did so this was mainly due to the Film Festivals at San Sebastián and Valladolid, as well the efforts of independent producers like the brothers José María and Miguel Morales of Wanda Films. In 1988, A Short Film About Love was presented at the San Sebastián Festival, where it won the Special Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize, and caught the attention of Spanish critics. To this day, Kieślowski remains the Polish director best-known to the Spanish – as was made clear in 2016, by the numerous events and screenings marking the 20th anniversary of his death. There can be no doubt that, in the homeland of Buñuel, no other Polish director evokes as much enthusiasm. Considering the Spanish reaction to the maker of the Three Colours, this article focuses on the distribution of Kieślowski’s works in Spain, as well as the director’s presence at the Spanish Festivals. Further subjects of analysis are reviews by Spanish critics and the state of research into Kieslowski’s creative output in the Spanish language, as well as the release of his films on DVD and Blu-Ray. The above focus on festivals, the attitudes of critics, and the popularity among the Spanish viewing public is supplemented by a study of the impact of Kieślowski’s output on the work of Spanish directors, as well as efforts to discern the direct influence of the former’s films in offering the latter inspiration.

W swojej pracy przedstawiam wyniki badania na temat etyki słowa, które przeprowadzam w grupie 78 uczniów gdańskiego liceum. Są to uczniowie jednej klasy pierwszej i dwóch klas drugich, których na co dzień uczę języka polskiego i etyki. Uczniowie opowiadają m.in. o tym, jak rozumieją postulaty Jana Twardowskiego (którego przedstawiłam im jako mojego mistrza posługiwania się słowem), czym jest etyka słowa, czy potrzebna jest społeczna dyskusja na ten temat. Kończę krótkim omówieniem wyników badania, zwracam uwagę na językową wrażliwość młodych ludzi, ciekawy dekalog słów, jaki ułożyli w podsumowaniu badania, a ponadto zauważam zjawisko przyzwolenia na obecność wulgaryzmów w codziennym języku. Wyrażam jednak nadzieję, że język przyszłości będzie przede wszystkim narzędziem służącym budowaniu mostów porozumienia, a nie walce z Innym.
I present the results of the study on the word ethics, which I carry out in a group of 78 students from Gdańsk high school. They are students of one class of the first and two second classes, which I teach Polish and ethics. Students, among other things, talk about how they understand the postulates of Jan Twardowski, whom I presented to them as my master of the use of the word, what is the ethics of words, or whether there is a need for a social discussion on this subject. I finish the brief discussion of the results of the study, pay attention to the linguistic sensitivity of young people, an interesting decalogue of the users of words, which they put together in the study summary, but also notice the phenomenon of permissibility for the presence of profanity in everyday language. I express, however, the hope that the language of the future will be primarily a tool for building bridges of understanding - not a knife of struggle with the Other.

Opis:
The goal of the paper is to indicate the essential risk factors for alpine skiing and ski tourism, both objective and subjective. The reflections on skiing risk relate to the mathematical risk theory, and the epidemiological perspective of accidental skiing analysis. Particular emphasis has been given to resort recreational skiing and off-piste skiing and ski touring. The paper also mentions other forms of skiing and related snow sports, postulating their classification. It looks at the notion of ski rescue in Poland, and the prospects for its development, including the need to associate ski rescuers who do not have their own organisation. The issues of mountain rescue, altitude and medical care were addressed to a lesser extent.
Celem artykułu jest wskazanie zasadniczych czynników ryzyka występującego przy uprawianiu narciarstwa zjazdowego i turystyki narciarskiej zarówno o charakterze obiektywnym, jak i subiektywnym. Rozważania nad ryzykiem w narciarstwie odnoszą się do matematycznej teorii ryzyka oraz epidemiologicznej perspektywy analizy wypadkowości w narciarstwie. Rozpatrywane jest narciarstwo rekreacyjne trasowe, jak również narciarstwo pozatrasowe i turystyka narciarska. W artykule uwzględniono także inne formy narciarstwa oraz spokrewnionych z nim sportów śnieżnych, postulując dokonanie ich klasyfikacji. Podjęto również refleksję nad ratownictwem narciarskim w Polsce i perspektywami jego rozwoju, w tym także potrzebą zrzeszenia ratowników narciarskich pozbawionych własnej organizacji. W mniejszym stopniu poruszono zagadnienia ratownictwa górskiego, wysokościowego i medycznego.

The first commandment of the Decalogue contains a general part (Exod. 20,3; Deut. 5,7), and the detailed part (Exod. 20,4-6; Deut. 5,8-10). The general part expresses the truth, that the object of worship must be transcendent, so it can only be God. The detailed part forbids making pictures of Jahwe, since figurativeness in the worship can lead to negation of absolute transcendence of God against the world. The transcendence of God Jahwe more than monotheism differentiates the religion of the Old Testament from the religion of the Antient East.

Das Problem , was im AT Der Ausdruck „der Nächste” bedeutet, ist schon lange diskutiert, doch ist es nicht völlig erklärt. Die Lösung hängt von der Sinnfeststellung des Ausdrucks rēʽa in dem Liebegebot Lev 19, 18b ab. Die literarisch-kritische Forschung hat es beweist, dass dieses Gebot aus dem Dodekalog des Heiligkeitsgesetzes (Lev 19, 13-18) späteres als Verbote des Dodekalogs ist. Die Ausdruck-rea’ — Forschung ni den aussergesetzlichen Texten hat es festgestellt, das rēʽa einen Mensch, mit welchen man zu tun hat, oder einen Benachbarten, z. B. einen Freund, bezeichnet. Rēʽa bedeutet also jeden Mensch, den die Israelit täglich begegnete. Es erhebt sich doch die Frage, ob auch in den gesetzlichen Texten rēʽa dieselbe Bedeutung hat. Manche Forscher, die die Auswahl Israels und seinen vermeintlichen Hass zu den Heiden betonen, meinen, dass rēʽa nur einen Israelit bedeuten kann. Aber man muss nicht vergessen, dass das israelitisch e Gesetzbuch auch von den Fremden handelte, also der Ausdruck rēʽa, als Bezeichnung des Gesetzobjekts, konnte sich nicht auf Israel beschränken. Viele Verfasser meinen, dass Lev 19, 18b nur eine positive Teil des ganzen Gesetzes Lev 19, 18 ist. Es widerspricht dieser Meinung die Tatsache, dass das Gebotweder genetissch noch literarisch keine einheitliche Ganzheit mit dem Verbot Lev 19, 18a bildet, sondern es ist eine ganz eigenartige literarische Einheit. Es wird auch davon beweist, dass ʼāhab zu nāqam und nātar nicht antithetisch steht; es gibt also hier keinen antithetischen Parallelismus. Das Gebot der Liebe rēʽa ist eine Konklusion des ganzen Dodekalogs Lev 19,  wo man nicht nur von den Israeliten sagt. Man kann nicht beweisen, dass in den aussergesetzlichen Texten rēʽa nur einen Israelit oder Glaubensgenossen bedeutet: es würde auch sehr schwer anzunehmen, dass im Text des Gesetzes rēʽa eine verschiedene Bedeutung haben sollte. Man muss auch das betonen, dass es im Dt 10, 19 ein früheres gebot der Liebe des Fremden (gēr) gibt, also er konnte nicht aus dem Bereich des Nächstenbegriffs Lev 19, 18b ausgeschlossen werden. Mit dem Begriff rēʽa werden alle Menschen mit den die Israeliten zusammen trafen bezeichnet, also auch die Mitbrüder und gēr. Erst die spätere Beschränkung des Sinnes rēʽa hat den damaligen Inhalt des Nächstenliebegesetzes von Lev 19, 18b verungestaltet.

Okres rozprzestrzeniania się po całym świecie choroby wywołanej koronawirusem SARS-CoV-2 stał się także w kręgach kościelnych impulsem do bardzo ożywionej dyskusji na temat postaw i etyki w czasie pandemii. W różnych grupach pobożnościowych protestantyzmu reakcje na pandemię były często krańcowo różne, od teorii spiskowych i denializmu, aż po najdalej posunięte interpretacje wskazujące na apokaliptyczny wymiar pandemii. Jedną z propozycji reakcji teologicznej na to zjawisko była próba sformułowania specjalnych przykazań na czas pandemii. Artykuł wskazuje na aktualność Dekalogu zapisanego na kartach Starego Testamentu i ukazuje szerokie spectrum zagadnień, które zawarte są w teologicznych interpretacjach Dziesięciu Przykazań. The time of the spread of the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus around the World has also sparked a wide, very lively discussion in churches’ circles about ethics during the pandemic. Within the various devotional groups of Protestantism, responses to the pandemic have often been extremely different, from conspiracy theories and denialism to the most extreme interpretations of the apocalyptic dimension of the pandemic. One of the proposals for a theological response to this phenomenon was an attempt to formulate special 10 Commandments for Responsible Pastoral Reactions to the Corona Crisis. The article shows the actuality of the Decalogue written in the Old Testament and shows a wide spectrum of issues that are contained in the theological interpretations of the Ten Commandments. The article presents the content of the CPCE study document Being church together in a pandemic – Reflections from a Protestant Perspective published 2021.

Premarital pastoral care occupies an important place in the ministry of the Church and is relevant in every time period. The purpose of this article is to present the format of premarital pastoral care in Lithuania and its problematics in terms of the perception of the Decalogue. In Lithuania, the preparation for matrimony is regulated by the documents of the Universal Church and the Lithuanian Bishops’ Conference. It is carried out in the format of a programme coordinated by the Family Centre. The programme includes essential elements of Catholic family life and faith, as the Sacrament of Marriage presupposes and requires faith. An integral part of the programme of preparing for marriage is the presentation and analysis of the Decalogue in harmony with family life. An empirical study indicates that the engaged couples question some aspects of the concept of the Decalogue in the areas of Sunday celebration, the value of the truth and respect for parents. These areas generate conflicting assumptions for the engaged and are the most difficult to perceive and accept. This reveals the need for constant renewal of the premarital pastoral care and deepening of its content in search of new relevant forms.
Duszpasterstwo przedmałżeńskie zajmuje ważne miejsce w posłudze Kościoła i jest aktualne w każdym czasie. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie formatu duszpasterstwa przedmałżeńskiego na Litwie oraz jego problematyki w kontekście postrzegania Dekalogu. Na Litwie przygotowanie do zawarcia małżeństwa regulują dokumenty Kościoła powszechnego i Konferencji Episkopatu Litwy. Realizowane jest ono w formie programu koordynowanego przez Centrum Rodziny. Program zawiera istotne elementy katolickiego życia rodzinnego i wiary, co jest związane z wymową sakramentu małżeństwa. Integralną częścią programu przygotowania do małżeństwa jest prezentacja i analiza Dekalogu w harmonii z życiem rodzinnym. Badanie empiryczne wykazuje, że zaręczeni kwestionują niektóre aspekty koncepcji Dekalogu zwłaszcza w obszarach świętowania niedzieli, wartości prawdy i szacunku dla rodziców. Obszary te generują dla zaręczonych sprzeczne założenia i są najtrudniejsze w odbiorze i akceptacji. Ujawnia to potrzebę ciągłej odnowy duszpasterstwa przedmałżeńskiego i pogłębiania jego treści w poszukiwaniu nowych, bardziej adekwatnych jego form.

Artykuł omawia apologię życia według ojca profesora Jacka Salija OP. Podstawowym źródłem są teksty dominikanina zebrane w tomie pt. "Nasze obyczaje", w których porusza on kwestie związane z chrześcijańską moralnością. W przedłożonym artykule zaprezentowane zostały poglądy tego wybitnego polskiego teologa związane z zagadnieniem obrony piątego przykazania „Nie zabijaj”. Na początku ukazano życie jako wartość absolutną, a następnie jego apologię wobec aborcji, eutanazji oraz samobójstwa.
This article discusses the apologia for life according to Father Professor Jacek Salij OP. The basic source are the texts of the Dominican collected in the volume entitled “Nasze obyczaje” (Our customs), in which he discusses issues related to Christianity. “Our customs”, in which he discusses issues related to Christian morality. The submitted article presents the views of this outstanding Polish theologian related to the issue of defending the fifth commandment Thou shalt not kill’. First, life is presented as an absolute value, followed by his apology towards: abortion, euthanasia and suicide.

W artykule Autor dokonuje analizy norm dotyczących nakłaniania penitenta do grzechu przeciw szóstemu przykazaniu Dekalogu (sollicitatio ad turpia). Czyn ten, którego może dopuścić się spowiednik w sakramencie spowiedzi, z jej okazji lub pod jej pretekstem, jest przestępstwem kanonicznym. Jest to działanie zagrożone suspensą, zakazami lub pozbawieniami, a w poważniejszych przypadkach wydaleniem ze stanu duchownego. Jego osądzanie, kiedy nakłanianie ma na celu grzech z samym spowiednikiem, jest również zarezerwowane Dykasterii Nauki Wiary. W opracowaniu dokonano omówienia norm materialnych pod kątem podmiotu kontekstu, materii, typu, formy i celu przestępstwa. Ukazane zostały także konkretne przypadki praktycznej aplikacji przepisów prawa kanonicznego dotyczących deliktu solicytacji.
In the article, the Author analyzes the norms regarding solicitation a penitent to sin against the sixth commandment of the Decalogue (sollicitatio ad turpia). This act, which may be committed by a confessor in confession, or on the occasion or under the pretext of confession, is a canonical crime. This action is punishable according to the gravity of the offence, with suspension, prohibitions and deprivations. In the more serious cases is punishable by dismissed from the clerical state. If it is directed to sinning with the confessor himself, the judgment is also reserved to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The study discusses material norms in terms of the subject, context, matter, type, form and purpose of the crime. The author presented also the specific cases of practical application of the norm regarding the canonical delict of solicitation.

This article considers whether the popular Polish drama-crime television series Ojciec Mateusz [Father Matthew], which is directed by Maciej Dejczer and has been broadcast on TVP1 since 2008, prompts viewers to reflect on Christian moral norms. This research includes the fields of cultural studies and moral theology. From the point of view of moral theology, the theme of Ojciec Mateusz is the battle between good and evil, the basis of which is the tenets of the Decalogue. This study attempts to answer the questions: Is the religiosity hidden in this series, which does not assume the religiosity of the series’ viewers, evoke religious sentiments among those who believe? And, does the series affect the moral formation of those who do not believe?

Jan Paweł II oparł swe nauczanie podczas IV pielgrzymki do Polski w 1991 roku na Dekalogu, „dziesięciu prostych słowach”. W Koszalinie podjął pierwsze przykazanie, które stanowi podstawę interpretacyjną dla pozostałych przykazań. Bóg, który daje Dekalog, jest tym samym Bogiem, który wyzwolił swój lud z Egiptu. Dekalog zatem nie ogranicza ludzkiej wolności, ale pomaga jej dojrzeć i umocnić się. Ten, który przemawia do Mojżesza na Górze Synaj, to Bóg Ojciec, który – jak to zostaje objawione w Nowym Testamencie – rodzi odwiecznie Syna i posyła nam Ducha. Wymiar trynitarny nie tylko nie osłabia wezwania: „Nie będziesz miał bogów cudzych przede Mną”, ale je tłumaczy i wzmania. Dekalog pociąga swoim dobrem, prawdą, ale także pięknem. Pierwsze przykazanie stanowi podstawowe pole konfrontacji ze światem, który w imię fałszywego humanizmu stawia człowieka w miejscu Boga. Ten fałszywy humanizm przejawia się w różnego rodzaju ideologiach. W XX wieku był to nazizm, a przede wszystkim komunizm, nato¬miast dzisiaj są to różne wersje neomarksizmu, które atakują szczególnie biblijną antropologię, ściśle związaną z pierwszym przykazaniem.
During the fourth pilgrimage to Poland in 1991, John Paul II based his teaching on the Decalogue, on the “ten simple words”. In his homily delivered in Koszalin, he referred to the first commandment that provides the foundations to understand all of them. God who presents the Decalogue to His people, is the same God who liberated them from Egypt. Therefore, Decalogue cannot limit human freedom, on the contrary, it helps the people to grow strong. The One who speaks to Moses on the Mount Sinai is God the Father who – as revealed in the New Testament – generates the Son from Eternity and sends us the Spirit. Thus, we could say that the Trinitarian dimension does not weaken the invocation: “You shall have no other gods before me”, but it enlightens and strengthens it. Decalogue allures not only to its goodness and truth, but also to its beauty. The first commandment presents the initial confrontation with the world which, in the name of deceptive humanism, places a human being before God. This false humanism will manifest itself in all sorts of ideologies. In the twentieth century it was Nazism, but above all, it was Communism, while today they are different versions of neo-Marxism that especially attack the biblical anthropology, closely related to the first commandment.

Autor analizuje Pawłowe wypowiedzi na temat homoseksualizmu zawarte w 1 Kor 6,9-10 oraz 1 Tm 1,8-10. Teksty te zostają najpierw umieszczone we właściwym im kontekście argumentacyjnym ze wskazaniem na inspirujące je tradycje starotestamentowe (Rdz 1,27-28; Wj 20,1-17 i Pwt 5,6-21; Kpł 18,22 i 20,13). Następnie w krytyczny sposób zaprezentowane zostają pozycje autorów, zawężających Pawłowe rozumienie homoseksualizmu w 1 Kor 6,9-10 oraz 1 Tm 1,8-10 do pederastii i prostytucji. Argumenty filologiczne oraz kontekstualne przytaczane przez zdecydowaną większość komentatorów wskazują, że użyte przez apostoła pojęcia μαλακός i ἀρσενοκοίτης należy czytać jako szeroką krytykę wszelkiego rodzaju aktów homoseksualnych. W ostatnim paragrafie autor podsumowuje toczącą się współcześnie dyskusję nad homoseksualizmem i jego interpretacją u Pawła, wskazując na nieadekwatną metodologię, język i nową hermeneutykę tkwiące u podstaw prób obalenia Pawłowej krytyki postaw homoseksualnych.
The author analyzes the Pauline statements on homosexuality in 1 Cor 6:9-10 and 1 Tim 1:8-10. The examined texts are first placed in their argumentative context, with a hint at the Old Testament traditions standing behind them (Gen 1: 27-28; Exod 20:1-17; Deut 5:6-21; Lev 18:22 and 20:13). Next, the author critically presents the positions of the scholars who limit Paul’s understanding of homosexuality in 1 Cor 6:9-10 and 1 Tim 1:8-10 to pederasty and prostitution. Philological and contextual arguments of the vast majority of researchers indicate that the terms μαλακός and ἀρσενοκοίτης used by the apostle should be read as a broad critique of all kinds of homosexual acts. In the last paragraph, the author sums up the contemporary discussion on homosexuality and its interpretation in Paul, pointing to inadequate methodology, language and new hermeneutics underlying the attempts to refute the Pauline critique of homosexual acts.
