Opis:
Quantum graphs provide a setting to test the hypothesis that all ray-chaotic systems show universal wave chaotic properties. Here, an experimental setup consisting of a microwave coaxial cable network is used to simulate quantum graphs. The networks which are large compared to the wavelength, are constructed from coaxial cables connected by T junctions. The distributions of impedance statistics are obtained from experiments on an ensemble of tetrahedral networks. The random coupling model (RCM) is applied in an attempt to uncover the universal statistical properties of the system. Deviations from RCM predictions have been observed in that the statistics of diagonal and off-diagonal impedance elements are different. It is argued that because of the small finite-size quantum graphs utilized here there will be non-universal results.

Marine economy is a new economic form, emphasizing new development concept, new operation mechanism and management mode. In recent years, marine economy shows rapid growth, and marine industry presents a clustering development trend. The industrial linkage effect, industrial agglomeration effect and industrial radiation effect of the marine industrial cluster are important motive forces for the development of coastal cities. The marine industrial cluster takes coastal cities as the development platform and space, while the coastal cities achieve rapid and sustainable development based on the marine industrial cluster. The synergetic and coupling development of the marine industrial cluster and coastal cities is an important way for the promotion of industrial competitiveness and urban competitiveness. This paper developed a measure to identify the marine industrial cluster, designed the evaluation index of coupling of marine industrial cluster and coastal cities development from two perspectives of industrial linkage and spatial agglomeration, taking Shandong province, a typical coastal province in China, as an example, it studied the situation of the marine industrial cluster based on input-output data and data of marine enterprises of coastal cities, based on which it explored the coupling relationship between marine industrial cluster and coastal cities of Shandong province.

This article was aimed to analyse the working condition of the coupling mechanism in Chinese shipbuilding industry cluster. Literature review was conducted to unveil the coupling mechanism of shipbuilding industry cluster, providing analysis of the present development of shipbuilding industry. A theoretical model was proposed by using the efficacy function and the capacity of the coupling coefficient while measuring the coupling of the shipbuilding industry cluster. Four coupling characteristics were found including relevant, systemic, diversity, and collaborative in the shipbuilding industry cluster. The shipbuilding industry cluster has two levels of coupling mechanism including the core layer coupling mechanism and the support layer coupling mechanism respectively. The improvement through coupling the core layer, support layer, and the coupling between two levels, is an effective way to achieve long-term stable development in Chinese shipbuilding industry cluster.

Motivated by ideas from two-step models and combining second-order TV regularization in the LLT model, we propose a coupling model for MR image reconstruction. By applying the variables splitting technique, the split Bregman iterative scheme, and the alternating minimization method twice, we can divide the proposed model into several subproblems only related to second-order PDEs so as to avoid solving a fourth-order PDE. The solution of every subproblem is based on generalized shrinkage formulas, the shrink operator or the diagonalization technique of the Fourier transform, and hence can be obtained very easily. By means of the Barzilai–Borwein step size selection scheme, an ADMM type algorithm is proposed to solve the equations underlying the proposed model. The results of numerical implementation demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm.

In the context of China’s new infrastructure construction developing rapidly, this paper explores the sustainable new infrastructure green development pattern. We establish qualitative and quantitative indicators for green technology innovation (GTI) at both the societal macro level and enterprise micro level, capturing the multidimensional nature of China’s green innovation dynamic. Additionally, we create an indicator system for China’s new infrastructure investment intensity (NTI) across three areas: information infrastructure, integration infrastructure, and innovation infra-structure. Using provincial panel data from 2010 to 2020, we construct a coupling coordination degree model (CCDM) to examine the level of coordination between NTI and GTI. Our findings reveal that: the degree of coordination between NTI and GTI follows a U-shaped curve, with both subsystems remaining far from highly coordinated during rapid development; the coupling level of NTI and GTI in China is currently at a near dissonance level overall; the degree of coupling and coordination between NTI and GTI is mainly influenced by policies, and the coupling level is higher on the enterprise side than on the societal side; the two parameters (α-NTI and β-GTI) widely used in prior studies have less of an effect on the coordinated coupling system than other factors considered herein.

An experimental identification of joint dynamic properties requires accurate models of the joined bodies and an appropriate model coupling method. The bodies to be coupled can be described by their mass, stiffness and damping matrices (M, K, C) or by receptance matrices. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages. The receptance matrix method requires a high number of measurements. However the measured data can be used directly and no model identification is needed. The experimental identification of the M, K, C matrices feasible for creating precise coupled models is difficult. Therefore, an approach based on a verified FE model can be employed. The two methods of model identification and coupling are discussed using a case study of two bolted beams. Several ways of the receptance matrices measurement simplification and their influence on the accuracy of the results are studied. The effect of noise, measured FRF peak accuracy and data filtering on the resulting coupled receptance matrix is studied as well. The results obtained by the receptance matrix method are compared to the results obtained by the method of coupling the verified FE models. It has been found that the method based on coupling the verified M, K, C matrices proves to be a more reliable approach, which will allow a more precise joint dynamic model identification in the next step.

Effective machine tool design needs to take into account various kinematic configurations and possible combinations of structural parts, which meet the requirements of both the structural properties on one hand and technology and cost limitation on the other hand. Prior to a detailed developing a certain machine tool structure, an expert based decision on the machine tool conception needs to be performed. A high number of design variants should be explored in a short time. Fulfilling those demands leads to developing a machine tool modular models, enabling easy changing the kinematic configuration or various structural parts. In the paper the techniques for effective component coupling and model order reduction using mode truncation or Krylov subspace based technique for creating the machine tool coupled models are introduced. Case studies considering real machine tool structures are given. High quality of Krylov subspace reduction technique in connection with multipoint constraint surface coupling is shown both in terms of dynamic properties of the reduced multibody model and a very low time demands at the same time.

The computational fluid dynamics coupled with the discrete element method is widely employed to simulate particle-fluid interactions in solid-liquid flows. The restrictions imposed by the CFD-DEM scheme to very fine meshes contribute to a scant amount of numerical results of particle settling in viscoplastic fluids. This paper presents the two-way coupling CFD-DEM simulation of the particle sedimentation in a quiescent Bingham fluid. The results for terminal particle velocity showed good agreement with the experimental data. Owing to the viscoplastic behavior of the fluid, low values of the relaxation parameter of the solid-phase must be specified to obtain accurate results.

Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices like delay lines, filters, resonators etc., are nowadays extensively used as principal solid state components in many electronic applications and chemical vapour sensors. To bring out the best from these SAW devices, computational design and modelling are resorted too. The present paper proposes the modelling of 400 MHz ST-X Quartz based SAW delay line, by three models namely, Impulse Response Model (IRM), Crossed-field Equivalent Circuit Model (ECM) and Coupling-of-Modes (COM) model. MATLAB® is employed as a computational tool to model the experimental output of the SAW device. A comparative discussion of the modelled device results is also provided.

Virtual testing and hybrid simulation have become an important trend in airplane design and validation. The traditional Testing Pyramid (or Building Block) approaches that emphasis on uniaxial coupon test and full structure certification test are being challenged. Researchers are trying to use advanced testing and simulation methods to replace the Testing Pyramid approach. Before physical testing, virtual testing can be conducted to simulate the physical test. Virtual model of the full testing system including controller, actuators, and fixtures can be constructed and validated. In this work, an example has been developed and validated to show the potentials of the virtual testing process. Hybrid simulation is an approach of analyzing an analysis model and physical structure integrated system under realistic loading conditions. Hybrid simulation combines the lab testing with numerical analysis to explore the benefits of both methodologies. In this study, a hybrid simulation for a simplified airplane wing was conducted to demonstrate the process. Virtual testing and hybrid simulation are alternative methods of Testing Pyramid approach. Full scale tests are still required for certification but the more that is known about the test article, the greater chances of success in the full-scale certification testing.

W artykule zaprezentowano model matematyczny pozwalający wyznaczyć temperaturę radiatora, na którym może być zainstalowana dowolna ilość sprzężonych ze sobą termicznie źródeł ciepła. Na podstawie modelu symulacyjnie wyznaczono temperaturę płyty aluminiowej, na której zainstalowano źródła światła LED, będące źródłami ciepła. Symulację przeprowadzono dla kilku przypadków, w których zmieniana była ilość, moc oraz odległość pomiędzy źródłami LED. Oszacowany w ten sposób rozkład temperatury radiatora może być wykorzystany do obliczenia temperatury złącza, która wpływa na podstawowe parametry źródeł LED.
The article presents the mathematical model allowing to determine the temperature of the radiator, on which there can be installed any number of heat sources coupled with each other. Based on the model, the temperature of the aluminium plate with installed LED light sources (being the sources of heat) was determined by simulation. The simulation was performed for several cases, in which the amount, power and the distance between LED sources was different. Thus estimated distribution of the radiator can be used to calculate the temperature of the junction, chich influences the basic parameters of LED sources.

Efektywność współpracy piezoelektrycznego aktuatora z układem głównym zależy między innymi od jakości połączenia. Dlatego też degradacja warstwy łączącej jest ważnym aspektem badawczym. W niniejszej pracy przedmiotem badań jest belka swobodnie podparta z przyklejonym na jej powierzchni piezoelektrycznym aktuatorem, którego działanie wywołuje zginanie belki. Uszkodzenie zamodelowano jako zmianę sztywności ścinania warstwy kleju w ustalonym, zdegradowanym obszarze wzdłuż brzegu aktuatora. W celu weryfikacji modeli MES (opracowanych w dwóch programach ABAQUS i ANSYS) porównano wyniki symulacji z wynikami uzyskanymi metodą analityczną. Skupiono się na porównaniu rozkładów naprężeń stycznych w warstwie kleju w części uszkodzonej i nieuszkodzonej, ugięć belki oraz charakterystyk amplitudowo-częstotliwościowych w przypadku różnych sztywności warstwy. Uzyskana dostateczna zgodność wyników uzasadnia poprawność zastosowanych modeli MES.
Efficiency of a piezoelectric actuator-beam interaction depends on the coupling quality. That is why glue layer degradation is one of the important research problems. Consideration of a simply supported beam with a surface mounted piezoelectric patch, which operates in bending mode, has been presented in this article. The glue degradation has been modeled as a modification of shear stiffness within the assumed area along the actuator edge. Verification of the FEM models (built using two programs ANSYS and ABAQUS) was performed comparing results with those obtained applying the analytical method. The comparison is focused on the results such as shear stresses distributions within the damaged and undamaged glue layer, beam deflections and amplitude-frequency characteristics calculated for different shear stiffness values. The results are in quite good agreement and prove correctness of the applied FEM models.

The analysis of subsonic stall flutter in turbomachinery blade cascade is carried out using a medium-fidelity reduced-order aeroelastic numerical model. The model is a type of field mesh-free approach and based on a hybrid boundary element method. The medium-fidelity flow solver is developed on the principle of viscous-inviscid two-way weak-coupling approach. The hybrid flow solver is employed to model separated flow and stall flutter in the 3D blade cascade at subsonic speed. The aerodynamic damping coefficient w.r.t. inter blade phase angle in traveling-wave mode is estimated along with other parameters. The same stability parameter is used to analyze the cascade flutter resistance regime. The estimated results are validated against experimental measurements as well as Navier-Stokes based high fidelity CFD model. The simulated results show good agreement with experimental data. Furthermore, the hybrid flow solver has managed to bring down the computational cost significantly as compared to mesh-based CFD models. Therefore, all the prime objectives of the research have been successfully achieved.

On our department we deal with the research and development of pneumatic flexible shaft couplings. The aim of this paper is to present the way to determine the static load characteristics of pneumatic coupling. By this method, the pneumatic flexible shaft coupling is described by a mathematical and physical model which parameters are determined from the results of static load characteristics measurement.
W naszej pracowni zajmujemy się badaniami i rozwojem pneumatycznych sprzęgieł elestycznych łączących wały. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie nowego sposobu określania właściwości statycznych pneumatycznych sprzęgieł elestycznych łączących wały. W podanym sposobie pneumatyczne sprzęgło elastyczne łączące wały jest opisane przez model matematyczno-fizyczny, którego parametry są wyznaczone na podstawie wyników pomiarów eksperymentalnych jego statycznych charakterystyk obciążenia.
