Opis:
In this paper, we deal with a coordination game in a network where a player can choose both an action of the game and partners for playing the game. In particular, a player interacts with players connecting through a path consisting of multiple links as well as with players directly connecting by a single link. We represent decay or friction of payoffs with distance as communication costs, and examine the effect of the communication cost on behavior of players in the game and network formation. We investigate properties of equilibrium networks by classifying the link cost and the communication cost, and show diversity of the equilibrium networks.

Opis:
The aim of this pilot study is to investigate relationships between various risk-attitude measures and players’ behavior in the first-round of a repeated stag hunt game. This research report presents preliminary findings that the first-round behavior cannot be explained by any of the commonly used risk-elicitation instruments and describes relationships between those instruments.

Opis:
Among factors that positively underlie physical education process, provide stimuli during exercise sessions, increase interest, effectiveness and esthetic character are various nontraditional games as well as nontraditional exercise equipment. Nontraditional sports games have effect on physical fitness and motor performance, promote health, social and moral development of children. We aimed to provide further evidence on nontraditional sports games, their rules, basic methods, forms and means used in teaching school physical education to prepubertal children. These means were used to develop coordination abilities of general population. The statistical significance of changes was determined using paired samples t-test for the following abilities: rhythmical abilities, reaction abilities, balance abilities, kinesthetic-differentiation ability (spatial, strength), frequency ability, coupling ability and reorganization ability. The use of nontraditional movement games was found to have effect on behavior change of children with ADHD. To determine changes in behavior, Vanderbilt rating scale was used. Statistically significant improvements determined by Wilcoxon test was found for the following subscales: following instructions/rules, assignment completion and organizational skills.

Opis:
Background. In recent years the breakthrough in the video game market has occurred due to the new motion-sensing devices, which require a wide range of limb movements or even the whole body movement. Because of these technical solutions the video games have become a peculiar form of physical activity. Material and methods. The aim of this work was to compare the results of a standard computer test which measures reaction time and a physical test which measures the ability of grasping the Dietrich’s baton with the results obtained in “Super goalkeeper” – the motion-controlled video game for Xbox 360 Kinect. Thirty children attending Primary and Kindergarten schools No. 1 in Piekary Śląskie, Poland, aged 11–13 (the 5th and the 6th grade) took part in the experiment. Results and conclusions. In each trial, boys got higher results than girls. The results obtained in the motion-controlled video game “Super goalkeeper” correlated more strongly with the results of Dietrich’s test than the results of the standard reaction time computer test. The study showed also that the motion-controlled game may be an alternative to the existing tests which measure reaction time.
