Opis:
The smart grid concept is predicated upon the pervasive With the construction and development of distribution automation, distributed power supply needs to be comprehensively considered in reactive power optimization as a supplement to reactive power. The traditional reactive power optimization of a distribution network cannot meet the requirements of an active distribution network (ADN), so the Improved Grey Wolf Optimizer (IGWO) is proposed to solve the reactive power optimization problem of the ADN, which can improve the convergence speed of the conventional GWO by changing the level of exploration and development. In addition, a weighted distance strategy is employed in the proposed IGWO to overcome the shortcomings of the conventional GWO. Aiming at the problem that reactive power optimization of an ADN is non-linear and non-convex optimization, a convex model of reactive power optimization of the ADN is proposed, and tested on IEEE33 nodes and IEEE69 nodes, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed model. Finally, the experimental results verify that the proposed IGWO runs faster and converges more accurately than the GWO.

Opis:
The objective of the study was to determine whether differences exist between the selected characteristics of Norway spruce cones and seeds depending on their location in the crown. The study was performed in two spruce tree stands growing under mountainous conditions (the Beskidy Mountains, southern Poland). In winter 2015, the cones were collected from 60 standing trees located in the two selected seed stands – Ujsoły and Rycerka. From each tree, the cones were collected from three crown zones: top, central and bottom differing in terms of light conditions. Two characteristics of the cones and six characteristics of the seeds were analysed. To determine quantitative and qualitative traits of seeds standard methods for seed testing were applied. Significant differences between the populations were determined for cone weight and fraction of full seeds, weight of 1000 seeds and germination capacity. The crown zones differed significantly in terms of fraction of cones in the parts of the crown and mass of one cone as well as weight of 1000 seeds, germination energy and germination capacity. Moreover, a significant intra−population variation was observed for a majority of the analysed characteristics (fraction of full seeds, weight of one cone, weight of 1000 seeds, germination energy, and germination capacity). However, no statistically significant interaction between population and crown zone was observed. A significantly lower contribution of cones in the bottom zone of the crown may affect the economic viability of the commercial harvest. On the other hand some of the important seeds traits (e.g. weight of 1000 seeds, germination energy and germination capacity) were significantly better in the bottom and central part of the crown than in the top zone. There are no justified circumstances (both qualitative and quantitative) to perform the cone harvest only from the top zone of the crown.

Opis:
The height of the oil lubrication gap is the primary quantity that determines in simulations the operating parameters of a hydrodynamic slide bearing. It is influenced by multiple effects, such as vibrations during operation, varying load, misalignment between the shaft axis and the axis of the bearing sleeve, the roughness of the journal and sleeve surfaces, change in the viscosity value of lubricating oil caused by changes in temperature, pressure, shear rate or by oil ageing, wear of journal and sleeve surfaces etc. It is important to take into account such effects considering hydrodynamic lubrication simulations and design of the slide bearings. The one of the factors influencing the height of the oil lubrication gap of the conical slide bearing is the difference between the opening angle of the cone of bearing shaft and opening angle of the cone of bearing sleeve. The aim of this work is to investigate the impact of the difference between the values of these angles on the hydrodynamic lubrication of the conical slide bearing. The commercial CFD software Ansys Fluent, from the Ansys Workbench 2 platform, was used to determine the hydrodynamic pressure distributions, load carrying capacities and friction torques of the simulated bearings. It was assumed, that the bearings operate in a steady state conditions, the flow in the bearing lubrication gap is laminar and non-isothermal, there is no misalignment between the axis of bearing journal and axis of bearing sleeve, the surfaces of the journal and sleeve are smooth and lubricating oil acts as a liquid described by the Ostwald-de Waele power law model.
