Der Artikel behandelt die Genre-Merkmale von humoristischen Fake-Nachrichten, Moglichkeiten zur Erzeugung komischen Effekts sowie intertextuelle Verbindungen, die auf die parodistische Art solcher Texte hinweisen, worin die fantastischen und realen, extremen und alltaglichen, klischeehaften und spezifischen Modelle der Interpretation von Ereignissen kombiniert sind. Einen besonderen Stellenwert erhalt der soziale Effekt dieser Texte, wobei die sprachlichen und extralinguistischen Marker von unzuverlassigen Informationen analysiert werden. Das Material fur diese Studie bilden 200 ukrainische und 200 deutsche Texte, die auf speziellen Websites mit humoristischen Fake-Nachrichten veroffentlicht sind: www. uareview.com und www.der-postillon.com.
The article deals with the genre characteristics of humorous fake news, ways of creating a comic effect, and intertextual connections that indicate the parodic nature of such texts, which combine the fantastic and real, extreme and everyday, cliched and specific models of interpretation of events. Social effect of these texts takes on particular significance, whereby the linguistic and extra-linguistic markers of unreliable information were analysed. The material for this study present 200 Ukrainian and 200 German texts, published on the websites dealing with humorous fake news: www. uareview.com and www.der-postillon.com.

This article is an attempt at investigating new meanings and significance of computer-based entertainment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors explore how and to what extent students in Poland have been using electronics for entertainment during the global crisis, what emotions appeared and whether they were able and willing to engage in an auto-reflexive process. The article presents the results of the questionnaire interview designed for the purposes of this particular study. The authors chose to reveal the multi-facetedness of the theme in question, i.e. focus on the possibilities and the future that computer-based etertainment offers, leading to transformations both externally and internally.

This study investigates the effect of a vlogging project on Malaysian ESL students’ speaking performance in a secondary school. Additionally, the students’ experience and perception of making and using vlogs in their language learning were also investigated. To this end, a mixed-methods approach was adopted and the data was collected from 73 participants. A quasi-experiment was conducted to determine the effect of the vlogging project while a questionnaire and a retrospective self-report were utilised to obtain the participants’ views pertaining to their experience in creating vlogs. The findings indicate statistically significant improvement in the ESL students’ speaking scores. Additionally, the participants viewed the vlogging project positively and perceived it as a student-friendly learning tool which can also promote self-evaluation and function as a source of motivation. Drawing on the findings, ESL teachers should consider the pedagogical benefits of vlogs and incorporate them as an instructional technique in the language classrooms. This study indicates that the use of vlogs warrants further research in order to inform the feasibility and pedagogical impact of using vlogs to enhance students’ speaking skills.

In a society increasingly mediated by technology, the medium has created unparalleled opportunities. As a result, it has refocused educators’ attention on how technological literacy is both an essential learning outcome in all higher education programs, and the intermediary, the means to achieve the digital competences expected from employees. In the field of English for Specific Purposes, and at a time when technology is perceived to enable quick and effective access to a vast number of sources of information and knowledge, teaching a language confronts teachers and students with divergent views that converge into what we perceive to be interconnected paths. We critically reflect upon these interconnected paths in order to obtain further insights on how technology, namely Machine Translation and Computer-Aided Translation, is perceived by business communicators who are learning English in an ESP environment. Within the premises that translation is an act of intercultural communication, our case study addresses mirrored perceptions of the English language, the act of translation, and the use of technological tools. Our study draws on both perspectives and discusses how mirrored images of students and teachers converge through project-based approaches, rooted in practical, short visual tasks with a clear and immediately visible purpose.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane wyniki prac analitycznych realizowanych w Instytucie Technicznym Wojsk Lotniczych (ITWL) w zakresie możliwości komputerowego systemu ewidencji danych, zbudowanego w Zakładzie Awioniki ITWL, wykorzystywanego m.in. do zarządzania niezawodnością i gotowością operacyjną zintegrowanego systemu łączności ZSŁ. Wykazano, że dane zgromadzone w bazie mogą być wykorzystane do wyznaczania i oceny parametrów eksploatacyjnych, w tym oceny niezawodności i gotowości operacyjnej, co jest jednym z niezbędnych elementów pozwalających na efektywną eksploatację systemu ZSŁ, który zabudowany jest na śmigłowcach wojskowych w Siłach Zbrojnych RP.
Paper presents the possibilities of computer-based data recording system, constructed and maintained in the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Division for Avionics, used among others to manage the operational readiness of the integrated communication system ZSŁ. It was shown that the data collected in the database can be used to determine and evaluate operational parameters, including reliability and operational readiness, which is one of the necessary element when it comes to an effective operation of the ZSŁ system, built on board Polish Armed Forces helicopters

The paper is an attempt to cover some of the issues of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in foreign languages teaching and learning (FLT/FLL) on the basis of intercultural approach. The facilities of Internet along with computer programs, audio and video devices, interactive whiteboards and telecommunications are considered. Special attention is given to the peculiarities of telecommunication projects; the example of telecommunication project realization is represented. The advantages and disadvantages of distance language learning are considered. Besides, some diffi culties that students and teachers come across during ICT-supported language education are also discussed. Croatian national health ICT implementation strategy is determined by Croatian national health strategy and plan, Croatian ICT development strategy for 21st century, and requirements specifications for the health information system. National health ICT implementation strategy components are accented: purpose of the ICT implementation strategy, information principles, needs and ICT enablement in domains of patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers and managers and public. Telemedicine and telecare positions and implementation steps are described. Based on the determinants, three organizational levels have been established - government, ministerial and project levels. General architecture of Croatian healthcare information system and respective pilot projects and results of pilot implementations as well as national ICT environmental accelerators for health ICT implementations are presented.
