Opis:
Let ₃ denote the variety of alternative commutative (Jordan) algebras defined by the identity x³ = 0, and let ₂ be the subvariety of the variety ₃ of solvable algebras of solviability index 2. We present an infinite independent system of identities in the variety ₃ ∩ ₂₂. Therefore we infer that ₃ ∩ ₂₂ contains a continuum of infinite based subvarieties and that there exist algebras with an unsolvable words problem in ₃ ∩ ₂₂.
It is worth mentioning that these results were announced in 1999 in works of the international conference "Loops’99" (Prague).

Opis:
Step nesting designs may be very useful since they require fewer observations than the usual balanced nesting models. The number of treatments in balanced nesting design is the product of the number of levels in each factor. This number may be too large. As an alternative, in step nesting designs the number of treatments is the sum of the factor levels. Thus these models lead to a great economy and it is easy to carry out inference. To study the algebraic structure of step nesting designs we introduce the cartesian product of commutative Jordan algebras.

Opis:
The most elegant definition of singularities in general relativity as b-boundary points, when applied to the closed Friedman world model, leads to the disastrous situation: both the initial and final singularities form the single point of the b-boundary which is not Hausdorff separated from the rest of space-time. We apply Alain Connes' method of non-commutative geometry, defined in terms of a C*-algebra, to this case. It turns out that both the initial and final singularities can be analysed as representations of the C*-algebra in a Hilbert space. The method does not distinguish points in space-time, but identifies space slices of the closed Friedman model as states of the corresponding C*-algebra.

Opis:
Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) attempts to find cryptographic protocols resistant to attacks by means of for instance Shor's polynomial time algorithm for numerical field problems like integer factorization (IFP) or the discrete logarithm (DLP). Other aspects are the backdoors discovered in deterministic random generators or recent advances in solving some instances of DLP. The use of alternative algebraic structures like non-commutative or non-associative partial groupoids, magmas, monoids, semigroups, quasigroups or groups, are valid choices for these new kinds of protocols. In this paper, we focus in an asymmetric cipher based on a generalized ElGamal non-arbitrated protocol using a non-commutative general linear group. The developed protocol forces a hard subgroup membership search problem into a non-commutative structure. The protocol involves at first a generalized Diffie-Hellman key interchange and further on the private and public parameters are recursively updated each time a new cipher session is launched. Security is based on a hard variation of the Generalized Symmetric Decomposition Problem (GSDP). Working with GF(2518) a 64-bits security is achieved, and if GF(25116) is chosen, the security rises to 127-bits. An appealing feature is that there is no need for big number libraries as all arithmetic if performed in Z251 and therefore the new protocol is particularly useful for computational platforms with very limited capabilities like smartphones or smartcards.

Generalized hypersubstitutions are mappings from the set of all fundamental operations into the set of all terms of the same language do not necessarily preserve the arities. Strong hyperidentities are identities which are closed under the generalized hypersubstitutions and a strongly solid variety is a variety which every its identity is a strong hyperidentity. In this paper we give an example of pre-strongly solid varieties of commutative semigroups and determine the least and the greatest pre-strongly solid variety of commutative semigroups.
