This paper presents a continuation of the projects [5, 6] dealing with the novel concepts of evacuating people from large passenger ships. A novel integrated drive and control system for chain lift with lifeboats fastened on it as well as for stern port- ramp, is presented. Additional novel elements is the application of the stern port - ramp fitted with a buoyancy element, and its increased capability of automatic adjusting its operational deflection in the case of a large forward trim of ship. It increases safety and comfort of evacuation in the difficult conditions, but to obtain it a more complex drive and control system has been required to be designed.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono założenia projektowe oraz realizację otwartej architektury sterowania dla równoległego manipulatora Hexa, w oparciu o 32-bitowe mikrokontrolery z rdzeniem ARM7 TDMI. W projekcie sterownika o niewielkich gabarytach, niskim koszcie i wydajności zbliżonej do rozwiązań komercyjnych wzięto pod uwagę wydajność obliczeniową zastosowanych procesorów. Dla uzyskania lepszych osiągów proces sterowania został podzielony na kilka zadań realizowanych przez cztery procesory. Prezentowane wyniki prac mogą posłużyć jako interesujące wskazówki dla projektantów zarówno prostych jak i złożonych systemów sterowania w mechatronice.
In this paper was presented assumptions and implementation of Hexa parallel robot control architecture based on 32-bit microcontrollers with ARM7 TDMI core. In developing low-cost controller of small size, and performances similar to commercial solutions the processors capacity was took into account. For better performance process of control was divided into few tasks which were computed on four processors (Fig. 2). Furthermore there was presented implementation of angular position digital controller (Fig. 5) with respect to the noise influence for control quality. The most difficult problem was to find solution of inverse kinematics with respect to the limited processors capacity. Although the direct kinematics in closed-loop architecture is often complex, the inverse kinematics is very simple. In first step the transform matrices which describe transformation from coordinate systems combined with platform to coordinate systems combined with active joints were found. Last step demonstrates how to find angles in every active joint using geometrical method (Fig. 8). Presented results may be used as helpful hints in developing simple or more complex control systems in mechatronics.

The paper introduces a stochastic model for a class of population-based global optimization meta-heuristics, that generalizes existing models in the following ways. First of all, an individual becomes an active software agent characterized by the constant genotype and the meme that may change during the optimization process. Second, the model embraces the asynchronous processing of agent’s actions. Third, we consider a vast variety of possible actions that include the conventional mixing operations (e.g. mutation, cloning, crossover) as well as migrations among demes and local optimization methods. Despite the fact that the model fits many popular algorithms and strategies (e.g. genetic algorithms with tournament selection) it is mainly devoted to study memetic algorithms. The model is composed of two parts: EMAS architecture (data structures and management strategies) allowing to define the space of states and the framework for stochastic agent actions and the stationary Markov chain described in terms of this architecture. The probability transition function has been obtained and the Markov kernels for sample actions have been computed. The obtained theoretical results are helpful for studying metaheuristics conforming to the EMAS architecture. The designed synchronization allows the safe, coarse-grained parallel implementation and its effective, sub-optimal scheduling in a distributed computer environment. The proved strong ergodicity of the finite state Markov chain results in the asymptotic stochastic guarantee of success, which in turn imposes the liveness of a studied metaheuristic. The Markov chain delivers the sampling measure at an arbitrary step of computations, which allows further asymptotic studies, e.g. on various kinds of the stochastic convergence.

Causative chain (CC) is a failure chain that cause accident as an outcome product of the second step of MOP model, namely line relation analysis (LRA). This CC is a connection of several causative factors (CF), an outcome product of first step of MOP model, namely corner analysis (CA). MOP Model is an abbreviation from 4M Overturned Pyramid, created by authors by combining 2 accident analysis models. There are two steps in this model, namely CA and LRA. Utilizing this model can know what is CF that happen dominantly to the accidents and what is a danger CC that characterize accidents in a certain place and certain period. By knowing the characteristics, the preventive action can be decided to decrease the number of accident in the next period. The aim of this paper is providing the development of MOP Model that has been upgraded and understanding the characteristics of each type accident. The data that is analyzed in this paper is Japanese accidents from 2008 until 2013, which is available on Japan Transportation Safety Board (JTSB)’s website. The analysis shows that every type of accidents has a unique characteristic, shown by their CFs and CCs. However, Man Factor is still playing role to the system dominantly.

Opis:
Two approaches to modeling microsatellite DNA repeats are considered. The former is an infinite dimensional system based on the theory of branching random walks which dynamic properties are characterized using Laplace transforms and Laplace asymptotic techniques. The latter is an n-dimensional approximation where microsatellite DNA repeats model is the example of a chain system. Both models were the subject of many numerical calculations using the MATLAB software. The results allow us to evaluate the asymptotic behavior and determine the effect of the system parameters on the run of the solution and the state variables.

The purpose of article is to elaborate a consensus determination algorithm in supply chain management support systems, which may lead to achieving a greater flexibility and effectiveness of such systems. Using consensus methods in resolving the conflict of knowledge, in other words, determining a variant to be then presented to the user, based on the variants proposed by the system, may lead to shortening the variant determination time and to reducing the risk of selecting the worst variant. As a consequence, supply chain management might become more dynamic, which obviously influences the effectiveness of the operation of particular organizations and the entire supply chain. The originality is using consensus method to resolve knowledge conflicts in SCM systems to help decision-maker to take decision earning satisfy benefits.

This paper is devoted to computational problems related to Markov chains (MC) on a finite state space. We present formulas and bounds for characteristics of MCs using directed forest expansions given by the Matrix Tree Theorem. These results are applied to analysis of direct methods for solving systems of linear equations, aggregation algorithms for nearly completely decomposable MCs and the Markov chain Monte Carlo procedures.

The paper considers a problem of optimal control of a linear system with the parameters dependent on the states of a Markov chain. The cost criterion is quadratic in the controls and states of the system. The criterion parameters also depend on the states of the Markov chain. Two models of observation of the Markov chain are adopted - delay for one step and no delay. It is shown that under appopriate mean square detectability and stabilizability conditions the infinite horizon optimal control problem for the general case of Markovian jump linear quadratic systems has a unigue mean square stabilizing solution. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given to determine if a system is mean square stabilizable.

Consensus methods allow to resolve the knowledge conflicts, among other things, in supply chain management systems. The purpose of the article is to elaborate the distance function between the variants generated by the system SCM. This is one of the stages of the consensus determining process. The first part of the article presents a characteristic of knowledge conflicts, consensus methods and a definition of the structure of the variant. Next, the formal definition of distance function was elaborated. This definition is necessary in order to elaborate the algorithms of consensus determining.

We deal with the investigation of L2-stability of the trivial solution to the system of difference equations with coefficients depending on a semi-Markov chain. In our considerations, random transformations of solutions are assumed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for L2-stability of the trivial solution to such systems are obtained. A method is proposed for constructing Lyapunov functions and the conditions for its existence are justified. The dynamic system and methods discussed in the paper are very well suited for use as models for protecting information in cyberspace.

The portfolio of the automotive market appears more and more low-emission and zero-emission propulsions in vehicles. This is the result of measures taken to limit or even eliminate the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere generated by vehicles. The article covers issues related to energy conversion in automotive drive systems currently offered by automotive manufacturers. Standard, hybrid, hybrid plug-in, electric and fuel cells drive system were analyzed. Attention was drawn to the chain of energy transformations related to each of the analyzed drive systems. The efficiency of the presented vehicle drive systems was analyzed. General conclusions were formulated regarding the method of analyzing energy changes related to the operation of automotive propulsion systems. The article reviewed selected author's own works on hybrid and hydrogen propulsion.

The aim of the article is to present the expectations of industrial enterprises towards suppliers related to quality, environment, occupational health and safety management systems (QEOH &SMS). The article presents the results of empirical research conducted in 151 companies operating on the Polish B2B market. The study was commissioned to a specialised research agency that conducted a targeted selection of companies registered in the Bisnode database, which is a business directory search platform. The expectations of production companies towards their suppliers regarding the implementation of QEOH&SMS were assigned a rank on a scale from one (the least important criterion) to five (the most significant). The methodological apparatus in this study was set so that it was possible to fulfil the research goal based on empirical data. A questionnaire was used to verify the characteristics of the operational process after the implementation of particular managerial systems. This article examines the relationship between the requirements for suppliers and the implementation of management systems by manufacturing companies. The results of the conducted research indicate that expectations of industrial enterprises towards suppliers related to QEOH&SMS are strongly focused on their development. Research shows that companies that adhere to the requirements of standardised management systems have a greater requirement for suppliers than companies that do not implement QEOH & SM requirements. In particular, the implementation of quality and environmental management systems by the surveyed organisations translates into increased requirements for suppliers. The article contributes to the existing scientific literature by analysing the impact of the implementation of individual management systems on the expectations towards suppliers. This study shows which of the 18 examined aspects are particularly important for manufacturing companies. Additionally, the expectations towards suppliers were classified into four groups (Corrective, Preventive, Improvement, Innovation).
