“Is logic a physical variable?” This thought-provoking question was put forward by Michael Heller during the public lecture “Category Theory and Mathematical Structures of the Universe” delivered on 30th March 2017 at the National Quantum Information Center in Sopot. It touches upon the intimate relationship between the foundations of physics, mathematics and philosophy. To address this question one needs a conceptual framework, which is on the one hand rigorous and, on the other hand capacious enough to grasp the diversity of modern theoretical physics. Category theory is here a natural choice. It is not only an independent, well-developed and very advanced mathematical theory, but also a holistic, process-oriented way of thinking.

Opis:
The main goal of the paper is description of strategies created by men, when they build their own image. The Author states that main component of self-creation is men’s profession, especially cultural meaning linked with given activities realized within men’s professional actions. Raising that issue leads the Author into two problems. On the one hand, the paper shows idea of interpretational efficiency – in case of using “hard (quantitive) data” as a source of qualitative interpretation. On the second hand, it shows the way of using by men descriptions of professions and cultural meaning as a tool of men’s self-creation strategies. The Author suggests that men tend to create such self-creation (self-image), which is stable grounded at social respect, moreover it will be an answer to expectations of modern women.

Few interpretations of the work of Ladislav Klíma, by both Polish and Czech researchers, most often emphasize the philosophical aspect of his writing. They point to the connections of his work with the philosophy of Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Berkeley. The article suggests taking a different lead related to connections with the Gothic Convention and the aesthetics of shock and disgust inscribed in it. The author used this convention, among others, to formulate his philosophy of Will. The article focuses on the mini-novel The Suffering of Prince Sternenhoch. The process of interpretation was facilitated by the use of findings of Jindřich Chalupecký, whereas the theories of Julia Kristeva proved useful in the methodological aspect.

Opis:
Linear logic is one of the logical systems with special properties suitable for describing real processes used in computer science. It enables one to specify dynamics, non determinism, consecutive processes and important resources as memory and time on syntactic level. Moreover, its deduction system enables one to verify specified properties. Constructing an appropriate model based on categories can serve for modeling various program systems in the wide spectrum of computer science. Mainly, propositional linear logic is used for these purposes. The expression power of linear logic significantly grows by extending propositional logic with predicates and quantifiers. Our paper concerns itself with defining predicate linear logic together with its deduction system and our main aim is to construct a categorical model of predicate linear logic as a symmetric monoidal closed category.

Opis:
The unusual applicability of mathematics to the description of the physical reality still remains a major investigative task for philosophers, physicists, mathematicians and cognitive scientists. The presented article offers a critical analysis of the philosophical motivations and development of a major attempt to resolve this task put forward by two prominent Polish philosophers: Józef Życiński and Michał Heller. In order to explain this particular property of mathematics Życiński has first introduced the concept of the field of rationality together with the field of potentiality to be followed by Heller’s formal field and the field of categories. It turns out that these concepts are fully intelligible once located within philosophical stances on the relations between mathematics and physical reality. It will be argued that in order to achieve more extended conceptual clarification of the precise meaning of the field of rationality, further advancements in the understanding of the nature of the human mind are required.

Having considered some general aspectological and aspect-methodological problems, the author proceeds to the discussion of certain selected questions concerning Korean aspectology, in particular, an interaction between aspect and momentarity/ progressivity as well as aspective-lingual reasoning. The position of the category of aspect within grammar is revisited of and the problem of formulation of aspectological theories is addressed. The proposed theoretical apprehension of the relation of Korean aspect to momentarity/progressivity and the aspective-lingual deduction are treated rather briefly.
몇 가지 일반적인 상적 그리고 상적-방법론적 문제들을 검토한 후, 한국어의 상에 관해 특정적으로 선택된 문제들에 대해 논하였다. 특히 상과 일시성/지속성 또한 상과 상적-언어 추론 간의 상호작용에 대해 논하였다. 상에 대한 이론의 공식화의 어려움이 언급되었고, 문법 내에서 상의 범주의 정황을 상기시켰다. 이 논문에서는 한국어의 상과 일시성/지속성 또한 상적-언어 추론 간의 관계에 대한 이론적 이해를 개략적으로 제시하였다.

The EU financial resources are an important source of restoration and preservation of cultural heritage objects and their adaptation to the fulfilment of tasks resulting in the rise of new socio-economic functions. The purpose of the paper is to identify the ways of the spending of EU aid funds thematically related to cultural goods with reference to the area of the beneficiary’s origin in the years 2007-2015. The study was based on the SIMIK database of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of the Republic of Poland. The analysis of the total value and of the level of the EU co-funding shows that rural areas of the Dolnośląskie Province were beneficiaries of more than 20 % of the value of the EU co-funding for cultural heritage projects and in this respect they ranked second after the Province capital. At the same time, rural communes and small towns had the highest share of the EU funds in the total value of the projects completed during this period.
Celem artykułu jest analiza sposobów wydatkowania funduszy pomocowych UE tematycznie powiązanych z dobrami kultury, z uwzględnieniem obszaru pochodzenia beneficjenta w okresie 2007-2015. Środki finansowe EU są ważnym źródłem odbudowy i zachowania obiektów dziedzictwa kulturowego oraz ich przystosowania do realizacji zadań, umożliwiających powstawanie nowych funkcji społecznogospodarczych. Wykorzystano dane bazy SIMIK Ministerstwa Infrastruktury i Rozwoju Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej. Na podstawie analizy wartości całkowitej oraz poziomu dofinansowania do realizowanych projektów ze środków UE wykazano, że obszary wiejskie województwa dolnośląskiego były beneficjentem ponad 20% wartości dofinasowania ze środków UE do projektów o charakterze kulturowym i ustępowały pod tym względem stolicy województwa. Jednocześnie w gminach wiejskich i małych miastach odnotowano największy udział procentowy funduszy z UE w wartości całkowitej realizowanych projektów.

Navigational charts are essential tools for marine navigation. But how accurate are the navigational charts that we use when going sailing? Do we really know how much faith can be placed in them? All charts, whether paper or electronic, contain data, which varies in quality due to the age and accuracy of individual surveys. In general, remote areas away from shipping routes tend to be less well surveyed, and less frequently, while areas of high commercial traffic are re-surveyed frequently to very high levels of accuracy, particularly where under-keel clearances are small. It is quite accurate to consider a chart as a jigsaw of individual surveys pieced together to form a single image. Having the necessary skills to determine how much confidence should be placed in the surveys, which combine to form a chart, should be a requirement for any sailor venturing into unfamiliar waters. When the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) developed the S-57 standard for Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs), this problem was recognized and it was decided that the quality of survey data used to compile ENCs had to be encoded within a composite data quality indicator ‘Category of Zone of Confidence’ (CATZOC) to assist seafarers in assessing hydrographic survey data and the associated level of risk of navigating in a particular area. According to IHO S-67, the accuracy of Electronic Navigational Charts is not impressive and leaves much to be desired. The author discusses these apparent shortcomings of ENCs and present erroneous approaches to this problem, so common in the seafaring community.

The categorical concept of a theory for algebras of a given type was foundet by Lawvere in 1963 (see [8]). Hoehnke extended this concept to partial heterogenous algebras in 1976 (see [5]). A partial theory is a dhts-category such that the object class forms a free algebra of type (2,0,0) freely generated by a nonempty set J in the variety determined by the identities ox ≈ o and xo ≈ o, where o and i are the elements selected by the 0-ary operation symbols.
If the object class of a dhts-category forms even a monoid with unit element I and zero element O, then one has a strict partial theory.
In this paper is shown that every J-sorted partial theory corresponds in a natural manner to a J-sorted strict partial theory via a strongly d-monoidal functor. Moreover, there is a pair of adjoint functors between the category of all J-sorted theories and the category of all corresponding J-sorted strict theories.
This investigation needs an axiomatic characterization of the fundamental properties of the category Par of all partial function between arbitrary sets and this characterization leads to the concept of dhts- and dhth∇s-categories, respectively (see [5], [11], [13]).

Sól kamienna występuje w Polsce w obrębie dwóch formacji salinarnych: późnopermskiej (cechsztyńskiej) i wczesnoneogeńskiej (mioceńskiej). Główne znaczenie jako obiekt eksploatacji ma cechsztyńska formacja solonośna. Formacja ta zawiera cztery miąższe kompleksy soli kamiennej, występujące na blisko 2/3 obszaru Polski. Wysady solne występują na Niżu Polskim, pokładowe sole kamienne zlokalizowane są w rejonie Sieroszowic (SW Polska) i na wyniesieniu Łeby (N Polska). Artykuł przedstawia analizę stanu obecnych zasobów soli w Polsce, prezentuje dane dotyczące bilansu zasobów oraz geologicznych warunków występowania złóż. Dużo uwagi poświęcono analizie obszarów perspektywicznych do dalszej eksploatacji.
The rock salt occurs in Poland in the Upper Permian (Zechstein) and Neogene (Middle Miocene) salt-bearing formations. The Zechstein salt formation is the main object of exploitation. It contains four thick complexes of rock salts and occurs over nearly 2/3 of the territory of Poland. Salt domes are located within the Polish Lowlands; subhorizontal Zechstein rock salt formations are known from both the Sieroszowice region (SW Poland) and Łeba Elevation (northern Poland). The paper provides an analysis of the current state of common rock salt resources in Poland and presents data concerning the balance of reserves and geological conditions of the deposits. A particular attention was paid to the analysis of the areas promising for geological exploration.

The degree of future development of agritourism will be strongly influenced by fashion trends that are dictated by the contemporary market. Changing lifestyles of the society, which manifest themselves in the pursuit of buying greener products and seeking unconventional ways of spending free time will further develop this service. Continuous improvement of service offers and introduction of more interesting forms of recreation that guarantee higher quality of services should become key goals for individuals involved in agritourism. The potential of agritourism is slowly being recognized, although in comparison to other forms of accommodation, still a rather small number of Polish tourists choose it. There is therefore a necessity to develop a marketing plan to make agritourism services more distinguishable on the local and foreign tourism markets. In order for rural areas to develop and to provide rural communities with additional sources of income, it undoubtedly seems necessary to differentiate between rural tourism and agritourism.

Modern linguistic research focuses on phenomena that simultaneously affect different branches of science. Abstract nouns, which lie at the intersection of language, speech and thought and a person’s unique ability to generalize, are examples of exactly such phenomena. The grammatical form of the plural, which is a structural basis of language, is increasingly prevalent in the general grammatical theory of language development. The meaning of abstract vocabulary and its plural forms poses researchers with questions that are not always unambiguous: what are the relations of words in a sentence, how do they agree, and what is the participation of the plural in the formation of new lexical meanings and new plural words. The article is devoted to these issues, as well as to the comparative analysis of abstract plural nouns in modern French and Ukrainian. We review the peculiarities of the functioning of abstract plural nouns in typologically dissimilar languages (analytically-inflected French and synthetically-inflecte Ukrainian). We also analyse the semantic transformations of abstract substantives, and we illustrate on a specifi language material their potential ability to convey expressiveness in artistic speech. Examples from literature have made it possible to consider the semantic alterations of abstract plural nouns and, in particular, the number of abstract nouns which appear as the dominant of their semantic modifications. The analysis of works of fiction by French authors, most notably, Françoise Sagan, and their Ukrainian translations, helped to identify the uniqueness of the functioning of singular and plural forms of abstract nouns.

The impact of the economy and transport is currently a closely watched trend. Air transport has many advantages that favor it over other modes of transport. However, the environmental impact of avia- tion on the environment is not negligible, despite the fact that many important aviation organizations are constantly assessing the level of this impact and taking appropriate action on that basis. Despite the adoption of measures to increase air safety, accidents continue to occur. Among other things, they have a negative impact on the environment. The negative impact of an aviation emergency re- sults from the leakage of liquids into the soil and water, and the leakage of flue gases and combustion products of aircraft construction materials in the event of a fire into the air. This article deals with the analysis of aviation accidents in a selected area aiming to identify the parameters affecting the environment in these emergencies.
