    Problems in behaviour disorders are important as the scale of difficult behaviours in children is ever expanding. Behavioral disorders are the result of emotional disorders and lead to social maladjustment. The problems of adaptation may be twofold: they can either appear in the form of aggressive behavior or, in the form of withdrawn behavior. McKinney points out that adjustment is not an opposite of maladjustment, because one can adjust yet in the wrong way.
    Problematyka zaburzeń w zachowaniu wydaje się istotna z uwagi na to, że coraz bardziej poszerza się skala zachowań trudnych, będących wynikiem zaburzeń emocjonalnych i prowadzących często do niedostosowania społecznego. Problemy przystosowawcze mogą mieć dwojaki charakter i pojawiać się pod postacią zachowań agresywnych lub też jako zachowania wycofane, o charakterze internalizacyjnym. McKinney33 zwraca uwagę na to, że dostosowanie nie jest przeciwieństwem niedostosowania, gdyż jednostka może się dostosować, ale w sposób niewłaściwy.

    The mental health of every human being, and who they will become in the future, depends mainly on environmental factors. The basic ecological systems influencing an individual and having the greatest impact on the development of all mental abnormalities are school, family and peers. All negative changes in these ecological systems lead in consequence to the development of behavioural disorders which constitute conditions for the development of pathological traits in an individual. The text presents a general overview of issues concerning behavioural disorders (factors behind their development in the context of disrupted ecological systems, their types, characteristics of socially maladjusted persons, and personality-related consequences of maladjustment).

    Individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the fastest growing disability group, exhibit varying degrees of intellectual ability. Students with ASD are increasingly held accountable to academic standards comparable to their peers. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is widely considered best practice for supporting these students. Twenty-six single-case design (SCD) mathematics classroom teaching interventions, conducted with students diagnosed with ASD, were systematically located and reviewed in detail. Most interventions were conducted in special education mathematics classrooms involving low ability students. Interventions typically targeted simple mathematics skills, and a paucity of research addressing more complex mathematical skills was noted. Elsewhere in the literature, teachers who have students with ASD in their classrooms reported having received no autism training, and described subsequent stress and potential to burn-out as a result. A need for future research with high ability mathematics students is observed, and the relevance of a values paradigm approach is proposed.

    Human communication is significant and distinctive (Yule, 2010). It involves the use of body language, facial expressions and most importantly, oral language. However, due to certain developmental problems, the use of spoken language may be sometimes limited. In those cases, the alternative communication strategies are required to be used with intellectually and physically disabled individuals. In fact, Makaton, a sign – based communication system, is believed to support the communication as well as facilitate language production (Walker, 1981). This study will present a detailed analysis of Makaton, discussing the ways that the system is implemented in Multi – Sensory Storytelling. The research will demonstrate two different modalities and consider whether they can be mutually supportive and provide simple communication. The study is specifically aimed at exploring the connections between Makaton and Multi – Sensory Storytelling, presented by professional caregivers to children with intellectual and physical disabilities. A linguistic analysis of Makaton will be presented as well as the discussion on the interactive style of the storytellers. The research will attempt at evaluating how highly trained a practitioner needs to be in order to deliver Multi – Sensory Stories using Makaton. It is clear that the analyzed data will have an impact on the final conclusions of this paper.

    Gluten is a widely used ingredient which causes viscosity and elasticity of the dough. The toxic effects of gluten found in humans are mainly based on immune reactions. Celiac disease is the most common gluten-dependent disease based on these reactions. One of the commonly used methods of diagnosis of celiac disease is a gluten provocation. Autism is becoming more and more recognized readily form of disability diagnosed in children. It is suggested that this impairment affects 1 in 68 children and is one of the five most common disability in the world. Autism spectrum disorders increasingly focuses scientific interest and raises discussions. Until now, autism often has been considered as a disease and autistic people are wrongly judged as geeks locked in their own world. On the Internet and the social media can be found films showing examples of people behavior affected by this disorder. There are various forums where parents and caregivers of people with autism exchange experiences about diet and treatments described as the "miracle cure". Immediately after the diagnosis of autism parents often decide to introduce their children a variety of diets, including gluten-free diet. They often live in the strong stress and alone in their efforts, and also they are almost deprived of specialist medical care. So the diet is often a selection of desperate parent or guardian, not a treatment supported by medical facts.

    W opracowaniu, na podstawie przeglądu publikacji z ostatnich lat, przybliżono problem zaburzeń integracji sensorycznej, omówiono ich objawy oraz podano przykłady zachowań, jakie można dostrzec u dotkniętego nimi dziecka. Zwrócono uwagę na fakt, że zaburzenia w tym obszarze mogą znacznie utrudniać, czy nawet ograniczać jego funkcjonowanie w życiu społecznym, rodzinnym i szkolnym. Pozbawiają je bowiem doświadczeń, które są mu potrzebne do nauki i prawidłowego rozwoju. Istotną rolę odgrywa zatem wczesne rozpoznanie zaburzenia, którego celem jest wdrożenie terapii pozwalającej przezwyciężyć deficyt i/lub się do niego przystosować. Problem zaburzeń integracji sensorycznej jest istotny, bowiem coraz większa liczba dzieci je przejawia. Należy również nadmienić, że często są one zaburzeniami współistniejącymi, np. przy autyzmie, zaburzeniach hiperkinetycznych, dysleksji, niepełnosprawności intelektualnej czy u dzieci z grupy ryzyka zaburzeń rozwojowych (obciążenia okołoporodowe, cesarskie cięcie, wcześniactwo).
    Based on a review of recent publications, the paper offers an insight into the issue of sensory processing disorder (SPD), discusses its signs and symptoms, and gives examples of behaviors that can be seen in children with SPD. It points to the fact that sensory processing disorder can significantly hinder or even limit children's functioning in their social life, family, and school as it deprives them of experiences that are essential for learning and normal development. That is why it is important to diagnose the disorder early to implement treatment that will help to overcome and/or adapt to SPD. The problem of sensory processing disorder is important as more and more children are suffering from it. It should also be mentioned that it is frequently a comorbid condition, which co-occurs, for example, with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and intellectual disability or develops in children at risk of developmental disorders (due to perinatal complications, cesarean section or prematurity).

    Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disorder affecting communication and behavior extensively conducted for research. The systematic literature review aims to provide insight into the latest intervention trends for children with autism between 2011 and 2021 and to identify the main topics discussed in the literature. Ten studies were chosen for analysis using the PRISMA screening method. The findings showed that the primary focus of these studies has been on evidence-based early intervention for social communication, behavior management, and the role of parents and schools in the therapy process. The current review offers significant insights into the present state of knowledge in the field of autism intervention and proposes potential areas for future research.
    Zaburzenie ze spektrum autyzmu (ASD) jest szeroko badanym, złożonym zaburzeniem rozwojowym wpływającym na komunikację i zachowanie. Systematyczny przegląd literatury ma na celu zapewnienie wglądu w najnowsze trendy wczesnej interwencji u dzieci z autyzmem w latach 2011-2021 oraz zidentyfikowanie głównych tematów omawianych w literaturze. Do analizy przy użyciu metody przesiewowej PRISMA zostało wybranych dziesięć badań. Wyniki wykazały, że prace te koncentrowały się głównie na opartej na dowodach wczesnej interwencji w zakresie komunikacji społecznej, kontroli zachowania oraz roli rodziców i szkół w procesie terapeutycznym. Obecny przegląd oferuje znaczący dostęp do aktualnego stanu wiedzy z zakresu wczesnej interwencji w przypadkach autyzmu i określa potencjalne obszary przyszłych badań.
