Opis:
The paper presents initial research on method, which improves precise indoor localization and steering of autonomous mobile devices that can be used for medical applications like: patient’s state monitoring, medicine distribution or environmental data collection before medical intervention (in case of biohazard or fire). The localization of object is based on optical codes, which are modified to be easily identified from distance in low light. Multiple codes modification was tested to find optimal ones. The visual recognition system is using Hough transform and Canny edge detection to read values from code. The novelty of the proposed method is reading values directly from image, without scaling and rotation. Moreover, the steering algorithm for identified device is proposed. It takes distance and decision uncertainty under consideration. The proposed method was verified against state-of-the-art optical codes in real-world indoor environment. Finally, the further research directions are discussed.

Opis:
Basically, relocation, protection, warehousing and management of materials and products throughout the logistics chain (manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, consumption and disposal) are referred to as cargo handling. Cargo handling includes a variety of manual, semi-automated and automated devices, processes and systems supporting the manufacture and logistics, and helps with the efficient cargo flow across the logistics chain. This research study designs an approach technique (procedure) to specify a proper type of the autonomous cart as a part of handling devices for its service activities within the area of opted logistics center applying an adequate multiple-criteria analysis method. Introductory parts of the paper summarize relevant literature review regarding research topic, methods and procedures important to compile the draft technique, identify all the relevant criteria used for the given purpose as well as define variants of autonomous carts taken into consideration in order to calculate the final outcome. The most important chapter specifies the approach technique design itself including application of method to calculate the criteria weights as well as use of the multiple-criteria analysis method, specifically the Weighted-Sum Approach, in order to define the variant ranking.

Opis:
This article considers a new method of decomposing the ship route into global and local planning using MATLAB and Simulink developed by the authors. The authors propose to create a program code in MATLAB and operate it into Simulink. Wherein, the corrective coefficients were written in MATLAB. Such trajectories are constructed as a set of points, collected into the special matrix. In determining of the angle value of the rudder was used the ship’s turning ability such as: high (HG), middle (MD) or low (LW) with regard to passage area. Moreover, in the article were analyzed and calculated the ship rudder effectiveness for Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control. The paper is devoted to the problem of safety navigation. First of all is the task of planning the path: the trajectory of the vessel’s movement in the local water area. The purpose of planning the vessel trajectory in the local water area is to ensure navigation safety due to marine traffic and environmental conditions. One of the tasks of the present work is controlling following a desired trajectory. The article notes affect of the vessel motion deviation into control process.
