The subject of the paper is navigating of the automated guided vehicles (AGV) problems. The authors’ special attention was focused on the solutions dedicated for the container terminals. The paper is focused on the UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) localization problem, trajectories planning, work space mapping and AGV control problem. Described methods and tools for control problems are connected with chosen artificial intelligence solutions dedicated for autonomous vehicles working in container terminal.

Opis:
In this paper, the basics of navigation in automated guided vehicles are presented. Errors in determining the position and methods used for the position correction are described. These methods are based on laser technology. In the work, two such methods are presented. The first one uses a laser scanner to measure the angles between the markers. The second method uses a laser scanner applied to the development of digital maps. The considerations included in the work are supported by some examples.

This paper presents a simulation model of multi-load AGV system with artificial intelligence controller that is dedicated to be used in work transport control. The single AVG system with multi-load mean of transport is obtained assuming that the carrier capacity is big-enough to carry many lots at the single route. This model consists of a fuzzy logic and a genetic algorithms technics that minimize the total costs including transportation, setting up pick-up and/or delivery stations, and material handling devices. An example of \implementation of the model is given. The simulation experiment is conducted and the results are presented.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to present the most common problems faced by enterprises in terms of organizing their internal transport processes and to indicate a solution to make this optimization possible. The study highlights the benefits of implementing AGV trucks and the possibility of deploying such a solution based on practical examples. The differences apparent in the traditional picking process and process supported by the described technology were also discussed.

Opis:
The authors of this article presented technologies of spreading coatings over structural details of automated guided vehicles used in the handling terminals. Technological process of painting with the use of powder paints was presented, as well as innovative methods of surface preparation with the use of BONDERITE M‐NT 2011 technology and OXILAN 9807 preparation. Modern methods of surface preparation with production of silane conversion coatings were presented and analysed. The authors of this article selected a system of guaranteed power supply of the processing lines. ABCUS software was applied to check the time of battery backup of UPS units in selected N+1 system.
