    The “fear of the foreign” is a phenomenon which seems to divide the European Union, which is not an individual phenomenon, but one of the societies. This article discusses possible methods how to deal with this fear through multicultural music education. The short “history” of mul-ticultural music education in Germany from 1983 up to 2020 shows how this problem was addressed there. The author has developed a method of dramatic interpretation of music, which is suitable for dealing with fear without mentioning the topics “fear” and “the foreign”, but playing the cultural background of different kinds of music which are familiar to migrants and refugees living in Europe.

    In terms of a huge dissemination of the Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia) in contemporary societies, there is a serious need for developing and disseminating scientific-based knowledge about some effective psychological treatments. Because of that, the main aim of the article is to describe the Internet-based treatment and mobile applications with reference to social phobia. The effectiveness, limitations and strengths regarding this kind of therapy as well as the future research areas are depicted.
    Ze względu na szeroki zasięg fobii społecznej we współczesnych społeczeństwach istnieje potrzeba rozwijania oraz rozpowszechniania wiedzy na temat skutecznych metod terapii tego zaburzenia. Stąd też celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie sposobów terapii fobii społecznej przy zastosowaniu technologii internetowej za pomocą specjalnych programów internetowych (z j. ang. Internet-based treatment) oraz aplikacji mobilnych. W artykule omówiona została specyfika tego podejścia do terapii, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jej efektywności oraz ograniczeń i mocnych stron. W konkluzji zostały też przedstawione obszary z tego zakresu, które powinny zostać poddane dalszym analizom badawczym.

    Opis:
    Thanatopedagogical Relational Alternative Therapy is an integral element of the developing thanatopedagogy. It originates in the experience connected with working with terminally ill children and their parents. In the context of this diagnostic and therapeutic tool, in the years 2009–2014 a research, which aimed at recognizing the perception of the fear of death, was conducted in the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine and Italy. The presented part of the studies was conducted in quantitative strategy by authorial tool. The sample was 792 persons form assistance professions.
    Tanatopedagogiczna Relacyjna Terapia Zastępcza (TRTZ) jest integralnym elementem rozwijającej się tanatopedagogiki i swoje źródło czerpie z doświadczenia w pracy z dziećmi terminalnie chorymi oraz ich rodzicami. W kontekście powstałego narzędzia diagnostyczno- terapeutycznego, w latach 2009–2014 przeprowadzono w Czechach, Polsce, na Ukrainie i we Włoszech badania, których celem było poznanie percepcji lęku przed śmiercią. Prezentowana część badań została przeprowadzona w strategii ilościowej, narzędziem autorskim na próbie 792 osób reprezentujących zawody pomocowe.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest interpretacja czterech współczesnych utworów prozatorskich autorstwa kobiet, poruszających zagadnienia terapii oraz pobytu w szpitalu psychiatrycznym. Tekst zawiera rozpoznania bazujące na historycznych sytuacjach kobiet: histerii, praktykach dyscyplinowania i wmawiania szaleństwa. Autorka artykułu przygląda się tekstom Aleksandry Zielińskiej, Olgi Hund, Agnieszki Jelonek i Justyny Wicenty, pytając o dokonane przez nie rekonstrukcje figury kobiecego szaleństwa. Zwraca przy tym uwagę nie tylko na tematyzowanie kryzysów i chorób psychicznych, ale również na narracyjne i stylistyczne strategie pisania o nich. Rozważania koncentrują się na obrazach szpitala psychiatrycznego oraz relacji między pacjentkami a terapeutami i psychiatrami. Przestrzeń szpitala traktowana jest w przywoływanych tekstach głównie ironicznie, nie staje się bowiem miejscem leczenia, ale opresji. Inaczej dzieje się w przypadku opisów terapii: interpretacje ujawniają stopniową rezygnację bohaterek/narratorek z dystansu na rzecz aktywnego uczestnictwa w sesjach psychoterapeutycznych.
    The main aim of the article is to interpret four contemporary prose works written by women, touching on the issues of therapy and staying in a psychiatric hospital. The text contains observations based on women’s historical situations: hysteria, practices of disciplining, and insinuating madness. The article's author looks at texts written by Aleksandra Zielińska, Olga Hund, Agnieszka Jelonek, and Justyna Wicenty, asking about the reconstruction of the figure of female madness. She draws attention not only to the thematics of crises and mental illnesses but also to the narrative and stylistic strategies of writing about them. The considerations focus on the images of a psychiatric hospital and relationships between patients and therapists/psychiatrists. The hospital space is treated mainly ironically - it is not a place of healing but of oppression. The situation is different in the case of descriptions of therapy: interpretations reveal the abandonment of distance in favor of active participation in psychotherapy sessions.

    Wprowadzenie. Rodzice dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu (Autism Spectrum Disorders, AS D – ang.) doświadczają przewlekłego stresu, który często przeradza się w zaburzenia lękowe i depresyjne, a także dysfunkcje somatyczne. Ze względu na permanentne obciążenie konieczne jest zastosowanie terapii, prowadzącej do zmniejszenia niepokojących objawów, i rozwijanie skutecznych strategii radzenia sobie. Nieliczne jeszcze publikacje dostarczają danych o skuteczności terapii poznawczo-behawioralnej zastosowanej wobec rodziców i opiekunów dzieci z ASD. Cel. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie polskich badań potwierdzających efektywność terapii poznawczo-behawioralnej zastosowanej wobec rodziców dzieci z ASD. Materiały i metody. W pracy zastosowano następujące narzędzia: SES – Skalę samooceny Rosenberga oraz STAI – kwestionariusz lęku jako cechy i stanu Spielbergera. Wyniki. Na podstawie analizy wskaźników uzyskanych przed zastosowaniem interwencji i po niej, w grupie eksperymentalnej oraz w grupie kontrolnej (niepoddanej terapii) należy stwierdzić, że po interwencji nastąpiło statystycznie istotne obniżenie poziomu lęku jako stanu oraz wzrost poziomu samooceny. Analogicznych zmian nie stwierdzono w grupie niepoddawanej interwencji. Wnioski. Podjęta wobec rodziców dzieci z AS D interwencja terapeutyczna zrealizowana w podejściu poznawczo-behawioralnym stanowi efektywną metodę niwelowania poziomu lęku i podnoszenia samooceny.
    Introduction. Parents of children with asD experience chronic stress, which often turns into anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as somatic dysfunctions. Due to the permanent burden, it is necessary to apply therapy leading to the reduction of disturbing symptoms and the development of effective coping strategies. Few publications yet provide data on the effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy applied to parents and caregivers of children with ASD. Aim. The aim of the article is to present Polish research confirming the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapy provided to parents of children with ASD. Materials and methods. The following tools were used in the study: Rosenberg self-esteem scale – ses and state-Trait anxiety Inventory (sTaI). Results. Based on the analysis of the indicators obtained before and after the intervention in the experimental group and in the control group (not treated), it may be concluded that after the intervention there was a statistically significant reduction in the level of anxiety as a state and an increase in the level of self-esteem. similar changes were not found in the group not subjected to intervention. Conclusions. The therapeutic intervention undertaken for parents of children with ASD implemented in the cognitive-behavioural approach is an effective method of reducing the level of anxiety and increasing self-esteem.
