lycopene - Opis:
- Nutritionists are increasingly interested in biologically active substances that may have positive impact on health status. Lycopene is a phytochemical that belongs to antioxidant carotenoids. Lycopene may protect cells and tissues against free radicals damage. Researchers are focused on its usefulness for the prevention of neoplastic diseases. Lycopene inhibits oxidative changes in meat during storage. Newborn animals may ingest great amounts of lycopene in colostrum and milk. Lycopene is the main carotenoid of human colostrum. The aim of this paper was to present the aspects connected with antioxidative lycopene activity in animals feed.
