Artykuł analizuje najnowsze zapożyczenia językowe pojawiające się w trakcie emisji współczesnych ukraińskich programów humorystycznych i rozrywkowych oraz popularnego serialu młodzieżowego. Dowiedziono, iż zapożyczenia językowe wykorzystywane są nie tylko w postaci wtrąceń obcojęzycznych, ale również ulegają zmianom w zakresie obszaru semantycznego, zyskując nowe zabarwienie stylistyczne.
The article deals with the new lexical borrowings analysis in the discourse of the modern Ukrainian comedy shows, entertainment programs and popular youth series. It has been proved that foreign borrowed lexemes are used not just in terms of foreign language lexical units; they experience the semantic structure changes and obtain the new stylistic expressions.

Opis:
Novels that cover action taking place in the 21st century refer to all kinds of social phenomena, including the ways in which people communicate, which are very different from those popular only 40 years ago. Literary works provide the names of devices (computer, laptop, palmtop, iPhone, iPad, tablet, smartphone), as well as the companies which manufacture them (Dell, Apple, Nokia, Samsung). Novels include the names of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel), social media (Facebook), and internet communicators (Messenger). There are also words that denote the activities performed while using these devices and applications (to log in, to click, to email, to google). The majority of these words originate from English and have international scope.
Powieści obyczajowe i kryminalne o akcji rozgrywającej się w XXI wieku rejestrują wszelkie zjawiska społeczne. Do nich można zaliczyć sposoby komunikowania się ludzi, tak różne od tych sprzed 40 lat. Utwory literackie dostarczają nazw urządzeń (komputer, laptop, palmtop, iPhone, iPad, tablet, smartfon) oraz firm je produkujących (Dell, Apple, Nokia, Samsung). Znajdujemy w nich nazwy programów komputerowych (Windows, Word, Excel), mediów społecznościowych (Facebook), komunikatorów (Messenger). Nie brak określeń czynności wykonywanych w trakcie ich używania (zalogować się, kliknąć, mailować, guglać). Absolutna większość tych słów pochodzi z języka angielskiego i ma zasięg międzynarodowy.

Celem pracy jest zbadanie wpływu języka instytucji europejskich (eurożargonu)na dyskurs polskich europosłów w mediach, publicznych wystąpieniach i debatach.W części teoretycznej opisano związane z tematem podstawowe zagadnienia i wybranąliteraturę oraz zaprezentowano cechy językowe eurożargonu w języku polskim. Częśćempiryczna jest poświęcona analizie jakościowej wypowiedzi Janusza Lewandowskiego,Marka Migalskiego i Jacka Kurskiego. Analiza dotyczy przyczyn użycia elementóweurożargonu w ich wypowiedziach, a także określenia dominujących w nich kategorii elementówobcych.

 West Slavic languages and English loanwords in the last two decades – an overview of grammar, lexicon, pragmatics and the socio-cultural contexThe recent decades, as is generally acknowledged, have been a period of profound changes in Central and Eastern Europe. These changes are reflected in the lexicon. Nominative needs have caused a remarkable vocabulary growth, with loanwords constituting a numerous and still growing group. The main research goal of the authors of the monograph project introduced in this article is to look into the influence of the English language upon West Slavic languages. The effect of Anglicisms on the phonetic, morphological and lexical subsystems will be subject to an in-depth examination. Of particular importance will be the adaptative processes affecting these loanwords in Czech, Polish and Slovak. The authors will also take into account the pragmatic aspect of borrowings as well as their functioning in the social and cultural context. This contrastive approach will make it possible to indicate similarities and differences in the process of assimilating English borrowings into West Slavic languages. Języki zachodniosłowiańskie wobec pożyczek angielskich w ostatnim dwudziestoleciu – gramatyka, leksyka, pragmatyka, uwarunkowania społeczno-kulturoweArtykuł jest poświęcony omówieniu planowanej monografii na temat nowszych i najnowszych pożyczek angielskich w językach: czeskim, polskim i słowackim. Ostatnie dziesięciolecia były, jak wiadomo, okresem zasadniczych zmian w Europie środkowo-wschodniej. Zmiany te odzwierciedla leksyka. Potrzeby nominatywne spowodowały ilościowy wzrost słownictwa, w którym odrębną grupę – liczną i ciągle rosnącą – stanowią pożyczki. Zasadniczym celem badaw czym autorów monografii jest odpowiedź na pytanie, jaki jest wpływ języka angielskiego na języki zachodniosłowiańskie. Przedmiotem szczegółowych rozważań będzie oddziaływanie anglicyzmów na podsystemy fonetyczny, morfologiczny, leksykalny. Za ważne uznaje się zwłaszcza prześledzenie procesów adaptacyjnych tych pożyczek w języku czeskim, polskim i słowackim. Autorzy uwzględnią także aspekt pragmatyczny zapożyczeń oraz ich funkcjonowanie w kontekście społecznym i kulturowym. Ujęcie konfrontatywne umożliwi wskazanie podobieństw lub różnic w procesie przyswajania przez języki zachodniosłowiańskie pożyczek angielskich.

Die Sprachpflege ist nicht nur das Anliegen der Sprachwissenschaftler. Die Medien – darunter die auflagenstarken Zeitungen – sind hierfür ein ideales Forum. In dem Artikel wurden mehrere Texte aus Die Welt und Süddeutsche Zeitung der Analyse unterzogen, die den aktuellen Fremdwortfragen (besonders den englischen Entlehnungen) gewidmet sind. Es stellt sich heraus, dass – abgesehen von unterschiedlichen Stellungnahmen – der goldene Mittelweg die Oberhand gewinnt. Außerdem ist es nicht möglich, an verschiedene Sprachschichten, darunter die Fachsprache, nur einen Maßstab zu legen.
The aim of the paper is to show how linguistic topics, in this case the presence of lexicological issues and infiltration of German loanwords in English (ie. anglicisms and pseudo-anglicisms), is presented to average citizens (ie. non-experts) in the German press. It is very important because it allows the social dialogue, which is later used by linguists to put forward proposals and to contribute to the possible modification of vocabulary through a real impact on the shape of the dictionaries and glossaries. The analysis was conducted on the basis of selected articles of the online editions of newspapers Die Welt and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Troska o poprawność języka to zadanie nie tylko dla językoznawców. Media – w tym gazety wielkonakładowe – są do tego idealnym forum. W artykule przedstawiono kilka tekstów poświęconych ciągle aktualnej dyskusji nt. obcych zapożyczeń w języku niemieckim. Wynika z nich, że mimo różnych stanowisk przeważa pogląd tzw. złotego środka. Poza tym nie można stosować jednej miary do różnych odmian języka, w tym języka fachowego.

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy problematyki wariantywności zapożyczeń angielskich we współczesnym języku polskim oraz rosyjskim. Materiał empiryczny stanowią warianty anglicyzmów (ortograficzne, fonologiczno‑ortograficzne, akcentuacyjne, morfologiczne) wyekscerpowane przede wszystkim z najnowszych słowników wyrazów obcych, które pojawiły się na rynku wydawniczym w przeciągu ostatnich 15 lat. Istotą podjętej analizy jest ustalenie wspólnych „regularnych odpowiedniości” wariancji anglicyzmów funkcjonujących w obu językach słowiańskich, a także zidentyfikowanie zindywidualizowanych rodzajów wariancji charakterystycznych dla konkretnego języka narodowego. Ważnym celem badania jest także ustalenie przyczyn powstawania tak dużej liczby form alternatywnych w obu językach oraz obnażenie problemów towarzyszących zjawisku wariantywności anglicyzmów. Podjęte rozważania są niezwykle istotne z kilku perspektyw. Po pierwsze, wariantywność zapożyczeń jest sporym problemem i zarazem wyzwaniem dla leksykografów i językoznawców normatywistów, którzy nadal poszukują sposobów standaryzacji ogromu wyrazów obcych o nieustabilizowanej formie. Po drugie, istnienie ekwiwalentów językowych danej jednostki to ewidentna trudność dla przeciętnego użytkownika języka, który jest zdezorientowany, ponieważ nie wie jak pisać lub jak wymawiać nowe słowo, a słowniki nie zawsze dają podpowiedź. Uzyskane wyniki badań mogą być impulsem do podjęcia działań w zakresie uporządkowania zasad adaptacyjnych zapożyczeń i „ujarzmienia” narastającego chaosu w piśmiennictwie obu języków.
The present work discusses the issues of the variantivity of borrowings from English into modern Polish and Russian. The material for study is variants of English borrowings (based on spelling, spelling and pronunciation, stress pattern, and morphology), excerpted mainly from newest dictionaries of foreign words that have been published over the last 15 years. The analysis aims to determine common “regular correspondencies” of such variants present in the two Slavic languages under discussion, and to identify the individualised variances typical of a particular national language. An important objective of the study is also to specify the reasons why alternative forms have been emerging so numerously in both languages, and to unearth some problems underlying the variantivity of Anglicisms. The research presented in this paper is significant for several perspectives: firstly, variantivity is a challenge to lexicographers and normative linguists still attempting to standardise the enormity of foreign lexical items of an unstable form. Secondly, the fact that a given item has its equivalents poses a problem to average language users who are often confused and do not know how to write or pronounce a word, with dictionaries not necessarily being helpful in this respect. The obtained results may encourage further steps towards the systematization of principles governing the adaptation of borrowings and the attempts to tame the present escalating chaos in Polish and Russian literature on the subject.

Dans le présent article on effectue une description systématique de 260 mots japonais d’origine européenne. Ceux de provenance anglaise (parfois parvenus à l’anglais via le français) en constituent une grande majorité. La recherche porte exclusivement sur le lexique général (environ 6000 mots) et ne prend pas en compte de mots provenant des registres spécifiques. Le matériel analysé, qui constitue juste un échantillon à compléter, est relativement récent, vu que le Japon ne s’ouvre au monde occidental et à ses langues que dans la deuxième moitié du XIXe siècle. En 1867, après la suppresion du shogunat, l’empereur Mutsuhito commence la modernisation du pays. Les exemples recensés se répartissent en deux types : emprunts de nécessité (selon Louis Deroy), comme taipuraita (fr. machine à écrire, angl. typewriter) et emprunts de luxe comme omuretsu (angl. omelet(te)), classé ainsi puisque le japonais disposait d’un terme propre : tamago‑yaki.
The article discusses over 260 European borrowings in Japanese. In most cases they are Anglicisms (often of French origin). The research was conducted on the basic vocabulary (excluding technical and specialist terminology) consisting of about 6000 words. The list should not be considered a finished project but is the outcome of a preliminary research. Since Japan opened to the Western world and Western languages relatively recently (in the second half of the nineteenth century), the vocabulary is relatively new. The vocabulary discussed in the article is divided into two categories: necessary (de nécessité) and unnecessary (de luxe) borrowings.
W artykule przedstawiono zbiór przeszło 260 zapożyczeń z języków europejskich w japońszczyźnie. W ogromnej większości są to anglicyzmy (często pochodzenia francuskiego). Poszukiwaniem objęto słownictwo podstawowe (z całkowitym pominięciem terminologii technicznej, fachowej): około 6000 haseł. Zbiór bynajmniej nie jest kompletny, stanowi jedynie próbę rekonesansu. Zebrany zasób leksykalny jest stosunkowo świeżej daty, dopiero bowiem w drugiej połowie XIX wieku Japonia otwiera się na kontakty ze światem zachodnim, a więc i z jego językami. W 1867 r., po usunięciu szogunatu, cesarz Mutsuhito (Meiji Tennō, panuje od 1867 do 1912 r.) rozpoczyna modernizację kraju. Zebrany materiał dzieli się na zapożyczenia konieczne (de nécessité według L. Deroy), jak taipuraita ‘maszyna do pisania’, z ang. typewriter, i zapożyczenia niekonieczne (de luxe), jak omuretsu ‘omlet’, z ang. omelet(te), albowiem istniała nazwa rodzima na określenie tej potrawy: tamago‑yaki.

The aim of the article is to analyse the English quotation borrowings that entered the Polish language at the turn of the twenty and 21st century. Due to the reason mentioned above the English quotation borrowings are divided according to the type of innovation: either supplementary or alternative one. Moreover, within each group the semantic fi elds with the greatest number of examples are characterised. Additionally, partly adapted forms of some of the presented borrowings are described as well as examples of inconsistent records.

Opis:
This piece of research presents an analysis of the use of anglicisms in the Spanish press at the beginning of the 21st century. Specifi cally, it concentrates on their distribution in texts belonging to different thematic domains. Thus, the purpose of this study is to establish a ranking of specialised fi elds in terms of the frequency with which anglicisms are employed in them. In order to do so, the Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual (CREA), compiled by the Real Academia Española, is used as the source for texts, which supports the reliability and representativeness of the present work.

The subject of this article is the modern jargon of Russian youth. The authors present an analysis of borrowings relating to narcotics and love. Quoting dictionary entries, they try to prove that inner borrowings constitute the most numerous group, and among foreign borrowings those from the English language are most frequent.
